This was really helpful, thankyou so much!
I wanted to add some clarification for those who need it, as it took me a bit to connect the dots in my head:
The collider is for the part that moves the object, and the physbone is for the object that's going to move
In the context of an accessory on the body, for example a necklace, you'll want to add the collider of the relevant body part to the physbone of the accessory, so it doesn't just dangle down through the body
In short:
Collider = Mover
Physbone = Thing that moves
Thank you so much! This helped tremendously!
OMMMGG YESS I WAS WAITING FOR YOU TO POST A PHYSBONE TUTORIAL THANK YOU !!💕
Omg I was scrolling through vrchat tutorials and I saw your channel and recognized the name & 44th art, didn't even know u made RUclips videos LMAO
!! Omg yes haha!! This is where I am outside the art community
life saver , just what i needed .. thank u
great breakdown. I have a better understanding now.
Hiiii!!! I have a big request about how to make two color eyes , probably this need to be on blender , I didn’t found any video about that, I hope you could make some blender tutorials for those visual learners and thank you for your effort making this tutorials 💕
It depends on the head and the texture, sometimes you can get away with editing the texture, other times you need to make two seperate materials in blender.
I find the texture on my avatar's head and open it from the file location, then i edit it in something like 3d paint. after i save, it works
@@dwuckiesvr thank you!! I will try it 🙏
@@hybridflowers5114 you mean in substance painter?? I don’t have this program but thank you for the tip 😲🙏
@@cherrygirl8204 Anything you can edit pictures in will work tbh and np
congrats with the 1k subz🎉🎉🎉
(first to say it :p)
!! Thank you so much
Do the colliders stop things from going through the body when you walk like hair and clothes??
Yes they do, if you apply the colliders to the bones!
I have a question. I had dynamic bone colliders on my avatar, but when I converted it to physbones, normal dynamic bones changed, but the colliders were just removed and not replaced. Do you know what my issue might be?
Never mind, all I had to do was watch a bit more of the video, sorry!
Hey so I found you through your tattoo vid. I was wondering if you knew how to add scars and or birth marks on to an avatar?
Take your image into a photo editing software and add them!
could you make a tutorial on how to use a skin matcap for the body and face and how to get shine for the lips and nose?
I havent watched much into the video (im bookmarking it to watch after work) but how do you add physbones for a pc AND quest avatar? and how do you. upload an avatar for pc AND quest?
i have a question, would u maybe know how to fix a prefab error and an imageUrl error in Unity?
heyy can u make a video on how to convert db to physbones on an avatar youre making?
How do I remove individual physbones? My avatar has too many for quest
I may make a small short on how to do this! But all you will do is find the physbone you want to remove, click the three dots in the upper right hand corner of the physbone component and then press "remove component"
Could have been shorter but thank you very much for this explanation
:) my videos are meant for learners who learn with no details left out such as myself. I prefer to put effort into what I teach rather than cutting it short and leaving out important points.
@@dwuckiesvr Personally, I skipped to 1:44 past the intro. I think this is great content and I mean this only as constructive criticism ! Your video helped me :)
adding hand colliders is not needed. if you look under your avatar descriptor there's a list of colliders that are automatically added
I only added hand colliders to explain the most basic aspects :) like I explain in the video this process works for ALL colliders.

i dont care about adding them, i just want to remove them
