      This is extremely helpful! Understanding the connections between why chords are played always helps my creativity. It's like giving me tools to use! Quick question though, why do you use the A7 (which includes a major third (c#)) over an aminor7 which includes a minor third (c)? Thanks!

      ​@jackstethem2569 thanks for the feedback! You can play either the Am7 or A7 to transition to the Dm9 chord. The Am7 is in the key and the A7 is a secondary dominant so it's out of the key. It just gives a slighlty more spicy sound because the listener isn't expecting to hear that chord placed there typically. Hope that helps!

    The Bb maj9 isn’t from Minor it is either from Dorian or Mixolydian or from F major if you count the F as a temporary root because it’s the first chord of the sequence
