“It’s Alright”

His real name isn't Cuban. He is of Romanian descent
Boss level is getting rid of your titles and being personable. This is why like Mark. 👍
He killed it with that counter offer, that was so impressive.
El stupido
Yeah, win win. In end mark got what he wanted, and it looks a little less disrespectful to prior investors.
Ice in his veins.

As someone from Africa, that product is what every household needs . Both rural and urban, make the lighting strong and you will make a fortune in third-world countries. You have just solved our charging and lighting problem. Hope to see your products soon
You could contact Shark Tank and get involved with brokering a deal. Perhaps your local Chamber of Commerce and your government can provide assistance and information.
I really don't think so I have seen tons of such experiments in different expos and they do same kind of work like converting mechanical energy or other forms of energy into electrical and all they have failed miserably
Exactly, their product needs to be improved upon I think.
The power output I simply not enough to use for lights.
Take my money!
@@punittripathi3355 unfortunately, this is very true. Historically, all the attempts concerning this genre have failed, for numerous reasons. But hey, I'm hoping someone changes the game and succeeds.
The guy on the left, "Mr. Cuban we appreciate it" and Cuban said, "Mark". I love it! That sounds like a guy who seems to be grounded, though unber wealthy!!
I missed it the first time. He's always my favorite shark.
Woah, didn’t notice that. Nice catch.
that little comment was beautiful, respectful kid and great ideas
thought the kid gave a perfect presentation, countered everything they threw at him with a well put together educated response, the sharks know when a product walks in the door if they are going to invest, they just mess with these poor people and find it fun lol
The only thing I don’t like about mark is his “now” deals when he doesn’t let the others speak
I love Kevin immediately assuming he understands the technology better than they do.
You learn this stuff in college in any basic level physics lecture. Not super complicated
What technology? 🤣🤣🤣🤣 This is garbage! 🤣🤣🤣
@@NiquidFox We learned in middle school. It's (in physics) the same basic principle as an A/C unit. But by creating the difference in temp externally you can capture the energy as opposed using electricity (energy) to create the difference in temp.
Well he was quick to understand the basics of their little device and he is usually very sharp
@@teecee4459 says a bum on youtube comments LMAO
i liked that they stood up for their other earlier investors. he was about to say it would be unfair to other stakeholders to sell so much of their company at such a discount. i also think mark picked up on that and actually made him respect them more
But again it's Mark freaking Cuban he brings with him an empire
@@dv9239 An empire of products lost to midnight commercial sales and checkout line discounts sure.
@@dv9239 no its basically never a good idea to do it, the sharks ask for it because its super.predatory and makes them the most money but doesnt matter who it is, the sharks would never go down in valuation willingly because its a stupid move for a company
That was a phenomenal negotiation. They didn't listen to all the noise from those who weren't willing to put their money up and they got a brilliant deal.
Yeah seemed so odd for other sharks to jump in and negotiate a lower cost for Mark
“Mr Cuban we appreciate it”
“It’s mark”
I love when Mark makes deals, I can just smell the gold
I like to see that too, it seems he's pulled to tech products a lot. I love it
"Mr Cuban..."
"...It's Mark"
What a classy guy.
That is a remarkable product. It could be sold with light sources in Africa. Those boys are good negotiators as well. Congratulations on landing a shark! That is a great resource for your growing business!
What a rubbish. It won't work in africa, maybe 20 years ago. Solar panels are 10x more efficient for basically the same price as one pot lol.
@@mateuszg6042 not at night. Not as portable. Nobody is lugging batteries around either.
@@steeplesheeple I am first generation Ethiopian American and I lived 5 years in Africa in the 80's....when he said lights...I my eyes bugged out with excitement at the idea and it's potential. A portable and potable power source. I mean Africa, the rest of the developing world and the military, search and rescue services...the possibilities amazing.
I mean charging your phone while making some coffee or tea....while camping or during a blackout! What more could you want?

I think Mark saw the potential when people in Africa will use it just for light. That opens a whole window of opportunity. I think doing good there meant the risky investment.
He had a homer donuts moment

Usually Mark sets the terms of the deal and the entrepreneur takes it. These guys did the exact opposite
In the end of day Mark get what he wanted .
Mark knew it was fair. And also the value overall these boys would generate is astronomical.
@@IHXnumber1 yeah, in the end the ratio of risk to earning is way way worth it for mark for 250k.
thats what "counter offer" means
"They want lights" is a powerful moment
Probably one of the best ideas I've seen on the show. I mean the sharks have literally made deals with people whose product is a flower bouquet that brides can hide their booze while they walk down the aisle (seriously..look up 'flasky flowers'). This has actual humanitarian value.
This is brilliant for a few reasons and it's possibly one of the best concepts/deals in Shark Tank history. Even though they're not natural born public speakers, these guys are clearly extremely intelligent - the science behind the product but also the vision and innovation to translate it to a useable product displays this.
Secondly, you can see makes engagement as soon as they start presenting. He's not laughing or cracking jokes. From the get-go he sees the potential in this product and starts running numbers in his head. I honestly think the other Sharks see how serious Mark is on this product and don't even bother making offers because in reality if marks wants something - he will get it. They're combined net worth of $500mil (give or tak) is spare change compared to Mark's $5.2 billion.
Finally, and this may be an ignorant and assumptive statement, but the reason Mark offers what would seem a somewhat ambitious offer is because he sees the genuine value of this product - not only dollar wise but innovation wise. And as a result instead of investing nominal amounts into projects that he wont even notice going into his bank account he thinks this could be a game changer. Again, I'm just assuming but as someone who has had some degree of success in investing in different markets over 25 years (much, much less than the Sharks of course) I see this approach often. A simple start with an ambitious offer so even after negotiation you'll still be left with an advantageous deal, assuming they are serious about your investment.
This product would be great for tiny homes
1st: COMPETITOR
This products needs an isobutane stove to work. There's already BIOLITE that exists and the cool thing is that it does NOT need any isobutane. You simply add wood and that's it! Besides that BioLite won't lose efficiency when heat goes up while that GADGET does. BioLite is well established and these guys will have a hard time to gain any market share.
2nd: REALITY CHECK...
That gadget may be useful only to a limited audience. Cellphone batteries are better and better and we all have power packs. Their gadget will recharge ONLY when cooking. Do you see anyone assembling the stove, then using water this just to recharge their phone when you can simply take your power pack and recharge anything you want.
3rd BiOLIte vs that GADGET
With BioLite you only need wood to make it work. You can find wood anywhere when camping (90% of the time). The gadget needs isobutane..no gas, no charging.
4nd BAD DESIGN!!!!
The connector is right on the side of the pot. DOH!!!! This means:
a) you can't use it over a camp fire
b) there is a good chance that it'll melt even with the isobutane stove
3) you plug the USB cable vertical from top to bottom. The cable will create a tension on the connector and...
5th EMERGING MARKET.. THIRD WORLD COUNTRIES
Really? LOL These guys have no clue what this is all about. Not the kids, not the "sharks". It has been proven a thousand times over the past that high technologies FAIL in these countries. Why? because they break then they discard it. Now, ALL humanitarian organizations teaches locals how to do things with what they have on hands. Like to dig a well properly, to make a stove and use wood and or cows ding as a fuel. They also use BioLite since it works with wood! So this gadget has ZERO chance to perform there.
Nothing brilliant about this. You could put a headlamp generator on your bicycle and transfer much more power than this nonsense. A small steam engine would be much more efficient than this laughable nonsense. I can draw you something up in less than 5 minutes that would be more efficient and more powerful and less bulky.
@@DiabloOutdoors LOL 4nd
@@baileealligood7862 you sound salty u haven’t gotten the chance to work with mark and this nonsense make more money that you will ever make in your life. Imagine you have no sun and you can just light a fire and burn that while having electricity in camping worst it’s snowing hard. Shut up and appreciate the kids hard work and effort u useless piece of garbage
Kevin: there’s only one shark tank
Australia shark tank: are we a joke to you
Dragon's den: yes, to all of us.
They came there looking for only 1 particular shark. And they got him.
In March, 2020, the company was acquired for an undisclosed amount by Thrasio. Caleb and David remain with the company as part of the product development team. Their first project was a bathroom spray.
Fast forward to August, 2021 and the company no longer makes pots. They still make their Luminoodle lights. The company also makes TV lights, stick on outdoor lights and plasma lighters. So much for illuminating the third-world.
Lol
The pot thing probably got killed by some competitor xD
Mark probably made money on this anyways
Probably spun off as part of acquisition. Hey I developed the unicycle and we are experimenting with two wheels
A larger outfit sees this and says let's buy it and develop motorcycles.
Cuban gets attention.
Another investor says ok I'll give you ten million for the whole company.
You pay off everything and everyone.
That investor spins off the pot product to a large manufacturer and takes cash and royalty.
They have other products and develop new products.
That's business
At the end
“mr. Cuban, we appreciate it.”
….. “it’s mark”
"Mr. Cuban, we appreciate it."
"It's Mark."
"Oh hai Mark"
I love that you can see the light go off in Marks head when he realizes how innovative and important this product is. It was the same with the Tree Teepee
You can see the exact moment, Mark sees pound signs lol.
“Mr.Cuban”
“It’s Mark”
Love this guy.
Mark cuban is like it doesn't matter if you either call me by any name as long as you are giving me profits from my investments🤣🤣
Amazing ‼️
Hands down the best pitch on Shark Tank IMO.
I'll die to know what tf they be writing on their notebooks 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Details that the entrepreneurs mention in their pitch that would influence their decision and make it easier to refer back to when asking questions
u realize these pitches are on average over 40 minutes to an hour and half and there is lot of information but it’s edited and easy to follow for the average viewer for entertainment
Also putting down the numbers and probably how much $ they are willing to invest and for what equity
What an inspirational product.
Marks hair looks on point fr!
The American Red Cross says be prepared for emergancies. This would be excellent for when a catastrophy hits. The military could use this as well.
F the military
As entrepreneurs, they nailed it . But this piece uses piezo thermoelectric generations where they need to keep 2 temperatures on both sides of the plate. So in order to do so the plate must and MUST be less heat conductive. That means your Heat will not deliver to Pot/Eggs properly...
So in summary this will charge your phone ...
But not boil your eggs properly without draining you more cash ...
They know what Mark wants. Also, Mark knows a great product when he sees one. Equity aside, he would have invested anyway. And, these guys just hit it on the head with the advisory options and seat on the board. Deal.
I swear mark joined the shark tank for fun and just throws side money towards small companies. This man is richer than all of the sharks combined times three. Man has a 4.6B+ Net worth and don’t forget 1 million seconds is around two weeks and 1 billion seconds is 31 years. He is on another league compared to the rest of the sharks.
Kid: Mr. Cuban…
Mr. Cuban: Mark
Such a humble guy. Hats off to you, sir.
The product liability potential the product has is hugeeeeee
He showed he knew what he was doing with that counter. Mark accepted it out of respect.
2:54 Mark's lightbulb went off
Mark is the only one I'd ever do a deal with. At the end when he said, "Mr. Cuban, we appreciate it" Mark said "Mark".
he said smart not mark haha
„Mr. Cuban“ … „It‘s Mark“ i like his style
It appears to be a great product on its face! Could be a game changer for small countries or the like. I hope they do well.
They say there's a sucker born every minute. They stopped making the pot and now just make flashlights.
Simple but genius.🙏
This is what is called the revenge of the nerds.
3:03 you can see the lightbulb turn on inside Marks head.
I remember seeing this covered in my state news channel where school kids did this.
i’ve never seen mark actually think this long about an investment
This makes me happy
Wow nbc rewards comments? 😲
I have not watched a second of this video still on the adds, but I would invest into these guys just because they look Dedicated to the craft 😂😂😂
You're asking to be bent over if that's how you make decisions 😂
Marks very picky with his investments he usually only picks the ones he can sell to big tech
This might be the best counter offer that I’ve seen considering the revenue was so small. Great job guys
These two guys are what I hope the future of the west is. We’ve come so far away from where we were this gives me hope
I haven't seen this in stores yet.
Many countries in Africa needs that
This guys gonna become billionaires
How much for one...

Outstanding camping and survival tool.
I think I saw something similar on Dragons Den UK! 😎
Cool product suitable for camping, hike mountain for days
This is the early days when Mark used to buy everything, to secure his permanent position in Shark Tank.
web of lies. barbra never invests and shes in almost every shark tank episode/season
@@nickclark18 exactly . I just think abduallah is uneducated and doesn't see the value of this. He wasn't about charging phones for mark, it was about him selling it to 3rd world countries to be used as a LIGHT SOURCE. People in 3rd world countries usually one have 1 light source in the whole house and if this can be their second or only light source this is HUGE.
Also he really doesn't need to "secure his position " , They need him more than he needs them . Mark is worth 4.5 BILLION. The second richest shark to him is worth 400 million . The combined net worth of the other 4 sharks are only 1 billion compared to his solo net worth of 4.5 billion.
@@georgehugeabutt9947 mark Cuban has no liquidity. All his net worth is tied in the nba team.

There’s more upside in the technology than the actual product.
When Mark hears they power lights he was like "oh im in"
these two guys were really smart guys
3:05 light bulb went off in Mark that I've never seen watching this show. Seems like he instantly saw extreme value in the lighting solution and went silent to not let the others know that value.
These 2 had the most textbook nerd high five I’ve ever seen
One of the smartest counters Mark has ever received.
Theres already a small camp stove that does this. And it runs off the fire you use to cook the food.
love this one!
I like how other sharks help each other out securing deals when they’re not interested in it
Soooooooooo good bro 😎
Good for camping, just look into market in country that have a lot of mountains

How have i never heard of this thing. This technology is revolutionary
Do you know what level of respect when you say “Mr Cuban” and he counters with “Mark” they’re in the big leagues now

In the end the boy tried to be more formal and respecting saying "Mr Cuban" but down to earth mark just said "Mark"...that's why I love this guy...
I love this idea
When mark cuban makes a deal you know the product is good
Go get'em guys
What I don't understand is - would't the water in the pot start boiling within a few minutes? At that point, the temperature differential will be very low and the power output will be greatly reduced? So you'd only get the peak power output for a few minutes?
Do they get to keep the samples????
Whats advisory options?
