FL v. Parkland School Shooter Pleads Guilty

- Опубликовано: 14 окт 2021
- A Florida man faces trial for a catastrophic school shooting, but before he does, he must face jurors for a battery case. Prosecutors say that’s Nikolas Parkland School Shooter, 23, on footage rushing a Broward County jail guard in November 2018.
Parkland School Shooter is the person facing 17 counts of first-degree murder, and 17 counts of attempted first-degree murder for opening fire at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Broward County, Florida on Valentine’s Day 2018. Then 19, he was a former student there. While awaiting trial at the Broward County Jail, he attacked one of the guards, say, prosecutors. In the Nov. 13, 2018 incident, the guard told him not to drag his sandals on the floor, prosecutors said. Parkland School Shooter flipped him off, and, as clear from the video, rushed him and struck him. He initially had the upper hand, but the guard regained control, and Parkland School Shooter eventually gave up.
17 people died in the high school shooting: 14-year-old student Alyssa Alhadeff, 35-year-old teacher Scott Beigel, 14-year-old student Martin Duque Anguiano, 17-year-old student Nicholas Dworet, 37-year-old assistant football coach Aaron Feis, 14-year-old student Jaime Guttenberg, 49-year-old athletic director Christopher Hixon, 15-year-old student Luke Hoyer, 14-year-old student Cara Loughran, 14-year-old student Gina Montalto, 17-year-old student Joaquin Oliver, 14-year-old student Alaina Petty, 18-year-old student Meadow Pollack, 17-year-old student Helena Ramsay, 14-year-old student Alexander Schachter, 16-year-old student Carmen Schentrup, and 15-year-old student Peter Wang.
Officials arrested Parkland School Shooter shortly after. Interview footage showed him insisting a voice in his head told him to carry out the shooting. He called it the “Demon.”
“Personally, I think you’re using the demon as an excuse,” said Broward County Sheriff’s Detective John Curcio.
Parkland School Shooter’s defense has not disputed that he is responsible. They have been trying to save him from the death penalty.

Can't stand to see lawyers pat and stroke this punk's back. And don't call him sir. He doesn't deserve that respect.
Calling him sir is just due process. It's about upholding the professionalism of the court, and keeping civilised order in the face of uncivilised chaos. It's no reflection upon the accused.
It's called professionalism and bearing. Addressing someone professionally has nothing to do with the reason they are there. Keeping it professional leaves neutrality and the actions he committed will show the true nature of his judgment.

His life was also taken away by all the bullying and hate he received throughout his life. THIS was the main reason that it happened.
@@abcd0193 point?
@@brightpri6692 point is, we need to not only focus on major gun laws, and protecting our children, but also we need to take action on bullying, cyberbullying, etc.! A lot of schools, parents, kids, etc., do not care until they go through something like this. We need to protect our children at all costs.
@@Lynne6 in my opinion, teachers should have guns, and guns should be carried by more people, so when someone tries to attempt a mass shooting, they get stopped. I also think that bullying to a degree (not too bad) is actually really good for self improvement. As for cyberbullying, turn off the screen.
@@Lynne6 yes the children must be protected.
Okay, not disregarding the severity of this case but wow I absolutely love the judge. She is intelligent, and gorgeous 😍

Thats bs . She is wonderfull, im dreaming of her in Victoria secrets

Tough guy when he had a gun
@@ihateu444 you’re hailing a school shooter a defending him saying he had a “mEnTal iLlnEss” you have no rights to call anyone a loser or anything 💀💀
@@ihateu444 mental illness is not an excuse to kill 17 people. that should be very obvious.
They have him wearing clothes that's frumpy and too big for him and ridiculous grandma glasses again too big for his rotten face. Why is he made to look so vulnerable and tiny. He's a fake actor who is delighted with what he did.
I think those are his own clothes! 🙄. He looks fine.
I never knew that there is a longer version of him talking to the judge, This is hard stuff to watch
Is it just me or it seems that he became more skinny ?
He reminds me of a 90 year old man from behind..
He looks frail and diminished...
I agree, but he would look much better 6 feet under
Looks like he developed a hunchback or there is something wrong with the clothes he is wearing. Maybe he has a bulletproof vest under his shirt?
Nicolas bajo bastante de peso. Pobrw chico lo que es la ansiedad, depresión y burlas en las escuelas. AHI ESTÁN LAS CONCECUENCIAS. 😥😥😥😥😰😰😰😰
Why would the prison officer even care about how he was walking with his flip flops? Especially with a person facing life in prison why risk making a person with nothing to lose angry? Ego?
@TheContinetal clearly that jail guard knew the inmate was up to no good and it was proven when the perp assailed the guard.
@@gemini6166 He wasn't "up to anything"....He was walking around for exercise during the limited time he was out of his cell.
@@heathernicole3655 Clearly he was up to no good. He assaulted the jail guard.
Every agency has rules and regulations and ultimately inmates must listen to officers so long as the officer is not giving an illegal or immoral order.. If an officer lets the inmates get away with little rules, they start to try to get away with bigger things. If an officer does not address rules he can be seen as soft by the inmates and be in even more danger.
@@RGTFLA85 Exactly and well said. It is sad when one must spell it out for other's Eh! 😔
Please more judges like her cause either judges be playing games wasting people time
Judge madam respect your professional.. blessings from Sri Lanka 🌹🌹🌹
It's odd that he hasn't had a diagnosis.. don't they these people have to have psych evaluations and be diagnosed before going to court. So weird.
After that dog barked, you can nikolas say, "I'm scared", to his lawyer to which his lawyer replies, "its just a dog, i promise you, its just a dog."
Great catch. Took about 63 times to hear that!
Scared of a dog bark while he's pleading guilty to overpowering an officer, it's ridiculous.

My goodness y’all are thirsty talking about how “beautiful” the judge is… This is way deeper than that. I mean, wayyyyyyy deeper than that.
Lol all are virgins
@@Jasekingg Do you get it when he says "waaaaaay deeper?"
@@goodkrypollo1706 yeah but its kinda ambiguous. Kinda depends on how you read it.
Appreciating a strong woman doesn’t diminish the loss of all of the people during this horrible crime. People are fully capable of separating two issues.

Everyone is saying how good of a judge she is but she always seems confused every single court date this dude has
she’s probably new
This sentence is for him charging, attacking a guard and getting the upper hand?
I find that hard to believe unless the guard was Tyrian from game of thrones.
The video is good.
This is the guard case - not the school shooting. It sounds like he wants to plead guilty for both but this is only for the guard case. There is security footage if you want to watch the guard attack.
Hey, Tyrion is a badass.
Lol i was thinking the same thing
To show this case is keeping the public be a good person
I've never heard him talk before.
For all the family s very sorry about the loses and prayers
Abhorrent waste of tax payers money and just shows how ridiculous the justice system is.... And another thing, how on earth can a prison guard get over powered by what looks in size to be a 13 or 14 year old boy... Crazy...
Waste of taxpayers money and courts time.
Eine entsetzliche Tat.
Mein Beileid an die Angehörigen.
I love to see a woman in such a position👩⚖
His lawyers look good to be from the Public Defenders office.. they should’ve given him one that had just graduated & started @ the PD’s office. I know that would (probably) be unethical but on the other hand you (should) get what you give.
What does this even matter the the kid is going to be in prison for the rest of his life sadlythe whole thing he did is sad sad for the victims and sad for him cuz I believe this happened because of how he grew up if he had someone who loved him and showed him love this would have never happened
He finally is handled as an citizen.
I really wish times were simpler for cut and dry cases like this. Guilty, YES--killed the next day.
Such a waste of peoples time and tax money.
He don't look scary. Police need to move faster to take idiots like this out. Asap.
