Your instructor’s demeanor is great! He’s building a really good calm approach to learning very complex stuff with you. When things start to get more difficult and happen faster you’ll be able to absorb the info and take the necessary criticism without any problems, and learn more effectively. I think he’s really good.
That smile on your face the whole flight was priceless!
I couldn’t help it, I had a total blast🥰
@@FlyWithKay I think Kay likes to fly. 😅. I had a smile watching you smile. My instructor once told me, “I like flying with you, Andy, because as soon as we get airborne you always get the biggest smile on your face.” This was a great video! When you said you were nervous about the steep turns, I was thinking yep, I’d be nervous, too. It’s a whole different airplane, lots of power and momentum, isn’t it? It was a long time ago, but I recall riding along on a skydiving flight in a B90 (had to wear a parachute in the right seat) the pilot let me make some turns on the descent. Compared to a Cessna 150, it was a lot different. But on the I initial descent out of 12,500’ after the jumpers were away, I think he did that 90-deg bank chop and drop maneuver. Although, I don’t think he dropped the gear. That was wild!
That was cool watching you fly. Thanks for the really cool video!!
I'm guessing by the end of the flight her face was sore...What a smile...
@@Andrew-13579 I remember the first day I had the left seat and my instructor was right seat, as soon as I rotated (in C172) and got off the ground he remarked about the ear to ear grin I had. I LOVE flying. It's so expensive though. One day maybe I'll own my own plane.
Exactly what I came here to say. Kay's intelligence, attention to detail, and her smile of wonderment and accomplishment is priceless. Kay if you were my granddaughter I'd be so proud of you.
Superb instructor, calm, confident, in command but letting Kay be the same he gave great guidance and authority gradient help. You grew into that plane so quickly, brilliant job Kay. That King Air sooo sensitive. A real thoroughbred. Huge congrats Kay
This guy must be an instructor, because I can even understand what he’s talking about, and I know nothing about planes. But he’s very clear on his instructions.
No you didn’t stop lying
True! Instead of something cryptic it's "Let's creep our way down to 6000 ft"
The instructor is very trusting and definitely knows what they are doing!
He knows he has an excellent student .
You look fantastic in the kingair pilot seat Kay!
WHOOOO HOOOOO What a great buzz for you, handled like a pro as expected. !!!!!!!!!!
Thank you my friend! I can’t wait to do it again😎
I think you had a great instructor
Agree. Her instructor KNOWS the 'pointers' flying this powerful and SO sensitive airship and making flying it a pleasurable experience...
That makes me so happy to see a young lady like yourself handle that King Air like a boss! Absolutely one of the coolest airplanes their is! Hats off to the instructor too! He's definitely top notch! Aviation definitely needs more instructors like him!👍
Awesome!
AMEN!
What a refreshing video. You never see something like this in RUclips aviation community.
I have big plans and big ideas and I’m so happy to hear you enjoyed this new style content!!!
WAY TO GO, Kay!!! I really enjoyed this video. My FIL and his business partner had a King Air back in the 90's to the early 2000's. What a plane. Can't wait to see what's next.
Great Video! Thanks for sharing. I went to high school just west of the Beech field, where the King Air 200 was (is) built. I quit football after seeing a KIng Air 200 fly over during practice and finished my private pilot's license before high school graduation. Great to see you in the left seat of a King Air!
I actually work for Emergent Air and immediately recognized 898BR! Great job, Kay!!!
Oh my God Kay how exciting!!! You did a FANTASTIC JOB!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🩷
I see twin engines in Kays future !!!
I see jets and a USAF comision to fly a F35's and F22 Raptors...
This video shows the correct attitude to entering a new aircraft. All eyes and ears are open to learn. This is how it should be. I admire Kay, as this is how I wanted to be. It didn't happen for me, but it's great to see it happening for someone else.
Well thank you for the kind words, I really appreciate it🥰
Then maybe you should have had a better attitude and not a know it all
what’s with the moral policing?
I was at the edge of my seat the entire time. You were a BOSS !! Congratulations, Kay ❤
Loved taking the 1st flight in the KingAir. with you and your instructor. You did it like the professional pilot you are. Stay safe. ❤❤❤
I remember my first twin experiences. It to was in a king air. At the time I had been flying a Skipper 77 for about 3 years. It’s like going from a Volkswagen to a Ferrari !😊 I could tell you we’re having the time of your life.
Congratulations Kay! Absolutely fantastic. Continued best wishes with the King Air.
WOW you greased that King Air in like a true pro .. Your instructor was loading you at a at the highest level he knew you were capable of .. Well done both .. great airplane it can reverse into a parking spot once on the ground .Awesome aeroplane .. Scary way of loosing height stick it on it,s wingtip and down you go 4,000 ft in how many seconds .. Your smile say,s it all. Loving your videos .
It was so much fun! I could see your excitement about how this plane is different from your own one! You did it great and... what an awesome instructor you have! 🤩👏👏
That was a fantastic first flight in the left-hand seat of a truly high-performance aircraft. You flew it like a pro, and like you are ready to take the training head on. Keep up the great work and keep us in the loop with videos as you go through the program. The smile told me everything about how you felt about this flight !
In light of recent tragic events it's so refreshing to see a young lady who is a qualified pilot with confidence, competence, and skill. And an instructor who is equally qualified and competent! Well done! Enjoying this channel.
Kudo's young lady. Learning a multi-engine is hard but you made it look easy. I missed my window to learn how to fly due to health issues but it's nice to see your determination to learn and expand your horizons. Great job. Hoping to see you qualified for you multiengine soon. All the best.
Part 103 is still an option my friend. Live those dreams!
You go Kay! So awesome to see such a kick ass young lady grow! I bet Pops is so proud! ❤️✌️
kay, i enjoy youre channel and youre personality, too. you looked confident in this plane. and you look very ready. you reminded me ,even though its really not much of a comparison, when i was trained to perform in a over the road big rig being trained by my trainer in the seat. you are confident and gutsy. driving a big rig use to make me nervous and at times it was scary. but i did it and drove for a few years. i cant imagine the nerves this takes. but you look like a pro and what a step up. watching you brought back my big rig days in training. im happy for you and you look like a natural. way to go!!!!!you were destined to fly.
What a treat!! I was at the edge of my seat the whole time.
Congratulations on flying the twin!
That’s really cool! I worked in EMS for about 13 years and I did a transport from an airport to a rehab center once. Our patient came in on an aircraft just like that! It was in some bad weather too. Ceiling was only about 80 feet. That pilot set it down so beautifully!!
Wow! Kay's in a King Air sooo... cool. Happy, happy Kay!
What a wonderful opportunity for you, Kay! And you’ve got video of it as a keepsake. Nice!
Never seen anyone sustain a smile that long before. Awesome
So proud of you kay!! You did an amazing job on piloting that beast!!
#reaching new heights!!
Way cool! It's been a few years now, I have over a thousand hours in King Airs, what a great machine. So awesome that you got to do this! Thanks for posting this!
Thanks Kay. You did a awesome job. That is one beautiful plane. Hope to see more of you flying The KIng Air.
Nice work in the turns in an unfamiliar aircraft....nose tracked perfectly along the horizon....nice work !!!

Very nice job Kay hats off to your instructor and yourself. Outstanding job but please don’t rush it to fast. Take your time with this instructor as he is likely the best teacher/instructor around. He is very professional for sure. 😊
My favorite episode, Kay! The skills you've developed prepared you for this next step. You handled everything beautifully. Kudos to your fine instructor.

Very nicely done, Kay! I can't wait to get to that level of flying! We really appreciate the way you share your experiences and thoughts as you transition to larger and more complex aircraft. It's very helpful! Thank you for sharing!❤😊
Kay, u feel cool b/c u r cool - irrespective of whatever a/c ur piloting.
Interesting, suspenseful music u chose.
Another great video kay, so exciting for you great to watch
Pulling left…. Unlike the Beechcraft Baron 58. The King Air doesn’t have counter rotating props. I wonder why. You go gal !!! A true Texan 👩✈️
A baron does not offer CR engines…
The one airplane that comes to mind is the Piper twin Comanche that has contrarotating props. They are no longer in production She is a piper fan so maybe an option except the cost of owner ship is a lot more.
The Baron doesn't have counter rotating props !!
I envy you. I want to fly a King Air.
That was great! Can't wait to see what you new plane is!
Wow super happy for you Kay!
That is so awesome! :) Excited for you! You go girl!
Awesome Job Kay!!!
Kay I am so proud of you, you did so wonderful. You look good in that big aircraft.
How super cool is this! Way to go Kay! Very proud of you! Very chill instructor too. It's quite obvious he was impressed. So We have a Queen in the King!
Had a short time rt seat of a King Air. Definitely different from the Sky Hawk I was used to. Beautiful AC to fly. Loved the landing.

King Air’s & helicopters! It’s good to see you broadening your horizons, Kay! I’m a big fan!
Love the smile through this video! Can tell you were loving it!!!
GREAT JOB KAY !!!
Go go go Girl...very nice...a upgrade!!!
Kay well done, flying a complex aircraft is a head trip and intimidating. You remained cool, calm and collected. When you did the 360 a trick you learned in primary flight is glance at the cloud deck, its a great attitude reference, and then back to the gauges, repeat. Thanks for sharing, its fun for us ground pounders to see you fly like a bird. Cheers.
Great job. Congratulations
Really looking forward to your next lessons!!
That was fun little tactical and certainly sensitive but you do a great job. Thanks for sharing
Glad you had a lot of fun. The King Air is one of my all time favorite turbo props. Fast, powerful and a joy to fly!
Wow well done kay👍👍
