Hey thomas it's really nice video with explanation but i would recommend to upload some exercises for the new players adapt these footwork in the matches. So please some agility exercises or exercises for power shots. 🙏
Hi there Badminton Family, another excellent and helpful video! One thing I'd need clarification on is the directional splitstep which, as useful as it looks, but doesn't it imply that I know where the shuttle is going before you actually do the splitstep? I always thought one does the (neutral) splitstep and then on seeing where the shuttle goes, pushes into the respective direction? A big thumps up and cheers from Germany.
Yep agreed what you say. You can also use the normal split step and quickly add a small directional after to go that direction. Yes this method is mostly when we know it comes💪🏻
While playing the forehand rear deep corner I'm having pain in my big toe, is it because of my footwork that i land on my feet not on my heel or is it because of my wrong sizing of shoes?? Thanks in advance help would be a great help!!
How can I start using different footwork techniques in regular play? After practicing, I can shadow it, but the unpredictability of a real scenario makes it difficult to apply.
You need a partner / coach to randomly feed a shuttle to a position on the court. You have to play the shuttle back to them each time 🤔😏 Once you can do that, applying it in a game becomes easier.
Thank you, there's so many vids that are inconsistent on what to do with the back court def! So I'm glad you guys did this topic! :)
