The sister that became the new queen... the fact they didn't even need to fight the boss if the heroes left him alone with the girl... These people are suppose to be intelligent. - Gon is now cut from the series guys. Because he has no powers, they cut him. Ya know, the original protagonist that started everything. Exactly. The lighter beginning gives the contrast and impact value on when it starts to get darker. The beginning is so sweet and innocent and that's where you just get to know the characters and the world.
+Edowado Erurikku This really needs to happen! I feel like he really avoided talking about this in to much depth which is fully understandable because it could have really scared new watchers
Same, a lot of these villains are so amazing and the friendship between gon and killua, the king, the king and komugi. But I guess his review would be 2 hours long if he mentioned all this.
The current arc has so much potential to be one of the best things I've ever seen. However, my deepest fear is that by the time S2 gets animated, I may no longer be existent in this world.
I agree... and I'm only 17. Forget the manga's progress, we're talking about Studio Madhouse here, mother of all "We'll see about a season 2 but may never give it to you".
I agree with most of your points, except when you said it's hard to get into. For me before I had seen Hunter X Hunter I had only watched your typical shonens like Naruto, One piece, Fairy tail etc. When I came across Hunter X Hunter it was so refreshing to see something different. I was immediately drawn in by the characters, plot, and world. And it just keeps getting better. It's easily my all time favorite series, and if you're a fan of anime I would say it's a must watch. It will change your perspective on the genre entirely. For me it sets the bar for anime extremely high, because it's a masterpiece.
+Anton Olofsson After watching HXH, all other anime will look bad and not as good, by that logic you should watch FT first, but you should just watch HXH.
It's canon. To quote another user (Nicolas Brodeur) over at Mangafox: "It's canon, in an interview with togashi and Ishida (just type ishida togashi interview on google) togashi recognized his work and if he had to write something about Hisoka, it would be what happened to hisoka to lay on the road where the circus troupe find him at the beginning." Link to the translated interview: chiggix.tumblr.com/post/145336753292/%E5%86%A8%E6%A8%AB%E7%BE%A9%E5%8D%9A-%E7%9F%B3%E7%94%B0%E3%82%B9%E3%82%A4-%E7%89%B9%E5%88%A5%E5%AF%BE%E8%AB%87-%E5%B0%91%E5%B9%B4%E3%82%B8%E3%83%A3%E3%83%B3%E3%83%97 So yeah, if Togashi says that if he draws an origin of Hisoka by himself, he will connect it to this Oneshot then the Oneshot is canon.
Hunter x Hunte 2011 is one of the greatest fictional thing I have ever experienced. The episode number 135 (THAT episode) is the saddest thing ever. I actually cried for 25 minutes non stop after it. Nothing will ever beat the sadness and beauty of that episode in all media.
I'm not trying to hate on HxH, but I'd say it's given too much credit. Everywhere you look it has insanely high ratings and I think it's just a little bit too overrated. I can't really see how you think it isn't given enough credit.
+Airborne Cthulhu That's the point. Have you even seen it? It has a high rating but there is always over anime's with higher ratings. Its at least on par with the highest rated anime.
I'm pretty sure he meant it in the way of it's not popular enough. It's way better than other shonens out there, and I'm with that opinion. Literally, HxH was in the very las spot of my internal shonen list I made to watch based on popularity, I had almost no reason to watch it for what I read online, and I went through Naruto, One Piece, Bleach, an Fairy Tail, and though I liked them, I find HxH way superior, and that's why I'd say it has not enough credit. Though for the high ratings it has on a lot of websites is due to the fact that the people who actually watched realized how good it was. I'm pretty sure if you see number of people who watched long-term anime, HxH is at the very bottom.
Unpopular opinion: As long as he manages to create stories as deep and great as York Shin arc or Chimera Ant arc, i honestly don't care if Togashi takes 10 years to finish the next manga arc.
@@crymp2057 i feel like anyone that says this...is watching anime for explosions and fights...and their favorite movies are avengers and transformers...aka small brain...all good though bud..everyone is different...can't help how we were born.
Thats the best part of the show. You can't expect anything because they dont force all the characters to be around all the time. It's a real living world.
+letmeknow Well, actually he has backache so he can't sit and draw anything becouse he will suffer a lot, i have a couple of friends which have this and they can confirm it's so freaking painfull they can't even run/walk/travel for long distance becouse they will litteraly die, apart from the backache Togashi doesn't have any collaborators to help him with the development of the manga, he said that he don't like having a collaborator and he wants to do EVERYTHING alone (drawing, inking, story writing). I think i know why he said that, time ago he was doing YuYu Hakusho (which i think is a masterpiece excluding the ending of the anime/manga and i'll tell you why) the publisher that hired togashi pushed him to release chapters as fast as possible so togashi effort a lot with that, and the last part of the manga/anime was a complete disaster, i think he wants to proceed slowly so he can think at a better storyline but now that he got backache and other stuffs it will drastically slows the release Did you know that Togashi trained the author of Tokyo Ghoul? (he did this during this year)
Well it could be a good idea if he only wrote the stories, and someone else drew everything... His art is not of the best, and this way he wouldn't get sick that often.
+Hell Heaven 8 canon episodes in 2015. Thank you studio pierrot for the good animation of those eps. oh wait, the animation was shit as well. FUCK you studio pierrot
Considering that Naruto has had 80 episode of filler in a row in the past, can I recommend that you give the show a break and come back to it at a later time?
yup that's the arc that hooked me in. I would've never made it to the spider arc w/o it cause I would've gave up. literally just was fumbling around Netflix and then I click play. suddenly I watched 15 episodes of a show I never heard of, in a row. I was like DJ Khaled "another one."
some people just can't handle it when there's no panty shots or a kawaii waifu material popping up like every 2 seconds because that what anime has come to these days
MastaKeahi I can understand why some people would say that, but... even about the 1999 version I've seen tons of complaining about the Hunter Exam arc being bad.
True. I think it's because there no real danger and some of the competition like cooking one seems fairly simple and shonen like. I feel bad for the people who judge it by the first few episodes and then leave it
First three or four episodes horrible? I thought they were fine. It started light on its feet before trudging onward. It doesn't have to be representative of what's to come.
maybe how old are you or was hxh one of the first animes u have watched might make sens of ur opinion, the very first eps was the thing to make me not watch the show and now it has been spoiled to me so idk if im going to watch it ever+ dont turn this into a childish argument please
@@Brotgl i guess you are the young one here hhh sorry but by your name i guess you are arabic right ? Most 90's kids watched hunter hunter 1999 in their childhood in spacetoon its soooo fucking rare to find someone who didnt . So when i see arabic person who dont know hunter x hunter i always tho he/she must be 00's kid
I forced mylself through the first 5 episodes, now it's my number one anime in the world and I wish there were 5,000 episodes, if the dark continent ark isn't animated, I will commit suicide.
I mean, the whole thing pulled me in and I felt like I was friends with gon and killua, I cried when it ended, I cried watching it, I cried when I found out about the movies, I cried when I found out the manga was returning. honestly it was fucking life, bleach, naruto etc, are fucking great but Hunter x Hunter is my yaweh, my Allah, my fucking king.
seraphiccandy21 Please, Bitches still be ripping Yu Yu Hakusho. At the very least, even if he didn't invent the shounen anime, he redefined the genre and every anime in it has either ripped off him, or is compared to the standard he set. The Dark Tournament is still lifted by many to be the greatest arc in shounen.
Zhren lmao I respect that but, steins;Gate is better written. Has less plot holes. Characters are written better. And has a better soundtrack/animation/art. Fight me
I would agree that Steins;Gate has less plot holes. However, HxH has consistently great art & animation for 148 episodes, an amazing soundtrack and some of (if not) the best character development (and characters) in anime. The story and writing is also superb - especially considering it manages to remain fantastic throughout its 148 episodes.
I loved this show from the second episode on. You're right, I thought it was more kid oriented at first, it subtly amps up the maturity as the show goes on
I genuinely thought i wasnt going to like this...but then it just hits you with shit gets real. and it just kept getting crazier but at the same time, it made characters that would typically would do nothing but fight, actually talk, converse and even compromise when a situation is bad. this show is harsh, brutal, but also hopeful and inspiring. its quite and amazing show to go through.
its a romance so if your not into it you won't like but i think its the best in the high school romance genre i'd advice you to watch the GR review for it
+TheBlackSamurai I don't really agree. Most people who say Hunter x Hunter is better than Fullmetal wouldn't say that if Hunter was more popular, and just overhype it because they unconsciously don't think it's wrong to hype up an underrated show to much. Hunter x Hunter has a huge amount of problems, it's just so good that people overlook it's flaws to much. I mean, the only good arcs are : The Fighting City Arc, The New York City Arc, and the Insect Arc. The other ones are mediocre, like the game one or the one were Killua goes back to his family(though his dad is cool) or half the damn hunter exams. Fullmetal is pretty consistent.
+robin s Dude, Jojo, Assassination Classroom, Demon Detective Neuro, Gintama, Yu Yu Hakusho or FMAB are there, dude. Especially since Gintama was the only long running series that I considered "The longer it runs, the better it gets." because it was basiclally JP South Park.
+Henri_disap Fmab isn't even close to HxH , Fmab isnt even One piece level !! don't ever dare put the Masterpiece that is HxH along with Fmab in one sentence , lol are you insane ?!
the running joke amount chinese fans was Togashi was addict to playing mahjong, the only reason we saw manga update once a while because he lost and need to pay off his gambling debt
+PlannedStupidity I think of they made it around 15-20 episodes instead it would have been better, because a lot of shit and character development was happening even though 3 minutes only pass for the first 6 episodes of the Invasion
The other one you chose was Fairy Tail? Isn't that considered to be the worst of all the current long running shonen? I would have expected you to drift towards something like Gintama
+Kurama Filler Tail should just not even be considered a good show by anyone anymore. It's honestly the worst show i've ever seen (even worse than Pupa). I can't believe people still actually support that shit.
Mischa vd Goes Yea it was summer vacation and I had nothing else to do so I just watched it all day everyday for three days in a row (with around 8 hours of sleep in between every day)
I actually needed exactly as long as you (18 days) to watch the whole series, this is why I can fully support your opinion on letting yourself time! It was the first time where I forced myself to slow down after the first 3 days as my body does not like to get no sleep in mid week. Seriously, *set yourself a episode limit per day* (I set mine to 7 episodes/day after the Heavens Arena arc)
Hisoka best character. If someone would have started doing some work before the Chimera Ant arc started, perhaps.... Perhaps we would have another arc. Also, not enough Hisoka in this video.
+Ralph Strocchia They weren't that exciting but it really gives you a grasp of how much craft and detail is put into everything. The way they get everything to fit together is amazing and really gets you excited for what's going to come next knowing how much effort is put into it.
+Ralph Strocchia Honestly, I think it gets interesting long before we learn what Nen is. I'd say it's around episode 20. I mean, I was already thoroughly enjoying it by the end of the Hunter Exam arc, but the way that arc ends just blew me away because it totally defies ordinary shonen conventions and suddenly you realize this anime is going to be something completely different from what you assumed. Honestly, I could even go back earlier and say that the first time it really started to impress me is the island survival stuff in the Hunter Exam arc. But that's kind of one of the great things about Hunter x Hunter. Peppered throughout the series, there are so many surprising moments where the world unfolds and you realize there's so much more to the story than you thought. It's constantly defying your expectations, but never with cheap twists. It's always with unconventional story developments that make perfect sense in hindsight, but that you could have never predicted.
+Ralph Strocchia For me the breakthrough point was when they solved Trick Tower with Gon having that brilliant out-of-the box idea of opening one door, then smashing the wall and crossing into the other. I love that aspect of the show, that things aren't solved merely by brawn but by brains as well. Then there was the trial on the island where they have to chase after each other that was legitimately gripping. From there on it only got better.
I was one of the few that watched the 1999 and loved it. The hunter exam was indeed the most captivating arc because how much psychoanalysis (or the filler) was done. I only got halfway through the series because it was the dialup age and downloading it was hard. So glad that it's gaining recognition with the 2011 remake.
I personally love Fairy Tail, it's what got me into anime, but I can see why people would not like it. I agree though that people are very harsh on the show.
For those here for the actual review - it begins at 2:45 For someone who preaches about having to sit through filler, i nearly switched it off before he ever got to the actual review. Doesn't sound like a long time to wait, but sure felt like it...
Fairy Tail is shit. Gintama and Hxh are the true great shonens. Hell those arent just great shonen ! Those two are amongst the best animes of all time !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You forgot JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. I don't think Fairy Tail's bad but it will NOT get on par with Hunter x Hunter or JoJo's Bizarre Adventure AT ALL.
its a great classic action anime that i feel a lot of reviews dont ever mention and really should be watch by more people. Granted the art may look a bit dated now but personally i will always love the show.
The hunter exam is one of my favourite arcs. I didn't like the cooking part of the exam but all the other parts were pretty original. I liked seeing how the group actually had to use their brains to finish the exam.
+Jaanika Soom Hopefully when Arkada is looking for a good anime to watch he'll refer to the Review Week of Awesome list. He'll get there eventually!..... probably.....hopefully... @_@
It was your review that got me watching hunter x hunter last year. It was never on my watchlist before, because I thought it would be boring. Now I just wanted to thank you for introducing me to my all time favorite show! I watched it twice since! Thanks a lot!
My fav arc in terms of ranking: 1. Phantom troupe 2. Chimera ant 3. Battle tower (hisoka fight was my fav fight in the series) 4. hunter exam 5. greed island 6. Last arc
Man the ant arc, second half was awesome but I really had to force myself to get through the first half. It was just really boring and slow to me, it really did feel like a filler arc. However the second half blew me away, didn't expect it to go that route.
@@soultheconfusing9563 I didn't find that fight to feel like filler at all. It had a purpose: Meleoron used his subordinates to gauge Gon's strength, and it was a pretty creative fight at that, showing how good of a fighter Gon actually is by this point. And even though he was clearly stronger than the both of them, Gon couldn't just rely on brute strength to beat them, their teamwork wouldn't allow it. A filler fight is something that has no baring on the plot, serves no purpose, and usually has the characters fight in ways we've seen a hundred times by now.
Same .The first half of the Chimera ant arc bored me to death.Especially the pointless narration.Like they explained how an elevator works for 5 minutes.
So glad you reviewed this. Easily my favorite anime honestly, I figured you'd have more criticism to say about the pacing in Chimera Ants but I'm glad you enjoyed it.
+Fabián Ramírez Marín No excuses me but Kimera ants arc is really complex, well-written, with psycologie and philosophy and a beautiful end, beautiful fights ect .... A perfect arc
Yeah ikr, that's what I'm talking about. I shouldn't have expected anything less then a Certified Frosty for HxH. I know he gave FMAB & Trigun the same rating, but what are the other series he's given a CF to?
+Adam Elsaeed from what I can remember: cowboy bebop, azumanga daioh, berserk, fma, soul eater, scrapped princess, higurashi, shirobako, fate zero, haruhi (the series and movie), and implied certified frosties are madoka, baccano, kara no kyoukai, princess tutu (im pretty sure there's some im missing lol)
I raced my friends to see who could watch this show the fastest. I finished it in just 9 days and took second place...Hunter x Hunter is EASILY one of the greatest shows I've ever seen, shounen or otherwise!
Very accurate review! Hunter X Hunter is my new favorite anime/manga. Very dark but very light at the same time. The music is amazing overall the show is a masterpiece
My main problem with HxH is the first half of the Chimera Ant arc - my GOD, it was such a bore to get through. And as an ant nerd, it hurt me in more ways than I can describe. The second half definitely made up for it, but that first half, UGH.
It's good to finally see this reviewed, it was one of my all-time favorite shows and I've seen so few people give it a try because of it's length. If you ever have the time I would highly recommend checking out: -Yu Yu Hakusho (Same writer as Hunter x Hunter) and, -Katekyō Hitman Reborn! (starts off upbeat, but does slowly get more serious - never gives up it's humor entirely though). If you don't have the time... Make time. I've seen them both and they still remain as some of my favorite shows, and are the only long-running shows I would ever openly recommend to anime fans new or old (Bleach, Naruto, etc. have entire seasons of fillers for crying out loud!). Once they've watched those three, then I'd suggest they try out the behemoths such as Naruto, Bleach, One Piece and Fairy Tail (One Piece and Fairy Tail being my 2 favorites. Bleach was good, but I hated the ending.. a lot, and Naruto has a problem with introducing fillers at the most inappropriate times... such as in the middle of the final showdown for example).
+Max xaM idk man it is my favorite show but it took me two months. begining of chimera dragged a lil for me and i was starting to burn out during greed island. Glad I did to because the second I got back into CA I flew through that shit in 2 days
+Max xaM I marathoned it up to the Chimera ant art. After that point, I had to take some breaks in between episodes every once in a while. Not sure why, but some parts of that arc felt slow, and was a bit of a slog to get through.
+Max xaM I finished all the episodes in 5-7 days if I remember correctly...^^ I had a wisdom teeth excision and wasn't really able to do anything (also not really able to sleep) so all I was was starting HxH and finish it :D
+Giatsu Akenori I'd be really interested on his opinion of the Raildex series. It garners material worth talking about, Index would be the second series he reviews from the J.C.Staff trilogy in 2008 (Toradora was the first) and how it acts as a transition from the 2000s to the 2010s.
Yu yu hakusho is one of my fav childhood shows. I thought I was the only one who even remembered it existed lol. Also, great video. Sincerely appreciated.
Me: Arkada's doing long- running Shounen now!!!!???? Me: Will he do Fairy tail!!? Me: YESSSSSS!!!!!!! Magi is another fantastic Shounen you should really consider if you haven't watched it yet!!!!!
+Darkness Serpent ...I do. Sorry, It just irks me in a wrong way I can't explain. But I don't yell at people about it, I just explain it's not the way to pronounce it. The "X" is silent. Simple to remember. (^.^)
My BIGGEST recommendation to ANYONE consider hxh is to watch the first episode of the 1999 anime before the first episode of the 2011 anime. The 2011 skips what I consider to be an INCREDIBLY important first chapter of the manga
I watched it in a week. All 148 episodes. And there is one thing that didn't entertain me at all, and that is SLOW pacing in Chimera Ant arc. Mainly because when something was finally hapening to (for example) Killua, it was instantly switching to Knuckle in the next episode. Like, I waited 8 episodes to finally see some of the characters and then I had to wait another 8 episodes to see them again. But overall hxh is probably my favourite anime ever. I wasn't hoping for much, I just wanted something to kill some time. But now we have to wait like 20 years for season 2 and it's the best case scenario.
Let me tell you. I used to hate One Piece, but then I watched it. At first I didn't start to really enjoy it until around episode 10, but by episode 45, i fell in love! I'm on episode 763 now.
Am i the only one who thinks that 148 episodes is not enough?
Yup we need more but seeing how Hiatus x Hiatus is back we'll need to wait linger for season 2 only got 10 chapters this time
i think its enough, but the number annoys me. like, i wish it was 150ep. there really isnt anything to extend the episode number (and im being petty) but a girl can dream
gnixxy But the set up for the Dark Continent is amazing and I wanted animated
Am I the only one who liked the original Hunter X Hunter from 2004 than the one from 2011? Like, the new one has better animation but I don't like these aspects:
- Its darker turn of events that could or should had been lighter.
- The first part of the newer version passes by important events like they were nothing.
- Gon doesn't show love with animals nor do they show love to him.
- Gon gets his arms blown off by a evil guy and does not throw the guy in jail.
- Gon's father (who seemed to show love for his son but wanted to explore the world in the original version and felt guilty about it) is turned into a douche who avoids Gon even if Gon is in the hospital.
- Certain events to get to know other characters like Leorio were taken out which would had let us like him better.
- The chance encounter that Gon had with his father's pupil before the chimera arc was confusing UNLESS YOU SAW THE ORIGINAL VERSION
- The chimera arc in general was just a different series. Gon sacrifices his very life to beat up a chimera which is out of character for him to do. Gon isn't prideful and tends to know his limits, and if he was like this he would had went to fight with the clown guy when they first met. - Gon is now cut from the series guys. Because he has no powers, they cut him. Ya know, the original protagonist that started everything. Ya, his adventure is over. That will be it from me.
Honestly, the original 2004 was dark but this version kind of depressed me. So many people were dying left and right without reason, Kouya is on the run even though his family won't do anything to the sister anymore, and Gon's dad seems to be the new star of the series. I don't know people, if a series starts off trying to be friendly, sweet, and nice then shouldn't it at least adhere to having a semi-nice ending that doesn't involve Gon's inspirational figure putting his mind into a young girl, Gon almost dying, and his dad being a butt. It took over 100 episodes just for the dad to talk to Gon.
***** Most likely because they only HxH that are in anime are from 1999 and 2011
I never found the beginning of Hunter X Hunter to be bad
Nor did I, but I did find it bad compared to the rest of the anime.

It's not bad but it doesn't fully embody the series itself and how dark and morally ambiguous characters can be. Some people just drop it off thinking it's the cliche Shonen anime . I feel sorry for them

We need a "spoiler alert" version of this review, where you go balls deep into the arcs, especially the CA arc.

A part of me is disappointed Hisoka didn't have his own dedicated 5 minute section in this review
+Too Much Hentai Whoops, did I say 5? I meant 50.
Same, a lot of these villains are so amazing and the friendship between gon and killua, the king, the king and komugi. But I guess his review would be 2 hours long if he mentioned all this.

I agree... and I'm only 17. Forget the manga's progress, we're talking about Studio Madhouse here, mother of all "We'll see about a season 2 but may never give it to you".
I'm sure they'll do it in the year 2111
Is there anything after episode 148? or am I just confused? I Just finished it!!
+Ante Boss there is like 2 movies and a ova i think
yes but they are not following the story after episode 148, it feels incomplete because the didnt finish hisoka and chrollo storyline

Is he really a villain though? Most of the time he seems more neutral
+PlannedStupidity he killed for fun so he was a villain
he is amazing, so fucking hilarious and cool.
+Josh Chamberlin he is kinda like an antihero antivillian thing, since he helped gon on the greed island arc
Wait...Fairy Tail?
That's the embodiment of shounen tropes.
He will soon find out
KA1N3R more like shouen hentai
Fairy Tail started good and had a great potential. It's after the first arcs that things started to become garbage.
Power of Friendship.
Petar Mrkic I checked it out too, they filled so much crap up I can't understand a thing.
Thinking of dropping Fairy Tail for Hunter x Hunter, shoud i do it?
+Anton Olofsson yes its awesome :)
Just watch both at the same time
+Anton Olofsson After watching HXH, all other anime will look bad and not as good, by that logic you should watch FT first, but you should just watch HXH.
+Anton Olofsson Fairy Tail is pile of garbage. If you drop hxh for it you are fucking insane.
+holf99 Im probably going to finish Fairy Tail first. I actually watched the first episode of HXH and it got me quite curious. :)
The Ants arc is the best thing I ever watched, and it didn't even have my favorite character "Hisoka"
lopfi lottfi I liked it alot, but thought it kinda dragged a little. loved when Gon destroyed pitou
Petar Mrkic Yeah I agree the shadow troupe arc was amazing
Then you should read the oneshot on Hisokas origin, it's great. Just google "hunter x hunter hisoka origin". It was scanlated by mangascan.
serasviktoria I read it but it's not canon
It's canon.
To quote another user (Nicolas Brodeur) over at Mangafox:
"It's canon, in an interview with togashi and Ishida (just type ishida togashi interview on google) togashi recognized his work and if he had to write something about Hisoka, it would be what happened to hisoka to lay on the road where the circus troupe find him at the beginning."
Link to the translated interview:
chiggix.tumblr.com/post/145336753292/%E5%86%A8%E6%A8%AB%E7%BE%A9%E5%8D%9A-%E7%9F%B3%E7%94%B0%E3%82%B9%E3%82%A4-%E7%89%B9%E5%88%A5%E5%AF%BE%E8%AB%87-%E5%B0%91%E5%B9%B4%E3%82%B8%E3%83%A3%E3%83%B3%E3%83%97
So yeah, if Togashi says that if he draws an origin of Hisoka by himself, he will connect it to this Oneshot then the Oneshot is canon.
I cried for hours lol
Genesys1040 episode 147 fucked up my emotions
I actually found Reina's situation to be sadder ironically.
NO! DON'T FUCKING REMIND ME OF THAT CRAP! *sniffles* His character development was too good for an antagonist!
"at a pace you might not even notice until it's too late."
Did you get post traumatic stress disorder like i did tho ?
I thought so
Hiatus x Hiatus

Togashi is so lazy.
+G_Spark233 The hiatus is real
Oh shit I was going to say that :(
+Selfish Abyss But muh Dragon Quest...
This masterpiece isnt given enough credit... smh
+2kOmniKing other anime with higher rating? on mal, this is 5th, and the other 4 deserve it. this show gets plenty of respect dude.
thats just rude just because someone doesnt like it they have a low iq
+Dantès HXH full is great you know: D
I just want Gon and Killua to reunite and hug and be happy
Tbh i disliked the Chimera ant arch... it was dragged out way too long.
I just hope he doesn't die before it's finished xp
@@crymp2057 i feel like anyone that says this...is watching anime for explosions and fights...and their favorite movies are avengers and transformers...aka small brain...all good though bud..everyone is different...can't help how we were born.
Hunter x hunter is a one of a kind of show, you never know what is next. Love it
Thats the best part of the show. You can't expect anything because they dont force all the characters to be around all the time. It's a real living world.
Hunter x Hunter is perfect!!!, i can't believe Togashi was able to make such a masterpiece and now just gave up the manga (or looks like he did)
+MadLane Idk if he did, he had like one chapter left before he could sell another Volume, maybe he is really sick
I think i know why he said that, time ago he was doing YuYu Hakusho (which i think is a masterpiece excluding the ending of the anime/manga and i'll tell you why) the publisher that hired togashi pushed him to release chapters as fast as possible so togashi effort a lot with that, and the last part of the manga/anime was a complete disaster, i think he wants to proceed slowly so he can think at a better storyline but now that he got backache and other stuffs it will drastically slows the release
Did you know that Togashi trained the author of Tokyo Ghoul? (he did this during this year)
I heard he might pass it along to another author/artist to finish it
KingKien95 yeah, and i hope he wont do that...
+Gioun. plz well I don't think he's gonna finish it himself
Welp. We're back to Hiatus x Hiatus again. And we just got to the good part. I wanted to see more of suit Kurapika.
Sigh~
See ya in 2 years, Togashi.
more important than kurapika i just wanted to see the Oreo actually do his thing you know
Same, Kurapika got me too hype.
+Skell0ton he should just finish this arc and do one last big arc and wrap HxH up
+Uriel Gaines Yep, if Togashi wrote consistently lots of people would realize that HXH is one of the best shonen's of all time.
Well it could be a good idea if he only wrote the stories, and someone else drew everything... His art is not of the best, and this way he wouldn't get sick that often.
its been 16 weeks straight that Naruto is having filler episodes.....................
Add a couple more
Worst of all is that the filler is completely pointless.
+Takamura mamoru pierrot still better than funimation, they ruined the new digimon :(
No idea why people always hate on the hunter exam arc. I guess they just have bad taste.
yup that's the arc that hooked me in.
Some people say it was done better in the 1999 version.
MastaKeahi I can understand why some people would say that, but... even about the 1999 version I've seen tons of complaining about the Hunter Exam arc being bad.
True. I think it's because there no real danger and some of the competition like cooking one seems fairly simple and shonen like. I feel bad for the people who judge it by the first few episodes and then leave it
Leorio's luck stat is is too high you say? that man has arguably the worst luck in the show (lol)
If he has the worst anything it would be wisdom, with fairly low inteligence
He is pretty lucky compared to his skill level

The opening song doesn't change, but the lyrics change to reflect the progression of the story.
Nah theirs only 2 version verse 1 and verse 2
First three or four episodes horrible? I thought they were fine. It started light on its feet before trudging onward. It doesn't have to be representative of what's to come.
maybe how old are you or was hxh one of the first animes u have watched might make sens of ur opinion, the very first eps was the thing to make me not watch the show and now it has been spoiled to me so idk if im going to watch it ever+ dont turn this into a childish argument please

Fun fact for those who didnt know: the wife of Togashi made Sailor Moon
M Alc - no way?? That's crazy
I was just as shocked when I found out lol
M Alc
She's more famous because of an anime that is worse than HxH.. That's kinda sad
Sailor moon is the mother of all magical girls. Can you say teh same of any of Togashis work?
seraphiccandy21 Please, Bitches still be ripping Yu Yu Hakusho. At the very least, even if he didn't invent the shounen anime, he redefined the genre and every anime in it has either ripped off him, or is compared to the standard he set. The Dark Tournament is still lifted by many to be the greatest arc in shounen.
Hunter x Hunter (2011) is the best anime of all time.
PokeFan3003 nope. Monster and steins gate slaughter it
Never seen Monster but IMO HxH is far superior to Steins;Gate.
Killua Zoldyck Monster > better than your favorite anime. Fight me
Quite simply one of the best anime ever created.
*Best
Daisuke Ono Yes (
+Mazen cool story bro
Decade wise
I loved this show from the second episode on. You're right, I thought it was more kid oriented at first, it subtly amps up the maturity as the show goes on
Subtly? Sure, it takes you along on a smooth ride and then...
The show ramps up to 11 faster than Netero can slap with his buddha statue thingy.
You think the Hunter x Hunter manga is bad?
Berserk.
That's all I'm saying.
+crzymn246 Oh god pls don't remind me
+crzymn246 Berserk is back though

MrAtomic707 Yeah but only God knows if/when the next chapter is going to actually come out. I keep expecting it to be months if not years...
Hunter x Hunter > Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood.
+TheBlackSamurai True shit. FMAB is amazing though.
+TheBlackSamurai What about the 2003 Fullmetal Alchemist
Nathan Buford never seen it I heard it sucks.
its a romance so if your not into it you won't like but i think its the best in the high school romance genre i'd advice you to watch the GR review for it
+TheBlackSamurai
I don't really agree.
Fullmetal is pretty consistent.
hxh is simply the best shounen of all time
this comes from a one piece and dragon ball fan XD
+robin s gintama is better
Fabián Ramírez Marín yeah, well, you know, that's just like your opinion man
+robin s Dude, Jojo, Assassination Classroom, Demon Detective Neuro, Gintama, Yu Yu Hakusho or FMAB are there, dude.

Another one is that he's fan of RPGs like Dragon quest, so every time a new game came out, a hiatus followed xD
My only legitimate complaint is how slow paced the climax of the chimera ant arc is, it takes like 20 episodes for 3min to pass.
+PlannedStupidity and don't forget the amount of Narrator there.
And that narrator really took the immersion out of the show
+PlannedStupidity I think of they made it around 15-20 episodes instead it would have been better, because a lot of shit and character development was happening even though 3 minutes only pass for the first 6 episodes of the Invasion
For how good that arc was there were a lot of problems with it.
G_Spark233
but still it had some of the best moments to
FACT: HxH is the best Shonen ever made
The other one you chose was Fairy Tail? Isn't that considered to be the worst of all the current long running shonen? I would have expected you to drift towards something like Gintama
+Kurama it was based on votes
+Kurama Filler Tail should just not even be considered a good show by anyone anymore. It's honestly the worst show i've ever seen (even worse than Pupa). I can't believe people still actually support that shit.
+MrPatrickbuit Why filler tail. Shouldn't the King of filler be Naruto or OP
axlorg89 Fairy Tail is just as bad, if not worse.
+axlorg89 one piece's fillers are little bits in canon scenes that add some or a lot more impact.
I watched it in 3 days (around 50 episodes a day) I should really get a life....
How is that even possible? That's like 16 hours a day xD
Mischa vd Goes Yea it was summer vacation and I had nothing else to do so I just watched it all day everyday for three days in a row (with around 8 hours of sleep in between every day)

@@aanthony6168 some people have eyesight yet they are blind,so some people hate the chimera ant because of shit reasons.
When there are enough chapters to make a new HxH Anime it will be Hunter X Hunter (2023)
Hisoka best character. If someone would have started doing some work before the Chimera Ant arc started, perhaps.... Perhaps we would have another arc.
Also, not enough Hisoka in this video.

Chapter Black Meruem*
Episode ~30 is when it gets ... Not boring. Not that the first 30 were boring. But once the characters are introduced to nen, things get interesting.
+Ralph Strocchia Yes Well said :D
+Ralph Strocchia They weren't that exciting but it really gives you a grasp of how much craft and detail is put into everything. The way they get everything to fit together is amazing and really gets you excited for what's going to come next knowing how much effort is put into it.
-Wraith- Yeah, I'm not arguing the fact that the episodes weren't necessary. They were just not too interesting.
I didn't really like fairy tail but I think people are a little harsh on it.
I personally love Fairy Tail, it's what got me into anime, but I can see why people would not like it. I agree though that people are very harsh on the show.
fair enough
squirtle it really isnt that bad for like the first few episodes and heck its not even that bad in the later episodes.

+Tinizel Ah ok. I personally appreciated the arc from beginning to end me
How did it feel like filler jw?
@@dominicgunderson gon vs owl and bat you can't tell me that didint feel lile a filler fight

+InTheOtherWorld. No whole arc was great
+komugi17 hunter na it was super boring....nothing wrong to admit it
Ultravigo Nightcore Not the arc was not boring. Arrested lying
komugi17 hunter ok
True that first half of that arc I wanted to skip
HXH2011 is awesome. One thing that annoyed me is the strong narrative and few...Happenings during some of the insect arc's episodes.
+Borkenheimerlein I did like it, but they could have cut down around 10% of his lines in that arc
+Borkenheimerlein Is there a dubbed virgin?
Can you give me the website please
you me it's coming out next year
+letmeknow awesome. thank you do you know the month and the day of it coming out?
you me nah, but Viz is doing the Dub
Haven't seen end yet
But bet is on certified frosty
Ayyyyyy called it
+DragonAce028 yes you did!
+DragonAce028 so did I :D
Mascara can you take off the infinite filleryomi on naruto I wanna see how it ends
+Ushio Okazaki madara*
>doesn't like the power of friendship
>watching fairy tail
It's good to finally see this reviewed, it was one of my all-time favorite shows and I've seen so few people give it a try because of it's length.
If you ever have the time I would highly recommend checking out:
-Yu Yu Hakusho (Same writer as Hunter x Hunter) and,
-Katekyō Hitman Reborn!
Bleach was good, but I hated the ending.. a lot, and Naruto has a problem with introducing fillers at the most inappropriate times... such as in the middle of the final showdown for example).
fantastic now review yu yu hakusho its made by the same person
+RivenX360 oops
+RivenX360 guess you already knew that still i wanna see this review m8
Yare Yare Daze... this must be the work of an enemy stand

+RivenX360 you THOUGHT it was an enemy stand but it was ME! DIO!

the descendants of togashi will complete it for sure
Hunter x Hunter is by far my favourite Shounen. I like it even more than FMAB which is also amazing!
Also, Hunter Exam arc is amazing in my opinion!
You haven't even started to talk about HxH in the video, but I wanted to tell you that you became one of my favorite RUclipsrs ever.
What? Hunter X Hunter has been the easiest marathon yet. Most people finish it within a week
Took me a month and it wasn't even finished when I caught up to it lol
yup & JoJo
HxH 2011 is my all time favorite anime.
Welp, no certain magical index this time then :/ but awesome review, ark! :D
+Giatsu Akenori oh what I'd give for him to review that show. I freaking love Index.........not Railgun though.
+Giatsu Akenori So, I'm not the only one wanting him to review it XD (:.
+callump1996 yes I hope he rewiews it to just finished it, and was surprised by everything it has going for it.
Maybe we'll be lucky and he gives it a chance someday, or it gets the votes at the next rwoa
+CarAmeL624 Agreed ! Magi is one of the best shones imo and is rly underated, thought it does take some time before it rly becomes good
+CarAmeL624 he should drop fairy tail and watch magi instead because he not going to be happy when he gets to filler arcs.
HxH is the greatest anime of all time
Who gets pissed off when you call it Hunter x Hunter?
+Darkness Serpent the real Fanatics
+Darkness Serpent ...I do. Sorry, It just irks me in a wrong way I can't explain. But I don't yell at people about it, I just explain it's not the way to pronounce it. The "X" is silent. Simple to remember. (^.^)
+Satisek you made my day 😂😂😂😂
+LumyTheQueen Why is the "X" silent anyway?
+LumyTheQueen but whys the x silent?
But now we have to wait like 20 years for season 2 and it's the best case scenario.
yeah I dont like how they dragged it out eaither it seemed a bit pointless still a really good arc
Hunter x Hunter is one of the best shown shows with no filler episodes and full of awesomeness 😎😎
I finished it today
Please do Kuroko no Basket (1,2 and 3 all as one)
I neeeeeed Kuroko no Basket.
Like if you want Kuroko no Basket
Let me tell you. I used to hate One Piece, but then I watched it. At first I didn't start to really enjoy it until around episode 10, but by episode 45, i fell in love! I'm on episode 763 now.
