I have to disagree eye and eye brow are important to communicate but jaw let put it in perspective someone with f up jaw couldn't sleep eat and talk properly
It’s so funny how much personality can change a traditionally unattractive face. I have completely changed my opinion on the attractiveness of a person based on personality alone.
@@bespectacledperson2316 I know exactly what you mean. All the ones with fantastic personalities are usually kinda ugly, looks wise. I have yet to find a man who’s physically attractive with a nice personality 😂
I actualy been together 3 years with a toxic overwheight person that made fun of me having eating disorder, often i got like 97kg, then back to 70-80kg, and it would complectly change me or i look too slender or too fat, and that person was just fat and keep said "you're lossing weight because you're starving so yeh" meanwhile me strugling to eat, then i would fall on the oter extreme starting to eat 24/24 until i couldn't handle my body anymore. And the person beside that was like last body that god gave to it,. still had a opinion on how a guy should look to be hot to fit it's likes... Which would totaly destroy my self-sstern. So i got to the point where there are many peoples that are obese or too slender and have the trashiest personality you could even find, you know how you can find it out? Easy feed them confidence and you will see when they feel like they can step on anyone they will step on you too, is how it happened to me too, from seeing my ex on web by mistake and telling me "yeah you saw me now we will broke up cuz im ugly" indeed wasan't a walking gucci model, but i loved the person as it was, to the point i gave to that fvking ex so much empowerement and self-estern that in the end i was told "you dress that way to turn on peoples" "you lose weight because you starve" and many other bad things, i'm damanged assfk now mental, and i try my best to feel better let alone ,i have no friends anymore or relationship. 100% true, you’re lucky if you had a proper development as a child. Sadly I didn’t. If you look through all of my baby and child fotos you’ll see me opening my mouth 90% if the time… my parents would tell me to close my mouth but well, I couldn’t. My family members smoke so that might have been a factor, although I know many people who have family members who smoke a lot more, and they turned out to be way more attractive than me
True, as a child i had very strong teeth, and the adult teeth would come out before before my baby ones even started budging, my parents had me have multiple extractions, even for when any tooth went bad theyd just have extractions leaving enormous gaps in my teeth, and well the order was lost. My teeth became crooked af,and i had two extractions on adult canine teeth that couldnt fit in my smaller mouth. I never got braces even and of course was never warned about mouth breathing, im probably to get a machine to help with my maxilla expansion, though i dont know how possible because im almost 17, and then get braces after YEARS of having crooked af teeth.
I disagree. I was a mouth breather with a shit diet until the age of 19, lost weight and I have a wide jaw with high set cheekbones and hollow cheeks lol
Omg this is so spot on. No one could know it better than me. I'd have literally a better face structure if my parents cared about my jaw development in my childhood. 5 of my teeth were extracted before even i reached 12. And these are the main molars and a pre molar. This ruined my jaw and even today i don't have those teeth. One day i wanna be so rich that i can afford implants for myself. I really want to earn a lot of money just for this reason
that's true, but my orthodentic problems r genetic tho, I always had proper tongue posture and breathe properly, the thing is I inherited my dad's face shape and he has a recessed mandible (which I inherited😭), so I need to get braces and jaw surgery bcs the issues were noticeable at the end of my teen years (im 17 rn) im actually grateful for that bcs my maxilla had the time to grow forward
then everyone would look the same, isn't that what many people have been observing lately?? that in social media and in plastic surgeon's/nurses' offices women are morphing into the same look?? i think that if everyone could change their looks they would immediately go for the GLAMOUR FILTER which pretty much sums up what we just learned from QOVES!! i can see MOST bringing a screenshot of their version to their beauty advisor/filler nurse/dr.,etc.for sure there's going to be A LOT of catfishing and deception going on just from that filter--the filter should come with some sort of warning to prevent future heartbreak !!
We should encourage children to study more so we can get more doctors and from there we can get more plastic surgeons. Millions of students graduate every year but only a handful have the interest and the intellect to become doctors. And from that handful you get just a sprinkle that have the interest, intellect, and tenacity to become plastic surgeons which is a very competitive field.
You know you’re attractive if you’ve received a decent amount of compliments on your looks throughout your life from members of the opposite sex, who were NOT family members or very very close friends. You know, the ones you would consider family because they are so close. So, if you’re someone like me, who is 30, and have never received even one, then you’re average at best. Nothing inherently wrong with that, but it’s a surefire way to roughly gauge just how attractive you are out there in the real world.
@@iloveazaeliabanksdepends, were they into your gender or not? If they attracted to your shared gender then you look good to them, or have the reason straight people your gender would have. If they are straight however, then the way you look is something they either wish for themselves or have friends/relatives with features like yours and it makes them happy to be reminded of their beloved friends/relatives. This is overly simplified of course.
The jawline is a big part of why some preteens and teens look older than others. I had a friend with a very sharp jawline and low face fat and she was much more mature-looking than me and my friends with still-soft, childish features.
Well there are perks of having neotenous features. My mom is in her 40s,not a day over 25. People get surprised when they learn she has a 20 and an 18 year old lol. I look 13 now but I look forward looking cute in my 40s~50s
Well this makes me feel a hell of a lot better about myself. I have bad teeth, bad skin, bad hair, middle of the road lips and hooded eyes, but apparently I have good facial structure. Strong jawline and cheekbones, proportional and straight nose, and a good brow ridge. All of this is to say that the most unattractive parts of myself are 'fixable' which is nice. That makes me feel pretty good about myself
@@harryh875 It's actually not entirely cap, what you find attractive won't be the same as other people because it is subjective. Now if we look at attractiveness analytically, then you are right.
I’ve never considered my face attractive (because of my broken disproportionate big nose, kinda soft jawline and overall asymmetrical face) although I’m being called beautiful and attractive most of the time, the reason is probably my eyes and eyebrow region or maybe that all these features that i hate looks harmonious together idk Anyways that was a great video 👏🏻
this is quite an interesting video, i would love to see one for how the orbitals affect dark circles and the femininity or masculinity of a face, along with maybe the protrusion of the brow ridge, shape of forehead and hairline, etc. love the work! keep it up!
Big/thick brow ridge (not protrusion) doesn't look good on women because it looks crude instead of feminine. Esp when the brow ridge spreads towards the forehead.
@@lalalalaland84 i agree, i think women with a prominent brow ridge look good if they have a masculine face overall (defined jaw, cheekbones, well developed dentofacial features). i think even the orbitals play a huge role in the shape of the eyes, like hunter eyes, or bambi eyes. even the placing of the brows. i think our orbitals are also dependant on our skull types (mongoloid -> seen in Koreans, Japanese, Thai's, etc; Negroid -> seen in people of African descent mainly; Caucasoid -> Indians, Pakistanis, Europeans, Arabs, etc, Caucasoids are quite common i think, i have that kind of skull structure too). I think i would love to see a video on skull types too, and variances amongst them. like for example if you compare a European and maybe an Indian, they have the same skull type since they both have the Caucasoid skull structure, however there would be minor differences, like the nose width, and i've also noticed that Indians may have droopy noses (even if they are thin). when it comes to bone structure, it varies across the country (India). I think South Indians have more pronounced bone structures, a trait that is appreciated in the west, like most people from tamil will have a good jaw structure, cheekbones and forward grown faces. But in a place like Assam (North India) they have faces that possess a mongoloid skull. I think i steered a bit off topic but i find this stuff quite interesting.
I love how beauty is associated with health. I always wondered how certain body features were desired. Now I understand the jaw for instance shows how well u chew and how well your dental health is. It's the prospect of giving the healthy genes of to the new population of humans. It's beautiful but also kind of sad.
It may be sad but it's part of being a living creature. Every species of animal has it's own way to differentiate who has the better genes to mate with. It's natural at the end of the day.
On really pale people the teeth might be pearly white but because there is less contrast they look yellow. You can help them look better by using lipstick or tinted lip balm.
As a black woman I can assure you that skin color is probably number 1 for women if not top 3. Nothing more powerful. After living in Asia for almost a decade I am considered a second class citizen especially if anyone remotely lighter than me is nearby. It would be interesting to see a video about this.
He does repeat the 'not deviating too far from racial norms' part. People usually find people of their race more attractive which is normal. Also skin colour is more of a cultural preference, rather than a universal feature of attractiveness.
Tbh, I think a lot of black women get in their own head with dating. I've heard black girls say about black guys "he probably dates white women" and "he probably doesn't like black girls" when talking about white guys they're interested in.. I personally dig black chicks a lot and I'm pasty ass white and they'll tell me they never thought I would be interested.
I'm inclined to agree. Although not everybody finds ONLY lighter skin colors attractive, there are far too many cultures in the world (and industries built off of colorism) that hail lighter skin as beautiful. What is seen as "light" and "dark" varies, but there still is a preference for women to be lighter in skin color compared to other members of their race and/or ethnicity.
Skin color is certainly massive, especially in less diverse areas in which people have a stronger in-group preference (I noticed this is less pronounced in large diverse cities). However in a community where everyone has the same skin color the video would apply nicely
I agree with this list! I think this video is very important to educate anyone who 1. wants to do a glow up (softmaxxing) or 2. is considering cosmetic surgery (hardmaxxing). It helps people to know what to focus on. I think there's a lot of cosmetic surgery people are getting that is unhelpful to their overall appearance. Efforts made with a true understanding what will enhance rather than detract can make all of the difference and really give "bang for your buck," whether you are interested in surgery or softmaxxing. Myself, I've had a huge glow up and only recently managed to achieve clear skin (crazy but true, liquid chlorophyll finally cleared up my skin when NOTHING else worked!). In the meantime, I would like to learn how to finally wear false eyelashes and have started using Lumify eye drops, which are amazing. I am not spruiking any of these products, but have found they really work for me.
Please make a video specifically about what makes an attractive eye area and why. Like the shapes, sizes, spacing, tilt, upper eyelid exposure, lower eye support, eyelashes, eyebrows and the overall bone structures in more details.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. There is not, there has never been and there never will be a face that everyone finds attractive. Ditto for individual features. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Too many people literally don’t understand that!
This video was great, thank you! I am surprised by teeth and skin being so low on the list. I find it incredibly jarring when somebody has unhealthy looking teeth or crooked teeth. I guess it all comes down to personal preferences too. Seeing the differences beside each other was really helpful in showing how little some features, like the lips, actually changes the overall look and attractiveness.
Something that I also find very fascinating is that crooked teeth are even considered beautiful in some cultures. In Japan for example crooked canines are considered very cute.
@nofacenocase4328 isn't it interesting! I think crooked teeth is something I could look past, but yellowing is a bit distracting. I can't help but wonder if they drink too much tea or coffee or if they brush their teeth too much or not enough 🤣😭
@@ggramsamy i agree with you! I think crookedness might just be more of an aesthetic thing, while yellow teeth can be considered a symptom of bad health, which I think people might consiously or subconsiously consider to be less attractive
Because a good skin and whyte teeth wouldnt matter if the man has bug eyes, chubby cheeks, and a recessed jaw. Good skin and whyte teeth are just bonuses

Sharp jawlines are more important in males as you can still be an attractive female with a rounder jawline. It is least important however (in my opinion) in asians as they normally have softer, rounded features. Not to forget that your eyebrows thickness depends on how masculine/feminine your face is. Thin eyebrows are generally considered more feminine than thick, which are perceived as more masculine. Thin eyebrows suit females with more a more masculine bone structure to make balance, and vice versa.
Round face are least literally bottom of the bar preferred face in asia... round face often makes your face appear bigger, wider or fater which is against the traditional beauty standard of asia as they prefer oval shape small face with a V line smooth sharp jawline
This is just my perception and not directed at anyone or intended to make anyone feel insecure, but the proportions of the face are the most important in my opinion. Doesn’t matter if you have Audrey hepburn’s jawline and Marilyn Monroe’s eyes, if your eyes are too wide or closely set, if you Philturm is too long then it could affect attractiveness. Proportions cannot be fixed, even with plastic surgery.

The most wonderful thing I was told about my looks was while shopping....a fellow told me he had been stationed in many countries around the world and I was the most beautiful woman he'd seen. This was fabulous to hear.
Was he the only guy that ever said that to you? What did he look like? If he was ok or even good looking I would have been happy but an ordinary guy saying it to me wouldn’t have meant anything.
for my personal taste, i would rank 1. eyes 2. jaw 3. skin health . i cannot stand skin with acne. im speaking for myslef, i just hate whenever pimples come out. it really ruins your appearance. clear skin is the goal/standard
For me it is 1. Skin health 2. Teeth 3. Jaw Bad teeth will literally ruin everything on your face. Bad teeth can cause assymetrical face, sunken face, Jaw ruined, eyes will be higher than the other, eyebrow that is uneven and TMJ. I cannot count the number of negative things my bad teeth has caused me.
a lot of people cannot control their acne or blemishes so it’s really not fair to judge someone based on that. nobodies skin is perfect, only the airbrushed ones online.
another great video! i must say i didnt find it suprising that jaw shape was above eye, simply because of how variable beautiful eyes can be. On that note, i was wondering if any Qoves fans had read 'Survival of the Prettiest" by Nancy Etcoff? the whole book is based on the phrase used in this video: 'Beauty indicates Functionality' - if anyone has, id love to hear your thoughts! She also speaks about the evolution of language to describe beauty which is sometimes quite violent or explosive words, eg: 'stunning', 'breath-taking', 'striking', which I found quite interesting
Hey Jade, I wrote a part of my Masters Thesis about "Beauty idicates Functionality". You could also say "healthy is beautiful". Most things we find beautiful is just something what helped us survive in the evolution. A good video on youtube to this topic is from the Channel "In a Nutshell - why beauty makes us happy". Greetings
i read that book when it first came out and then years after that. you know, life is so tough at times and it brings with it so many difficulties BUT the one thing that has NEVER disappointed me is being considered very attractive. i feel like i need to apologize BUT i am being honest! also, coming from a home where there was constant verbal abuse, etc. being accepted by the world has made my life so much more pleasant! nobody talks about this! it's like winning the lottery and makes up having to deal with shit all the time in life! being beautiful provides one with instant respect. it's like putting on a teflon suit because it protects you from the cruelty of people. silly females with jealous tendencies become intimidated even though they'll try to sabotage you behind your back. this often backfires because they are seen as mean +envious by others if they try to cause problems. so it's a sort of social protection and it helps at work also. there is so much more to this subject and those who undermine this topic are bluffing. beauty equals health is MAJOR as it affects how one is seen by the opposite sex ultimately as a potential mate+mother of his children! it goes deeper than people realize. billions are spent on cosmetic surgery, make-up, etc. so this subject is worth exploring.
I can gladly agree eyes/eyebrows and face shape is important. I have an oval face shape (seen as one of the most attractive) and I have a positive/neutral doe almond eyes (also seen as attractive) and straight normal sized eyebrows but I have bigger nose small/okay lips and slightly big forehead but my eyes, face shape and eyebrows cancel it out
@@evereve1 it's like #3 for me. Think about all of the most attractive supermodels: all short to normal philtrums with many being on the short side. In men they can be a bit longer, but that's the case with most things re:men and women.
@@ririimari people who are good candidates for lip lifts look so much better after!! even younger patients!! the features just seem to come together symetrically speaking, after the surgery. i honestly love analyzing this stuff BUT i never knew that "tooth-show" and "philtrum distance" were such beauty landmarks!! you can go from average to attractive in no time.
i feel like skin is considered too low at #8. as someone who suffers from chronic skin issues (cystic acne, eczema, sometimes both at the same time) people have stared in disgust or looked repulsed if I try to speak to them when they flare up. cystic acne disfigures your skin as well, so even if it goes away it will leave permanent scars. i think that looking like you are unhygenic or can spread a disease will factor more into how attractive someone may find you, more so than your nose shape or your cheek bones.
That is unfortunate that people are so rude about an actual dermatological condition 😢 I had acne as a teen and still get breakouts and know the feeling
I have an excellent eye area (cheeks, eyes, eyebrows) full lips, clear skin, healthy hair only what is wrong in my looks is underbite. I can agree with that the jaw makes or breaks your face on my example
@@maciekwozniak4060 nice! Happy for you! I am getting a nose job on friday. My surgeon also suggested a chin implant. I have a weak chin. But it was too expensive lol
I noticed there's no mention of the SIZE of one's eyes... Large almond/cat-shaped eyes framed by long thick dark lashes and nicely shaped healthy-looking brows are important for feminine beauty and youthfulness! Jawlines on females? If have an oval face, that's the ideal shape, and your jawline will be naturally defined in a feminine way - whether you lose or gain weight.
on men is thicker eyesbrows preferred like the thicker the better or thin eyesbrows since some people say one is better and others are saying other is better its confusing
i have a very feminine oval shaped face but the jawline has always been firm/defined and far from masculine. i clearly remember the boys in high school who were considered handsome/cute had sharp jawlines but when they went on to university and stopped sports the first thing to go was their jawlines. i remember my boyfriend being the most hot male ever but due to drinking in university his face became full and he lost his looks. THINK leo decaprio and how much of his good looks he lost 'cause his jaw is now flabby. as for eyes, my sister has smallish eyes that with a bit of mascara become slightly larger and doe-like and her limbal rings makes them sparkle!! it depends on other things besides size but i guess it's normal to think of small eyes as "beady". also. i think squinty eyes are sexy on certain men !! judging from your pic, you seem to have nothing to worry about!
@@coachingconfidant2785 i agree with his list wholeheartedly. the QUOVES gentleman breaks down what our brains decifer ,biologically wired through our dna , in a matter of seconds: human beings recognize BEAUTY when they see it!! no such thing as "western beauty standards" -- if you are beautiful, you are noticed EVERYWHERE you go!! in some countries they are certainly much more verbal about it and the men more demonstrative but that doesn't change anything. even babies recognize beauty and will gaze at a pretty face longer. we are born with certain traits that cannot be tinkered with and everything has a biological explanation behind it. but that's for another episode!!
Seeing lips at 10th place and jawline being 1st makes this lowkey the list of most important features for men lol. Kylie Jenner had a very strong jaw before surgeries, but big lips are what changed her whole look the most, balanced out her face and made her look more feminine. Lips are very important for women's beauty, people don't like to hear that tho bc the most famous solution for thin lips are fillers and everybody seems to hate fillers.
Its the same with men aswell. Alot men have tin lips which not attractive at all. Yet for example i notice black men have fuller lips in porportion and it natuarally suits their faces and its extremly attractive when men have full lips in porportion it really compliments a face especially if the guy is very handsome. For example men like Tyson Beckford
could you please make a video on Gisele Bundchen? I watched your video on Victoria Secrets models but her facial bone structure is INSANE!! And I’d love to hear an analysis ❤️

Have to say though, skin and teeth are very important, I saw people had visible changes before and after straighten their teeth, and their skin gets better, when you are healthy, you will be attractive, regardless, because your skin will glow, your teeth will be clean, your hair will be fine, you are not over weight or underweight, so having a good health should be #1
Eyes are number one for me because I have seen many people that they have strong jawline but they don't look beautiful because they don't have beautiful eyes, and I have seen many people with very beautiful eyes but they don't have strong jawline but they often look very beautiful and atractiv..
This made mefeel surprisingly better about myself. I love how you explained why and how it makes you more "Attractive". I also feel good about how you didn't just say that one type is seen more attractive and its a must have. Like for example, The nose. You didn't just say " Button noses are better!" Like most people do, because it's seen as the "Perfect Nose". I love how you showed other noses! Like mine, the dorsal nose (or whatever it's called). I've been extremely insecure about that and was expecting it to be at least top 3! Thank you for this!
The level of attractiveness of a face shape depends mostly on the length of each section of the face. 1st section from hairline to eyebrows 2nd eyebrows to the end of the nose and 3rdly the end of the nose to the end of the chin.
I was like, okay I'm not so bad for 10 to 2 features. But, dang my biggest insecurity is my jawline. I have a longer jaw as compared to others of the same background. And I was being bullied about it when I was a kid and teenager. Till this day I'm still so insecure about it. But I know this jawline would kill in western countries. 😅
You should do a breakdown of Nineties Supermodel Christy Turlington a lot of people say she had the perfect face for fashion but she was also commercial high cheekbones almond shaped cat eyes full lips long neck etc I also read the Disney cartoon Pocahontas was modeled after her and Naomi Campbell
90's supermodel Daniella Pestova is so perfectly stunning, but she's not as famous as the other supermodels so she goes unmentioned. She was more stereotypical beautiful and sexier than Turlington, Evangelista, Schiffer, Crawford, etc..

I’m so grateful for my good skin, eyes and overall face shape, but there’s no way jawline ranks above eyes and nose in my opinion. The nose and eyes are the top most important for sure
I agree , countless time when mask were being warm, I thought how attractive a woman was, based on her eyes and upper face. Then when she pulled down her mask, she ended up not be attractive at all.
I once dated a guy who would be generally considered unattractive: big nose, messy curly hair and he was shorter than me, but he had such a great personality and sarcastic sense of humour that I was instantly hooked. The relationship ended because of something completely unrelated to those things, in case anyone would ask. And then I dated this beautiful blonde tall viking-looking guy with seemingly perfect features. I can't say one was better than the other in general. Beauty fades. It's ALWAYS about who you are inside.
i just don't know, sometimes in the mirror i look very good and other times the opposite, but i always look so bad in photos and the same thing doesn't happen to others that i simply end up concluding that i'm simply ugly lmao
am i the only one who agrees with jaw being 1… when i was fatter and had like no jawline and it was v round i looked so much worse. and when i was skinny i looked amazing and would get so many compliments. still trying to finish losing the weight i gained…
I definitely agree. Plus people forget the maxilla or your upper jaw. It supports your midface and will determine if your cheekbones arent flat, eyes don't look tired and help with proportions. The jaw is the most important.
Full lips ☑ Straight teeth ☑ Skin (not completely clear few scars are there but its soft and from distance it looks absolutely clear) ☑ Long hair ☑ High cheekbones and hollow cheecks ☑ Nose ( i have quite bulbous nose not too bulbous so its fine) ✖️ Face shape diamond with defined angular jaw and proportionate chin and forehead ☑ Eyebrows(angular arched) ☑ Eyes(almond eyes with long lashes) ☑ Jawline ( my biggest flex) in real life i have never seen with more arched and longer jaw than mine ☑ I will come to this comment whenever i will feel insecure ✔️✔️
Damn these videos really motivate me to lose weight because I think I'm very good looking when I'm 30 lbs lighter than I am today. Only thing I'm lacking here is my teeth are just okay, I have soft cheekbones, and I have very thin lips. Everything else I believe is above average at worst.
@@Aaron-kj8dv dont get me wrong i am not saying thin lips are bad or anything. If its suits one face its really attractive. Just pointing out that fuller lips is always a plus

You can probably gauge your attractiveness over the years by how many compliments you get from others who judge you physically, ie: not close to you or friends with you, etc. But afaik, men give less compliments, although if they do, they usually mean it in the physical sense. Women give more compliments but that could just be they like how you look or are just being friendly or nice, and it has nothing to do with actual physicality.
My opinion, these are more like 2023 beauty trends, not beauty standards. I'm not saying that these features don't factor in but emphasis on a jawline to this degree leans more toward illustration, an exaggeration and the look of robotics. It is not timeless; truly attractive faces are timeless... and human..
tbh it seems like those matter but song jia has a short face and so does sullyoon and they’re beautiful. it gives them a cute-look; ningning too. also they have short chins, weaker projection and winter with her long philtrum. yet still incredibly beautiful. so my reminder to people, don’t get too wrapped up in ideals and standards because 1 feature won’t automatically make you beautiful; do what will work with the features you already have . if you make yourself too perfect, you’re setting your face up to look uncanny.
Those idols all have major flaws (I’m a k-pop fan too) but also have attractive features and overall have at least above average looks so yeah of course they’re still pretty.
@@reve605 that’s my point. people will say “short face is ugly” or “non projected chin is not good” but some people will have those feature and still look attractive which is why one feature won’t make you beautiful nor will it make you ugly & they should just work with what they already have. people hear that a 11-13mm philtrum is ideal and quickly get surgery but end up looking uncanny. some things are just meant to be and they should focus on specific features when it doesn’t even bring their looks down to begin with
also with ningning, the only thing that she has that is above average is probably her eyes, even though she has too much scelaral show. yet some people have big eyes yet still look unattractive. her face is round, flat features & maxilla, nose bridge is thick and round, face short and it holds a lot of fat. yet she is still beautiful because of her facial harmony, not really her facial features itself
The rise in popularity of Kpop in American pop culture has had a huge impact. Kpop has been around for decades, but it particularly gained prominence in recent years due to groups like BTS. The South Korean expat/immigrant community in the United States has played a huge role.. where i grew up, there are many people who have South Korean heritage so I always had many friends with this ethnic background and they would share this stuff with me. I'm not personally into Kpop, but can appreciate the showmanship aspect of it (fantastic styling, intricate choreography, etc.)
it will never replace the caucasion(sp??) model BUT i can tell you my opinion. first of all, asian faces are flatter so light bounces off the surface of their skin more evenly making it look clearer and more glowy. they have also adopted the v-shaped model of the face which is pretty much an offshoot of the golden OVAL standard with a slight concentration on an even more delicate, slightly defined chin. thirdly, their enhancement of the rosebud lip shape which many asians have naturally. interestingly, this is the RAREST lip shape in adults as in most cases, it's seen in pre-adolescent females due to the sudden increase of estrogen in their system. the drs. in korea seem to have analyzed every single milimeter of the female face and how it pertains to having a youthful appearance. i've always argued that beauty is universal and the human brain immediately recognizes it biologically BUT there seems to be ever so slight differences. like in america, of course youthful looks are prized BUT women seem to think that looking sexually aroused is sexy with the fleshy oversized lips and huge cheekbones and narrow upturned eyes. don't forget the huge, hollywood-white teeth! due to my increase in research, i am starting to realize that cultural trends DO play a part in physical appearance but perhaps largely having to do with womens' preferences and social media. perhaps because strong features (ie.models) tend to stand out in photos and video. BUT the fact will universally remain that certain features will forever be considered beautiful. then again, the GLAMOUR FILTER seems to favor super feminine features (what is considered beautiful universally to begin with) BUT makes less than pretty women look more masculine. MY CONCLUSION: The Koreans have analyzed which specific features are universally favored in characterizing a hyper-feminine and youthful face.this is a face recognized by every human brain automatically due to our dna as being beautiful is perceived as youthful and thus fertile. the rest of the world is starting to take notice of the korean plastic surgery standards, along with american women who, in the last decade or so ,have opted for a more sexual, slightly masculine look which they've admitted looks stronger on video/photos. since many influencers are opting to go overseas for plastic surgery i'm taking a guess the trend for a softer face may begin to dominate. look it the trend with breasts. it started off with hard, cartoon-like, porn-star boobies and then women wanted more tear-drop shaped, natural ones--big, albeit, softer yet super firm. so there you have it and SORRY FOR THE NOVEL!!
I can agree to this but I have to say regarding actually dating someone, I have to say for me Number 1. is Teeth and Number 2. is skin. Anything else on this list would not make someone undatable to me. as someone who cares a huge ton about skincare because I had so much acne before I do if im honest consider skin health extremely important. teeth because I will not kiss someone who has bad teeth or bad breath, period. someone can look as handsome or beautiful as they want, bad oral hygiene is an absolute hard pass.
@@michaelmess268 yep! definitely. its more important to me when it comes to dating, as those things are personally non-negotiable to me. but of course, if someone is attractive to me in all the other ways, i especially like pretty brown eyes and big noses lol, then that helps ;)
Beauty is fleeting. This talks about things that can not be easily changed.. like the jaw for example. I mean.. true beauty comes from within.. the soul, the character the destiny. And one day that other person will see you as magnificent. Because.. the truth is... you maybe be beautiful for a bit of time.. but beauty is not guaranteed. I have seen many many beautiful people... and then again I see them.. and time takes her toll. Fact.
I've never ever heard anyone say "Cor, look at the jaw on that", so would disagree that the jawline should be #1. I have however always universally heard "So and so has beautiful eyes". Eyes have always been the #1 feature on anyone's face, it literally makes or breaks the face. Jawline not so much so, all you need is a normal jaw, but you can't be attractive at all without nice eyes in my opinion.
Yea I was surprised when I saw my teacher with no beard once and he barely had a jawline amd chin but with his beard he made it look like he has a sharp jawline and well defined chin
I think the jaw thing is really unconsciously embedded in me because I have a more recessed chin and I've developed a habit of having it jut forward, like half a centimeter, just enough to properly align with my face and when I let it relax I feel like the difference is fairly stark from a profile view. Just half a centimeter! I want to talk to an orthodontist fr.
i think 2 versions of this should have been made for men and women

Jaw development is literally so important. Teeth, breathing, sleeping, diet, like everything effects the development of ur jaw
I wish everyone could look the way they wanted.
Too bad its women that determine both male and female beauty standards
then everyone would look the same, isn't that what many people have been observing lately?? that in social media and in plastic surgeon's/nurses' offices women are morphing into the same look?? i think that if everyone could change their looks they would immediately go for the GLAMOUR FILTER which pretty much sums up what we just learned from QOVES!! i can see MOST bringing a screenshot of their version to their beauty advisor/filler nurse/dr.,etc.for sure there's going to be A LOT of catfishing and deception going on just from that filter--the filter should come with some sort of warning to prevent future heartbreak !!
Everyone can, it’s called surgery😅
We should encourage children to study more so we can get more doctors and from there we can get more plastic surgeons. Millions of students graduate every year but only a handful have the interest and the intellect to become doctors. And from that handful you get just a sprinkle that have the interest, intellect, and tenacity to become plastic surgeons which is a very competitive field.
Ai não iria ter graça
You know you’re attractive if you’ve received a decent amount of compliments on your looks throughout your life from members of the opposite sex, who were NOT family members or very very close friends. You know, the ones you would consider family because they are so close.
So, if you’re someone like me, who is 30, and have never received even one, then you’re average at best. Nothing inherently wrong with that, but it’s a surefire way to roughly gauge just how attractive you are out there in the real world.
what abt lots of compliments from the same gender, but less from opposite gender?
@@iloveazaeliabanksdepends, were they into your gender or not? If they attracted to your shared gender then you look good to them, or have the reason straight people your gender would have. Strong jawline and cheekbones, proportional and straight nose, and a good brow ridge. All of this is to say that the most unattractive parts of myself are 'fixable' which is nice. That makes me feel pretty good about myself

Even though I have crooked teeth
this is quite an interesting video, i would love to see one for how the orbitals affect dark circles and the femininity or masculinity of a face, along with maybe the protrusion of the brow ridge, shape of forehead and hairline, etc. love the work! keep it up!
Yes! Please make a video about this
Omg yes, I have deep set, dark circles and I've heard people say it looks hot
He would be labelled as transphobic lol.
The main thing really is that all your features are in harmony whether big or small as long as the full picture makes sense you're good😁
I love how beauty is associated with health.
Also good hair and eyebrows are indicators of health so long hair is desired
@@poetisismo698it's sad because some people can't help getting sick ,it's cruel but it's nature of us to want healthy offspring
On really pale people the teeth might be pearly white but because there is less contrast they look yellow. You can help them look better by using lipstick or tinted lip balm.
It doesn’t look good if the teeth are paper white on white skinned people. It’s just too prosthetic.
I remember being mocked at school because my skin was too white
I am not spruiking any of these products, but have found they really work for me.

almond eyes are the best looking shape
Interpupillary distance, Inner canthal distance, outer canthal distance, palpebral fissure width, height, palpebral fissure slant.
Every eye shape can be attractive as long as it doesnt look droopy, bug-like or reddish
Eye color : ideal and which gives most facial contrast is blue eyes
Eyebrows :thick ,dense ,jet-black color, slightly darker than ur hair color for both genders thin for women won’t matter much too as it gives them more dimorphism
Eye tilt : ideal for men is 5-6 positive titled eyes doesn’t matter much rlly depends mostly on ur harmony dk ideal for women tbh
Eyelashes: curly , tall , thick and dark for both genders
Uee (upper eyelid exposure : ideal for men is 0.3-0.5 mm of uee for women is slightly bigger like 0.5-1.0 mm of uee
Eye shape : ideal for both genders almond-feline eyes
For men only almond-hunter eyes, thin almond eyes
Women : Bambi,feline,almond eyes
Medial canthus should be downturned for both can’t be fixed by surgeries or anything sadly

Bone related:-
Brow ridge: should be grown forward for men , flat for women
Supraorbitals: bony part above ur eye , where ur eyebrows lie at should be grown forward and low set for men , neutral, high set for women
Infraorbitals : bony part below ur eyes , should be grown forward for under eye support for both genders
Cheekbones: should be high set gives better and further under eye support
Ratios:-
Eye spacing : 1:1:1 (one eye apart from each eye )
Interpupillary distance: should be 7cms
Indirect ways to improve eye area:-
Harmony : eye spacing 1:1:1,interpupillary distance:7cms:midface ratio:1:1,fwhr:1.8-1.9,eyebrows,eyelashes,cheekbones,supraorbitals,infraorbitals all should be symmetrical

Round face are least literally bottom of the bar preferred face in asia... round face often makes your face appear bigger, wider or fater which is against the traditional beauty standard of asia as they prefer oval shape small face with a V line smooth sharp jawline

another great video! i must say i didnt find it suprising that jaw shape was above eye, simply because of how variable beautiful eyes can be.
Greetings
@@xt4694 ah thank you! I’ll definitely check it out!
@@xt4694 very interesting! i'd love to read it!!
i read that book when it first came out and then years after that. you know, life is so tough at times and it brings with it so many difficulties BUT the one thing that has NEVER disappointed me is being considered very attractive. i feel like i need to apologize BUT i am being honest! also, coming from a home where there was constant verbal abuse, etc. being accepted by the world has made my life so much more pleasant! nobody talks about this! it's like winning the lottery and makes up having to deal with shit all the time in life! being beautiful provides one with instant respect. it's like putting on a teflon suit because it protects you from the cruelty of people. silly females with jealous tendencies become intimidated even though they'll try to sabotage you behind your back. this often backfires because they are seen as mean +envious by others if they try to cause problems. so it's a sort of social protection and it helps at work also. there is so much more to this subject and those who undermine this topic are bluffing. beauty equals health is MAJOR as it affects how one is seen by the opposite sex ultimately as a potential mate+mother of his children! it goes deeper than people realize. billions are spent on cosmetic surgery, make-up, etc. so this subject is worth exploring.
I was getting so excited and feeling so flattered & lucky bc I have everything except #1! I have no jawline; it's so soft which is weird bc I'm thin😭😭
this is actually kind of encouraging because my lips and skin are the parts of my face that I hate the most.
I can gladly agree eyes/eyebrows and face shape is important. I have an oval face shape (seen as one of the most attractive) and I have a positive/neutral doe almond eyes (also seen as attractive) and straight normal sized eyebrows but I have bigger nose small/okay lips and slightly big forehead but my eyes, face shape and eyebrows cancel it out
Lips are not completely isolated, their width is related to palate width and the height affects philtrum height thus midface ratio
I was really shocked philtrum length was not in the top 10. I think it actually is; it really affects facial harmony so much.
@@ririimariit can also make someone look older or younger.
@@ririimariI was too.

Bella Hadid has an oval face and has sharp jawline.
on men is thicker eyesbrows preferred like the thicker the better or thin eyesbrows since some people say one is better and others are saying other is better its confusing
@@coachingconfidant2785darkness is actually more important. The actual width isn't too important as long as you don't look too much like a caveman
i have a very feminine oval shaped face but the jawline has always been firm/defined and far from masculine. i clearly remember the boys in high school who were considered handsome/cute had sharp jawlines but when they went on to university and stopped sports the first thing to go was their jawlines. i remember my boyfriend being the most hot male ever but due to drinking in university his face became full and he lost his looks.
But i think kylie got jaw reduction or sm like this
Everyone hates lip fillers because they often just look so darn fake and age badly.
Yes she did. I think having a heavy jaw made her face look a bit more masculine and disproportionate so reducing it balanced her features out
I unironically think she looked better before with her natural lips. Her lips now look unnatural.

You forgot to mention the line down the bottom lip for attractiveness. It adds to beauty just like cupids bow. 👄

The level of attractiveness of a face shape depends mostly on the length of each section of the face. 1st section from hairline to eyebrows 2nd eyebrows to the end of the nose and 3rdly the end of the nose to the end of the chin.

It is not timeless; truly attractive faces are timeless... and human..
As a whole, the most important thing is harmony since if there is a lack of harmony, the negative features will be more noticable
tbh it seems like those matter but song jia has a short face and so does sullyoon and they’re beautiful. it gives them a cute-look; ningning too. also they have short chins, weaker projection and winter with her long philtrum. yet still incredibly beautiful.
so my reminder to people, don’t get too wrapped up in ideals and standards because 1 feature won’t automatically make you beautiful; do what will work with the features you already have . if you make yourself too perfect, you’re setting your face up to look uncanny.

Can you do a video about why Korean features have become so popular/attractive over the last 10 years?
Rise of kpop/anime
The rise in popularity of Kpop in American pop culture has had a huge impact. Kpop has been around for decades, but it particularly gained prominence in recent years due to groups like BTS. The South Korean expat/immigrant community in the United States has played a huge role.. where i grew up, there are many people who have South Korean heritage so I always had many friends with this ethnic background and they would share this stuff with me. I'm not personally into Kpop, but can appreciate the showmanship aspect of it (fantastic styling, intricate choreography, etc.)
Asians are ugly
Koreaboos
it will never replace the caucasion(sp??) model BUT i can tell you my opinion. first of all, asian faces are flatter so light bounces off the surface of their skin more evenly making it look clearer and more glowy. they have also adopted the v-shaped model of the face which is pretty much an offshoot of the golden OVAL standard with a slight concentration on an even more delicate, slightly defined chin. thirdly, their enhancement of the rosebud lip shape which many asians have naturally. interestingly, this is the RAREST lip shape in adults as in most cases, it's seen in pre-adolescent females due to the sudden increase of estrogen in their system. the drs. in korea seem to have analyzed every single milimeter of the female face and how it pertains to having a youthful appearance. i've always argued that beauty is universal and the human brain immediately recognizes it biologically BUT there seems to be ever so slight differences. like in america, of course youthful looks are prized BUT women seem to think that looking sexually aroused is sexy with the fleshy oversized lips and huge cheekbones and narrow upturned eyes. don't forget the huge, hollywood-white teeth! due to my increase in research, i am starting to realize that cultural trends DO play a part in physical appearance but perhaps largely having to do with womens' preferences and social media. perhaps because strong features (ie.models) tend to stand out in photos and video.
I can agree to this but I have to say regarding actually dating someone, I have to say for me Number 1. is Teeth and Number 2. is skin. Jaw is definitely top for men. For women, I wouldn't rank it as number 1.
Fact.
Lips are important to beauty....when you getting older and losing lip volume you will realise the difference.
Eyes are more important than jaw. Men can hide weak jaws with facial hair.
