    Awesome boots, I have John Lofgren natural cxl I have the same problem with the pass through. I use a plastic grocery bag and I'm able to pull the entire bag out after my foot gets into the foot bed. I've done it about 6 or 7 times and it's getting a lot easier to do. I just put some saphir and they look amazing

    Extremely educational video Manny. I love your passion for boots and the effort you put into getting these videos out. I don't own a pair of pull on boots and I was thinking about starting with Nick's. Heard a lot about the Lofgrens and Role Club and their superior quality ,but I don't know if I'd like to shell out that kind of dough on my first pair. Boots are a journey and I'm beginning to enjoy the ride 😂😂. Cheers

    Wow, Manny, another nice and informative video. Too bad the Lofgrens are so tough to get on and off, they're gorgeous.
    I have 1 pair of pull-ons I bought years ago and enjoy them when I need to put on some boots quickly and use for a short period of time. They're Redwing 1105. (They're similar to your 1155.) All of my other boots have aggressive soles and I can clean the soles on these 1105 boots easily compared to my other boots when I have to get in mud, etc.
    Thanks for the great view of those gorgeous boots. I've never even heard of Chisos, Lofgren or Role Clubs. I always learn something watching your videos. :-)

    • @MIIIB
      @MIIIB  2 года назад +2

      Hey Rick!!!! Those Redwing navigate in my city a LOT!! The 1105 is a very common model around here. That's why I gravitated more for the other. Yes, the smooth soles help a lot instead if the full lugs with chunks of mud everywhere!😆 .wife doesn't like those !!
      Glad you learned about the other brands. A big hug compadre!!!🍻

    I have Role Club engineer boots, and also boots from most of the PNW brands (Wesco, Nick's, White's, etc.). They are vastly different, starting with the weight. Role Club is a much sleeker, lighter weight boot. The others are tanks in comparison. The RC engineers fit like a glove and are impossible to put on without a very thin plastic shoehorn.

    • @MIIIB
      @MIIIB  9 месяцев назад

      @@MIIIB When Brian took the measurements for my engineers, he asked me if I wanted them super snug so they would stretch for a perfect fit. I agreed. When I got them, I could only get them on wearing no socks and with plastic bags on my feet. It took weeks for them to stretch out. But now they fit like a glove. I would do it again. But I would not do that with a boot like Wesco because the leather is so heavy. Would be too painful.

    I love this video and was wondering if you could provide sizing assistance. I measure 9 eee on a Brannock device and usually wear 8.5 ee or 8.5 eee in boots like Alden, White’s, and Iron Rangers. Would you recommend going down a half size from 9 eee to 8.5 eee in Lofgren or Nicks? Could you share where I could place custom orders for a pair of Lofgren?

    • @MIIIB
      @MIIIB  2 года назад +1

      John Lofgren had a website just search on google, not hard to find my brother. We are almost the same foot if not identical. I'm Brannock 9EE and PNW 8.5 ee with whites and nicks. JL came quite big so I got the 8EE but it is not a standard size, you need to contact them and send measurements, so they can determine the size, honestly, the customer service in that department is a bit stressful since the guy replying to the emails looks like Japanese's who barely read English and maybe doing translate thru google. not a bad thing but you get loose fast. I wear those twice only and they fit nice but the instep I think they didn't send it right. or need to be expanded, a guy like me with wide foot is not Lofgreen engineers the best option. I will stick with PNW for sure. Overseas do not understand very well wide feet. I had contacted at least 16 brands in Japan and Europe and they want me to fit more significant numbers to compensate for the wide. They don't want to lose form and aesthetics with wide feet, they are the kings of engineers but for slim feet only. As much as I love my Lofgren If I could get 2 pairs of Nicks instead JL I will pick the 2 without doubt
      it's my opinion only

    Manny, great video! I apologize if you mentioned this (kiddo was bothering me while watching lol) but would you say the Nick's are difficult to put on? I couldn't get my Falcon's on without a hook in the pull tab for almost a year because I have a high instep and I guess my foot was too fat to get past the tight gusset in the beginning. They fit great once on but it took a while to stretch that gusset. My 8" boots were much easier to get on because I suppose the gusset is wider on the taller boot. If my Nick's fit great otherwise, do you think the pattern of the Renegade would be a bad idea for me? Also you said 1964 brown and not tan? I would like an 8" R/O just like yours if I could make them work. Thanks for your time!

      The Renegades fit very good. Just the first maybe 10 times had to take off the strap and then strap on, after that I could let thr strap on and fit my fit great. The leather is 1964 brown RO

    Beautiful colección you have there! Entre las nicks john y las role que tan diferentes son en talla? Y para un uso diario cual votas?

    • @MIIIB
      @MIIIB  2 года назад +1

      Definitivamente usaria las Nicks para uso diario, si vives en climas calientes "work leathers" son mejores, respiran muy bien ya que son en base de aceites. Las CXL Horween son algo insuladas por tantas ceras que contiene aparte del estampado de color, las hace algo asfixiantes. Si son uso casual cualquier piel le va bien. En cuanto al tamaño , soy en Brannock 9EE y en Nicks 8.5 EE, John EE y RC fueron echas a mi medida en 9 EE. John son algo caras en 1000 dlls, apesar de su buena calidad, la suela es muy dura y no tan flexible . Role son mas caras aun y honestamente no reflejan el precio en la calidad, tienen mejor acabajo las John. Es mi opinion solamente.

    I have Attractions lot. 444 and....I couldn't put my feet inside. No chance at all, I wanted to return them, because what is too much, it is too much.
    Then, I try bare feet with nylon and it slipped in. After wearing boot for half hour like that, I could put my feet with thin sock. So, that is how you "break in" your engineers.
    My Brannock is 11.5 and boots are 11. And they are big enough length wise, and volume is even little too much. In future with medium sock it will be perfect.
    BTW. you can try your new boot only before cca. 2PM, after that your feet are swollen and if you first try them afternoon, you will never make it.
