Or direct her attention to the year 325AD, when the tri(3)nity was first formulated at the Council of Niacea. However, a christian listens to the voice of Jesus and not to strangers. Jesus words found at : John 2: 23, 24: " Nevertheless, the hour is coming, and it is now, when the true worshippers will worship *the* *Father* with spirit and truth, for indeed, *the* *Father* is looking for ones like these to worship him. God is a Spirit, and those worshipping him must worship with spirit and truth. Apostle Paul clearly taught one person 'alone' is God: Actually to us there is One God the * Father* ......" No he didn't say that the Son, or holy spirit is God...only *the* * Father* is the One God, whom Jesus called : " the *only* true God , at John 17: 3. Praise be to the God and Father of our lord Jesus Christ. ( 2 Corinthians 1: 3 )
I had a Jehovahs witness over on Saturday. Because of this ministry, i was able to share the true Christ with them and call then to repent. Thank you for your faithfulness brother.
What exactly do they to repent? Even if they are wrong they are doing something Christian are supposed to do by preaching the Gospel to others but because you don't you feel envy like Cain his brother killed Abel as he was envious of his sacrifice.

The MOST IMPORTANT THING I took from this conversation is that Jeff's attitude was one of "loving concern". He said it twice. In all the back-and-forth, all the facts and scriptures, he wasn't trying to match wits with them or win an argument or prove them wrong. His intention and motivation was one of loving concern. It's such a subtle point, but so critical in effective evangelism. We can avoid talking with people because we think we won't have the right answers, or the person will outsmart us, or we might lose the argument. And none of us want that, so we avoid it altogether. But if our intention is genuine loving concern it can make it easier to have conversations with people. People don't expect loving concern from Christians - they expect judgement and condemnation. That's why the most important part of 1 Peter 3:15 (with gentleness and respect) is the part that follows: so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander. People expect Christians to be confrontational and judgmental, but when we talk with them with gentleness and respect (with loving concern), they know their slander is uncalled for and will be ashamed of it. It's so key in any evangelism conversation. Great work Jeff.
Thank you for this comment. I get anxiety thinking about any confrontation at all. It’s motivated by my own feelings of inadequacy and fear… which are straight from the enemy.. I don’t need to be secure because the Holy Spirit is with me and motivation of loving concern is ultimately where I need to be centered.
@@hbenny5752 Hi HBenny. Having anxiety is natural, don't feel too badly about it. But let me offer a few thoughts. First, stop thinking of it as confrontation, rather, think of it as conversation. You probably have no problem talking with people about sports, cooking, travel. But we have a problem talking about faith. But it's just another topic of conversation. If you bring it up and they don't want to talk about it, not a problem. Move to the next topic. But, you did your job! You tried to have a conversation. Second, Jesus is either working or not working in people's lives and hearts, those whom he's calling. Remember, God draws people to himself. If you're talking with someone he is calling, they'll be receptive to talking with you. And don't be surprised at how many people will be willing to talk with you. On the other hand, if they're not receptive, get angry, or whatever, not a problem. Jesus may either not be calling them or maybe not yet. Either way, just go ahead and change the topic to something else. Again, you did your job! Third, taking a lesson from Jesus. When he was in front of Pilate he was strong enough in knowing who he was to say nothing. Then Pilate said to him, “Do you not hear how many things they testify against you?” But he gave him no answer, not even to a single charge, so that the governor was greatly amazed (Matthew 27:13-14). Be strong enough in your faith to be able to say nothing. Don't give into the human reflex of having to say something. If they're not interested or get angry, say nothing and change the subject. And, finally, it's not your job to judge them - that's the job of the Holy Spirit. Don't feel like you have to outwit them or point fingers at them or have all the answers. Your job is to initiate the conversation, sew seeds of scriptures into their minds and hearts modeling the character of Jesus, with love, kindness, gentleness and respect. Woman in white: woah, this guy knows a lot more than me, time to bail! It's sad seeing JW have no clue. They just think all the Bible is the same. I would disagree. We study the Bible constantly and it definitely is not all the same. It has very many different aspects, a book of astounding depth and value.
@@hereweare9096 the problem is not how frequent or diligently you are studying the Bible. The problem is with the "bible" itself. JW is using the New World translation, which is considered a heretical translation by almost all mainstream Christian groups. The members of New World Bible translation team are all from Watch Tower Society, none of them holds a degree or proper knowledge on Greek and Hebrew language. Referring to the identified members, evangelical minister Walter Ralston Martin said, "The New World Bible translation committee had no known translators with recognized degrees in Greek or Hebrew exegesis or translation...None of these men had any university education except Franz, who left school after two years, never completing even an undergraduate degree."

I don’t I use multiple Bibles via an app that has 30 plus translations as well as other resources/ Greek / Hebrew/Septuagint/polyglot/concordances. Also you may want to note: Based on his analysis of nine major English translations, Jason David BeDuhn, associate professor of religious studies, wrote: “The NW [New World Translation] emerges as the most accurate of the translations compared.” Although the general public and many Bible scholars assume that the differences in the New World Translation are the result of religious bias on the part of its translators, BeDuhn stated: “Most of the differences are due to the greater accuracy of the NW as a literal, conservative translation of the original expressions of the New Testament writers.”-Truth in Translation, pages 163, 165.

I refer to multiple Bibles in my studies also other resources via an app. I use to be a Catholic and am aware of differing belief systems. So not sure what you mean about studying other religions?

@aitnobetafaq no. Gods children are separate from the rest. Once you become born again, then you are either brother or sister. I dont see a mon believer as brother or sister, just a neighbor and another human being that should be treated as Jesus would treat them as is said and described in the true Gospel.

These are the people i think that can repent the day when they are standing before him. Its like an Eskimo who never heard of him, lives a good life and then dies never even knew of his existance. There is a BIG DIFFERENCE between making a prophecy and trying to interpret one that . Do you know that some of Jesus' disciples thought that the end was going to come in their day, so does that make THEM a false prophet ???
That makes them human. We all err and fall short. We see through a veil darkly but at our deaths, face to Face. Clearly. JWs or Christians for the most part are not bad people, but the Governing Body of WT men who are in this JW business are criminal and have accomplished massive amounts of damage. This can also be said about most religions where men set doctrine. Seek Jesus alone. Do not make a display of your works and acts.

Thank you for sharing this Jeff. Former JW here, God utilized your videos and sermons to get me out of the organization . What stuck with me and convicted me was when you once said on an apologia radio show that “a false Jesus can’t save you”. I’ve been saved and also started attending a reformed Baptist church in Oklahoma. I hope that God continues to use your ministry to bring JWs to Christ.

yeah as JW's we're kinda told not to really go back and forth with people, even a productive discussion like this is seen as some sort of plot by satan to deter you from the one true religion.
@@mistowasabi5443; But that's the point ... As it's not really a "productive discussion." But really just Jeff rehashing the now long stale arguments of Trinitarian apologetics. That many JWs today have long forgotten about or never really even run into any longer out in the field. Just like when I deal with arguments like this from ministries like Jeff and apologia. The material I use from the WTS or other publications by JWs is mostly 40-50 years old! And I have to almost always use the older '84 edition of the NWT (large print reference Bible). For its technical appendices and footnotes.
I am meeting a JW for coffee on Friday, I met him a few weeks ago, and he is the one that brought up meeting after talking and sharing with him and his buddy, so pray for me that I can plant some seeds that lead him to the real Jesus.
I done the same thing recently and spent 2 hours going over scriptures in regards to the diety of Jesus. Make sure your the one that opens with prayer, bind any serpent/unclean spirits and ask for discernment!

@@Elemented sometimes you don't seem like you are having any impact, especially when they try to control the conversation, but you never know how the Holy Spirit will use what you say to help them see the light. The JW brought his brother and he was the quiet one and seemed to listen more to what I was trying to tell them, they like to hammer in what they are indoctrinated to say/teach. I tried to express to them that God, Our LORD is so much bigger than a name, because they like to say you need to call Him Jehovah..also they like to hammer in the "kingdom" I like to express that I tend to focus more on forgiveness in my prayers, ask God to forgive me, and that the blood Jesus shed on the cross was more important than a concerning one self with the kingdom of God, because I I'm only a wretched sinner needing the saving work of Christ on the cross. They agreed to meet again, so that is good. We'll see how the Spirit leads next time. Oh, and btw I closed with a prayer, they didn't want me to, but I bowed my head and said a prayer anyway..
When I was a JW, I always ran from Christians who knew their Bible lol. We were looking for people who didn't know their Bible. What woke me up to the truth about Jesus was reading a real translation of the Bible, and seeing all the places the NWT changed the deity of Jesus. Thank you for giving these women a good witness. I hope they think about what you said.
Thank you for what you do, pastor! And may the Lord bring those ladies to the truth of Christ! I grew up as a Jehovah’s Witness and one common theme we were always taught was that “regular Christendom” didn’t know the first thing about the Bible. So when we would go door to door and run into someone like yourself, we almost didn’t know what to say and you can sense that here in the video with those ladies. And at the end, probably because they knew what you said made more sense than their argument, the one lady felt the need to chalk what you said up as your “thoughts and feelings”. Like no lady, this gentleman clearly knows the Bible way better than you. Anyway, my point being that it was when I ran into someone like yourself going door to door many years ago, that was the beginning of the end for me in that faith. Praise the Lord that I know the true Christ today, the One who saves! 🙏🏽
I was raised as a jw as well. I was a regular pioneer with my wife for 2 years and also was a ministerial servant for 3 years. I started to wake up from the organization when scriptures wouldn’t add up as I would prepare my public talks. Then I found Apologia and I was so surprised to see Christian’s that actually knew the Bible since like you mentioned we were taught as jws that people didn’t know anything about the Bible. I’m so glad to hear of people leaving that false religion and finding Christ!

The sheer innocence of these ladies who think they come to witness and to have the tables turned by Pastor Jeff. I wish I had this good pastor's faith, conviction, courage, and love for the lost and misled.

Some people are just nervous of confrontation or being approached by strangers. I’d imagine a lot of women would feel nervous if a guy just random walked up to them on the street. Not saying they’re in the right. She just seems nervous for other reasons
@@BK-rl5lw No, it doesn't stand. What do you think JWs do? They literally confront and try to convert people on the spot. I think this woman is genuinely having her worldview shaken and that the Holy Spirit is taking effect in her. I pray that this woman looks deeper, prays about it and seeks the truth of the Gospel of Christ. There is only one way to salvation and that IS through Christ.
This is super super good for an approach towards Mormons and JWs. My church did a series on twisted scripture and went through the discrepancies in what they believe and the fact that they are flat out cults that twist truth with lies - these people need to be saved and shown the truth. Not avoided when they come to our doors!
Thank you for that. I pray that those ladies really heard your words. From observation, the lady that never spoke, became more nervous as the conversation continues. I mention this bc I've had numerous conversations over the years about how words have been added, altered & removed from the Bible, and that is the same reaction of many I've spoken with when they realize the truth of it. I hear and see people ask “why do they post these videos? To embarrass people?” I appreciate these videos because they help brothers and sisters in their conversations with people on the street and especially it puts a face on those who we can pray for.
The ladies were quite rude at the end. You could tell they were very uncomfortable being unable to answer Pastor Jeff and didn’t want to engage with him. They looked disinterested and didn’t want to engage, which is kind of ironic. They just want to talk to people who don’t know anything and won’t challenge them. 💔

My brother loves when Jehovahs witnesses show up. He used to have them over for a brunch once a week and he would do everything he could to try to show them the truth.

He talked to two JWs that didn't hade all information. Watchtower never claimed to be prophets. If it's cloudy outside I can't predict that it's probably gonna rain tomorrow. Does that make me a prophet?. No. It's just my opinion considering it's cloudy. A prophet was a person directly send by God and he couldn't be wrong. But even a prophet could in ways be wrong. Nahum gave predictions about destruction of Nineveh. People repented and he's prophecy didn't come true cause situation hade change.

I used to be a Jehovah’s Witness and before I was baptized they required door to door service to show faith, the lady in red was probably in this situation. I remember how nervous I was my first couple of months only knowing certain scripture. I was also very young at the time 16.
All we have is Christ, that’s the only reason we can be in a right standing relationship with God. Without the right Jesus, there is no way to have peace with God. Jesus is the son of God, he is the savior. That one got me. Wow, so true.
As a former JW I can safely assume she didn't do any "research." She read a watchtower that told her that God's name is Jehovah and Jehovah's witnesses are the only ones that use his "name". Which isn't true by the way. And besides Jesus didn't say that his true followers would be known by their love and those who do the will of his father. Nothing in scripture says those who use God's name as some kind of trademark will give them salvation. In that scripture of Isaiah 43:10 Jehovah is talking to the Isrealites who were defined as God's people didn't get salvation because they know his name. They needed to look to the promises of the Christ as the source of their salvation. That is still the only way for our salvation today. P.S love how they needed to get Jordan home. If you were interested in their message they would have never had interrupted. They are liars and cowards. They are afraid to actually have a meaningful conversation and lovingly debate different views.
Many Jews, use God's name...look up Dr Nehemia Gordon , he's a Hebrew Bible scholar...he has no hesitation to use the divine name, Jehovah, although he uses the Hebrew name, Yehovah. In fact, his work takes him all around the world, scrutinising the manuscripts....some even from the Vatican ...including new testament manuscripts in Hebrew, which no one can read, because no one at the Vatican can speak Hebrew. He's not found one manuscript in support of Yahweh; however, him and his volunteers now have to date, over 1000 manuscripts which have the divine name with the full vowels, which he is now proclaiming is ' Yehovah' . The Alepo Codex ( housed in the Israel museum, Jersalem ) is the oldest Bible, although incomplete, Nehemia's scrutinised it, and found the divine name is in there with the full set of vowels ! Look Nehemia Gordon up on RUclips and God's name. Do a Google image research ...type in old coins and artifacts for the name of Jehovah, also.

Jeff was the man who originally inspired me to witness to the LDS members. God was the original cause, but he helped ignite something in me, when it comes to cults using the name of our God and savior; to go out and to also be ready. I've spent the last couple years soaking up knowledge like a sponge when it comes to Mormonism. Now I must venture out into the theology of J.W and get sharpened up for when I encounter them as well. It makes me cringe bc I was once the same. I honestly thought that nobody else out there knew the name Jehovah was in the Bible and the fact that I knew, meant I was a part of some special elite group of people that had that knowledge. In reality, when I became a JW, I had 0 biblical knowledge beforehand and so I totally believed that they had something unique and special. It was quite shocking to me when I realized that many other Christian’s all around the world understood Gods name and had even more insight that we did. I was so young, naive and gullible 🥴
Wow, not me ... When I was a Baptist in Christendom for over 20 years (and allowed to do just about everything the Bible said not to). Was when I had absolutely zero knowledge of God's Name or anything else in scriptures. And it wasn't until I became one of JWs that I truly began to see how dark and appallingly ignorant the churches of Christendom and the World really are.

There is not going to be someone with you every step of the way to slap you on the wrist when you sin. That’s why we have discernment from the Holy Spirit. It’s on you for continuing to sin without repentance. As for the knowledge that you didn’t receive, any good pastor/minister/preacher should be telling his congregation that they should never stop reading scripture. How can we tell others about what we know if we aren’t knowledgeable in it. Everything we need to know is in the Bible and we should be reading it as much as we possibly can.

The vast majority of scholars acknowledge that Jehovah is the acceptable translation of the name of God from Hebrew into English . It's intellectually dishonest to imply otherwise .
The lady in the hat was so disturbed/figgity hearing him speak and share scripture..reminded me of scenes in exorcism videos when the possessed cant handle the prayers/words of scripture.. she was doing so much tossing and turning, hand tapping, hat removal, hair adjustments..
You can tell they heard you, but weren’t listening. They were kindly dismissive of the corrections you suggested. But God bless you for delivering this truth in love! Thanks so much for what you are doing, thank you for being prepared to discuss such important points of scripture with JWs as vast majority of Christians are unwilling to give them the time of day and even advise against talking with them for fear of being confused by their twisted doctrine. I used to be one of JWs for about 10 years, but disassociated (quit) formally in 2011. The deity of Christ was the cornerstone of me becoming a Christian. It is only by understanding his nature as fully human and God that we can completely trust in Him for our salvation. God bless you!
Jesus didn't say to the Samaritan woman, that the true worshippers would be worshipping him...the Son of God. Or direct her attention to the year 325AD, when the tri(3)nity was first formulated at the Council of Niacea. However, a christian listens to the voice of Jesus and not to strangers. Jesus words found at : John 2: 23, 24: " Nevertheless, the hour is coming, and it is now, when the true worshippers will worship *the* *Father* with spirit and truth, for indeed, *the* *Father* is looking for ones like these to worship him. God is a Spirit, and those worshipping him must worship with spirit and truth. Apostle Paul clearly taught one person 'alone' is God: Actually to us there is One God the * Father* ......" No he didn't say that the Son, or holy spirit is God...only *the* * Father* is the One God, whom Jesus called : " the *only* true God , at John 17: 3. Praise be to the God and Father of our lord Jesus Christ. ( 2 Corinthians 1: 3 )

For example Jesus' words to the Samaritan woman at Jacob's well. Jesus said to her : " Nevertheless, the hour is coming, and it is now, when the true worshippers will worship the *Father* with spirit and truth, for indeed, the *Father* is looking for ones like these to *worship* *him*. God is a Spirit, and those worshipping *him* must worship with spirit and truth.” ( John 4: 22, 23 ) Jesus didn't direct us to worship him, or multi-persons. He didn't direct us to 325AD when the trinity was formulated. He spoke in prayer to his own God , ( who was in heaven ) and called him the *only* true God. ( John 17: 3 )

Great job, Jeff! Boy they sure do love to deflect instead of answering questions, don't they? They can't handle that question about believing in one god, but then also believing Jesus is another god. So, they have to jump somewhere else instead of even thinking about it. And when they don't want to talk anymore, that's their classic "we're done!" response when they start telling you how they're "happy you have your beliefs," and also are sure to throw the word "appreciate" in there somewhere. If you have seen any of the videos on bridget fromAZ, you've heard that many times there too. She calls Kingdom Halls all over the US to witness to them.
I love how she claims to have read the Catholic Encyclopedia which is not a readily available source and the WT takes full advantage to take passages out of context to bolster their claims and the witnesses don’t bother to look at what any of the sources actually say. Just because beliefs share the same views of the trinity doesn’t mean they believe the same things.
The difficulty with trying to reach JW is that they aren't searching for the truth through Christ via His word, they are trying to propagate THEIR interpretation of who Jesus is, and thus are not open to hearing the truth from actual scripture. Still, always worth trying, never know whose heart is open.
Bible need no interpretation. All scriptures were written the way easy to understand. Just I think no religion read bible as much as jw do. If you try to read bible regularly you will come to the same result like them.

If you want answers then I've found gotquestions.com to be a good source that references the bible for its explanations. I know this is a confronting prospect for you because this will change everything you know and your life, social environment, maybe even your family dynamics. There are many churches that will welcome you if you decide to follow Christ. But in the end knowing who Jesus really is, repenting and accepting His salvation and deciding to follow Him, is worth more than all the world. So see these examples, and know that Jesus is God. I'm really praying that you realise who He is, and we'll have a catch up in heaven one day. 😁
Hopefully she reads John chapter 1 in a different version of the Bible because New World says “and the Word was ‘a’ God”. The article ‘a’ again changes the meaning of God’s Truth.

I even got saved born again / Spirit filled / Jesus in my heart, holding The Bible book. Days after I was telling a fellow brother in Christ !!! When he took & open Bible book ta mark up stamping & put a big X over Jesus picture, called it a graven image. Thankfully that's a very small part of my first 3 weeks in Christ !!! Good that nowadays I got almost 30 years experience in Christ !!!
Once they realised they couldn't convert you they lost interest. So frustrating to see them change and their training kick in where they just want to exit the conversation. Many often even say the same things, scripted, time and time again. Good effort though brother.

@celticmarmite6048 well the disciples certainly worshipped Jesus. See Matthew 14:33; 28:9, 17; John 9:38, to name a few. Are you not willing to honour the Son even as you honour the Father? If not you actually dishonour the Father according to John 5:23.
I think the best avenue to approach a JW is to ask what Jeff asked. That lady NEVER even mentioned the redemptive WORK of Jesus for her sins. Her reply was that of what she best "felt" was good "for her". The only time she mentioned Jesus was when she quoted Jesus with words HE really didn't say. Something about Jesus saying to "be aware of your spiritual needs". Huh? What chapter and verse is that? JWs don't have personal testimonies about how Jesus saved them. They don't. That's because they believe Jesus only made a way for them to earn their own salvation. That's it.

I’m a former JW, and I can assure you anytime they meet somebody who has a grasp on scripture, they get very nervous because it exposes how much they don’t know. They have an arsenal of a few cherry picked scriptures, beyond that, they’re lost. If a topic comes up that is beyond their comprehension, they’ll say they’ll do research and get back to you on it. 😒

@enkicapricorn The trinity is: 1. There is one God. 2. There are three persons in the Godhead, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. 3. Each person is God. The Father is God. Jesus Christ is God. The Holy Spirit is God. "Baptizing them in the name (singular) of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost." There is subordination in the trinity. Just like at work, you have a boss, but your boss is not superior to you. You just have different roles.

JW's never claimed to make a prophecy, they WERE NOT making a prophecy, but rather trying to interpret a prophecy that was already there in God's word the Bible ! So, there is a HUGE difference between MAKING A PROPHECY, and trying to interpret a prophecy ! So to be honest with you, your argument becomes "null & void" ! Let me illustrate. A few years back in 1999 there were a few people from various churches who said the end would come in 1999 in fulfillment of Jesus' PROPHECY at Matt chapter 24-25 Question, were these people actually making a prophecy or were they trying to interpret Jesus' prophecy of Matt chp 25-25 ??? Do you get the point ! So the way you assert that the JW's were making a prophecy and were acting as God's prophet and therefore makes them a false prophet are very misleading and bordering on dishonesty ! Final thought, there is a BIG DIFFERENCE between making a prophecy and trying to interpret one that . Do you know that some of Jesus' disciples thought that the end was going to come in their day, so does that make THEM a false prophet ???

I had a Jehovahs witness over on Saturday. Because of this ministry, i was able to share the true Christ with them and call then to repent. Thank you for your faithfulness brother.
What exactly do they to repent? Even if they are wrong they are doing something Christian are supposed to do by preaching the Gospel to others but because you don't you feel envy like Cain his brother killed Abel as he was envious of his sacrifice.

The MOST IMPORTANT THING I took from this conversation is that Jeff's attitude was one of "loving concern". He said it twice. In all the back-and-forth, all the facts and scriptures, he wasn't trying to match wits with them or win an argument or prove them wrong. His intention and motivation was one of loving concern. It's such a subtle point, but so critical in effective evangelism.
We can avoid talking with people because we think we won't have the right answers, or the person will outsmart us, or we might lose the argument. And none of us want that, so we avoid it altogether. But if our intention is genuine loving concern it can make it easier to have conversations with people. People don't expect loving concern from Christians - they expect judgement and condemnation. That's why the most important part of 1 Peter 3:15 (with gentleness and respect) is the part that follows: so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander. People expect Christians to be confrontational and judgmental, but when we talk with them with gentleness and respect (with loving concern), they know their slander is uncalled for and will be ashamed of it. It's so key in any evangelism conversation. Great work Jeff.

Thank you for this comment. I get anxiety thinking about any confrontation at all. It’s motivated by my own feelings of inadequacy and fear… which are straight from the enemy.. I don’t need to be secure because the Holy Spirit is with me and motivation of loving concern is ultimately where I need to be centered.
@@hbenny5752 Hi HBenny. Having anxiety is natural, don't feel too badly about it. But let me offer a few thoughts. First, stop thinking of it as confrontation, rather, think of it as conversation. You probably have no problem talking with people about sports, cooking, travel. But we have a problem talking about faith. But it's just another topic of conversation. If you bring it up and they don't want to talk about it, not a problem. Move to the next topic. But, you did your job! You tried to have a conversation.
Second, Jesus is either working or not working in people's lives and hearts, those whom he's calling. Remember, God draws people to himself. If you're talking with someone he is calling, they'll be receptive to talking with you. And don't be surprised at how many people will be willing to talk with you. On the other hand, if they're not receptive, get angry, or whatever, not a problem. Jesus may either not be calling them or maybe not yet. Either way, just go ahead and change the topic to something else. Again, you did your job!
Third, taking a lesson from Jesus. When he was in front of Pilate he was strong enough in knowing who he was to say nothing. Then Pilate said to him, “Do you not hear how many things they testify against you?” But he gave him no answer, not even to a single charge, so that the governor was greatly amazed (Matthew 27:13-14). Be strong enough in your faith to be able to say nothing. Don't give into the human reflex of having to say something. If they're not interested or get angry, say nothing and change the subject.
And, finally, it's not your job to judge them - that's the job of the Holy Spirit. Don't feel like you have to outwit them or point fingers at them or have all the answers. Your job is to initiate the conversation, sew seeds of scriptures into their minds and hearts modeling the character of Jesus, with love, kindness, gentleness and respect. Then let the Holy Spirit do his work.

Thank you for sharing this Jeff. Former JW here, God utilized your videos and sermons to get me out of the organization . What stuck with me and convicted me was when you once said on an apologia radio show that “a false Jesus can’t save you”. I’ve been saved and also started attending a reformed Baptist church in Oklahoma. I hope that God continues to use your ministry to bring JWs to Christ.

@@Elemented sometimes you don't seem like you are having any impact, especially when they try to control the conversation, but you never know how the Holy Spirit will use what you say to help them see the light. The JW brought his brother and he was the quiet one and seemed to listen more to what I was trying to tell them, they like to hammer in what they are indoctrinated to say/teach. I tried to express to them that God, Our LORD is so much bigger than a name, because they like to say you need to call Him Jehovah..also they like to hammer in the "kingdom" I like to express that I tend to focus more on forgiveness in my prayers, ask God to forgive me, and that the blood Jesus shed on the cross was more important than a concerning one self with the kingdom of God, because I I'm only a wretched sinner needing the saving work of Christ on the cross. They agreed to meet again, so that is good. We'll see how the Spirit leads next time. Oh, and btw I closed with a prayer, they didn't want me to, but I bowed my head and said a prayer anyway..
When I was a JW, I always ran from Christians who knew their Bible lol. We were looking for people who didn't know their Bible. What woke me up to the truth about Jesus was reading a real translation of the Bible, and seeing all the places the NWT changed the deity of Jesus. Thank you for giving these women a good witness. I hope they think about what you said.

Thank you for what you do, pastor! And may the Lord bring those ladies to the truth of Christ! I grew up as a Jehovah’s Witness and one common theme we were always taught was that “regular Christendom” didn’t know the first thing about the Bible. So when we would go door to door and run into someone like yourself, we almost didn’t know what to say and you can sense that here in the video with those ladies. And at the end, probably because they knew what you said made more sense than their argument, the one lady felt the need to chalk what you said up as your “thoughts and feelings”. Like no lady, this gentleman clearly knows the Bible way better than you. Anyway, my point being that it was when I ran into someone like yourself going door to door many years ago, that was the beginning of the end for me in that faith. Praise the Lord that I know the true Christ today, the One who saves! 🙏🏽
I was raised as a jw as well. I was a regular pioneer with my wife for 2 years and also was a ministerial servant for 3 years. I started to wake up from the organization when scriptures wouldn’t add up as I would prepare my public talks. Then I found Apologia and I was so surprised to see Christian’s that actually knew the Bible since like you mentioned we were taught as jws that people didn’t know anything about the Bible.

This is super super good for an approach towards Mormons and JWs. My church did a series on twisted scripture and went through the discrepancies in what they believe and the fact that they are flat out cults that twist truth with lies - these people need to be saved and shown the truth. Not avoided when they come to our doors!

I love these interactions. Seeing a lie of a false gospel being confronted with the truth; darkness overwhelmed by the Light. He talked to two JWs that didn't hade all information. Watchtower never claimed to be prophets. If it's cloudy outside I can't predict that it's probably gonna rain tomorrow. Does that make me a prophet?. No. It's just my opinion considering it's cloudy. A prophet was a person directly send by God and he couldn't be wrong. But even a prophet could in ways be wrong. Nahum gave predictions about destruction of Nineveh. People repented and he's prophecy didn't come true cause situation hade change.

Great proof texts. Unfortunately, for you, there's an entire text known as the Bible which puts those particular passages into context. The context of those passages reveals that Jesus is equal with the Father, has always existed with the Father, is not a created being, and shares in the same being as the Father.

I used to be a Jehovah’s Witness and before I was baptized they required door to door service to show faith, the lady in red was probably in this situation. I remember how nervous I was my first couple of months only knowing certain scripture. I was also very young at the time 16.

As a former JW I can safely assume she didn't do any "research." She read a watchtower that told her that God's name is Jehovah and Jehovah's witnesses are the only ones that use his "name". Which isn't true by the way. And besides Jesus didn't say that his true followers would be known by their love and those who do the will of his father. Nothing in scripture says those who use God's name as some kind of trademark will give them salvation. In that scripture of Isaiah 43:10 Jehovah is talking to the Isrealites who were defined as God's people didn't get salvation because they know his name. They needed to look to the promises of the Christ as the source of their salvation. That is still the only way for our salvation today.

Many Jews, use God's name...look up Dr Nehemia Gordon , he's a Hebrew Bible scholar...he has no hesitation to use the divine name, Jehovah, although he uses the Hebrew name, Yehovah.
In fact, his work takes him all around the world, scrutinising the manuscripts....some even from the Vatican ...including new testament manuscripts in Hebrew, which no one can read, because no one at the Vatican can speak Hebrew.
He's not found one manuscript in support of Yahweh; however, him and his volunteers now have to date, over 1000 manuscripts which have the divine name with the full vowels, which he is now proclaiming is ' Yehovah' .
The Alepo Codex ( housed in the Israel museum, Jersalem ) is the oldest Bible, although incomplete, Nehemia's scrutinised it, and found the divine name is in there with the full set of vowels !

The work that Jeff does is so incredible ! I mean it really is, I so appreciate everything he does! The guy knows the Bible maybe better then anyone I’ve been around and I’ve been around a lot of people in my life; many great servants of god. Jeff was the man who originally inspired me to witness to the LDS members. God was the original cause, but he helped ignite something in me, when it comes to cults using the name of our God and savior; to go out and to also be ready.
I've spent the last couple years soaking up knowledge like a sponge when it comes to Mormonism. Now I must venture out into the theology of J.W and get sharpened up for when I encounter them as well.

It makes me cringe bc I was once the same. I honestly thought that nobody else out there knew the name Jehovah was in the Bible and the fact that I knew, meant I was a part of some special elite group of people that had that knowledge. In reality, when I became a JW, I had 0 biblical knowledge beforehand and so I totally believed that they had something unique and special. It was quite shocking to me when I realized that many other Christian’s all around the world understood Gods name and had even more insight that we did. I was so young, naive and gullible 🥴

When I was a Baptist in Christendom for over 20 years (and allowed to do just about everything the Bible said not to). Was when I had absolutely zero knowledge of God's Name or anything else in scriptures.

There is not going to be someone with you every step of the way to slap you on the wrist when you sin. That’s why we have discernment from the Holy Spirit. It’s on you for continuing to sin without repentance.
As for the knowledge that you didn’t receive, any good pastor/minister/preacher should be telling his congregation that they should never stop reading scripture. How can we tell others about what we know if we aren’t knowledgeable in it. Everything we need to know is in the Bible and we should be reading it as much as we possibly can.

Thanks so much for what you are doing, thank you for being prepared to discuss such important points of scripture with JWs as vast majority of Christians are unwilling to give them the time of day and even advise against talking with them for fear of being confused by their twisted doctrine.
I used to be one of JWs for about 10 years, but disassociated (quit) formally in 2011.
The deity of Christ was the cornerstone of me becoming a Christian. It is only by understanding his nature as fully human and God that we can completely trust in Him for our salvation.

Jesus didn't say to the Samaritan woman, that the true worshippers would be worshipping him...the Son of God. Or direct her attention to the year 325AD, when the tri(3)nity was first formulated at the Council of Niacea.

Great job, Jeff! Boy they sure do love to deflect instead of answering questions, don't they? They can't handle that question about believing in one god, but then also believing Jesus is another god. So, they have to jump somewhere else instead of even thinking about it. And when they don't want to talk anymore, that's their classic "we're done!" response when they start telling you how they're "happy you have your beliefs," and also are sure to throw the word "appreciate" in there somewhere. If you have seen any of the videos on bridget fromAZ, you've heard that many times there too. She calls Kingdom Halls all over the US to witness to them.
I love how she claims to have read the Catholic Encyclopedia which is not a readily available source and the WT takes full advantage to take passages out of context to bolster their claims and the witnesses don’t bother to look at what any of the sources actually say. Just because beliefs share the same views of the trinity doesn’t mean they believe the same things.

The difficulty with trying to reach JW is that they aren't searching for the truth through Christ via His word, they are trying to propagate THEIR interpretation of who Jesus is, and thus are not open to hearing the truth from actual scripture. Still, always worth trying, never know whose heart is open.
Bible need no interpretation. All scriptures were written the way easy to understand. Just I think no religion read bible as much as jw do. If you try to read bible regularly you will come to the same result like them.

If you want answers then I've found gotquestions.com to be a good source that references the bible for its explanations. I know this is a confronting prospect for you because this will change everything you know and your life, social environment, maybe even your family dynamics. There are many churches that will welcome you if you decide to follow Christ. But in the end knowing who Jesus really is, repenting and accepting His salvation and deciding to follow Him, is worth more than all the world. So see these examples, and know that Jesus is God. I'm really praying that you realise who He is, and we'll have a catch up in heaven one day. 😁
Hopefully she reads John chapter 1 in a different version of the Bible because New World says “and the Word was ‘a’ God”. The article ‘a’ again changes the meaning of God’s Truth.

I think the best avenue to approach a JW is to ask what Jeff asked. That lady NEVER even mentioned the redemptive WORK of Jesus for her sins. Her reply was that of what she best "felt" was good "for her". The only time she mentioned Jesus was when she quoted Jesus with words HE really didn't say. Something about Jesus saying to "be aware of your spiritual needs". Huh? What chapter and verse is that?
JWs don't have personal testimonies about how Jesus saved them. They don't. That's because they believe Jesus only made a way for them to earn their own salvation. That's it.

I’m a former JW, and I can assure you anytime they meet somebody who has a grasp on scripture, they get very nervous because it exposes how much they don’t know. They have an arsenal of a few cherry picked scriptures, beyond that, they’re lost. If a topic comes up that is beyond their comprehension, they’ll say they’ll do research and get back to you on it. 😒

However as a pastor man I do feel that you misrepresent what JW's believed back in the day and are twisting things out of context in a bit of a
dishonest attempt to discredit JW;s Allow me to explain !
You quote Deu 18 and then in your video you say " that the guys like Rutherford and Russell, that there were so many failed prophecies, and that you know
if they are a true prophet if their prophecies come true " ONE THING you really do need to keep in mind is this ! JW's never claimed to make a prophecy,
they WERE NOT making a prophecy, but rather trying to interpret a prophecy that was already there in God's word the Bible ! So, there is a HUGE difference
between MAKING A PROPHECY, and trying to interpret a prophecy ! So to be honest with you, your argument becomes "null & void" !
Let me illustrate. A few years back in 1999 there were a few people from various churches who said the end would come in 1999 in fulfillment of Jesus'
PROPHECY at Matt chapter 24-25 Question, were these people actually making a prophecy or were they trying to interpret Jesus' prophecy of Matt chp 25-25 ???
Do you get the point ! So the way you assert that the JW's were making a prophecy and were acting as God's prophet and therefore makes them a false prophet are very misleading and bordering on dishonesty !
Final thought, there is a BIG DIFFERENCE between making a prophecy and trying to interpret one that . Do you know that some of Jesus' disciples thought that the end was going to come in their day, so does that make THEM a false prophet ???
I am only trying to help you get out of false worship and think for yourself my friend before it is too late..... And even IF Jesus died on a stake what makes you think that it would be OK with God to take the execution instrument and put it up on the walls at your places of worship and around your neck, what makes YOU think God is OK with that, what makes you think for ONE MOMENT that rubbing this into God nose on a daily basis is OK with him ? Please present your truth !
