Replacement arrived!By the way, I did forget to mention that the original lure did have a decent strike however as most anglers will attest you can get a hit ruclips.net/user/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 and fish will hang on and release lure. I used the replacement lure yesterday and ran thru a Shimano Waxwing, Kastmaster, Bobber (set to sink). I found the does run deep (I casting on the flats 3.5'). Make sure you adjust your rate of retrieve and rod tip angle (up) to prevent getting snagged on bottom. Used it a couple of times and action was very lifelike (looked like local bait fish for trevally), craftsmanship very good....however eyeball fell out. I asked for replacement and it is on it's way! It was very easy to change out treble to single inline hook.
Back in June here in eastern Kentucky, I caught 24 bass in 40 mins on my local lake. I was about to head home after I good morning of fishing, I was putting my rods up in the boat and had drifted off the point I’d last fished, And was out in 80 feet deep water and a topwater feeding frenzy broke out right behind me. The only rod I had on the deck still had that same pearl Googan Blooper tied on. I literally was catching them every cast. I stopped counting around 15 fish, But too top it off, the last fish I caught was a 8 1/2 pound LMB. I was just 1 of those right time, right place scenarios..
Having fished multiple s in different sizes and colors, ruclips.net/user/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 this is by far my favorite. One thing to be aware of is the sided willow blade. One side is silver and the other is the green/orange shown. This is not bad, just unconventional. In terms of fishing, I have found the lure works just fine without a tail like a craw or shad. That addition is up to you. Also, the hook part where you attach the swivel snap or tie the line is a problem on baits these days, since it's able to slide up and down. However this lure seems to be tight enough that that doesn't happen often, and you can solve it by putting a thin slice of medical tube over the hook before attaching the line. Like others have said, it's really magic on a good windy day.
Poppers are the only top water I will throw on fluoro. The reason being is the fluoro does sink, so when I go to pop it, it get pulled under a little big and gives me a bit deeper pop
The farther out your popper is from the boat the more chance of a bigger bass that will hit it. That's why I pop it, and feed more line out before popping again.
Absolutely love your company, lures, advice videos! Please explain line weight, location, season, time of day, and show more of your rod technique with lure in water or detailed on how we as anglers should fish this dynamic lures. Thanks again for your time and talents! (Patrick, new Angler in Northern Illinois).
A right handed spin cast is Left hand retrieve. A right handed bait caster is right hand retrieve. So he is still right handed. I personally use a left hand retrieve baitcaster even though im right handed.
i learned heaps. bought my first poppers like one week ago, took it down to the lake, had no idea how to work it! i cast into the middle of the lake and let it sit for a couple of seconds, then i pulled two thre times and " WHOOOSSHHH!! " a big beautiful pike striked at it twice " but i made the mistake of counter pulling, so i did not catch it. but hey! it was my first time trying to use a popper and it was the first cast, so i'm optimistic about using poppers in the future :) after watching this video i really wanna step up my game!
Anybody looking for a couple simple tips to great bass fishing. Go early. Being on the water at sunrise is prime fishing. Wait for a cooler evening stretch into mornings. 60’s in the morning for 2 or 3 days then hitting the lake or pond and you will catch more fish than you know what to do with. I live in north/mid mo and it’s august right now. 545 to 745 8 am is prime top water right now.
I appreciate the video ! This has nothing against you but I wish in fishing there wasn’t such a thing about catching little or tinier fishes. A fish is a fish and I’m happy with a pound less than a pound , tiny blue gills , I do it for my mental health so a catch is a catch and I don’t do it for show. I just do it for myself.
The fluoro only matters when your popper *barely* floats. If it has a lot of buoyancy you can use fluoro no problem. When you pull it hard then it'll even dip down a bit making a slightly bigger pop.
I’ve only caught one fish ever using artificial lures. I usually just get them snagged. I guess I’ll try this because you don’t have to worry about snagging.
#2 topwater/crankbait lure shown might have potential higher gar fish hookup ratio due to its submersion as a crank bait function. Let us know the link when #2 lure is available on the retail market for purchase.
The prank is my confidence bait. I fish it a little different. I run it with a little pop, just like break the water. Then I slap slack like a jerkbait. Let it float up and repeat I have caught some hogs. Mystery tackle box came the other day with a 3” prrank. I was excited but it's garbage. I like the original way better.
Love the popper the last time I hit the private pond this owner lets me use I caught 18 bass in 2 hours and today had the crank bait and pulled in 5 in 20 minutes 😂😂it’s a lil gem
If the ten inch bass or pushing the smaller fish close to the shore, then the larger bass will be further away from the shore waiting for the 5 to 10" bass to feed on. A big bass, 14 to 18 inches, will never feed on minnows or shad that the ten inch and smaller bass are feeding on. Bigger fish need to feed on larger fish to maintain their energy levels. For a 14" bass to chase around minnows that the bass uses more energy to chase compared to going after slowly and bigger baits is not efficient.
Lmao what are you even saying. Everything they have made they have tweeked and designed to their specific wants/needs. Not too mention every other bait company does the exact same thing so your statement is complete bs. I can name 10 brands that sell their own form of a popper. I dont see you talking about them. Plus they get attention for a reason bud. They are and have been changing the game. Those on top always aquire hate 🤷♂️
@@rgr798 for starters im 30, which really doesn't matter as this is just common sense. If you hate on a company for releasing a modified version of an "established bait" then you should hate on every bait brand out there bud. I have no problem with you not liking googan baits, but your reasoning is asinine.
I can’t see anything you are doing. I’m 4 minutes in and can’t see your rod or reel. Better camera angles please. Can’t see the popper 40 feet away we are trying to watch the rod.
I understand it could be because you're trying to demonstrate the use of the top water. But I never understand why people want to reel in fish so fast. Not even a chance to enjoy catching the fish. Enjoy the fight take your time. I always work my bait back to the kayak. Got plenty of fish 3ft off the boat
Light line. And adjustment on your reel. Heavier your line is the tougher it is if you have a light lure. If you have a heavy lure and light line..it will cause a back lash. You have to match line and lure.
You just caught more fish in 9 minutes that I could catch in a month
Some places are more active then other I believe anyone can catch a fish
Me in a year
I’d find a new spot then. Some areas have more fish, the time of day, weather/water temp, amount of wind, etc. all play a part.
I feel that
Shit i fish in my 3 acre pond. It’s stocked with will all sorts of fish lol

You caught 24 but stopped counting after 15. Gotcha

MTB doesn’t always have great inshore tackles but always fun to open their box and find that one or two great baits.

Wow needed this. Usually fish poppers way to fast
Slow is the key with them for sure!
Just bought some poppers can’t wait to use them this weekend!
Rebel pop-r p60 fish all day!!
The farther out your popper is from the boat the more chance of a bigger bass that will hit it. That's why I pop it, and feed more line out before popping again.
Thanks for the demo! I’m newer to bass fishing and have been working these lures all wrong. Still have caught some but want to catch more.

You fish left and right handed? That’s talent lol I can’t even cut my steak with my left hand let alone reel a fish in correctly 😂
A right handed spin cast is Left hand retrieve. A right handed bait caster is right hand retrieve. So he is still right handed. I personally use a left hand retrieve baitcaster even though im right handed.
love bassin bill hes the man put him on this channel more please
You just earned a new subscriber. Really great tips and proof that they work. Great video.
I love a good popper!! 🔥
Just caught my first topwater fish on a popper after using your tips! Thanks for this video!
can’t see the rod action bro
Good tips bro..thank you...
Nice "dry hand" on that fish! Really does the protective slime layer a lot of good!
It's a bass... it's fine..
Dude that was the best tutorial i ever experienced
Me: *puts popper on 6 in steel leader and has zero effect on action*
I want to try the Berkley Bullet popper . I just started using a popper a couple weeks ago and not sure I’m using it right. Needed this video
Can’t wait for my Blooper to arrive!!!
Gotta love that topwater action!
Great! Watching here in Manila 👍
thank you for the tips

Are you using the high vis line only or is there a liter that's different? Thanks.
Hi vis braid but I colored the end with a black sharpie so it blended in more 👍🏼
Can I use this method from the beach great video by the way

“Did you assume my gender”
“I am a melted mercury cell”
🤙😎👍 Nice one mate.
what's the line strength,or pounds? what knot would you recommend for those poppers?
Would I need split shot while using a top water lure?
My line gets so tangled next throws cause there's no resistance reeling in the popper do u have any tips
Awsome video

Lucky rich folks who can afford boats.
Finally, SOMEONE WHO AGREES WITH ME
What about hard working people who afford to buy boats? 😂👌
That’s the same as lucky rich people.
No it's not buddy.
is someone mad that someone can work to be successful lmao you can fish without a boat you don't need anything except a hook and line.
Is it possible to use it on spinning reel😅
I was looking for a tip for poppers yesterday 😂
Those popper baits ain't no joke
Hey love your videos I'm brand new to freshwater fishing question what size hook should I use for a 5-inch Senkos bait... Fishing from the bank..
I use a 5 when I Texas rig. 3 when wacky. But Everyone has their preference.

Is a bait caster necessary? I mean I’m sure the fish aren’t smart enough to tell the type and brand of rod you have, but still, does it help?
Hey that's my buddy bill👍
I love bass. So easy to remove the hook
I just had gars attacking my popper but I couldn’t get any set. What do I do??
I’ve only caught one fish ever using artificial lures. I usually just get them snagged. I guess I’ll try this because you don’t have to worry about snagging.
never seen anyone only use the reel to work a popper. I'm 100% about using the rod and getting that BLOOP

Which lake is this
Man he really likes to advertise the googan squad blooper

bruh caught more fish in the first 5 mins of this video than I have in the past 2 weeks
I caught a walleye a few years ago on a popper lol
I need some for my birthday
Love the popper the last time I hit the private pond this owner lets me use I caught 18 bass in 2 hours and today had the crank bait and pulled in 5 in 20 minutes 😂😂it’s a lil gem
Helped me a lot
what lake are you on??

When the hell does he breathe? Great angling!
The key to successful bass fishing is clear, calm conditions. If it's cloudy or windy just stay home and watch fishing videos
That’s no fun!
I mostly fish in lagoons with spinners or jerk baits. the position of the sun and the time of the day is helpful for fishing
What fishing knot is he using? 🤔
Hey
So sick of googan squad and the fact that they get so much attention just making knockoffs of established bait
Lmao what are you even saying. Everything they have made they have tweeked and designed to their specific wants/needs. Not me thinking this was a video of a fisherman on poppers 💀
When you're fishing for bass and need to relax your butthole
I swear Upstate NY sucks for onshore fishing..No matter what popper or frogs we use u get nothing in 3 hours, whether in morning or evening!!
Ever heard of a swivel if so you don't got to tie line 24/7
Dude you could throw a piece of foam with a hook at get a hook up here
"Here's how to work it..." with the lure invisible in the distance. Utterly useless instruction.
No lmao
😂😂😒
Rod be out of frame also 😅
Plop popper
Doesn't work on open water. Turns back to docks haha
Still confused how he can throw a small popper on a bait caster
Light line. And adjustment on your reel. Heavier your line is the tougher it is if you have a light lure. If you have a heavy lure and light line..it will cause a back lash. You have to match line and lure.
Pretty much a wake bait
Popper
Thanks marry for keeping us financially educated! No matter how bad the economy gets, I still make over $13,000 every week...
Dam bro get me a job with u
Did not see the popper working and take a breath when talking !
3rd!!
Catch big pike top water
WTF IS GIVE IT A POP?!?!
first!
Googan crap.
So stupid to cast with the right hand and then change for handling... merica....
I mean, he's catching fish ain't he? So who cares 🤷♂️
Umm... yeah.. lake fishing.. i almost caught fish on a cigar... sadly i didn't have hook attached on it.. on the sea water different story
