Step 1 was really important for me. I went for a rhinoplasty consultation. The surgeon recommended I lose weight first. I ended up losing 30 pounds and the change was so dramatic on my face that I changed my mind.
@Sharath Nair it can because if you have a lot of facial fat everything gets wider and plumper. Loosing weight on your cheeks and chin might make you more proportioned and make you nose look larger or smaller ( depending on where fat is deposited) so it's more like the whole facial composition changes with weight loss.
Very curious. Please tell me your height and current weight. I would like to calculate your BMI. I (1.77m 78kg) lose weight myself now, actively exercise 5-6 a week, my weight is slowly changing, I want to understand approximately when I will notice that my face will start to looks less fatty.

"the best plastic surgery is weight loss" as they say in South Korea. I definitely noticed after losing 50lbs, I got a lot more attention, compliments, and favors from both genders. When I had more body fat, no one paid attention to me.

Apparently Mewing (always breathe through your nose though), and plastic surgery might be good?
@@vanshmahajan4287 Sorry for the late response I did not see this reply. The first thing I want to state is that my changes did not happen overnight. We talking about as long as 2 years and a half of constantly improving my physical appearence slowly overtime adding new things. I used to be 125lbs at 5'10 (Super Skinny). I've been working out for over 2 years now and managed to get to get to 160lbs after bulking and cutting. Working out changes your whole appearence, clothes will look much better on you than other people, you will stand out more, your shoulders and neck widen which is proven to be more attractive. If you have lower body fat your face features can be enhanced such as cheekbones and jawline. I also started a skin care routines about a year ago, using regular things like cleansers, moisturizers, sun screen, and lotion. These things really make a difference and girls will notice your skin being better than other guys which can lead to conversations about your skin care routine. I found the perfect hairstyle for my face which is a messy middle part with around 3.5-5 inches of hair. I also started to shape my eyebrows into a better shape every week. I used minoxidil to get a better beard and grow hair in my patches. This goes along with finding a beard style that suits you as well as mainting it every week. I started to take finastride around 5 months ago to stop hair loss as I noticed I was losing my head hair which has gotten much better now and still improving. I started using contact lenses instead of glasses which show off my eyes better. I also changed my wardrobe to better match my appearence. I forgot to mention I used whitening strips to whiten my teeth and I use lip balms to keep my lips moisturized. It may sound like a lot but I have no problem keeping up with everything.
Definitely beauty is how you treat yourself- the food u eat, the excercises, your posture, skincare, the info you feed your mind, yoga & meditation, your personality, people around you & healthy relationships etc- beauty is a lot of factors.
Yet every single example he shows is a celebrity that got cosmetic work done and definitely did not follow this advice. It's just misleading to use those examples. Even the thumbnail shows a girl with a nose job, lip filler, possible brow lift.. yeah supplements will do that for you.
The stop picking your pimples one is so true, I always do it and I'm a compulsive picker but its not worth it. Yesterday I picked one small pimple that turned into a huge wound on my chest, I'm buying silicone gel rn to avoid the scarring.

0:31 not just beta carotene, but other carotenoids that contribute to the glow include lutein and zeaxanthin, which are the yellow pigment found in leafy greens (hidden by the chlorophyll). I would recommend not just getting beta carotene, because that can make you too orange. The other carotenoids can help without turning a person overly orange.
@@ythelldoineedahandle Lutein and zeaxanthin are apparently also good for brain and nervous system health. There are only good side effects from eating healthy.
I'm not against accutane but I don't think u should recommend it this lightly. It can have some really bad side effects like depression, problems with fertility and development during puberty, overall body dryness, hair falling out, etc etc. We have free health care in my country and a guy I know that had extremely bad acne (it was paintful and bleeding, he couldn't sleep bc of how paintful it was), he went to every single dermatologist in our town and only one out of many decided to prescribe him accutane. His face did clear up, but his hair started falling out at 16.
I did accutane twice and there was a 6months pause between them sadly acne came back with the same quantity but I found a suitable safer skincare routine prescribed by another dermatologist. I suffered from a lot of medical issues during these periods and I never recommend it to anyone it has more negative sides than good ones.
@Emily Wood yeah I wasn't sure about women 100% having to take BC but thanks for confirming it. Which is understandable, but still kinda crazy since birth control by itself can leave a big impact on woman's body and hormones; many women get acne or get rid of acne by taking it alone, or they can start getting acne once they get off BC.
For people struggling with acne here even with a full skincare of cleanser, moisturizer, sunscreen, and retinol (all of these in my opinion are mandatory other ingridients are extra depending on your specific skin concern), you may notice that you're acne still isn't going away. I reccomend reducing eating dairy, sugar, and unhealthy foods in general. If you can't eat healthy food due to budget issues, reducing dairy and sugar is good too. Dairy is a BIG trigger of acne and reducing it might help clear it. Whey and Casein protein powder had dairy in them so I suggest switching to vegan to reduce dairy intake(do note this tastes awful but try to hold on). Key word, REDUCE. You dont want to develop an eating disorder stopping yourself eating "bad" foods all the time and then proceeding to binge eat and feel awful about yourself. Eat what you love occassionally but not all the time. Also sleep and stress are also factors for acne. Get enough sleep and try to manage your stress. Btw some people dont need 8 hours of sleep, some need 9 or 6 but as long as you sleep at a consistent time (like 11 PM - 7 AM) for a 2 weeks and just adjust if you feel like you dont have enough sleep or you have too much. For stress, I dont know as I'm struggling with this too but going to a theraphist and journaling my thoughts really helps. Good luck to everyone out there!
True when I stopped taking contraceptive I got a lot of pimples and couldnt get rid of them for years so I thought it surely came from this hormone imbalance. Also had a bit of a bloating problem but not enough to think any of it. Just this year I had to run to the bathroom right after drinking kakao. Seems like Im lactose intolerant but never really drunk enough of for obvious effects. Switching to lactose free milk and avoiding other milk products already cleared my skin up a lot.
stop reducing acne to a few causes. I had acne for 6 years and cutting dairy did nothing. people need to undersstand what are the root causes of THEIR acne. btw, there are well informed and helpfuld accounts on acne on instagram that explore the topic completely. Giving such general advices don't help. you try, it doesn't work and you feel hopeless. that's a vicious circle for mental health. if someone having acne is reading this, you will heal someday ;) acne is hard but you just need to find the cause!
As a femininity coach, i appreciate this message! I’d love to see more influencers speak on their own personal tough days, and what it looks like to overcome to inspire self-acceptance of imperfection as well!
For many people with acne, I think OTC Differin (adapalene) or prescribed Retin-A/Micro (tretinoin) would be a healthier step than jumping straight to Accutane (isotretinoin). If salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide have not worked, a simple regimen of unmedicated face wash, moisturiser, adapalene ideally only at night and daily sunscreen could be transformative.
Wow, most of the video content related to being attractive that I found was in the form of personal hygiene & skincare, as well as dressing & makeup according to facial features. of course the content is helpful, but I never knew there was something or scientific reason that discussed the other side of facial features and why they can be attractive. New things! Really helpful! Thanks a lot! ✨

Caloric deficit, 2-3 days strength training plus incorporate daily walks. It's that easy. Don't cut out toooo much calories tho coz that's a higher chance of relapsing. 200-300 calories less plus walking for 45mins - 1hr will definitely be more beneficial.
@@eunoia7429 true but how do i count calories, especiallly for the food i make for myself at home...? Also, quetsion, if anyone can answer: how long does it take someone to lose 20 kg (on a faster note)?
@@4malzahra For your question, I'd say abt 2 - 6 months if you're consistent with exercise, diet etc but that solely depends on your starting weight, gender, height, age. I'm 170cm, female, 19 (I was 18 when I started losing weight) and it took me 2 months to go from 78kgs to 65kgs. Don't. Count. Calories. I'm saying this from my experience, my best friend's experience and my cousin's experience. We ended up with an ED and one of us got hospitalised for it. We started obsessing over how many calories went into our bodies (maybe u think I'm being extreme but it's very easy to develop an ED). Find your maintenance calories and minus 200-300 calories from that. To get a general idea of the calories in your ingredients just Google or look at the package. For example, one cooked slice of bacon is between 38-45 calories. So you know on average what your putting into your body. I'm on a Mediterranean diet which has enabled me to stop counting calories coz I eat veggies, protein, healthy carbs and sugars. So I have 3 big healthy meals a day and some water based snacks like pickles, celery, watermelon, oranges etc. I went from 65kgs to 59kgs in a number of 5 and a half weeks by eating fruits and veggies, drinking 2L of water and (slow) walking for an hour and a half everyday
Everyone's different. For me intermittent fasting works the best. I don't always fast - only if I notice that I've started gaining weight again. When I do fast I only drink water and tea without sugar overnight and during the day. At about 2 to 4pm I'll start eating. Usually a snack. Then I have a large dinner with lots of protein and even snacks and dessert throughout the night, as long as I stop at about 10pm. I find doing it that way extremely effortless and it seems to fit in with what my body intuitively wants to do. If you're extremely hungry in the mornings naturally then you can move the fasting period.
Science, for now, can only agree that rock bottom minimum body fat for women is 8-12%, but very broadly, women stop menstruating and start running into problems when they get under 18% body fat. The long term consequences of underweight are osteoporosis, cardiovascular disease, infertility, disruption of any process that requires estrogen. I encourage everyone to think very critically about why social constructs of beauty would fall under this threshold.
Well athletes decrease their body fat percentage by having a lot of muscle, not by decreasing the weight of fat. Non-athletes with every low body fat are underwieght.
Lol no one is telling you to be underweight. The threshold to being underweight is very slim compared to overweight. Just don't be a glutton with a triple chin and be a healthy weight
For men, 8% body fat is not healthy or sustainable unless you’re on drugs or some kind of genetic anomaly. I even have issues with 10% as it is doable but that’s for like very disciplined and pretty strict people. Most men should go for 12-15% because you’ll still look good and it’s more sustainable to do year round, idk where this guy is getting the 8% figure from, that’s insane.
well one tip to be able to better maintain leaner bodyfats is to increase the amount of muscle mass, this changes the insulin sensitivity so the more muscle you have the more likely your body is to want to burn fat than to burn muscle so its easier to keep that lean under 10% bodyfat, channels like moreplatesmoredates cover this quite a lot and have some useful tips if you want to know more
@@arturogonzalez6184 how many men are athletes tho? And honestly I can’t even think of many sports besides like bodybuilding where 8% body fat is considered optimal. @@larryboi2706 Eh. Looking the best is directly tied to healthiness and most people are attracted to that range of body fat and not 8% or below, that's where you start hearing girls say that he's too muscular to the point it's no longer that appealing. It's only really ideal in certain competitive athletic environments (not a lot even aim for that), and it's not manageable all year around for the majority of people for a reason.
The best glow up to have is to already have a good baseline bone structure. Bone structure is what fundamentally determines attractiveness before anything else. Having facial reconstruction surgery fixing a downsung face and all the negative effects that come with that, which a lot of people have, is what will glow you up.
I’ve done so much research on jaw surgery because I would like to have it done and some results look astonishing. Buuuut the side effects can be horrible. Body dysmorphia, numb parts in the face, crooked smile, swelling…no thx
I notice some random days I look pretty but then I go back to looking raggedy. Its probably my diet and sleep which are not consistent. The times I drink and eat well, I look good lol The head position makes a huge difference too! I've got almond shaped eyes and sharp eyebrows so when I tuck my chin in and lift my ears up, it pulls them back and I suddenly have bedroom eyes. I can understand why people get their forehead lifted lol
I would love for you to do an analysis on Rosie-Huntington Whitely! She is very obviously beautiful and is one of the best and most attractive Victoria’s Secret models but she has very noticeable eye asymmetry. Her left eye sits significantly higher than her right eye and is easily noticeable but she is still well above average. I’ve wondered if it is because the rest of her features are so beautiful and striking that it overshadows her greater than average eye asymmetry. I’ve often wondered at what point does it significantly affect attractiveness and if some people (like her) can get a pass for very noticeable asymmetry because the rest of their features are so striking that it out shadows even those noticeable flaws.
If you’re like me and struggle to not pop pimples. (I have the strong urge to pick at everything.) you could get some hydrocolloid strips. Not sure how good they are for you, but just having something there to block my fingers from picking definitely helps.
I guess the only struggle for me would be objectively looking at my proportions e.g eye distance, forehead, overbite/underbite…sometimes it’s hard to truly see your own features as they are.
Fan of the evidence based view of aesthetics but should emphasise that correcting underbites/overbites after puberty is absolutely not a "simple" step. Comparing it in simplicity to head tilt or not popping pimples is particularly ridiculous. Orthognatic surgery is far from a simple cosmetic procedure. It impacts some of the most sensitive nerves in the human body, and while it can be associated with life changing functional improvements, the risks of long-term neuropathy and TMD shouldn't be minimised. The total pre and post op care is also significant in terms of time and financial outley (years and 10s of thousands of dollars respectively)
I do think these are helpful tips to improve one’s natural appearance. With that being said, I wish they didn’t have an edited thumbnail for the video.
This is pure brilliance! It connects with the transformative teachings I gained from my lifecoach Lisa Haisha during a retreat in the Philippines. Both your steps and her guidance inspire greatness in the journey of personal transformation. Cheers to radiant glow-ups and the beauty of self-improvement!
These are great tips. It would be interesting to see a video on having facial features that aren't typical for your race. I fit every single korean beauty standard except for pale skin and I'm not Asian but I live in a western country. Its kind of hard seeing people fitting the modern western beauty standards across social media knowing you're the odd one out with the polar opposite features. Korean beauty standards are kind of the polar opposite of western ones so I struggle to accept that I am very beautiful based on people's reaction to me, just in a 'different' way.
This seems more like an internal struggle. There's a point where you can't change your body and mental self-love practices, and increasing your self confidence are what you need more.
@@Alana-yo6hi Large doe eyes with scleral show but hooded, high and prominent nose bride, heart shaped lips with a thin upper lip, quail egg face shape, straight eyebrows and small face relative to my body.
Korean "beauty standards" are literally a rip off of European fatures. That's where their obsession with oval faces, pale skin, huge eyes (with coloured lenses), poker straightened hair, and high patrician noses comes from. High nose bridge word is literally patrician due to European royalty. Koreans and Asians in general have rounder wider faces and flatter heads, very small narrow monolid eyes where even the iris doesn't show up as a full round (which is why they get enlargement and double lid surgery and wear "circle lenses to have anime round eyes visible) Not a single "Korean" beauty trait is found naturally in 99% of their population without surgery. Cha Eunwoo types are .0001%of their natural population. Rest literally break their whole faces with hammer like Karina and become 90% silicone and fake. Asians are literally known for flatter (not bigger) noses. Also if you're not pale you fail the very first step of "Korean beauty" which is 100% centered around paleness and being "milk white and soft". So you'd be considered a 1/10 in their country and culture with even just brown skin. Get off your delusions and learnt to love what your parents gave you. Nobody in Korea will like you and if you're not tall, light eyed and at least dye your hair light in western hemisphere you're a 4/10 in the west too competing with gorgeous women in the dating pool. Below average in both east asia and the west as their populations would deem you below average if youre not light skinned. You'll only be above avg in your immigrant/nation of origin so find a partner from there and learn to appreciate that your DNA will never be white or East Asian nor will you EVER fit their standards of beauty. You're your own DNA's.

i read somewhere that your voice is half your beauty. and from personal experience, i once met a very beautiful woman, very well dressed and all, but as soon as she started to speak, her attractiveness went down instantly, it's not just about the pitch etc of your voice, but it can also include the way u speak including ur tone, speed, choice of words, accent(this varies culturally tho) but ur voice and the way u speak can contrinute a lot to ur level of attractiveness for sure
Don't forget one of the most important ways to keep the sclera clear and bright- wearing sunglasses every single time you go outside. I didn't and I have sun damage in my eyes at only 27. Fortunately, I caught it early enough and it isn't particularly noticeable. Prevention is always easier than reversal :).
One of my biggest problem is my eyes, the shape is good but the stare, idk how to explain it since my english is not that good, but my stare look empty, scary and weird. Can you talk abt it and how can i change it?
I don’t like the notion that bodyfat is inherently seen as less attractive. That’s honestly just preference. While most people want to have clear skin, a cool haircut and basic hygiene, I don’t think the size of your body plays into that too much (if it’s not too extreme). I know these tips are based on society’s beauty standards but that might also be the issue. Not everyone is into athletic and buff people and this just comes across as a bit fat-shamey. We shouldn’t make women (and ppl in general) feel like they’re only attractive when they’re skinny, since this is the root cause for a lot of self esteem issues, eating disorders and perpetuated by sexism. As mentioned in other comments, being underweight is not sustainable and unhealthy in the long run. Being heavily overweight is dangerous as well ofc, but why aren’t we talking about a normal, mid sized body here? And what about things non-related to appearance? Everyone knows that skinny and pretty is the beauty standard. But it’s just not achievable for a lot of people. When I read Glowup i thought about things like confidence, mental health, self-fulfilment etc. and I’m pretty disappointed. But I guess I just landed on the wrong side of RUclips.
I actually thought on going on acutane for my acne since I already tried differin. But you know what improved my acne dramatically. It's washing and rinsing properly. I used to get acne on my chin a lot. Since i only washed on the sink but now I wash my face in the shower. It's the same products: oil cleanser and water based clenser. But I rinse wery well and my acne is fading away. I didn't change my diet or products. As I did before I use a form a retinol a few times per week(when I remember, or even less) I just tie my hair very well and cover it, then brush my teeth and then cleanse my face with hydrofil oil then I get in the shoewer and use a gentle face wash not even one with salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. Now I'm only left with post acne pigmentation.
I have natural eye bag, after my dad no matter how much I sleep and eat well they won't go away . What treatment would you reccomend? A filler or a laser treatment?? I am pretty young myself and really knew to all that. Very insecure about my eye bags.
No matter what i do I can't seem to get rid of my hyper pigmentation and my textured skin I try my best to find products within my budget Like using ordinary azelaic acid suspension 10 etc But nothing is helping, my skin is drying out And the texture is getting worse with large pores & stuff
We need a video on how to loose just face fat cuz some of us girlies and already skinny as hell and loosing more weight will prolly make us look like skeletons walking around with only the skin attached smh
Yes please. I only find advice on losing face fat through losing fat overall but my body fat percentage is already low and I always have a fat face, no matter my weight. Even when I've been very underweight I had fat cheeks!
You can't target just fat on the face. Estrogen, which females have more of cause rounder faces, as well as your general genetics. The best advice is to start putting on a bit of muscle to get whatever testosterone is in your body flowing and help it produce more.
Step 1 was really important for me. I went for a rhinoplasty consultation. The surgeon recommended I lose weight first. I ended up losing 30 pounds and the change was so dramatic on my face that I changed my mind.
That's a good surgeon
so loosing facial fat changed how your nose looked?

Talk to your doctor, research, develop a healthy routine, etc. Good hairstyle? Hit up your barber, find hairstyles that fit your face (this video scratches the surface on some factors that play into which hairstyle fits your face), learn to take care of your hair. My eyebrow and body fat comment? Pretty self explanatory.
Notes exist for a reason and clearly, quite a few people found this helpful.

Physical (become fit and do a bit of bodybuilding, sleep well, drink lots of water and eat healthy, take care of your skin, good hair cut, shower, take care of teeth, smell nice, wear a good fit on you).
Mental (be confident, have a social life, be happy - depression and anxiety have physical health effects, which can also make you look worse).
Those are some of the more important things. Apparently Mewing (always breathe through your nose though), and plastic surgery might be good?
What changes have you made?
@@vanshmahajan4287
Sorry for the late response I did not see this reply.

I think that is tellogen effluvium hairloss. It usually grows back after a while?
Danish Skin Care is the skincare solution you want to get if you want to clear up your face.
I did accutane twice and there was a 6months pause between them sadly acne came back with the same quantity but I found a suitable safer skincare routine prescribed by another dermatologist. I suffered from a lot of medical issues during these periods and I never recommend it to anyone it has more negative sides than good ones.
Thank you for writing what I was thinking, it is damaging for the body. You need to solve the underlying issue not the symtom!
I would love an episode on hairstyles for facial balance
What about face scars
@@frog6054 Retinol, sunblock, and wait for a year. Acne scars are harder to cure so I'd reccomend to go to a derma if it's really really bad.
stop reducing acne to a few causes. I had acne for 6 years and cutting dairy did nothing. people need to undersstand what are the root causes of THEIR acne. btw, there are well informed and helpfuld accounts on acne on instagram that explore the topic completely.

Caloric deficit
Really appreciate the info the give rather than just stating “oh get sleep and lose weight”
18% body fat is too much, that's like 10 extra kilograms for no reason. You can be healthy with half of that or even less.

There's a point where you can't change your body and mental self-love practices, and increasing your self confidence are what you need more.
what are your features?

Beauty ( no matter)
Money (matter 💰)
That's why I enjoy staying at home where I can be ugly in peace...

As I did before I use a form a retinol a few times per week(when I remember, or even less)
I just tie my hair very well and cover it, then brush my teeth and then cleanse my face with hydrofil oil then I get in the shoewer and use a gentle face wash not even one with salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide.
Now I'm only left with post acne pigmentation.
I have noted down all the points. I am going to make videos of my glowup
fine facial features is everything to women
I have natural eye bag, after my dad no matter how much I sleep and eat well they won't go away . What treatment would you reccomend? A filler or a laser treatment?? I am pretty young myself and really knew to all that. Very insecure about my eye bags.
laser won't treat bags. Do filler. Laser would only care for the color - you can see the approximation by using a color corrector under your eyes
@@randomthinkingindividual oh okay thanks
No matter what i do
I can't seem to get rid of my hyper pigmentation and my textured skin
I try my best to find products within my budget
Like using ordinary azelaic acid suspension 10 etc
But nothing is helping, my skin is drying out
And the texture is getting worse with large pores & stuff
We need a video on how to loose just face fat cuz some of us girlies and already skinny as hell and loosing more weight will prolly make us look like skeletons walking around with only the skin attached smh
If it's genuinely fat you cannot spot treat it without surgical intervention. If your face is the last place to lose fat this is just your genetics.
