Someone else said they are worth 5 million now. It’s bizarre how many deals fall through with Robert. Should be a lesson to anyone walking in there to steer clear of him. He had great options, he should have countered with Mark or Lori or tried to bring the two of them together.
@@Rattlsnke Robert's deals fall through the most. Its annoying when he steals deals from other sharks by making what seems to be an amazing offer, then not going through with it.
@@Rattlsnke I would say Lori is a perfect fit for him, Mark second and Kevin third. Even though he seems like he’s only interested in getting his money back, he puts decent effort to make the entrepreneurs successful.
The deal never closed! Not sure where the issue was, but smart money says he should’ve gone with Mark or Lori.. but tbh I didn’t see too much in this product to elicit such a competition 😊
Robert is the one with the lowest closing rate. In later seasons everyone knows it so he get picked less and less The company is doing fine...doing 5 million in sales per year
It wouldnt matter if he takes robert offer. Its just a Show. Later he can still negotiate with other sharks for a deal he even coule take more than one offer.
Honestly he should've went with Daymond. Him and his team are very powerful and the offer although it was 20% he wouldn't of needed nothing else or even Marks deal. Those 2 should've maybe even teamed up. If he was smart he would've asked if anyone would work together I think some would have.
No. This will easily blow up, giving up a lot of equity now for that amount is a very bad deal especially if you'll want to add more investors and partners in the future such as Walmart and over seas companies in Europe. Roberts deal was the very best.
Patents are public knowledge and only protected in the US. The chinese are notorious for syealing US patents and making tons of cheap products. The inventor of the hoverboard never saw a dime from all the sales because thats ehat happened to him
Wish you posted the full episode… because I don’t quite get the point of this or the applications… or why it’s valued so high. Not really enough information for this one.
In such a case where there are multiple offers, I would do a deal with more than one shark. And since there were 5 offers in this case, he could have even structured such a deal to get all 5 sharks onboard for a deal.
Chicken, broccoli, brown rice, popcorn, and an energy drink is what I am eating right now while watching this on a Thursday. How's everyone doing today.
It's 9:51am here, Friday, I just got out from work, first shift. Graveyard. Lying topless on my bed, ready to sleep. Hope you all are having a great day, how about you?
Why dont they show the entire pitch? We dont even know if it was patented or not because any cheap company can recreate it with cheaper materials and therefore this guys "vision" and valuation becomes zero.
Damond could've said a 10 BILLION dollar line of credit, but at the end of the day it's just like any other loan. He has to pay back any balance he accrues anyway (with interest). This guy would've just been giving up more equity in perpetuity in exchange for what is basically a high limit credit card. Any shark can easily loan more cash to him after a deal is closed, granted if the company keeps growing.
I don't think you understand what credit is. He was not just giving him $10 million. It is credit, so he would have to pay whatever he uses of that $10 million back. Daymond basically picked that big number to wow people like you that don't understand how credit works.
but still you gotta pay it though. why take so much money if in the end you'll gonna pay for it. you dont know how to manage money properly. loan what you only need.
I don't know why anyone even bothers to acknowledge that Robert is there. His deals basically never go through. You should only go with Robert if you're only there for publicity and don't actually want a deal.
Yep! It's helpful if you need money but don't want to dilute (sell more of your company) the company. Also, likely a line of credit from those sharks beats whatever loan a bank would give.
You’re not a very smart businessman. Mark having money doesn’t mean anything. You need someone with connections and expertise in your field and audience.
Evidently Robert is hard to reach, takes months to get back with them and doesn't work or close most deals. Why is he allowed on and what was point of wasting someone's opportunity? Just to boost his own EGO for TV?
These clips are too short lately. A lot of questions from the shark are cut. Not even an intro, no ask, no story. Nothing. These clips are short but not sweet.
Who came here after watching the shorts!! ✋🏽

Big surprise that the deal never closed. I would never go with Robert. This would have been a good Lori product for QVC.
damon would have been good too
idk why tf he went with robert LMAO not smart at all

Damons and Marks deals were the best. I would have gone with both of them for 18 percent for 1 million.
make a product then fuckwit or stfu
Robert wanted it a little more tho
@@pinonXO yep. And when a Shark wants a little more, it means they know the product will make a lot of money.

Robert: Oh WOW!
As like many other Robert’s offers, the deal never closed! I gotta do some stats about those sharks and their offers.
It'd be great if it was a case of Robert saying, "You don't need me, we should both walk away."

Play the full episode please !. Too many important details missed when it's watered down too much
The deal was not closed because there were tons of Chinese knockoffs at less than half the price. This is why patents are important
Remember actually some people bring their ideas from other countries.
Chinese knockoffs? Lmao you have no idea that he is actually the one who copied it 😂

But the key to get all 5 sharks on board is that you mention a very good counter offer that would make all 5 sharks say yes to your deal
