It's fun to listen to your comments Kay. I flew for many years in an Archer and understand your fawning over your Cherokee. I'm 82 and had to give up flying which I miss very much. Keep working with your videos and enjoy it.

25:35 That was me! So one Sunday morning I departed French Valley Airport (F70) and flew to Hemet-Ryan (KHMT) for breakfast. After landing at KHMT and taxing to the restaurant I saw a beautiful Seneca and two young ladies pre-flighting the aircraft. As I got closer to the Seneca I noticed a familiar face: Is that KAY?! IT IS KAY!!! After securing my airplane I walked over and introduced myself. I told her I followed her on RUclips and was a big fan. Kay is SOOOO NICE! She is so friendly and personable. She autographed my logbook with a fun message and gave me a Mystic sticker. What a co-winkydink!!! That was definitely a very special day. Thx KAY!!

Awesome interview. Kay is an inspiration. So skilled and professional. I’m hard pressed to believe she ever has a bad day. The interviewer (did he introduce himself) was also terrific. Such a smooth conversational style yet still covering all the relevant topics. Outstanding presentation skills from both! Well done!

Great to see Kay on this channel. The content about the production was very interesting. I am a video hobbyist and do short production and although the quality of her videos (especially the audio) is so great I had almost not though about how hard this would be. My video editing software has a 'audio normalization' AI function it does a pretty good job of keeping the audio at the same level... her videos keep pulling you back in. Thanks to both of you for what you do. I have followed Pilot Institute and learned a lot for 101 training for my drones.

My dad was a pilot and I grew up wanting to follow in his footsteps. Unfortunately, my vision prevented me from becoming a pilot so I still carried the torch the best I could by getting my A&P license. I'm currently a T.I. on an army maintenance contract and I love it.

I found this interview fascinating. I will say, I completely agree with Kay in that, I made my initial videos for Me, since Flight training at the beginning was like drinking from a fire hose. I couldn’t distill what my instructor was saying, while experiencing all that was happening in the cockpit. That’s why I decided to start my RUclips videos from the first day of training. Actually, I started my RUclips videos and channel before I started Flight trading. But she is correct, I would hear things during training, only to realize that I didn’t really catch what my Flight instructor was saying. The videos really helped me, and I hope that they helped others as well. Definitely a great interview.

What Kay said neat the end was exactly on how I began with steps of pilot training and was because of 1 of My friends wanting to get His hours in to advance to Commercial Aviation & by fuelling a Boeing 737 as well as other aircraft's with ending up as His Co-Pilot, but could never afford it to continue for full training as a pilot. Noe at 75, I can forget about it but still do have the interest, wishing that I never dropped out at the time I had the chance.

The question about women in aviation. I am a 100 percent advocate for it. I am a Veteran, and they pay for me to attend college, allowing me to interact with young men and women trying to become pilots. I found very early on that the young ladies in their early 20s, all want to have kids within a couple of years. After spending that much time and money to get someone to become a commercial airline pilot, knowing that in a couple of years, they will be gone on maternity leave and many will not come back causes the airlines to pause.

We cannot get away from biology as humans. It puts a pinch in a workplace if any employee goes out on leave, and all the more if it is a highly skilled job. If one of the ladies on the assembly line goes out on leave when she has a kid it is not quite as difficult to get someone in there to do her job, but if one of the female engineers is out on family leave it is rather more difficult. And all the more with how extended family leave is in some states (within the USA) and countries.

I very much enjoy her channel and all her videos. That acknowledged, just curious - and it is admittedly none of my business - but from "paycheck-to-paycheck" to OWNING an AIRCRAFT .... seemingly - at least, to me - an enormous mental disconnect.

For Kay- on your audio levels not being consistent, when in post if you use Premiere you can merge all your audio clips then select it and use normalize to about -10db or -6db :) rather than having to edit each little clip/segment of audio

WOW Kay just mentioned the guy at the Lufkin airport. As you are in to great hamburgers, I lived in Lufkin for a while and the absolute BEST hamburger you will ever eat is at Rays' in Lufkin. LONG term family business. When I lived there (amd may still do it) they are a true 'old style' drive in where you pull under a cover and the wait staff come to your car to take your order. They then bring it back to your car, you eat and turn your lights on for them to come get the tray on your window. They are right across the street from Whataburger. Next time you are in Lufkin try them out if you haven't discovered them yet. ABSOLUTELY best hamburger ever.. its called simply the 'Rays Special'

I cant believe any student would ask " why do I need to know all these systems?" We really dont require pilots to know nearly enough as it stands now. We live in a world where most people struggle to check the oil in a car and check air pressure. Very scary to think about how many pilots we have now flying people around that dont have basic knowledge of the airframe and powerplant they are operating.

We need to stop "trying to get" women in aviation, but phrase it like you did...making it accessible and helping them realise it is possible, yes....but don't try to force a change in diversity just because. Women are very different personality types than what a technical vocation typically attracts, and that is perfectly normal. There is nothing wrong with an imbalance. Why are we not trying to get more men into flight attendant positions in the same manner? Or more straight male costume designers? Because it just doesn't fit our personality! And that's OK too. The biggest roadblock to aviation are: Money, and Risk. I got my PPL, tried working on CPL (and was very successful....top PPL at my flight school).....but it was money and life circumstance which held me back. 4th time was the charm. 9/11, recession, mom's health, Covid......I'm done with flying now, and the cost is close to double of what it was when I started. Borrowing money in Canada is not like in USA....but borrowing money in any sense is usually a bad and more expensive idea. Doing that, plus paying for an airplane, and all the travel, is financial insanity.

Your comment about woman in aviation reminded me about when I was in high school there was a news comentator ( a woman )who asked the chief of police why they sid not hire more woman. He said you can not hire people who don't apply for the job. That stuck with me ever since. That seems like what you are saying.

Why do we "want" to get more women in aviation? Are they better pilots? Better question: Are there any barriers in front of women pursuing an aviation career or interest and how do we eliminate them?

She in doing this one aspect makes us impressed and confident her media is very credible and worthy of our time.
Perhaps a question here, have you considered the tasks of being a delivery agent/currier while in your ventures? Pick up a few extra while traveling.
