Awesome little truck! I had one back in the days. Thought of getting another clod. Never heard the term driving a rc toy. Maybe playing with it, but never heard driving it. As a rc car is not a motor vehicle. To me, it’s more like playing with the rc toy not driving one.😂
Dude... too much... lol! The original build (running 2 x Castle Sidewinder 3 esc's and Brushless motors) ran up around $1400! It was a passion project though and I would do it again in a minute! Such a fun, unique truck. 😄
Awesome truck! One of my all time fav. but my funding only ends up with wild dagger because I can’t afford making it to this level😁 twin brushless with lower KV would be ultimate 🤘🏼 liar...you are not a poor boy my sir🤣🤣🤣
Wild Dagger is an awesome truck! I'm working on restoring one now! Haha! I grew up a VERY poor boy, now I'm just a financially irresponsible adult! Lol! 🤣🤣🤣
@@poorboysrc Only if this is how being irresponsible as an adult is, our world will be perfect!😁😁😁 just standing by for more awesome vids and build!👍🏻😊👍🏻
I’m gonna put one of those motors in my wife’s Pumpkin build. Those carbon fiber reinforced links are sweeeeeeet. The powder coating is super clean too. You are courageous for taking on a Clod mod Build without building the original yet. Impressive Bro. It almost doubles as a crawler too.
Oh yeah that motor is a Pumpkin would be tons of fun! Back before crawling was as big as it is now, guys were using Clod Busters to crawl with. Seems totally archaic now, but it was a "thing" back in the day... lol!
The Clodbuster is one of the funnest rc trucks to modify. Your rig looks freakin awesome bud! Would have loved to see that truck run with the brushless set up.
super bad ass brudda! I'm going to be doing some clod specials on my channel soon too , in my latest vid we play with the driftcars and the clod and I use the clod as a camera car for a bit lol .
Nice, very random question. What would be the utter most cheapest motor and esc combo, that could get a car going over 60km/h with i think is about 35mph, all my rc cars are brushed. Love the channel
As far as I know the cheapest option out there would be one of these: ruclips.net/video/IUzsRm_wL4U/видео.html It's brushless and the esc's are hit-or-miss, but it's dirt-cheap and with proper gearing you should be able to hit 60. 🤙
@@Thomas_Smaling yeah those 15T's will end up burning up the stock Tamiya esc. The Hobbywing 880 will be a great fit. Otherwise you could run two Hobbywing 1060's, one for each motor. They're so cheap, it's a viable option!
I was wondering if you are aware that Tamiya has released a limited edition Clod Buster? It is blue and gray. It appears that it is only a North American release. Thoughts?
Yeah most definitely! I do love the color scheme of it, but I've got a couple Clods already and figured I'd save my $$$ for another kit. Cheers for the heads up! 🍻
Been looking at these race clods recently. Your chassis is a Predator. Basically the updated Terminator with dual battery capability. Very nice build.
Ah yes, I forgot that name! Haha. Thanks for watching! 🤙

You should definitely get another Clod. They're so much fun, you'll love every second of it. 👊🏼
Love you too brah! you did some amazing work with that beast!
I still remember ordering parts for it, every pay check, month by month, accumulating parts... What a great build. Good memories.
Very cool man, wonder what that bad boy is worth!
Lol 1 miiiiiiiiiiiillion dooooooooollors

Thanks bro! Yeah it was just bananas with the brushless motors in there, no way I could get it even close to top speed! 🤣
Wow Phil, that looks amazing. I'm going to watch the run video now 😀👍 ( 1K is close my friend )
Haha thanks Derek! I can smell the 1K! :)
Hope you enjoy the running vid, I had fun making that one, I had to go big for such a big truck! 👊

@@poorboysrc cuz i got a 550 15t brushed motor in there, its fast, but.. could be faster, but at the same time on on a budget

@@poorboysrc Yes, Clod Buster kits are expensive. Plus if you already have two than you probably do not need one more.
Is it 1/8?
It’s 1/Christian scale now
@@derricksazrc3411 😂 I don’t know what that means but it’s funny
With this new wheelbase, now it's 1/8. 👊
@@poorboysrc nice 👍
Because the truck is almost as big as you. But I was being silly cuz it isn’t, it’s like half your size. Lol
Sweet!
