- This review goes over the exterior, interior, and a drive of my brand new 2023 Dodge Challenger SXT. 2023 is the last year of the Challenger we all know and love and you can get yourself into one of these machines for a great deal like I feel I did.

I hate it because they don't offer a manual transmission. I wont drive an auto.
I think part of this has to do with horsepower inflation. Twenty years ago 300 hp would have been impressive. Now with the Scatpacks and Hellcats, the SXT's engine looks tame.

@@fortheloveofnoise the AutoStick feature lets you drive in Manual mode - it's great, and i'm surprised many of the reviews on YT do not share this - same with Sport mode
I just got one just like this with awd. I came from a hemi ram because the newer ones are too expensive and I don't miss the V8 power because this car hauls with the V6! Congrats!

Awesome ride and Congrats!! My Son bought a 23 blacktop in sublime. Couple of corrections. 7” screen no performance pages. My son ordered the 8.4 screen still has no performance pages. 0 to 60 in 6.0 . For all the 3.6 bashers this is a fantastic powerplant. It makes more power than 80% of all classic muscle cars. The SXT is a great looking car and an amazing value. Great looks, power, fuel economy and comfort.
Thank you and congrats to your son! I’m really frustrated with no performance pages on the SXT. How is it not enough money for that. I love the power, handling, looks, sound with my catback system, and overall driving experience. Unless someone is a mopar fan or really knows cars well, they aren’t going to know if I’m driving a hellcat or SXT which is another thing I love about this. They just see an awesome car. Good buy man. I got the SXT and love it. It’s all about having a great looking vehicle you enjoy to ride and making it yours. As a Veteran, I actual love the ball busting on not having the V8 as I give zero fucks about other peoples egos or penis sizes or lack there of. 😂👌

Bought a new 11' Challenger Rallye. Nappa leather, 305hp/W580, crazy fast and comfy. Fast-forward to last week...the LAST new RT Plus Blacktop 6-speed in GoMango! Such amazing machines; great review. The 3.6 is a modern-day 318 4BBL, and an excellent engine.

I have a red 50th Anniversary Edition V6 Challenger GT and I love it. I had a Scat Pack Charger in 2017, and although I do miss that sound, I don't miss the gas cost and the added insurance cost. My car is "fast enough" for my personal needs as it is my every day driver. Don't let the HEMI boys get to you!

I got a 22 challenger gt in hellraisin purple. I love it. I also discovered if you run good gas in it it gets 30 mpg or more on a regular basis.

Great video. For those who smirk at a v6, that plant has more power than my first hotrod I bought new, a 1972 Duster340. I have one question. The wife and I are looking at used ones. She is only 4'10" tall. Our current RAV4 has a power seat that raises and lowers. Does the SXT have a power driver's seat and if it does, can it raise and lower? Thanks.

I Have a 2022 Challenger GT AWD. its a daily driver all year car. When its raining and snowing you will be glad you have the AWD... the higher trims are for racing, hobby cars. The SXT and GT are for people who want the look on their daily driver. V6 is not slow either, its actually faster than youll ever need it to be for driving. Racing it would need a RIPP Charger which you can do if you want... voids the warranty though. One last thing I want to mention, the front GT badge can be removed very easily, its just a clip you can take it off by hand and snap it back on if you want.

I got the same car on octane red. The V6 has some great pickup. It handles great and its comfy. I use it as my daily driver which is great for gas. So much fun spinning out the rear tires too!

V6 Challenger owner here. 2019 sxt blackout as well. There are so many mods u can do to ur car it's insane..... But the absolute best $299 I ever spent on my Challenger, it's with out a doubt a little plug n play device called a PEDAL COMMANDER.... yes there are other brands that are cheaper but they're just that.... Cheaper! If you think sport mode is cool, try putting sport plus mode along with the cars sport mode n you'll get triple the acceleration. Just look up those who have installed one in their car and once you see their reaction, you can't get the item fast enough. Get one bro. It'll change your life hands down. I use mine everyday.... Never turn it off. Makes ur v6 feel n act like a true v8. Ur welcome.... Thank me later

So I’m an old 72 year old duffer, I had a 70 340 cuda. I now own a 2022 challenger gt, I have to say the 22 is a much more refined car and is almost as fast as the 340 cuda was and has air conditioning and is much more comfortably granted it doesn’t sound as good as the v8 and the lope of the cam. But oh well I love the challenger, just my two cents.

Just traded in my 2018 AWD Knuckle White GT For a 2017 RWD Grey SRT392 and I love both cars if your not looking for crazy power and want to save a nice bit on gas the GT and SXT are great options there zippy cars and at the end of the day they still mopars and look amazing Mopar or No car 🔥

I got my ‘22 dodge challenger F8 Green like 4 months ago people do ask why not the v8 (price is way different) but I love my v6 and it drives amazing the red is clean ASF i wanted red but couldn’t find one so I went with my second favorite color

There is not hate for V6s (you mentioned it somewhere).
A V6 is a huge and powerful engine by itself. You probably produce more power and torque than the corresponding V8s back in the late 60s-70s

I enjoy my 2023 Chally SXT Plus in F8 green with black out package. Great info on the lights, I was not aware that they were not already set on. What are your thoughts on engine cover? Still contemplating whether to purchase one or not. Your engine sounds great!

my white blackout AWD 2023LC(last call) I've own with only 22 miles on it. because it was a V6 it was parked in the deep back back parking area for the dealer, so it was a great deal too. I've got on up to 812 miles now and I'm very happy with this car. and 6.8 on track gage and still very new, with good MPGs @ 29 respectfully that's city, freeway. great looking and great car! I work at a Dodge dealership in n. Cali and talking to the mechanic's that theses V6, 3.6 VVT are great engines that have long life if taken care of correctly. I've seen the newer ones in jeeps and Cherokees Caravans rentals etc and challengers as well in CHP Chargers cars and theses engines had ruff 150k+++miles on them and still going strong. very impress from these engines.

@@krig6ix since the car was in the back dealership lot and was really forgotten it pri$ed at 41,300 but had a time stay was going on 5 months I came in and asked about the deal, so after taking it home for 2weeks and liken it and a respectable down$$ I got a $11,200 discount and free body warranty added on. Now 2024 and only 1,060 miles I'm very much happy about this Challenger still turns heads next back up to Lake Tahoe for a test ride, it's home will be in LT I used to respect Mopar now not anymore. But words to the wise the E systems in Cherokee's, jeeps and Ram and even the Pacifica vans suck always problem very new and Dodge always takes a big hit at the dealership. Stay away from these systems. Really all manufacturers are having a hard time with reliability and I mean all Lexus Honda Subaru Ford yeah stay away Cali is stupid for forcing the people to buy them.....

So, what was the exact price you paid all in, down the road ( dealer fees, registration, etc)? What was sticker price? My 2023 Charger GT PLUS listed for $43,025. My down the road price was $41,224. Just curious.
All in I was $39,500 out the door. My dealer only had allocation left for SXT’s, otherwise I would’ve considered the GT heavily. Although, I like the SXT hood more so I’m happy with mine. Great to hear your out the door price wasn’t too bad. You managed to get a 2023 for $1,800 less than sticker?
I just calculated how much I saved compared to the MSRP ( sticker price), BEFORE all added on legalities and dealership fees, I saved $5,068.

I'm going to get a used GT AWD fully loaded but want mine in pastel pink with 2 racing stripes in black down the entire car. Thats in 2025 though can't do it this year due to SRS and being off work 2 months. AWD is a must for me so can't do a scat they suck in teh snow just like my current Camaro. nice show friend :D

I mean... people are gonna see the hood, and ride height and see its a v6, unless its a pre-2018 R/T that has the SXT hoodscoops. But own it, it's your car. I started with my Charger GT, and I'm already in my Daytona R/T. Possibly getting into a widebody by the end of this year.

I took my friend for a ride recently and he has a scat charger, he thought mine was an R/T up til we got back, the v6 will leave other brands v8 at the light.. it’s faster than people think.

Just done some very Extensive research and found out the Dodge challenger is like the Toyota of Muscle cars. Expect 300k miles EASY 150k-200k

Is it a bad idea to get this in RWD if you live up north?

Unless you go to the track, you don't need anything more. 300 horsepower for a daily driver is more than enough. Plus I heard the v8s have that cylinder deactivation, and the v6 does not.

In my opinion yes. Partly because I’m just not a fan of the Camaro design. I think a ZL1 1LE looks phenomenal but not so much the bottom trims.
