I have a Macbook pro laptop I got from the recyclers bin at my work. Its seem to work fine but it has no running system on it, I have no CD for this as well. I would like to know what system does it need and how would I make a boot USB for this machine??? If you could help me out, this would be really great.....Thanks
Hello, at the end of the video, you said that you need to erase the hard disk.. But if you do it, all documents are lost, aren't they? As I want to downgrade from Sierra, I've seen that having a backup of your files is the thing to do.
Thanks for sharing but the problem is on my Early 2009 iMac i cant sign into the app store also a get a message to update the Browsers please help.
Hi, I am trying to upgrade my mid-2010MacBook Pro. I have a new Samsung SSD HD and more RAM to install. I want to do a fresh install with El Capitan. As soon as I get to the stage using Terminal, after entering my password, I get the following message: "Failed to start erase of disk due to error (-9999, 0).
A error occurred erasing the disk."
A google search has led me to believe the error is because I am still using OS X 10.6.8. Do you know if there is a way around this?
Can I partition my internal SSD on my Mac Mini so that I have High Sierra running on one partition (this is my present setup already running on my internal SSD) and El Capitan running in the newly partitioned partition?
sudo: /Applications/Install OS X El Capitan.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia: command not found

Did you ever get an answer to your question or resolve your issue?
What do you do if you already have it on your computer. Do you just re download it?
Re-download to make sure you get the latest update. Follow the instructions on the video.

+Sam C (Customized Rolling Paper)
Have a look at your command: You've written "sudo: /Appli....", but it should be "sudo /Appli..." (without ":")
+Mirol Pirol I fixed the issue on the comment section last week. Thanks for the feedback..
after typing sudo...... my mac answer was media: command not found
So I’ll need to use another mac to get the osx?
Cristian Sosa no. Just go to Apple website using any computer . Follow steps for the Mac iOS you need and then have a bootable drive
Why don't you just copy the El Capitan.app to the thumb drive and use it?
That’s what I thought, can you confirm that it would work?
