I've done a lot of cool stuff, made amazing friends, and still, one of the things I was proudest of was the fact Mark freaking Hamill once liked a Tweet of mine. Nothing extraordinary, it was just a comment about how people always call the monster Frankenstein, when that was the Dr. I made some joke I can't remember, and then a short time later I not I over that Mark had liked it. Blue check mark and everything.
I may never meet the actors who okayed the roles of my childhood heroes, but at the very least I had a minor connection with one of them over Frankensteins Monster.
And you're 100% correct. I don't think I've ever heard a story about a fan having a bad encounter with him. He's giving, kind, stands up for those who can't stand for themselves, funny, charming. The more I think about it, the more I realize he is perhaps my favorite person in film history. Tremendous human being.

@@snerdterguson Mark Hamill is supremely awesome because he knows how much his roles mean to fans. While other actors may lament some of their former roles because they hate being type casted, Mark has fun with his former roles because he knows how big an impact he had on so many of us who grew up watching Batman or idolizing Luke Skywalker.

I had a huge crush on Mark Mamill in highschool. So weird how time has gone by so fast.
I'm a straight male and honestly, I kinda got a crush on him too. Such a great person who is so giving, kind, willing to stand up for what he believes in, funny and you never hear a bad word about him. Every time I hear a story about him meeting fans, spending time with someone who needs a pick me up. Every single story makes us love him more. Isn't it terrific that the guy who played Luke Skywalker shares the qualities that made Luke a hero?

Thank you Mark for sharing that you were on my favorite characters in Star wars besides Yada. Episode 6 or episode 7 when you and Han Solo passed away I was surprised but you know you've been in so many movies it's amazing. The Star wars movie is better than the Avatar movie.
Some bonds are more durable than the strongest element. Earth and rock are eroded away with water, and water can't wash it away. Wind can blow away dust, and housing with enough force, but it can't disperse what we can be to each other. Carrie left a 'Mark' on us that can't be explained, or dismissed. She was the right character to play Leia Organa, and isn't easily overshadowed by CGI and voice replacements.
I've never noticed Mark so shaky before. It's hard for me to fathom that Luke Skywalker is 71 now. Damn, we're old.
