Hey there, Steve here. In this video, I take a common pop chord progression (I - IV - vi - V) and attempt to make it an emo / math rock chord progression.

This needs to become a series. Maybe even emo pop covers.
Haha! Sure. Thanks
Its like going from a colorless world to a world full of color.
I couldn’t listen to standard chords they sound so meh, but math rocky style 😻
id say it’s like going from a world full of bright colors to a world with pieces of art as landscapes

@@Lung911 all chords can be beautiful if you use them wisely
Colorless? Come on… that’s a bit much don’t you think?
Dude wtf the emo chord progression got me thinking about my hometown 😔😔😔
Served its purpose then! 😅
Pop is great for nostalgic memory triggers and delightful background energy during other engagements. These emo progressions and chords stimulate so much more emotion and thought. Also I think you have stolen my black socks. Imma check the drawer and they better still be there. Lol jk ofc. Great vid as always.
I'll return them later 😉
@@LetsTalkAboutMathRock lol! Thanks.
Good timing, I was just working on this! ;)
This is so great. PLEASE put together a list. You're the best.
I did not know I am doing midwest emo sometimes. I am doing smooth jazz chords. I think it differs with strumming too. Love this different tastes of guitar playing.
The squier affinity will get a lake placid blue, white pickguard, dark fingerboard version. Almost a Ltamr signature 😂
Will have to get one! Haha
sick how much info you conveyed without even uttering a word
Pop part sounds like the Island Song from Adventure Time :)
Lol it uses those exact chords
You know it's legit when the guitarist plays math rock on a tele
I'd like more changes of chords with the same progressive please! It's so beatiful 😭❤
Such a short video.. so much information. These are epic, a series of chord progressions would be cool
That’s awesome! These videos save my mental health in quarantine. Do you have a list with all emo/math chords?
I haven't right now! I'll throw something together when I get chance 👍 cheers
@@LetsTalkAboutMathRock nice! I can’t wait for that.
Steve! My dude! You're literally teaching us witchcraft. I love it.
Um so did you use cheat codes at the end there?
dat last effect :D
You should try a combo with metal music
Soooooo good
I tried some of these chord shapes, but the hipsters laughed at me because I still had my shoes on 😕
mathrock: i think i need more fingers
Damn that's good!
Nice one, very indie emo dude
pups on the natural finish tele sound crazy, what model are they?
They are the stock ones. V-mod telecaster pickups 👍👍
Sickkkk
beautiful
Second one was really really nice
Beautiful chords but you didn't give that pop progression a chance with the way you played it lol. Sounded like a Guitar 1 class play along
Very very pretty chords!
Cheers!
Hi Steve I love you
🥰
can I use these chord progressions for my song please?
sure! thanks for asking
Dayumn.
I Like The Riff D - Bm - G - Gm & The Chord At 0:57

Сами по себе аккорды красивые,сложить ты их не можешь ,нет
последовательности действий сгармонировать в музыку не можешь !
