Nobody is talking about this but my heart is heavy for the first responders and medical personnel who had to have countless dead 10 year olds in their trucks and hospitals in one day. They will never get over that.

As a first responder (Police) myself I can say I’ve seen many many terrible things but something like this is something even the ones who have seen the worst of the worst cannot anticipate. My best advice when it comes to speaking to a first responder like an EMT, firefighter , and more particularly Police due to the current public turmoil with police nowadays. Treat them with compassion and try and give them the benefit of the doubt even if they do something that comes off as rude or mildly angry/aggressive. These people deal with more traumatic events in the span of 1 week than some people do in a lifetime , because that is there job. That police officer that just pulled you over for speeding and lashed out angrily when you started being difficult … his last call saw him telling a mother that her son died in a car crash. The day before he failed to resuscitate a person overdosing on drugs. This is just a hypothetical of the stuff you don’t see and thus don’t think about when you have an interaction with the Police and could perhaps explain why the Cop might not be so patient with you for 1 reason or the other. I have all the respect for first responders not just Police because they do the jobs that aren’t always pretty but nonetheless need to get done by somebody and they for the most part do it out of a personal obligation to help people and to serve the public to the best of there ability , otherwise they could never handle it. If you meet a first responder or personally know them , thank them for there work. It means a lot to them and it goes along way because a lot of the time there jobs go thankless especially with Police due in part to the public turmoil I mentioned earlier.

Can you even imagine if it was your job to investigate this? WOW! I couldn't believe that the Texas Ranger was able to stand there and report on this. He has personally seen elementary aged children murdered bodies and even having to talk to the parents alone would be a nightmare. This poor police officer will take this one to his grave. He could try getting some help but nothing would help after seeing this.

    • @archdukefranzferdinand4429

@@carlson9530 Generally there will be an officer assigned to speak with the press. That officer will be given the pertinent details needed to make some type of statement and sometimes that officer will not be someone directly involved with the crime scene. It’s usually an officer not assigned to patrol and instead plays some type of management role mostly at the department itself which would make them in a lot of cases not a first responder. Every situation is different but the officers speaking to the press generally avoid being directly involved with a gruesome crime scene as much as possible. The officers that have to be confronted with the crime scene in person are not the ones typically assigned to do any speaking to the press, ide imagine that would be a cruel thing to ask of someone who just had to deal with such a thing anyhow.

How do you know. When someone has lost all hope and is full of anger, hate would be a more likely motive. I believe that media perpetuates this for a different reason. They just show 24-7 negative news. You can't check an email or have a conversation with anyone without it all being about negative stories or politics. It is causing mental illness to worsen. We are innundated with these negative stories and as a society we are encapsulating ourselves into our own social media worlds in which we choose what to hear and block out anything we disagree with. This is making us antisocial and taking away the only true purpose of existence which is true connection. Lack of connection leads to lack of empathy, which makes it much easier to perpetuate these acts of violence.

You can still kill as many people anywhere else.
What you’re suggesting is good, all I am saying is - he would have done it somewhere else, even if there’s a metal detector everywhere and people enter one by one, he can just start shooting outside while the people are waiting in a queue.
As long people have access to guns, this will always be happening.
It’s just too easy for these evil/sick people - of course they will keep on doing it.
Plus they always go in there willing to die - so they don’t care if they get killed by a security, or police, or armed teacher or whoever. As long as they can cause as much harm as possible on their way out.

You are describing a prison Sara.
Other countries do not have rampant school shootings or mass killings. Their kids go to school in peace without having to learn active shooter drills over and over again. Guess what other countries don’t have - an insane amount of guns and easy access to weapons even by lunatics. The constitution needs an amendment. The founding fathers could not have thought about this problem in their time. The most pressing danger at that time was an invasion by the British navy so it made sense to arm everyone to mobilize an army. That danger of invasion does not exist in todays world. The other argument about mental health is also kinda lame because every nation has people with mental health issues and just like america many of those people can’t really get help or can’t afford it but they are not going about killing children for sport. The guns are a problem.

The fact that this was premeditated is especially sad. It seems like other school shooters first killed their family then did a spree shooting at a school. Hopefully psychologists take note on that in trying to figure out what triggered this guy to do what he did. I personally think that doing major research on all these types of crimes and finding commonalities might be the closest way to ever possibly understanding, then dealing with it.
I realize often times the only way to stop a spree shooter is to kill them, but it could be handy taking them alive to learn why they do what they do. The whole thing is so insanely sad. It’s getting so damn common we are becoming desensitized.

      S&W M&P AR $599 - $799
Red dot for S&W M&P AR (unknown what kind)
Approx 375 rounds of 5.56 NATO ammo ( at least $250+ depending on where, when, brand)

With the craziness and volatility in the world and our communities, homeschooling will continue. I think I can do a better job anyway and will be happy to know I am not dependent on their indoctrination system. Make the necessary sacrifices for your children, consider homeschool. The other rifle doesn't cost 2k. Theyre around 600-800.
He also had a job and didn't have any financial responsibilities making it easy to save up quickly. We also know he was planning this for a minimum of 8 months, but most likely even longer. Allowing him a lot of time

When you are the persons responsible for planning and financing this mass murder in a attempt to deflect attention off a failed presidency and trying to push a gun ban forward you won't ask anything. Ban guns sounds better because that was the motif in itself along with distracting the public from a EPIC failure administration. Most likely the worst ever and will go down in the history books as such.

All of the media reports on Tuesday said he used a handgun & may have had a long on with him as well. Now all the media says that he bought the 2 rifles on/around his birthday as well as not stating what weapon(s) were used in the attack. Was a rifle used, or handgun, or both?
People feel frustrated cuz the story keeps changing & its hard to know what actually happened. I am also hearing the shooter did not have a legal state or federal type of photo ID. If that is true, he could not have legally bought the rifles or supposed handgun..

How many handguns can kill 20 people? I'm sure not all his shots made their mark too.
