  • The badminton defense footwork to the forehand corner is very important to master. In this step by step tutorial I will guide you through the basic footwork technique and the shot technique in the high forehand lift.

    What is Spraino? 🧐👟
Research has shown that most ankle sprain injuries occur when the edge of the shoe is sticking to the playing surface. This creates an anchor around which an injury can occur, when subject to a bad landing. This anchoring point can be removed by applying Spraino onto your shoes thereby mitigating the risk:
Spraino minimizes friction on the lateral edge of your shoe and will alleviate more than 90% of the injuring force in a typical injury situation. This allows your foot to return to its natural position, and in this way helps you avoid the otherwise unavoidable injury.
Spraino is unnoticeable during regular play since it only covers the absolute edge of the shoe.
    The recovery step:👇🏻
In some cases it can be a good idea to use a recovery step when going back from a pressured situation. You can save some muscle power as you take a small step with the foot you land on, and then the big push back after that back to the center, that's why it is called a recovery step.
You can say it takes you back out from the pressured position, so it is easier to push back with good quality.
Try it with the recovery step and try it without. In my mind the movement without the extra step is faster and more explosive, but yes also a bit harder for your legs to do😉

I just got the new Yonex 65Z2 shoe which is really amazing, but probably also a bit expensive for you, but that would be my recommendation😉

Could you by any chance record yourself with a highspeed camera in slow motion and with a head cam in slow motion doing a backhand clear and what grip you use in different scenarios, whether it being a bevel grip or an ordinary grip? I've tried the bevel grip it feels good for backhand drops and angles but I don't get power.

What string do you use on your 88D?
I'm using the same racquet but struggling finding it a stable string for playing and training. Thin string easily break while training, thick one is lack of repulsion.
    I strung mine @25lbs.

@@BadmintonFamly I totally agree with anurag sharma, we need small recovery else it will be very difficult to change direction with large step back as shown in this clip, even though if one manages to change direction one will be slow on contrast if we take small recovery one can change direction easily and can move fluidly.
