A rationalist viewpoint on this matter. I am a moderate independent voter and a retired U.S. Army Master Sergeant (1972-1993) who voted for Trump. When it comes to Trump’s illegal immigrant policy I am in COMPLETE agreement with him. For too many years now Mexico has had an unusual and corrosive amount of influence in the United States compared to other countries, thanks largely to the liberal left. I knew things were heading in the wrong direction in this country when we started to widely hype and celebrate Cinco de Mayo of all things a few years back. This is AMERICA, not Mexico! For me however the final straw that broke the camel’s back was in California during the Trump 2016 campaign when a large number of illegals openly marched and tried to prevent Trump from campaigning there and were flying Mexican flags and advocating the return of our territory back to Mexico. All this occurred I might add with the tacit approval of the far left liberal California government who did nothing to stop it instead of arresting these illegals as they should have done. How dare these illegals flout our laws and interfere with our election process in this way! There are so many illegals here now that they are beginning to affect our way of life in communities, or even taking them over, and this must stop. As an example in my home state of Arkansas communities like Green Forest have been literally taken over by these illegal aliens to the point you almost think you are in Mexico when visiting that small city. As for calling illegals “undocumented workers” my answer is undocumented my ass! That misleading politically correct term makes it sound like those folks simply forgot to bring their paperwork with them when they crossed the border and broke our immigration laws by deliberately and intentionally entering this country illegally. I remember when we called them what they really are: "ILLEGAL ALIENS". I am as compassionate as the next guy and feel for them but enough is enough and it’s time to secure our borders and enforce our laws as many other countries do - including Mexico (when their officials aren't taking bribes to look the other way that is). It is also time to kick out of this country each and EVERY one of these illegals regardless of how much effort it might take. We should also change the law to prevent people who are illegally here from obtaining citizenship for their children born here, sometimes referred to as “anchor babies”. If they are here illegally then ANY children that are born to them while they are here should NOT be allowed to have citizenship, and this law change should be made retroactive. We are just rewarding criminal behavior by extending citizenship to their children. We need to build that wall and patrol it well with military units in military vehicles that contain at least one border patrol agent and put a stop once and for all to mass invasion by illegal aliens and criminals dumped on us from countries to the south.

Cinco de mayo hahaha. We Mexicans don't even celebrate that. Cinco de mayo is a victory of the Mexican Army over the French Army.when I first came to the USA I heard one American lady saying happy cinco de mayo and I thought it was pretty funny.
