Mark Cuban is the most respectable shark on shark tank. The way he looked at Chris to see if he would put out a hand for a handshake after that last deal. He read his body language like a book.
For somebody who claims to be such an activist against "wasting time", Chris sure does ask a lot of stupid questions.
i know right?
I caught that. I thought the same thing.

Honestly I like how he waits to see what Chris will do but that dick just walks back to his seat. Mark ain't even that petty.
I love when mark told her if she really wanted to be compassionate she would go out and double the offer.
Agreed
Double would be 80k. He said offer 100k
"Oh yeah like you're gonna break your back for $40 thousand dollars" .. at least Daymond straight up said he didn't care lol
Mark, Kevin, and Robert were absolutely correct about the first deal. Daymond and Laurie threw money at the guy without even giving him a chance to really explain anything. It felt like they were trying to just shut him up before he could even get the chance at a potentially better offer.
Not totally accurate. Yes, I believe they wanted the deal for themselves, but they were absolutely just in making their offers when they did.
Sometimes the basic concept of something is enough to know that:
A) It’s filling a gap in a market
B) It’s innovative
C) It’s scalable
All of which this company was, and proved to be. The basics of making the backend work are super achievable, especially with their connections.
that's why they're called sharks
Their investment was in the person more than rhe business.
It felt like charity. They could have at least given him the opportunity to actually sell his business.
Personally I'd of felt like I was treated like a child who they just want to shut up.
I wouldn’t say he could’ve gotta better deal considering he got the exact deal he wanted

She was right though.
The Scholly pitch was so interesting in so many ways. It’s so fascinating to see what the Shark’s do under pressure. It was such a good idea they knew the financial or algorithm side almost wouldn’t matter; yet the other sharks had a problem with the disrespect of jumping ahead of everyone else. It’s a “business ethics” in action.
They already sold the company which I knew would happen because it seemed like a King of ideas I loved it
It’s not a new, or unique idea There are literally dozens of companies that do this.

Mark says that when he knows he can make money not when he’s giving to charity
Only negotiators with fragile egos try to make deals that way. They're worried the entrepreneur will find a better deal, and they're right
Mark kevin and Robert all have backgrounds working in the technology space, they were actually trying to figure out his roadmap for automatically adding scholarships instead of manually adding but they chocked him to accept the deal. Lori and Damen are the worst sharks for technology deals so getting both of them and not any of the other three let alone getting their advice during the pitch they think they probably stunted the program growth.

Yeah I usually like Lori but man… she’s completely misunderstanding the whole thing. Chris had a gruff delivery but he was absolutely right with the real estate lockbox VC
The part I find the most hilarious from this is during the Toor portion, everyone except Chris understood that the reason the product he was trying to invest was so good wasn't actually because of the lockbox itself but rather the time you save in viewing the house. They kept pointing out to him that it could take days to weeks just to view the house after getting ahold of an agent. But this guy made it so if you were interested in the property, all you had to do is just walk up and request a private walk through of the property that day, not waiting days to weeks to find out it's not what you're interested in.
No. His point was the company that makes those Bluetooth lockboxes, that already have the relationships and sales in place, could take the couple months required to add a new line of code (make an app) so that customers could do it on their own.
His point was the success the guy could potentially have would be short lived. That’s even if he could make deals with the companies that already have relationships with the lockbox makers.
Why do you think Barbara said the deal was contingent on them selling a mass amount to a large chain company?
Cuban is my favorite shark but the sniveling valley guy was actually right here.
well i read that the company failed so i guess he was right in the end
yep, but unfortunately chris was right this time!! lol
@@luka2549 wait you serious? I figured his company would just merge with another company that's already been established. I'm shocked with such a brilliant added feature could fail so quickly.
@@SteveTKO yeah it failed miserably however the guy himself is still very successful, making over $100m in other real estate means.
Lori and Daymond did the right thing with Scholly App. It isn't huge funding requirement, but with 2 Sharks they can take this business to a new level.
I'm really happy to know he got support & I hope it turns into a success. He had a need & realized many others are in the same situation so he developed a solution. He's got good vibes & I wish him abundant Blessings for his efforts to help others!
@@dnllmaurer1 that episode is superrrr old 💀
They managed to help student win 70 million dollars in scholarships
I definitely agree with this. Sometimes business ideas are greater than business itself, even if the business model isn’t fantastic right now, with Lori and Dayton they can help develop the business model. Just the idea itself is strong enough to warrant a buy in for the business. Being able to invest early gives you a competitive advantage in the market place, but this does make the actual investment very risky. Hence why Lori and Daymon took a risk by not even needing to hear anything more and believing in the Founder and his mission.
I agree, but at the same time, Robert and Mark were trying to ask questions, that not only could have helped guide the guy, but also helped see potential flaws in the system that could have been fixed. Also it can help explain the app to others wanting to know more. Yeah it is great he got an investment, but I hate when they push to have them immediately accept an offer, before they finish talking about the specifics.
Bro I just love when they fight to kiss the boots of the potential, succeeding businesses 😅 its wholesome😂😂😂
Bro Chris backed down so fast when Junior told him "you're testing me"
Wow, the second guy carried himself with such grace. He navigated white rapids like it was a lazy river. Hope it's doing well for him!
sadly his business actually flopped
Bruh
his business actually flopped, but he is still doing fine, he started new business with wife, so in long term he won. Good for him
The problem he is trying to solve, really isn't a problem
So technically Chris was right?
Mark is right about the lock box. The software is the sauce, the software is replacing the agent and there's no software for that other than this new lock box, it has a lot of potential if patterned. The software can be integrated into real estate platforms since it already has a ready to go hardware.
This is old. Toor went out of business
Keypad locks and Bluetooth keys really put tour out of business. Although he’s arrogant, Chris was absolutely right in his skepticism.
solution for the problem is ok , i meant theres market for this product , but in reality theres more elektronic key then traditional one, why dont he just connect the software on to electronic key 😁, thats Chris wants to argue with mark about this, but he just cut it out 🤣
No I think Chris was right. Given the technological advancement of today, it would be easy to hack an app to open a lock
The seller can just give the potential buyer the lock box code
This is my new favorite show.
I like how matt is instigating the shark fight 😂
The second guy is one of the best salesman I have seen in recent years. The knowledge and confidence he had was espectacular
toor...only the product was crap
@@pete9364 sign of a good salesman is he can sell a crap idea.
You want a bad salesman with a good product, vs the alternative. Toor was the alternative and went out of business
he's a salesman. the business is dead
I actually had the brightwheel app for years while my kids were in daycare so it’s really cool watching the creator pitch the idea on the show

That second guy is on point. I love the way he negotiates. Clear. Concise. Conviction.
Yeah. I heard the business didn’t do well, but his personality seems really great for this sort of stuff. If he could speak to all of the people on earth at the same time selling his product, everyone would buy one or two, even if they live somewhere where they have to spend years just to get the money to afford it. He’s a great sales guy.
The second one where, Chris says, "I sometimes wonder how you made all that money Mark" has me laughing on the floor LOL.
ROFL (Rolling on the Floor Laughing)
I love how scholly is going strong still
