In addition to her suggestions, ladies *WALK TALL* ! Head up, neck long, & back straight. I always feel an extra inch or 2 taller when I do that! 😉
Posture is everything! I learned from a runway model that the best way to correct your posture is pretend you are holding a lemon between shoulder blades! Fixed the way I stand and I actually get compliments on my posture lol
If you feel confident, you'll feel like you're the tallest in the world :)

Please keep up the series as fashion is always evolving...sometimes it's hard for me to keep up with fashion bc of my height and curves.

Hi! I may do this in the future. For now though I feel like I should stay in my lane because I honestly don't know enough about other body styles to give the best advice possible. As I'm learning though, I will definitely try to work that in in the future. :)
Dearly Bethany Thank you for replying. I’m just giving suggestions but maybe you can talk to someone that is in the fashion/clothes-making industry a little bit more. You could also ask other women/youtubers with body sizes/shapes how they style themselves. Maybe it could add on to your technique or inspire you in some way. Again, you don’t have to follow them but I just wanted to put it out there. Looking forward to seeing your future videos. :)
I love long coats! A nice one can look seriously dressy and are great for keeping legs warmer when wearing a dress even in S.California is been chilly this year. Love! Love! Lately I been craving long beautiful coats. I’m a 5’3 fit petite. Boots are another passion. Lol!
This is such a good idea! I’m pear shaped (wide hips) and short, so being widest at the hips really drags focus down and makes me look really short and dumpy. I’d love for tips to work around this cause I struggle with it the most!
I'd love to see more body types too. I'm 5'2 with an hourglass shape (large breasts and wide hips, size 6). Not sure if the outfits will work on my body frame but I love them so much!

Learning to wear things high-waisted and cinched was one of the first tips I learned as a short girl when I was about 12. No one ever thinks I'm only 5'0 just because of that trick, and I don't even wear a lot of monochrome outfits, although now I'm thinking I'll try it out.

Hey, we're the same height and body type (pear shape). That's really cool! Even amongst petite content creators, it's rare for me to find someone who is as short as I am.
One other thing that I struggle with is that I'm petite but also curvy. And I don't mean curvy as in a weight, but a body type. It's a combination that you don't see very often. Because a lot of petite women are also quite small.
So if this is something you were considering... I would love to see something similar to this. But on a friend/family member with curvy proportions. That would mean so much to me... especially because I feel that you're giving some really good style advice. And your fashion style has been quite inspiring to me :)
same here! but I have been struggling a lot with my weight for the past 3 years or more... :( I always thought I was a bit fat because I've been always a bit curvy, but now I'm really fatter than ever!! :__(
@@duneb.l.6429 same; I'd suggest finding out if you still have a healthy weight using the BMI (body mass index, there are a bunch of calculators on the internet), then if you don't, work towards a healthy average weight, if you do learn to love your body! curvy isn't ugly, it's beautiful!

Did anyone else notice that as soon as she added the belt her thighs got slimmer too
Sadia Hossain saw that as well, but she said she wanted to shorten the skirt and the belt did just that. The shape of her legs were more flattering than before she added the belt.
I have a loooong torso and average legs - 5ft6. I’m going to try some of these tricks to see if I can get my proportions a bit more equal/make my legs look longer. Great video!
wow! Just got to salut you videos! I work in fashion but are 1,58cm - sometimes I get soo frustrated, being around tall people and garments that are just to big - this brings me back to what it's all about. Keep up the inspiration!

We have the same body type. I’m 5’2” and I love your look. I find that layering black clothes (like your first look), wearing high waisted, and wearing sleeveless turtle necks with a shorter length makes me look taller :)

I'm 5ft and i Love the look of long coats but have never been able to find one that makes me look tall. I love that it's monochromatic but because of the accessories it looks really nice and posh. I'd say it looks more french than 70s.

As a short person these vids are great. I’ve learned how to dress a little talkers from my own mom and godmother who are also short, but I like these vids for variety. I do agree with the other comments that you should add more different body types of petite ladies.

Video suggestion!! I like wearing plain or patterned day dresses (not a big fan of tight fitting pants), if you have any style tips about what to pair with day dresses that would be awesome.

Thank you for this helpful information. I’m 5’4”, but I have shorter legs and arms so I have to wear petites in order to get pant legs or shirt/jacket sleeves at the correct length. I like lighter colors as opposed to black because black doesn’t look good on me. So, I’m glad you included something in light colors.

Average height for a woman is 5'4 so you would be considered tall as 5'6 is above average

@@tashawnlove5928 5'6 is not short and being over the average height does make you taller than average, hence 5'4 is average not short. Although as generations appear to be getting taller, the average height will most likely change again

And in my opinion I don’t wear jeans to the floor I think that’s an old hack so what works for me being petite is I show the ankle & the footwear it actually looks much better than the old to the floor coz u lose your feet right so try it out it’s about getting your length & proportions right for your petite body 👍

I was already using all the tips/rules you list in your videos, but i was applying them wrong or in ways that aren't flattering 😅 so these videos and the formatting (plus your in-depth commentary) have been super helpful in allowing me to figure out what I'm doing wrong and how to customize said tips/rules to fit my own proportions (we're the same height but my proportions are a bit different.) I enjoyed this video, which is a first for me regarding makeup and fashion videos. You come across as genuine and intelligent. You have a sweet laugh and a kind voice. I am over five foot nine, but am overweight, so the illusion of height helps. I must say, though, that the hats may have added inches, but they made you look shorter. I love wide brimmed hats, and am wondering what effect those would create.
