In a sea of "how to look younger" videos on RUclips, this video is a breath of fresh air. "Looking the part" is extremely important for a young woman's credibility and skill, and thank you for taking the time to acknowledge that. I wish it were easier for women to just receive basic respect in the workforce without having to change their appearance, but if this is the way it has to be, you did an excellent job of demonstrating some key points. Thank you!!!
It’s hard when patients see me and they’re like “are you even old enough”. I’m always getting doubted. I have been stopped by airport staff saying I can’t travel alone. I feel like I’m getting judged in Victoria secret, like why is this 12 year old looking at lingerie. So can people stop telling me that I’m lucky I look young? It’s not fun to have people treat me like a child and talk down to me like “awh.. sweety... you are so cute” when we’re the same age.
I can totally understand you, I always go buy something at a near store and People there told me little girl or why did you come alone like dude.. Im almost 21 :(
Bri Bri EDM yas is so upsetting, that sometimes brings my confidence down🥺 sometimes I’d like to slap them/ or either run away because of embarrassment. People sometimes are very harsh with their words and they would not realize that what they’ve said might hurt somebody else... Stay safe sis💝
My mum has always looked young. She's almost 50 now and I'm 22. People younger than her treat her like she has no life experience. Then when we say she's my mum they look at her like I'm her mistake... Then when they find out her real age they're confused. It's hilarious now, but she didn't always enjoy it for sure
Baby face disorder is REAL. Thank you for making this. I feel like it’s often easier for people to look younger, retinol is easy to get ahold of, but looking older is a challenge. Contouring can only do so much when you have round cheeks.
OMG, I found my tribe! No one takes me seriously! Yesterday someone said that I was "tooooooo young" to red lipstick 🙄, I"ll be 28 in 6 days. Also, 16 year old boys flirting with me is the worst!
omg i feel you! i'm soon 17 and have these 9-12 year old boys around me looking at me and falling in love.... i notice so many boys having a crush on me and it's so annoying because the boys my age think i'm 13 ughhh
Whenever I go to the mall the only people I notice check me out are high school kids 🙃 like noooo please don't look my way, I'm at least 8 years older than them.
Dearly Bethany I’m 5’2 100lbs and 47 yrs old. I got carded for a glass of wine. It felt pretty good! However...I do feel you when people who are younger than me call me “sweetie!” 😠
It’s about time someone makes a video about this topic. Thank you very much for addressing this. I’m 33 yrs old and my height is 5”4. I’ve been told my entire adult life that i look like I’m in high school. It has always bothered me when people say that to me. I don’t see it as a gift in any way. My husband is 10 yrs older than me and he’s been told by random people that they thought I was his daughter. Before I had my 2 boys, I was often told to put on some weight because apparently I was too thin. I can go on and on about this. I too have also felt that people I have worked with never took me serious including family. I have always felt till this day that people in any room still view me as a kid and it stresses me out every time without fail. I have tried finding ways to present myself more maturely in public events, family get togethers, etc but don’t feel that I have mastered it yet. Thank you very much for providing great advice. I will most definitely be applying this to my day to day life. Thank you!!
I'm a teacher and I have the exact same problem! My middle school students think I look like a highschooler! (And also my peers think this too). I'm also petite and skinny, and have small boobs- which does not help at all!!
Thank you ❤ I’m a tall girl but I have an innocent face I don’t wear any makeup. People always think I’m a lot younger than I look and treat me like I’m fragile not taken so seriously also
Loved this video. I’m turning 28 this year. My twin sister and I deal with this all the time. People who we work with think we’re 16 or 18 and it’s getting to the point when we’re embarrassed to tell people how old we are lol. Im happy while reading the comments that I’m not alone lol. Great tips 💖
A very thoughtful topic, thank you. I am a mature (64 yrs old) petite stature, subscriber, but enjoy your sense of style for any age. The commentary is well curated and assembled. I am glad you have touched upon this topic, as it is not often addressed. P.s. -love the quality of your videos and audio is deep and rich. Keep up the great work.
I love your videos. Your words resonate with me and what stage of life I’m in right now. Whenever I feel down about how influencers encourage buying trendy pieces or low quality garments from fast fashion stores, I watch your videos and think, “this is what style is.”
I went to the ER and they asked for my date of birth 3 times even though I scanned my ID! They told me, "we weren't going to let you in until a parent was present, "we thought you were a'kid' omg, you must get carded a lot, omg!!" My initial thought was they must see some busted ass teenagers. 😂 Last Wednesday day I got stopped at the store b/c the worker thought I had a wine bottle (it was evoo) and I wasn't "allowed" to purchase b/c I'd have to be 21. What?! All of this in 2 weeks! Sheesh. I'm 32 and a grown woman, I demand respect, but I also do NOT want to look older!! 😁😆
Omg thank you for bringing this up!! I have struggled with this for a long time and although I’m still young, it’s one of my biggest pet peeves when people underestimate me for my age. Thank you for sharing your story ❤️
Being petite I found it helpful in my work environment to be slightly overdressed in a classy sense to make myself stood out from my colleague whom don't have the stature problem. It makes me feel confident and noticeable. Thanks to your RUclips blog I've been dressing so much better and getting lovely comments from people.
New subscriber. I am very petite 4’11. I get those discouraging comments often. I’ve recently had multiple people refer to me as little miss this or even that I look like a little kid... I’ve been down for a couple weeks then I found this video!! This has helped mw so much. I’m going to watch a second time.
I’m petite and a baby face too When people ask “how old are you?” I shy away to answer them but when I truthfully do then their like “ohh you look like 12 or 14” although I’m nearly 20 & I get really upset as to why I don’t look according to my own age and I always struggle to look age appropriate & that is a lot of hard work 😓.
Thanks for this video. I don‘t mind looking young in my private life, I mean I AM young. But as a 21 year old it‘s sometimes useful to look more mature in a business setting because people won‘t underestimate you as easily.
Wow I love this. In my personal and romantic life I do not mind looking on the younger side, but it has definitely affected my professional life. I’m not super petite (5’6”) but I’m blonde and have a baby face, and I struggled being confused as an intern when I have a full time position at my company.
I'm 24 and some people think I'm 16. 🤦♀️ I'm so sick of it. Being treated like a baby, people shocked when you tell them how old you are, just let me buy alcohol and live my life in peace
This may be weird but I actually _prefer_ it when people tell me I look younger than my age. Not because I like it (no way, I hate it!) but because it confirms how I think they're perceiving me in the first place. Before, you could have convinced me it was all in my head when people treated me differently - brushing me aside, not giving way, assuming they're more entitled to the space I'm in etc. Now I'm happy because I have evidence. I'm not being delusional or overly sensitive. In all honesty, my experience as a young-looking adult has really shown me how people do not respect children and teenagers nor treat them with the same worth as adults. I knew it as a teen but it depresses me more as a woman in her 20's.
On 27th birthday they gave me a children’s ticket at the museum... also when I was at a neighborhood meeting after i bought my new flat, i was talking to an elderly couple when some said, how nice it was, that I came with my grandparents 😡
At first I got confused why someone would want to look older than they are; but then I was able to relate when I watched the whole video. I am a nurse and when I was in my late 20s and practicing at the hospital, I would always get asked by my patients, “Where is my nurse?” because I was perceived to be younger than my actual age and because of that I was not taken seriously and patients did not find me credible because I looked young and inexperienced. I think one of the reasons your subs love your channel (obviously me included) is because your content resonates. I admire you for that. I’ve been a sub since 200K. Keep on keeping on Bethany!
Constantly being asked by patients if I am the new intern...the struggle of being a petite heath care professional is real lol. Patients have a hard time trusting us with procedures
It's so hard sometimes, especially when you have a generally carefree personality. People don't usually take me seriously when I'm in professional mode. So I want to also look more mature.
I'm so glad you made a video about this topic. Most people say it's a good thing to look so young, but that really isn't always the case. It can be tiring to be looked down on by people constantly. I've also had to change my outfit to look more serious quite often!
Thank You!! No one ever addresses this topic so thank you for considering it. And to all the people who think it's a compliment, believe me it's not, not when you're trying to be taken seriously and know that the person in front of you is taking you lightly thinking he's talking to a kid, especially at work, it sucks.
1000% I can relate! People think I am a student but I’m 40. They think I’m inexperienced, and it can cost me in business (financially) since they don’t think im credible.
I am 29, and I work with high school students. They think I am the high school student most of the time when I am at work..so they don't look at me as a professional. It's kinda annoying when facing my student's parents, they will automatically go ask for help for the " older looking one" instead of me. thanks for the advice.
So happy I found this! On a plane, they tried to move me out of the emergency row because they thought I was 12...I was 19 at the time 😭 Doesn't help I'm 5'2. Love this video!
'You look like 16 but sound like 30' is the most frequent phrase I used to get in my 20s meaning that people mistook me for the child until I talked to them in an eloquent and to-the-point way, not making it personal when discussing something. I think manner of speaking matters more than your looks as it represents your actual maturity. Looking mature is nice too if you want to.
Thought of another tip: Try not to wear too many frayed materials or holes (like in jeans). A tasteful amount can be ok but something that's 50% holes will always make me think young and cheap
I am 28 and until two years ago I had to show my ID to buy alcohol (legal age 18). I look much older now because I have used Latisse on my eyelashes to make them grow, which has removed by periorbital fat. Now I have a sunken look and look significantly older. Not that I recommend doing this lol. It's just funny how a small detail change on the face can change it entirely
You're so right about wearing sweatpants, I was shocked when a woman told me she thought I was 15! (I wasn't wearing make-up, just a hoodie and sweatpants)
It's a compliment to look young "sometimes". I'm 24yo and people all the time always think that I'm 18-20yo. It sometimes feels suck because whenever I go to the pub or bar I always have to show my ID or it's hard to get the date because the guys feel like dating a high school girl *always happened to me* lol.
I have this same problem and I told my Mom how it upsets me. But my Mom told me a lot of it is that 1. People are jealous of your beauty and 2. Those people who say you look young also wished they could look younger 😌✨ (However some of that did come from how I was dressing and carrying myself at the time)
Hi Bethany ☺️ I was wondering whether you could make a video about how to dress professionally for work place environments, that will make you look mature so people will take you seriously and that you look like you actually belong there 😂😂. I’m 21 and I’m about to enter into the corporate/ professional workforce, however every time I dress professionally, i really struggle as I just feel like a little kid playing dress up. So I feel this would be so so helpful ☺️ Thankyou in advance x
I looked 16 when i was 11 and now, at 23 my face still the same. I got my baby fat removed and somehow, i still look young. Is so stressfull for me when i want to even buy something and everyone thinks im a teen. I get such a different amount of respect depending on my looks that this is just what i needed.
I have such a baby face that even with a full beat at age 25, I’m being told that I look 18-19 which is great but I can’t wait to learn about fashion tips that can make me look older. But I do struggle on people taking me seriously cause of the way I naturally look. Despite how eloquently I speak with people.
i do get the same issue i live with it but makes me happy i still look im in high school but i graduated its been 8years from university girls feel happy to look younger
I’m here because I’m new in the work place and there was a worker who ignored me and by the end of the shift he was told I’m 21, he came to me and told me he didn’t want to talk to me because he thought I’m 14, he’s 16. I’m 21. Yup.
I may be late to the game but I am 32 years old and yesterday I went to purchase a purse from Louis Vuitton and the my CA said that I should go for the smaller purse variant because it was more for "younger girls" and the one I was looking at was for older women. Meanwhile, it was just the Alma PM versus the Alma BB lol (I got the BB).
I'm 27, once when I was about 21 I was walking my dog on a weekday, just in old leggings and a t shirt and someone walked past and said 'don't you go to school?' 🙄
Oh my gad I thought no one gets me when I feel frustrated because everybody told me : you look younger (6 or 7 years younger!) Thank you so much for the advice ❤
I'm 22 and everyone thinks I'm a teenager. I had a woman come to my apartment looking for someone else, when I told her I didn't know who she was taking about, she looked at me like I didn't know what I was talking about and asked if my mom was around. I live with my husband and baby lol
It is harder working in an industry like I do where it is important to be flashy and on trend. I've tried dressing up for my age and people in the music industry read into it that Im just a privileged kid. Its either not taken seriously or unearned privilege.
I am petite 5.1 and to top it off I have a baby face 🤦🏻♀️. People don’t take me seriously and treat me like a child at restaurants and other places. I always get ID and yes I can’t change it.
i turned 18 this year but i have the face of a 14 year old and the body of a child. i am 4'7. i went to vote and some old guy said "what is she six " then that same day a different guy told my mom "shes already learning how to drive? 🧐"
I’m 27 and I look 18 apparently but what pissed me off is how everyone doesn’t respect me and treats me like a kid or like I’m inferior.. it’s just frustrating.
Can't everyone see their business? Sometimes i get frustrated and anxious. I think this is why i don't like to go alone on the street or anywhere. I feel like a little child who doesn't have an adult near him, i think that's how they see me. I feel like no one is taking me seriously. It's ugly to tell a person that he/she looks older than he/she actually is so why is it ok to mistake the age of a person who looks younger? Just stop from assuming what age a person is. Just ask . Smh.. people would do anything to insult another person, i don't understand why . It's not fair to be born like this and all your life to endure people's comments, i want peace
I always struggle with clothing. I am 5’2 & 24 y/o and need to get rid of tshirts I can’t make them look feminine or good Is it possible to do a video for petite girls who are easily cold? Sweaters and vests sometimes make me look younger too
So irritating when I get asked "so when are you graduating from high school"? And I've been married for a dozen years... i'm in my 30's. People also think my husband is 15.
I’m quite young. (gen z) But people don’t take my opinions seriously. Because I am 5”. I’m trying to invest in more muted neutral clothing. Also accessories. Other than my all-black aesthetic.
Ok guys can you stop saying “I want to look younger “ in the comments? This is for girls that want to look older .... I have plenty of girl friends that are short and petite, and they try to look more mature and older, people don’t take them seriously.
Same. I am so short but i also have such a young looking face this makes it hard to be taken seriously or get a job. Im almost 20 but i look 14, most people say i look 13 or 14.
This has been my experience in HS, guys my age probably didn't see me as a potential partner because I looked quite younger than my actual age and was also awkward/shy. The situation has changed now, but people still carry on making jokes about how my younger friends look more "adult" than I do. 🙄 I'm quite a late-bloomer in all areas of "adult life", I don't know if it's due to me looking younger than my age, but I definitely think it's correlated and has shaped my experience of the world in some ways
YES!!! It doesn't help that when I am feeling comfortable I have a naturally bubbly, playful personality. Right now I am in a situation where a young male co-worker started flirting with me...he is about 17 years my junior! At 37, I am now seriously beginning to wonder if my ability to marry is going to hinge on how comfortable I am with robbing the cradle. And, if I do meet someone my age, how comfortable are they going to be with the appearance of robbing the cradle themselves? It really makes potential relationships tricky.
Yess. I think about the same thing. I'm 28 and feel people will see me and think I'm too young. The only thing that can help that is the context in which you meet the person.
Yes I understand and my confidence is suffering because of that, I feel like I am not seen as a woman, I am not pretty enough, and that I will never get married...
“Impress your 5 y o self and your 85 y o self. Those are the only people who count” - this is the quote I needed to be hearing throughout my whole life
Im 19 and I’m a petite girl. People usually think I’m around 13 cause I look really young especially on my face. People always underestimate me and act like I’m weak so thank you very much for this video!
Last year I got handed a bunch of pamphlets in a museum to "hand out to my classmates at school"... I graduated university five years ago 😒 I've also been legally allowed to buy alcohol for over 10 years but still get ID'd every single time. It's SO frustrating and one of the worst things is how nobody understands how frustrating it is. I don't care about looking young, I just want to be taken seriously! (Although I do have to say, I got the babyface gene from my mom and she does actually love it now that she's older 😜)
@Loepsie: First of all LOVE YOURSELF.It' your life, you have the right whatever you like. Unfortunately, we are living in a very judgmental society where we have to behave according to their 'IDEAL' vision. Don't pay any heed to others.
Me too: my mom is 51 years old but looks 38/40 and a man thought she was my bigger sister. I'm a young lady from Italy and when I visited London a waiter, a Policeman and an agent of a Museum all wanted to see my ID (the Waiter because I ordered a beer, I don't understand the agent of the Museum Who also said that looking younger I Will be very beautiful in my 40's. I run in the museum, no investigation about It but It was weird). PS: OMG I've just discovered that you have a wonderful Channel and the bangs of my Dreams (next week hairdresser I'm here).
My thing is when people say, "you're so cute" I understand they mean well and that they don't mean to be condescending but it's the fact that when you're "cute" you are automatically simply lesser in a way. You aren't really taken seriously... I just politely smile and say thank you though...
That's the word: "lesser " exactly how I feel and it's exhausting, as a woman you already have to prove your worth so much more to the world. So to have a disadvantage to look "lesser" feels like a curse to be honest , just wanna stay home so I don't have to deal with it !

... and they follow up with "You'll love it when you're older". That never makes it better. :)
A bartender said that to me recently. "You'll love it when you are 35." He was pretty quiet after I handed him my ID. I am 35. 😑
Emily Shea HAHA! I’m 37 and I felt that! 😉
Yes! As if that’s supposed to make us feel better?
This always happens to me too 🤦🏼♀️

I love the advice that you gave. I’m 4’10” 1/2, I’ve never been taken seriously and I’ve been called cute/adorable. But your advice is spot on.
I’m average height and I 💯 understand where you are coming from.
I am 29, and I work with high school students. They think I am the high school student most of the time when I am at work..so they don't look at me as a professional. It's kinda annoying when facing my student's parents, they will automatically go ask for help for the " older looking one" instead of me. thanks for the advice.
This was very helpful, thank you!! The worst was when I had a teenage waiter ask if I was old enough to drink coffee!! (I'm in my thirties...)
I'm 21, just started my second degree... and got asked if I wanted the kids menu this weekend at a restaurant
So happy I found this! On a plane, they tried to move me out of the emergency row because they thought I was 12...I was 19 at the time 😭 Doesn't help I'm 5'2. Love this video!
I’m actually tall and get mistaken for a lot younger. I’m a 26 year old mum and someone said “look she’s about 19 with a baby” 🙄
I love the bonus tip! That was brilliant. I wish you had explained more about wardrobe choices though. But the bonus tip was great!
I’m 27 and people think I’m 14-15. Thank you so much for this!!
Thought of another tip:
Try not to wear too many frayed materials or holes (like in jeans). A tasteful amount can be ok but something that's 50% holes will always make me think young and cheap
just found your channel and I'm so glad you have a video on this topic!!! I get this all the time aaghhh
Okay I’m glad I saw this in my recommended since I get it all the time that I look younger than my age. I’m 22 and people say I look 16.
This is so good! Thank you for sharing. I’m Asian American and also 5’1 so this hit the spot but also empowering. Thank you!
I love the wooden interior!
Thank you for these tips! I am 25 and I had someone ask me the other day if I had started learning how to drive yet...
I'm 19 and I look 30, I am trying to look younger 😂
moli1623 Take care of your skin and apply sunscreen regularly. Drink plenty of water and eat well. Healthy skin will help you look youthful.
Take those tips as not to do, and you will be fine lol
so this video is not for you 🤔
@Kaitlin Pages girl same! 😂The struggle is real
🤣🤣🤣 right!
i do get the same issue i live with it but makes me happy i still look im in high school but i graduated its been 8years from university girls feel happy to look younger
I've had people knock on my door and ask for my mother as soon as they see me. I'm 30 years old!! >_
As an almost 33yr old, I WANT to look young, but yet I also want to be taken seriously & respected. It's a balance I'm not good at.
I’m here because I’m new in the work place and there was a worker who ignored me and by the end of the shift he was told I’m 21, he came to me and told me he didn’t want to talk to me because he thought I’m 14, he’s 16. I’m 21. Yup.
Oh and one time I was buying beer and the cashier told me I look like I’m in elementary school
I hate wearing makeup, but at this point I'll try whatever makes me look my age 😫
take care 🤍
I'm 27, once when I was about 21 I was walking my dog on a weekday, just in old leggings and a t shirt and someone walked past and said 'don't you go to school?' 🙄
Thank you for this video! It is good to know I'm not alone out there. Definitely gonna go on a much-needed shopping spree in the near future!
This video is very helpful. I try to stay a way from bright colors/graphic tees.
Oh my gad I thought no one gets me when I feel frustrated because everybody told me : you look younger (6 or 7 years younger!)
Thank you so much for the advice ❤
Thanks for all the advices, now I am 23 yo, and many people says that I look like 16 yo.
I made mistake of cutting off my hair... Aaaaaand getting bangs. You can imagine what followed lol
the confidence tip was so good!!
I'm 22 and everyone thinks I'm a teenager. I had a woman come to my apartment looking for someone else, when I told her I didn't know who she was taking about, she looked at me like I didn't know what I was talking about and asked if my mom was around. I live with my husband and baby lol
Really enjoyed this vid and the whole concept of it. I look a lot younger than I am and it’s really frustrating sometimes.
It is harder working in an industry like I do where it is important to be flashy and on trend. I've tried dressing up for my age and people in the music industry read into it that Im just a privileged kid. Its either not taken seriously or unearned privilege.
Excellent video!! I use to have this problem when I was 20...
Excellent video like always...
I'm just calmed down and wait for another 10 years will pass, when I finally start look like 20. I'm 28 now.
I'm just here to make all the things on the contrary, because I want to look younger.
I am petite 5.1 and to top it off I have a baby face 🤦🏻♀️. People don’t take me seriously and treat me like a child at restaurants and other places. I always get ID and yes I can’t change it.
Can you do a styling video on “how to look luxurious for bargain-looking face”
Watching this because I’m 16 in just over a week and people keep thinking I’m 12 or 13, it’s so frustrating
i turned 18 this year but i have the face of a 14 year old and the body of a child. i am 4'7. i went to vote and some old guy said "what is she six "
then that same day a different guy told my mom "shes already learning how to drive? 🧐"
I’m 27 and I look 18 apparently but what pissed me off is how everyone doesn’t respect me and treats me like a kid or like I’m inferior.. it’s just frustrating.
I'm in the same boat. Thanks for sharing this
I'm a middle school math teacher and kids say I look like I just finished high school. I actually have a masters degree 😢
Yes people are so patronising to me I’m petit and look younger!
So good!Absolutely relatable!
your voice is so relaxing
I am 5’2 & 24 y/o and need to get rid of tshirts I can’t make them look feminine or good
Is it possible to do a video for petite girls who are easily cold? Sweaters and vests sometimes make me look younger too
So irritating when I get asked "so when are you graduating from high school"? And I've been married for a dozen years... i'm in my 30's. People also think my husband is 15.
I totally relate to that topic.
I’m quite young. (gen z) But people don’t take my opinions seriously. Because I am 5”. I’m trying to invest in more muted neutral clothing. Also accessories. Other than my all-black aesthetic.
finally someone that addresses this!
Looking young is a curse when you are dating someone older..people stare at us like he has kidnapped me and I am looking for my mum
Oh no...
so Lucky I am my boyfriend is not that tall so that People dont believe he kidnapped me 😅
i feel you
Same!!
Once i went to a date with guy my age, and were mistaken for a divorced daddy and his teenage daughter. 🙈🤣
That guy’s face was priceless.
Ok guys can you stop saying “I want to look younger “ in the comments? This is for girls that want to look older .... I have plenty of girl friends that are short and petite, and they try to look more mature and older, people don’t take them seriously.
kadacho that’s exactly why I’m here haha
Those comments are so annoying! Not every video is made for you, ok; we don’t care if you like looking young
Drizzy Roses same
@@laurenlestrange7417 exactly people think every video should be for them
Drizzy Roses literally me people at work never take me serious
This is my favourite comment section ever. This makes me feel I am not alone.
Me too! I'm just scrolling and scrolling and so happy to find I'm not the only one with this problem!
So true!
Same. I am so short but i also have such a young looking face this makes it hard to be taken seriously or get a job. Im almost 20 but i look 14, most people say i look 13 or 14.
Sis me also only 5 ft.🙂❤️
@@destiny8967 damn it's mee 😭😩
I can feel you girl ❤
For me, it's not only my career. I find it hard meeting a potential partner, as at first sight they automatically categorize me as 'too young'
Thank u!!!! Sameee
This has been my experience in HS, guys my age probably didn't see me as a potential partner because I looked quite younger than my actual age and was also awkward/shy. The situation has changed now, but people still carry on making jokes about how my younger friends look more "adult" than I do. 🙄
I'm quite a late-bloomer in all areas of "adult life", I don't know if it's due to me looking younger than my age, but I definitely think it's correlated and has shaped my experience of the world in some ways
For me its not the fact that I am petite, its that I still got that babyface even with makeup on :(
Edit: 2k Holy people 😳🤭
I love it when people think I'm extremely young.
mynameisarte i domt ever wear bright lip cos it makes me
Look lkke a baby with too much make up LOL
Same😊
I relate to this so much. Even if i wear mature clothing, i just look like a high schooler wearing her mom's clothes lmao
Me too!
“Impress your 5 y o self and your 85 y o self. Those are the only people who count” - this is the quote I needed to be hearing throughout my whole life
Exactly.
woww
Im 19 and I’m a petite girl. People usually think I’m around 13 cause I look really young especially on my face. People always underestimate me and act like I’m weak so thank you very much for this video!
Same but I'm 21. They think I'm 13 🤦
23 and I can pass as a 15 yr old
Same I’m 17 and I look like 12 yrs old 😭
Same 🤧 due to my small face 😂
I’m 21 and every person says I look 12
And I’m like can’t u at least make me a teenager like cmon lol
So your probably gonna be like me 30 looking like a young teen
Girl same about to be 21 and I get mistaken for a 13 year old
💀💀 I feel you sis
Hey I'm 29 and I am finally looking like a 21 so there's hope out there hahaha
Lol when I was 19 someone thought I was 13
I feel your pain :(
Last year I got handed a bunch of pamphlets in a museum to "hand out to my classmates at school"...
O wow Loepsie
@Loepsie: First of all LOVE YOURSELF.It' your life, you have the right whatever you like. Unfortunately, we are living in a very judgmental society where we have to behave according to their 'IDEAL' vision. Don't pay any heed to others.
@Loepsie I love your channel and all your vintage inspired looks!
Sara Richiedei that must suck
My thing is when people say, "you're so cute" I understand they mean well and that they don't mean to be condescending but it's the fact that when you're "cute" you are automatically simply lesser in a way. You aren't really taken seriously... I just politely smile and say thank you though...
One time a dude told me, “you’re not a pretty girl, you’re a cute girl”. And I’m still trying to figure out what it means (‘:
Jenna Leanne It just means that he is rude and it has nothing to do with you. You are gorgeous!
trueeeeeeee
That’s the way I feel! I’m so relieved to have found someone who understands me because I thought I was going through this alone.
That's the word: "lesser " exactly how I feel and it's exhausting, as a woman you already have to prove your worth so much more to the world. So to have a disadvantage to look "lesser" feels like a curse to be honest , just wanna stay home so I don't have to deal with it !
The worst part is that even when I dress to look “older”, I look like a little girl who’s wearing her mom’s clothes.😔
girl, same 🙄
Aleida Espinoza bangs definitely make a person look younger bub
That's when you get a tailor or only buy things that already fit properly.
I feel like 2 kids in a trench coat when I do, you know, like in cartoons 😅
Oh my god. I feel you on this one 😭
