Two Sharks Make Quick Offers For The Wall Doctor Rx. | Shark Tank | CNBC Prime
I’d honestly rather have Lori than Robert just because Robert takes a lot of these things personally. He usually sees a counter offer as a rejection rather than what it genuinely is.
Agreed
He is nerd with nerd stigmas
I understood it to be more as Robert had more time me to think about what he himself had proposed early on (rather quickly) and then was debating with himself whether he actually wanted to go through with it or not. The guy's hesitation gave him an excuse to pull out
He's an entitled acting bich
He is pretty annoying
That guppies joke was underrated 😂

That's because most countries outside America either don't know what drywall is or they don't have it.

lori would've definitely brought more value to the company , its apparent that the doctor is a very simple man and hes fine with whatever profits he can make in the united states and doesnt mind losing out on the global profit's but to reach the average US household this product would need a "as seen on tv" stamp on it which lori would bring to the table
Personally I hate "as seen on tv" and think it makes the product worst then it is
He's not losing out on global sales entirely, though. He is selling them to Robert at wholesale, so there is a profit margin there. Also, I agree with the other guy that "As Seen On TV" is basically an immediate write off to me. I assume it's cheaply made and over priced.

Robert is the worst dude to work with.
Stroking Roberts giant ego f#ck him. Should've gone with Lori........
ikr, the guy should've known to counter with the same deal except no exclusive rights part. that is what killed him. Roberts probably gonnaa be charge 5-10$ for the thing. I feel bad for the guy
@@Ay-sd1sj what do u mean? give me one or two well thought out examples, please
What are you talking about lol, this is one of the best deals ever for the entrepreneur. Robert Essentially works for him, pays a royalty on every sale, and dude gets 150k for free to focus on the us market. It’s genius really and works for both.
I was convinced that Robert was gonna ask for more from him on the same initial offer he had made because my man’s had just put himself in a compromising position by declining the other two Sharks offers and failing to bring Lori on board. He was desperate for Robert to hop in at that point. Robert did think about it for a moment, but I guess he liked dude’s personality and went easy on him.
Wall doctor dude showed weakness and he lost all of his bargaining power. Easily could’ve walked out with a less favorable deal or no deal at all lol
I think Robert sensed someone else was just gonna match his deal and didn’t wanna get scooped lol
What was Robert's problem? the guy wanted him with Lori, and when she declined, he went back to Robert as his favorite. Why was he offended?
Just adding drama for TV.
@Waddup Mayne Correct Answer!
@@comgeturs Correct Answer!
@@comgeturs That's my guess.
Remember it’s a show, not reality. Everything you see it what someone is getting paid to create. A lot of these deal don’t even happen, not to mention all the “Deals” are already made before hand.
I would have went with Robert too. He gets the money, loses no equity, sells wholesale to Robert who is incentivized to sell as much as possible to get his money back. This forces Robert to make a deal with someone abroad and it becomes guaranteed sales for this guy.
Robert would have to put it on QVC or HSN though to make both of you some dough.
@@DanRaidersWarriorsSharksGiants nope because the doc still gets $2 per unit whenever Robert sells it overseas.
@@JakeLYT Sure, but he has to have faith Robert will do it and Lori putting it on QVC would make it way more money sooner. I would have tried to get them to partner if I liked Roberts deal that much. "edit" He did try to do that and I forgot and did not watch it all and Lori said no.
I would have gotten Robert to add either Damon or Kevin for USA sales and give up equity.
Lori was the better pick just putting the commercial will sell more like scrub daddy did.
this guy has a beautiful decisive energy, Lavaresque I would say
Lavar ball?
Reviews on Amazon: "Followed the directions, and installed before the long holiday weekend. Come back to find on Tuesday that the material had dried out a lot and is now cracking in the middle." "When the product finally arrived, it arrived dry. I followed the instructions to a T and as you can see it all ended up crumbling." "after 48 hours when I tried to sand it the plastic showed up and looked It was ugly. I had to remove it and use a small little drywall instead. This product does not work. Its a piece of crap."
Is lavaresque a word because I looked it up on Google and nothing came up?
As having experience with dry wall repair, I can tell you that with no backer behind that hole the repair will crack and re expose within 6 months if not earlier. Not to mention the massive mess of sanding that huge lump of dry compound
Yup. I’ve got minimal to no experience and even I know as a house expands and contracts it will be an eyesore. The plastic piece will be impossible to make a good finish. Would be like a bump on the wall.
I feel if I didn’t know much of the business financial part of the business I would have someone be there for me! But it was very clear how unfair that offer was. Lori and Mark Cuban are the best sharks
He did still manage to get Lori in the deal. Lori invested on a separate deal.
Who here will agree that black entrepreneurs coming onto Shark Tank have a handicap.
@@thedukeofbellington8898 how? People need to stop thinking like that.
@@thesportsguy126. Mr. Vittorio, I consider myself to be a very objective thinker BUT I've noticed that the Sharks, I'm excluding Damon, seem to have....let's call it a demerit system in which the entrepreneur is graded based on how much he adheres to a stereotype. This system also applies to whites as well as blacks....mostly to blacks. I've seen white pitchers with southern accents come on and appear to be duded-up hillbillies. The Sharks have got his number. They read him as soon as he walked out and started speaking. I also saw a Jewish entreprenuer who came onto the set using Jewish quips and behaving in a manner consistent with a person of the Jewish faith. Also, it didn't help that the product he was pitching didn't seem to be consequential. The Sharks never took him seriously. Blacks, demerited as soon as they walk out are seen as groveling beggars, partly because blacks are perceived as not being able to produce any idea or product worthy of consideration. This whole concept is cleverly disguished by the Sharks who put on a facade of kindness and objectivity.
@@thesportsguy126. You might be right but I can't help but think that the Sharks are people and people do have prejudices. The Shark or Sharks may not like the way a pitch is being presented, they may not like the face of the entrepreneur, they may not like the way he or she is dressed....the entrepreneur may seem to be too eager...there could be a host of reasons to unfairly prejudge ......

Robert is probably specifically thinking Canada...
Yes you are right, Canada is all about wood frame walls.
These people are truly sharks. It's seems like they easily change their mind on you even if you consider someone else's offer
Guy was awesome, so positive despite all the negativity from the sharks.

Rober is like a kid.
There was a time when I thought Robert was a decent guy, but he's a kid who takes it personal when you don't buy him an ice-cream as soon as he asks you.
Keep in mind you still have to texture it. And this only works for quarter sized holes, maybe a touch bigger. Im a drywall finisher.
Walls are rarely textured in north america , not a durable repair product , I'm sure once the sticker hole cover gives up the rest just crumbles
i tried it doesn’t hold up, just a cheap looking fix.
@@r.rodriguez4991 canada , it's considered beyond oldschool to have a textured wall here ......
I'd like to see it after sanding. With the thickness of the disc - feathering that out in that small of area would be challenging

'Don't say "You're dead to me."' 😂.
So contrived, oh and he wasn't told to say he needed both of them!
They cut out the part at the end when Robert says to the man, there’s a little bit of confusion there smiling and giggling then Mark says back to Robert,to nobody but you Robert lmao
Ha! You have to watch the full episode to understand it. It’s a neat little concept
He should've countered Robert with 10% royalties for international sales but that's just me.
The sanding is the most tricky part in these patch repairs.
It is, but with the way modern homes are made mostly because of the textured walls and ceilings, it's really easy to hide repairs. It's not like it used to be 20+ years ago when everyone wanted it super smooth. Because that is actually much harder to achieve and it doesn't look as nice (in my opinion). But anyway, lol.
Robert was like: “I don’t want to be nobody’s second choice, you either choice me or u lose me”

If the hole in the wall is much bigger than the head of a hammer, much more than plaster patch will be required. You need actual dry wall. Seems like this limits the product’s effectiveness significantly.
As someone who has patched holes in drywall for the last 30 years, this product is dumb. But, homeowners will probably buy it. It'll be on the shelf next to those stupid spouts that are meant for paint cans.
Why is it dumb?
@@mcmc2386 Because I can patch the same hole with a putty knife and 5 cents worth of joint compound.

His presentation was dynamic. I loved the hammer to the wall to get a wall bit!
He should've sanded it.
I love it. 'I need ..'. Nice to push that way.
I don't get it - without his product, all you have to do is put putty (which come in small containers) and sand it.
And it dries quicker too!
Put putty into the gaping whole in the wall?
@@mattirwin3121 they come with metal plates you put over the hole.
its just that if you got a small hole like a 50cent or double the size hole this would be of great help, no need to buy the full pack of putty, leveling tools, nothing,, its a good product, simple and effective ,,, but for small sized damages

Robert's offer is theft.
I mean he still gets paid US wholesale prices (at a volume that’s probably greater than what he’s selling today) plus he doesn’t have to market or worry about distribution worldwide. Robert only makes money if he can off load them to intl retailers. He also got a cool $150k in cash.

bruh... I was scared for the man, when Robert was about to back out 🤣🤣
I get what he's doing but as someone who does Reno's, there isn't enough product around the plastic backing to make a good feathered edge, or if you push the product to deep or you oversand, then you'll still have to go buy a bucket of putty.

Dr. Wall Laurie gave you the best deal and advice.
Even after the show is over behind the scenes these Sharks can still change their mind on any deal which sucks about this show.
The show is also heavily edited. I wouldn't take it super seriously, just fun entertainment
