  • newsball.com/ra... This is the most methodical, intense, powerful & emotional sentencing hearing I have seen in a LONG time. Morgantown, WV is finally given some answers as Prosecutor Marsha Ashdown reveals explosive graphic details in the final hours of Skylar Neese's life. We finally found out what Rachel Shoaf's confession back in January 2013 consisted of.
    Shelia Eddy was sentenced weeks prior, & her raw guilty plea & sentencing is here:

      Jenni ChaerinYB . I actually think she does feel guilt for what she has done . I think she will also have a lot of time to think it over in jail too . Its good the judge has sentenced her for a long time . More people who murder and rape should all get very lengthy sentences. Unfortunately it doesnt always happen . And I hope one day the parents can find some peace . Very sad situation.

    • @taramay8174
      @taramay8174 7 лет назад +53

      adi sh Perhaps that was a coping mechanism. Pretending as if nothing happened and blocking it out . She was the one who admitted to everything and it was her feeling so bad that led to the confession. So she did feel guilt . As horrible as her crime was . And its was absolutely atrocious! She did have a working conscience The other girl sat through her trial with no sorry or no tears and actually denied everything and didnt even admit to anything until much later. That to me screams sociopath and a person with no emotion, guilt or feeling . People can commit horrible crimes and change if they have a conscience while some obviously just can not. Either way she will have a long time to now think and suffer the punishment for her crime . And hopefully in time the parents find some peace . Its very sad .

      @Kimia Keshavare Well obviously just because she is crying it doesn't mean she is truly sorry. She murdered an innocent girl by cold glad, the girl who is supposed to be her 'best friend'. Then had the audacity to act like a victim and cry in court. Like you don't kill someone then you feel bad and apologize for it like it's nothing, it would just be an until to the victim's family. Even if she truly is regretful and sincerely regrets what she has done. It still wouldn't bring Skylar back and it won't heal the pain her family felt.

      Imagine how bad the police and investigators were. If Rachel Shoaf would not had confessed then they maybe really had got away with it.
      I bet the police and investigators did not think that 2 teen girls were capable of doing something like that.
      And that's a problem, a police and investigator should never think like that.
      Their job is to use reason , logic and evidence.
      Those girls were the last ones who saw her alive so how the fuck the police did not get anything usefull for 2 years until Rachel Shoaf confessed?
      My god how bad police work.

      To be honest, people only know what they're told by the authorities. Nobody knows how the murdered happened, they just know what happened [and make up their own stories on what happened with emotion]. This is what happens when you let the public play jury when half the people most likely haven't even served on a jury.
      I'm not defending Rachel, but can you prove they were crocodile tears? Were you inside her head or just making assumptions through a RUclips video or based on your emotions?
      And I don't even see the issue. They're serving their sentences. Lmao. What more do you possibly want from them? It's not like they're free . For God sakes, at least Rachel showed more empathy than Sheila did fake or not.

      can someone PLEASE explain how these girls had the strength to go on with such a crime? Are they diagnosed with any mental disorder.. I jusr can't comprehend it.. Besides the cruelty of the crime itself were they so stupid to think they wouldn't get caught??

    • @kendylemily5543
      @kendylemily5543 7 лет назад +23

      While Im unsure if they have any official diagnoses, they DO display text book signs of anti-social personality disorder.
      The DSM-51(diagnostic manual for mental health professionals) defines antisocial personality as someone have 3 or more of the following traits:
      -Breaks the law (they committed murder)
      -Lies/deceives others (they lied about it for months straight to the grieving parent's face)
      -Is impulsive (thought they wouldn't get caught)
      -Can be prone to aggressiveness (More detailed accounts talk about both girls displaying some aggressiveness before and after the murder)
      -Has little to no regard for the safety of others (obviously they don't care about this whatsoever)
      -Irresponsible, especially financially (Not sure on this one so can't say)
      -Doesn’t feel remorse or guilt (Only confessed and acted "remorseful" AFTER the plea bargain. Also they made jokes about the murder on social media. And the very next day after they killed her in cold blood, they were having a good ol' time on their family's boat....)
      Thats 6/7 criteria that they meet. Hope this helps!!!

      My husband's mom died Jan of 2015 of a brain tumor. Her brother died Jul 23rd 2015 in a motorcycle accident. My husband's grandparents lost both their children within 6mos of each other. I seriously could not imagine. Their mother, my husband's Nanny had a brain aneurysm when my husband was 6yrs old(he's 32 now), and a stroke but she survived, and went on to survive cancer two times. Now the cancer is back and she's not got much time, all she does is sleep she's so tired... she tells my husband "tired boy, Momma, Bubba, God, me, home" and cries for her children(she can't speak in full sentences ever since her aneurysm/stroke, my husband taught her every word she knows)and to go Home but she just won't let go, she's so scared for the rest of the family(so many are not in a good place at all), to leave all of us... So she keeps fighting even though she's so tired and ready to go be with God and her children. It's just breaking my heart every single day. I pray for healing for you. I can't imagine what I would think/want if either of my boys were ever killed, but I do know this; a murderer doesn't have the right to take a life and they're being punished for that with prison; and none of us have the right to take their life. Life is God's to take and God's only. That's not for any of us to decide. And even those murderers have parents, so I would never want them to feel what I would if I lost my child. I wouldn't want death for anyone that hurt my kids, but you damn sure bet I'd be SO angry, that's just part of grief and normal. But I would never ever take another's life because it isn't my right and I would never do that to the person's parents! People really need to think of that. Just think more and be kind and love each other as much as you can while we are here. I just believe in God and God is love and forgiveness so I would hope I could at least forgive. Sha'naan Watts mother is a perfect example of this! Her statement, and her husband's were just perfect and beautifully written. That's what I pray I would be like to anyone that hurt my child. Prayers to Skylar's family, their pain is palpable and heart wrenching and I just hope they can find some kind of peace in life. Rip Skylar Neese 😭💙

    I'm EXTREMELY confused how this isn't First Degree Murder. They planned this out for months.. that's by far the definition on 1st degree. Sickening.. just sickening.
    Edit to say this:
    I am well aware of what happened here and a deal was made. That said, still makes no sense to me why a deal is made bc this was clear 1st degree. There is evidence, confession.. theres no reason for a deal.
    Secondly, I am also aware race can sometimes play a role in these things and that's very disturbing. But we shouldn't always jump to that assumption bc it's not always true. I personally know 3 guys who at the age of 17 were all involved in a double homicide (triple technically but victims pregnancy wasnt counted as another victim). 2 of the boys were wealthy white boys, one was middle class black boy. One white boys family paid hundreds of thousands for a long trial, almost bankrupting them... he is as found guilty and sentenced to life. Second white boy also sentenced to life. The black boy.... got a deal and was sentenced to *SEVEN* years. And is walking around free now. All three were involved, there was more than one shooter in that situation and all should've been sentenced to life regardless bc our state has a murder/felony rule. No deals were offered to the other 2 boys, just the one. The victims in the case were 2 white young adults ages 19 and 21. Explain that if it's about race.

      2nd degree murder, in general, is premeditated murder against spouse or relatives, or due to personal gain and interest, without the presence of special circumstances. It is considered slightly less grave than first degree murder. In some countries second degree murder is also defined as unplanned killing due to an accident.
      apparantly it is not under special circumstances is you can believe that! this is what they mean with 1st degree! :
      In general, 1st degree murder is grave murder planned and committed in a cruel way against one or more persons, under special circumstances. The special circumstances include accompaniment of other offenses such as, kidnapping, hijacking, robbery, with an intention of financial gain, assault on pregnant women or government officials on public duty, or involving extreme torture. This is considered more serious if the person committing the offence has committed such a crime before.
      Dont you just love the law :/

She's walked round like a lost puppy in there. She ll get pretty much full half sentence . Crazy state asked for 20 knowing if she kps outta trouble she be out in 10. She's been jumped a cpl times ect. But even different pods they do occasionally see each other- programmes/work overlap ect. She plays model prisoner I wish tf Shelia would just say she dumped knives in all in the lake. She was way more inv in planning. She already took Rachel Cobb her " gorgeous " lol wife's name.

    I really hope these monsters are attacked in prison every single day. They don't deserve to be released ever and I hope they are haunted by what they did until their last disgusting breath. I can't imagine how those parents remained seated while the lawyer described their daughter being stabbed repeatedly until the evil so called friends could hear "weird noises coming from her neck." That's unbearable for any parent to hear about the baby they made and raised. I'f anybody did that to my baby the police in that court room would have a hard time keeping me away from the killer. I'd gladly die to protect my child. My heart aches for these parents and I hope no mercy is ever show to this evil trash. I do feel bad for her parents too though because nobody ever raises their kids to be crazy killers and I know their hearts are broken seeing their baby who they no doubt love unconditionally being convicted of murder that she admitted to doing. All this endless pain for each family just because they "didn't like her anymore." Stupid, sick, twisted girls who should never ever be released. Who wants them to live next door? If you do, then you get what you deserve when they turn on you. Rest in peace sweet girl and I pray your parents pain becomes less severe if that's even possible. People teach your kids self defense and how to make good choices because you can't trust anybody. Sad beyond any words....

    • @ATRaine
      @ATRaine 2 года назад +1

      I would also mention parents teach their kids that they are worthy of being valued by the company they keep, and how to recognize when someone else is two-faced, belittling, condescending, gaslighting, taking advantage of, or anything else that reflects the friendship is not genuine and must be terminated, REGARDLESS of how long they've known the other person.
      Considering the way they treated her long before the incident, I wonder how Skylar truly felt about herself if she could tolerate things that they did. It wasn't her fault, nor the parents who loved her, that Shelia had been breaking her down the entire time since they met.
      No one rushes to diagnose a minor with a severe personality disorder, but the signs can show up long before the legal age. Even then, there was no signpost pointing to this for anyone, except for the ones who did it.

    A hero?! Who were the morons that said that?! (the prosecutor said that some ppl considered rachel shoaf as a hero of sorts bc she was overcome with remorse and guilt, and revealed where Ms. Neese's body was located.) I cant believe ANYONE would even begin to think that way. Now THATS twisted, right there. The two monsters that killed this young lady, in cold blood, are just that.....monsters, and nothing more.

    • @verywarybear3588
      @verywarybear3588 8 лет назад +5

      +Andrea Jimenez I don't think anyone considered Rachel a hero for real. It's just she did lead them to the body so it made everything easier for everyone. They may never had found it otherwise as wildlife had already started scattering the bones. And Skylar's parents had the slim comfort of burying their daughter and avoiding a long drawn out trial.

    • @ajimenez1719ify
      @ajimenez1719ify 8 лет назад +4

      +verywary bear that makes sense. I just wish they would have used a different word, thats all. I dont think that either of the two girls has ever really given a reason as to why they did this, have they? I mean, other than "we didnt want to be friends with her anymore", which is a weak explanation. Im sort of starting to think that both of them have some major mental problems, and obviously can rationalize things that shouldn't be rationalized.

      ***** i just cant believe that they would actually think that they could get away with something like that. (I have no doubt that they really DID think that they could get away with it, just like you said.) Nobody ever gets away with murder nowadays, especially not teenagers that havent the slightest idea what they are doing. There is a theroy, that Skylar may have known some "secrets " about the two girls, and thats why they killed her, but i cant imagine anything being so secretive that they felt like they really would have to get rid of anyone else who knew about whatever it was.
