- This video is a complete instructional puppy grooming full haircut with an 11-week-old Schnauzer. It is my pleasure to teach you the basics of dog grooming, so you can provide the same level of quality care for your beloved pet at home.

Thank you Amy! You are using the Kenshii flash 5 clippers and different scissors. I am looking at grooming my future schnauzer in a teddy bear cut. I was planning on buying the Kenshii flash 5 for sanitary trim/belly/paw pads and the Wahl for the rest of the teddy bear cut. Would you suggest to start with Kenshii flash 5 and the different blades to see how I am doing with them or would I prefer having the Wahl for the body teddy bear trim? Now about the scissors. I found your blue sapphire Kenshii pack, but you are referring to smaller blades sheers from another company as well. What would be a beginner’s at home grooming minimum supplies/tools that will work great? If you have a video answering this, I will be glad to watch it. Thank you for your amazing insightful videos. I am grateful and never thought in a million years that I would even consider grooming my own dog. Well, it is coming up 😊 soon.
If you can, a yorkie with cotton hair grooming video would be amazing.
I have merke yorkies and they have cotton hair, so the traditional yorkie cut doesn't work well for them.
My teddy bear trim is what you want.

Hello can you do step by step standard poodle :)
Hi I am brand new to this channel (legitimately when I started writing this, I had only just found out about your channel less then 30 seconds ago) and my dog he's a 1 year old toy poodle and he gets very nervous when I try to give him a bath. I've tried things like making it quick and making sure I'm always talking to him and praising him and also making sure he stays warm and doesn't start shivering or anything but I was wondering if there's anything else I can do to help him? He also gets a treat after his bath.
Also, my dog has VERY long eyelashes and so when he's clipped it looks like a spot was missed but it wasn't it is just his eyelashes. So I was wondering what your thoughts were on cutting a dogs eyelashes? Is it best to leave them be or try to at least shorten them or does it not matter?

Does anyone know of a brand of scissors that has larger thumb and finger holes. I supposedly bought a pair on Amazon that did, but I can barely get it on my thumb to the end of my thumbnail. Every snip it comes off my thumb.

Do you have any suggestions for how to practice with shears?
I have a 5 month old- I did not use super sharp sheers in the beginning for fear of nicking her. Practicing the moves and trimming a little at a time helps. The doggy in the video is definitely a world champion at 11 weeks.

At 11 weeks has she completed all her immunizations in order to see the groomer? I just googled and found that most shots aren’t done until at least 16 weeks so how do we get our puppies introduced to the groomer so young without having all the required shots? We won’t be getting out 2nd puppy until she is 10 weeks old. Are we still early enough if her first grooming appointment isn’t until she’s done with her shot?
