love it when they smash the topwater plug on an unintentional pause. it's a reward for getting out there and doing everything right. in the spring when the water is cool i will deadstick for 5-10 seconds somtimes, and have days where i will get more on the pause than i do on the retrieve.
Thanks Bama - I feel like your videos are just for me. Will be out on the pier Sunday evening and Monday all day. Just need a few hours away from everything.
Enjoyed the video as always even though the fishing was slow. We all have those kind of fishing days when it's slow and time to get out of the summer heat. Thank you, sir. Keep safe and tight lines always.
I just started looking at your videos like 3 days ago man and i gotta say great content. Im in Florida and i appreciate how in depth you talk about the lures and the rigs you use. 🙏 thank you
I’m gonna be honest I found this channel a few days ago, and I lost my dog yesterday and this channel has really made that a little easier seeing you fish my old spots. I haven’t seen you fish the best spot in gulf shores though. It’s a spot where you can catch 5lb speckled trout and 30 inch reds in the same day. I’m not gonna say it here because I don’t wanna burn the spot that much, but since you have helped me through a hard time I will give it to you. If you want it message me or leave a comment on my last video and I’ll tell you.
Steve i am new to saltwater fishing and i would very much like for you to do a show about tackle boxes bait wells sand or pier carts etc it would be very helpful a good show for a rainy day lol 😆
Love the single hooks, improves trout releases big time when I throw twitch baits for them. That ferry has saved me a trip or two for sure! Can’t believe you didn’t pick up a flounder right there on the DBs, that’s how it goes. Slow day but a great video, that’s fishing 🎣
@@BamaSaltwater yeah I bet that’s high trafficked right there, know a few guys that fish there themselves. We gotta get up soon man, maybe after rodeo weekend!
Good video. I think my favorite part was your Gomer Pyle imitation with "Gooolllly". You are definitely a man from the south with your dialect. I thought a had a Southern drawl, but you got me beat. If you haven't watched any John Skinner video's I would recommend them. He catches fluke while you are targeting southern flounder. Keep up the vids. I'm enjoying them a lot.
I caught a 20inch spec in a school of small bluefish right there at the ferry terminal at fort morgan last weekend. We dodged the rain most of the day and that spec was the only keeper fish we caught lol. 7ft medium mod-fast falcon coastal rod and a diawa coastal bait caster throwing a mirrolure soft dine
When you cast lures from the shore is there a specific place in the water that you target? I know where to look for fish in the rivers but the sea is almost completely unknown to me.
bama could you make a video on the best lures/baits and how to fish them for deeper waters? I'm a freshwater fishermen and I just got a 24' ft VIP Center Console, and I'm wanting to get into deep sea fishing. Much appreciated! Videos are awesome as always! (Also im off the coast of south carolina, not sure if that could effect the setup you'd use.)
fished Sebastian inlet in Florida and surrounding areas for years. First switched to single hooks and finally no hooks on jetty and beach for Jacks and Blues . Nothing pisses off other anglers like seeing you get a "hook up " without hooks . You get the thrill of the hit and then the art is seeing how close you can get to shore or jetty without fish releasing. Try it it is the greatest and doesn't injure the fish. The popper was one of my favorites along with the Atom 40.
I love doing that, it's fun sometimes to just get the strike and not hurt/harm the fish in the process. Heck, I almost always just like to accomplish getting the bite and anything after that is extra haha.
Use the freshest, bigger baits you can find. I like heavy Fluorocarbon leaders over wire, you get more bites. Find a beach that has plenty of action (bait, birds, troughs or drop offs, etc) Good luck
I dont eat any fish out of that area, or fish that area for that matter. Just my opinion, but entirely too much industrial stuff around for me. BTW, when you gonna have your charter up and running?
Smart dude changing out those hooks. Get your lure back and the fish doesn’t have a face full of treble hooks. Thinking ahead. Cool video dude
100%, learn from experience hahaha. Thank you
I got to be honest you are probably my favorite fishing creator keep it up
Heck yeah , appreciate it
@@BamaSaltwater it’s true
Him and Fishaholic fishing.

@@oakcrew2542 well technically he is a RUclips creator and he is also a angler but angler creator doesn’t sound as nice as fishing creator
You and Richard Gene the fishing machine are the two best fishing RUclips channels

Shows that resting occasionally brings out the opportunist in the fish
One thing I love abt this man is he responds to comments. We appreciate it!!!! Thanks!!!!
Nothing compares to topwater fishing; fresh or saltwater!
I 100% agree. It's the most exciting experience
That shark blowup was awesome!!!!
Love your videos 👍👍 I gotta try throwing one of those big poppers when I'm down there next time!!

You should do a video on giggung flounder,we used to do good around the west beach pass lagoon side in the spring and fall.

Very nice informative video. I have a question. What size is your single replacement hook that you put on the popper?
What size inlines do you choose to use with the yozuri popper in the 5 inch or the one your using?
Love the videos .. Taking my son the Gulf Pier tomorrow .. He is checking out some of your pier vids for ideas ..
Good luck! Should be good.

How did you release the shark? I am new at fishing in the gulf and would like to know what to do if I accidently catch one.
I was just at that launch today and do you think a buck tail jig would do good for the state park pier
First love the videos I went fishing at the state park pear
Awesome !
can you do some more sharkfishing? Those are my favorite brother. Keep up the Great work!
Definitely have some more vids planned for sharks!

I’m trying to go to south Florida to catch some tarpon and sharks. Any recommendations for location?
I've never seen a shark tag a top water lure. Thats amazing. Is this normal. Hahaaahaha
You should try and do some fresh water bass fishing that would be epic to see on this channel

Digging the beard.
What’s your advice on van staal would a 100 or 150 be better for king Mackrel?

There's some big ole kings on the Atlantic Coast for sure
I've done the ferry. Saves about 1.5 hours depending on where you are going. But it gets PACKED in the summer!! Super cool and worth it.
That line can get long , but so can the traffic on 59 or beach express haha!
Topwater is my absolute favorite. Every Mag popper i get i lose it to a Shark. But the Roosta Popper seems to be my go to
What size replace hook do you like for the 130F?
