it made me so sad when skylar's dad said "your apology means nothing to me and my fami-- wife" it's like he realized it's not a family anymore without skylar
Agreed. She has every characteristic of being both sociopath and a narcissist. The fact that she not only murdered someone, she murdered her best friend that she had grown up with, then had the nerve to come sit with Skylar's grieving parents and cry, asking how could Skylar do this to them, due to the fact everyone thought Skylar had run away at first.
The fact that they went through the trouble of PLOTTING A MURDER AND CARRYING IT OUT, instead of just fucking saying that they didn't want to be friends with her anymore is insane. That poor girls could been alive and happy if it weren't for these psychos.
It's crazy! When I hear cases like this, premeditated and thought out over time, I think about how much time they had, alone at night with their conscience, to change their mind and think about how fkd up doing such a disgusting thing really would be. Goes to show the world we live in and what type of ppl are living in it with us.
What is most horrifying for me is the way Sheila hovered around Skylar’s parents. That they comforted and defended her. Such an added layer of betrayal. Truly devilish behavior.
Then the fact that they will be forced to see her out free in a matter of years flaunting her existence/second chance at life while they continue to grieve their daughters absence
Seems Sheila was trying to put on a good act to make herself appear all loving and innocent.. She was actually OK with getting away with that murder!! Rachael was just as bad but glad she broke down and fessed up.. They should not be serving time in the same prison tho...
The thing that baffles me the most is their reasoning: “we just didn’t like her” like what???? What does that even mean?? How does that justify wanting to murder someone?? I think skylars mom hit the nail on the head when she said it was mental illness and jealousy because that’s just insane
I agree, like theres people i dont like but that doesnt mean im gonna go kill them especially at that age you have soooo much a head of you and basically ruined because you killed someone you didn't like..... I dint understand why they couldnt have just told skylar that they didnt want to be friends with her anymore. Would have been better than being in prison. But i guess it was a mental health issue that they had like you said.
Kids dont have the sort of logical reasoning adults do. They probably wouldn't have even considered what would happen after the killing part, and that their relationship or whatever the secret was would be exposed.
My mother was murdered by a serial killer in 1980 on the Oregon coast. I grew up with some pretty accute anger problems. When I got older I went surfing for the first time. I kept going because it brought me peace. I eventually moved to the coast from Portland and made it a point to surf every day until my anger was vanquished. In my thirties I decided to look into the then unsolved case of my mom's death. When I got her death certificate to start the process I was absolutely floored to discover that my beach, the first one I ever surfed at and went to daily for healing was the very one where they discovered her mangled body. I still make a pilgrimage every year to visit the most beautiful place I've ever laid my eyes on to play in her water. Her killer was later found and died in prison while serving a life sentence...of cancer. Just felt like saying all this to total strangers for my continued healing. I'm not at ALL here for clicks and likes. Don't even reply. I ask only one thing.... Go out there and be greatful for your lives. No matter how hard it is. You got this.
I am really glad you shared about your mom, I bet she was a beautiful, amazing mother ! I hope your healing is going well , your mother would want you to live your best life and her biggest wish would be for her cherished daughter to be happy . Sending you love , positive thoughts and energy, continue your journey every year to your mom's resting place and I truly wish you both everlasting peace . 💙 💙
who was your other? I am genuinely curious now that you have mentioned it. you definitely do not have to respond, as this can be sensitive, btu now i am curious.
I honestly believe they killed her not just because “they didn’t like her” because you could easily block someone and not involve them in your life, Skylar clearly knew stuff about them. I think they killed her to cover up stuff that Skylar knew in order to stop her talking when they stopped being friends with her It’s absolutely disgusting and heartbreaking that this poor girl was murdered by two horrific individuals posing as friends
It freaks me out that Sheila and Skylar were literally childhood friends... Sheila is one of those people like Chris Watts, they act human but there is nothing inside.
Feels reminiscent of the Sarah Stern case, killed by one of her childhood friends for money and the other one helped the first cover it up. Childhood friendship doesn't mean much to psychopaths.
The fact that these girls fully planned this out too and did it with no hesitation LITERALLY COUNTED TO THREE TOO and then watched her die slowly, just wow.
Poor Skylar must’ve been in so much pain...and to lay on the cold ground, slowly bleeding to death, while looking up at those mean heartless faces...what a terrible death. Who knows what they were saying to her while she was dying. It’s unbearable to think about. Her poor parents 😢
@@davidfairweather3301I want to believe she won’t be but justice isn’t justice anymore. Those two psychos should have gotten life. I feel like Rachel is in a way worse for just standing there letting it happen when Shelia kept going. Twisted messed up people.

@@michellemybelle1231 They're both messed up. They should not be given parole. I also didn't really believe Rachel's apology to the family. Where was the guilt or the remorse on the night of July 6th? Sheila didn't even apologize to the family. She's pure evil.
At 15 yrs old my mom gave me one of the most valuable lessons that stuck to this day. She said “ if you wait for other people to entertain you, you’ll always be bored”. It changed my life! Your friends don’t include you? Entertain yourself! Read a book, watch a show, go shop at the mall, anything else instead of relying on fake friends……
I thought like that as a teenager. If any “friends” showed me they didn’t care I would just distance myself with no drama. I was alone a lot and use to think it was a weakness but now as an adult I realize I was more mature and wise then I realized. I was ok to be alone rather than be around fake friends. I have no regrets.
It wasn't that easy tho, I'm pretty sure if they would've said that to skylar she would've told people that Sheila and Rachel were hooking up. Im not saying they should've done what they did tho, what they did was completely wrong.

The look on Skylar's mom's face when Rachel said she never realized the gravity of her actions. Literally my exact same reaction. How do you not realize the gravity of MURDERING someone?!
I know right?! And Skylar's father's piercing glare. What did Rachel expect? Hey apology was basically, "Hey, I know I killed your only children but I really am so sorry. I wasn't truly myself. I was so scared, I was in a dark place." Her apology is comparable to half ass youtuber apologies.
This story is haunting. Her last words were "Why?" She was probably racking her brain trying to figure out what she could've possibly done to deserve death. Like, why?
@Margaret Bush You should but it's not like Skylar knew that these girls were dangerous, they were her best friends and she trusted them. No red flags she saw.
@@sweetdreams1678 pretty sure Kendall said people mentioned to Skylar that they were plotting to kill her... Not that it justified it of course. But that's pretty wild. Being told your friends are considering killing you
I’ve stayed away from true crime channels because of their reputation for sensationalism and disrespectful casualness of how they handle such serious topics, but I’m pleasantly surprised by how level headed, cohesive, and sympathetic your presentation of this case is. I can tell you treat this as a tragedy, and you do not speculate or try to put forth opinions as facts. Great work.
This really is one of those cases that just makes you question humanity. Just thinking of what Skylar must of felt in her last moments, her two friends just stabbing her out of no where, alone, in the dark, far away from home, there’s no words to describe how upsetting that is.
also strange how these little girls often use stabbing. i get that knives are one of the easiest things to get their hands on but gee why wouldn't they plan better. this one seemed rushed. but at the same time maybe its best if we wouldnt have to hear about anything like this
for me one of the most disturbing part is that Skylar TRUSTED them and probably didnt even suspect that something bad will happen to her on that night.....I cried a lot at the end of this video, its so so unfair :/// RIP
@@lt1070 just that!!! No matter how bad you fall out with friends, especially in high school, you never think they’re going to literally kill you! It’s just so heartbreaking
they literally stabbed her in the back (or front, correct me if i’m wrong). that’s just so wrong. i can’t even put into words how horrible what these two girls did. i couldn’t begin to imagine Skylar’s last thoughts and feelings. the betrayal, confusion, and possibly just longing to be in the arms of her parents one last time. that’s definitely extremely upsetting to think about.
I went to high school with these girls. Was in anatomy class with Shelia. I ended up moving away because I was bullied so bad there from being the new girl. And my parents were afraid to keep me there because of the Murders that happened. That’s not the first that happened at UHS. It was a nice school too!!! Sad story, Skylar went missing the summer I moved there. After Christmas break Shelia didn’t come back because she was being investigated and all our classmates suspected.
ok but the most horrifying thing is how they just left her bleed to death. Imagine giving your final breath in pain, being watched by those who betrayed, and killed you
Sheila was always jealous of Skylar. She had a better home life and seemed like she had a clear path to what she wanted for her future. When Rachel came into the picture, Shelia could manipulate both girls. Narcissists love to incorporate triangulation tactics. Can you imagine harboring hatred for someone who honestly believed you’re best friends?! Rachel isn’t an innocent party either. Narcissists are good at manipulating, but the average person would know murder is taking it too far!

Skylar’s dad is on my Facebook and he posts about her sometimes, he goes to visit her memorial a lot and posts videos of the area. I sent him a message one time expressing my sympathy for Skylar’s story and he was so kind. It breaks my heart because he’s such a nice man and you can tell this situation has just broken him. I can’t even imagine. I feel horrible for her parents.
It’s such a beautiful memorial and I’m so glad he enjoys it but idk if I would be able to relax in the spot my daughter died. Like that’s not a judgement on him or anyone at ALL this is just a personal, Idk if I’d visit if that was my daughters memorial

Okay the dad is actually breaking my heart. You can tell his daughter was his whole world. The rest of this is very upsetting, but hearing him talk, and just the pain behind his voice his making me cry real tears.
His relationship with skyler is almost what I have with my father, so I can understand from a perspective how he might have felt. I agree with the family. They can sit on those "apologies". They literally tortured this family and mocked them, honestly, for MONTHS!!!!! Sat on their daughter's bed and cried after MURDERING her
@@AmsayyJealousy is the predominant emotion of narcissists. Skylar was beautiful and genuine, Shiela was not. Jealousy and hatred grew into murder. Rachel and Skylar would have been good friends. The saddest part about this , is that Child layed there in the Wood's , thinking the whole world hated her..... God rest her soul...Baby girl, so many people do love you still
The most chilling part of this case imo is that during the investigation Sheila had tweeted something like “‘why,’ that’s my favorite question” and that was Skylar’s last words
Sheilas cousin, Alexis Eddy, was on an mtv show about 3 years back. She actually died early 2020. You can see some prison letters Sheila sent her if you do a bit of digging and not once does Sheila mention Skylar. The letters are just full of her complaining about how miserable her life is and how she wishes she could go back to her normal life, no regret or remorse for what she did to Skylar and this infuriates me. Those girls do not deserve to ever get out, especially Sheila.
I read the letters and they sound so whiny and bratty for someone who had the guts to kill her childhood friend just because she didn't like her anymore. "I'm sorry I'm here" lol.
Rachel’s apology is all about her self. She only is sad she got caught. She was confident at first over the phone when she was being questioned. And still kept up the act online, after she confessed to police.
@@quantumsmom559 And I hope she did feel at least a slither of remorse.. However, a more appropriate statement could have been, “I am so sorry for what I put my friend through & watching her bleed to death, I need help--- I think about it every time I close my eyes, I think about how she won't get to go on and graduate and have kids and get married " Rachel’s statement was centered around the pain it caused HER and the effect it had on HER life.
The fact that Skylar tweeted "sometimes I worry I'll still be saying dude when I'm 50, which is way too old for it to be acceptable" just heartbreaking....😭😭😭
This is disgusting, that poor girl. They literally could have said “we don’t to be friends with you anymore” they didn’t need to kill her. R.I.P Skylar.
@@imzadi83fanvids7 just because Skylar was mad at them for being closer. I think if the two girls came to her and said we don’t want to be friends anymore but please don’t dish out the secrets I’m sure Skylar would have been fine with it. But that doesn’t give them the excuse to kill her.
There are other versions of this story that basically say that Rachel and Sheila were in a sexual relationship and Rachel feared her parents finding out because they were super religious and would have made her go no contact with Sheila, maybe taken her to one of those terrible boarding schools etc. So that was the motive. And these are also teenage brains, not brains that have the appropriate balance of risk and cognition. Not to defend what they did, as it is still so unnecessary. But I think there was possibly more to the story.
@Nymph Exactly. Rachel seems to at least show remorse, but Sheila is completely inhuman and people like her really don’t deserve to live. She’s the type of demon the death penalty was invented for.
They probably aren't allowed to be in the same cell block or have any interactions besides maybe passing each other in the hall while going to the cafeteria or the yard for rec time. When I did my internship, the corrections officers at the local jail said that they tried their best to keep family members separated, and I imagine that would apply to crime partners as well.
@@sydneypeck2488 You’re right! Skylar’s parents have talked to the warden who say they’re not allowed to interact and they apparently don’t want to anyway, since Rachel ratted Shelia out. I don’t know if they’re in the same unit/cell block, but probably not! They probably see each other around.
Exactly if you don't want to hang out with someone anymore just tell them! Don't kill them. I remember I hung out with 2 girls I That were on my dance class on high school and she came up to me after class and told me not to hang out with them anymore cause she wanted it to just be the 2 of them.

When Rachel is giving that half-assed “apology” you can see the pure hatred in Skylar’s father’s eyes. There is no way to apologize for killing someone. You can’t just go “sorry, guess I shouldn’t have killed your loved one.” There is nothing you can do that will take away the pain you caused their family, and trying to apologize just makes it worse.
It's so sad that the family had to lose their daughter. Not only that but from a girl that was her friend for YEARS. Who was treated like family, constantly being at their home for dinners and sleepovers. And then somehow gets "talked into" killing that person. Insane. Literally!
When many people are warning you about a “friend”, even if you don’t believe them, take a step back. Try to see what they’re seeing. Sometimes we are too invested in a person to see the true personality. So sad.
Can't agree with you more, bro. In high school friends were warning me about someone I had befriended who became my abuser and subsequent stalker after I dismissed them. Red flags are not red herrings.
This makes me think about the Slenderman stabbing. It's crazy how a child's psyche can get so warped and that their minds can blend reality and fantasy so much that they think murder is a valid option. These girls deserve their sentences and I'm glad the field of psychology is growing so more cases like this can be prevented.
At least the girl who masterminded the Slenderman stabbing had the excuse of having schizophrenia. The murderers in this case were just walking high school mean girl stereotypes.
This reminded me of that too, in a way. Two friends conspiring to kill the other one. The girl from the Slenderman stabbing survived though, which is amazing given what happened to her. Her two friends were a bad combination; one was schizophrenic and the other one was very convinced whatever was on the internet was real. These girls need help too, though. If you don't like someone, then don't be friends with them. You don't have to kill them.
@Beastbombshell thank you for understanding literal children can change. These kids are awful, but there’s a big difference between someone who commits crime when they’re older and someone who commits crime as a child. Child criminals can change and often realize they were little monsters... adult criminals still need help but are often are much much further gone.

I really wish she didn’t go with them that morning and took heed of others trying to warn her. I agree with the father that it was pure jealousy mixed with evil smh. They deserve to rot in prison for the rest of their lives.
I agree. Part of me wonders if there is something deeper that they were trying to cover up something. There are some details that don’t quite add up to me like the tweets skylar made before about exposing something. Maybe it’s me trying to make sense of something that has no sense. It’s so sickening and I teared up several times watching this. My heart breaks for the family.

If Rachel hadn't confessed, they would've gotten away with it. Makes me wonder how many more missing person cases are actually premeditated murders that haven't been uncovered.
They would figure it out even without Rachel confessing, they had video footage from several places, they found Skylar's blood in Sheila's car, the police had proof that the girls lied.
When Dave said “She can take her apologies and sit on them bc that’s all their worth, to me and my fa-...Wife” instantly brought me to tears 😭😭 I can’t imagine that horrible devastating heartbreak. With how malicious they BOTH WERE THEY DESERVED LIFE SENTENCES.

It disgusts me that Sheila was her childhood friend and she killed her in cold blood just for the fact she didnt like her. Imagine all those years of friendship just for that person to kill you in the end up
And for all that time Sheila's parents knew Skyler too. How do they live with the fact that their kid is a murderer, to have to face the parents of the child their kid viciously killed (that they knew personally for years), in retrospect using a knife everyday that their kid used to kill her friend, driving around in a car that had the blood of a person their kid killed ,then when Sheila finally went to prison they had to pack up all her stuff (which had to be crazy to know everything belonged to a violent murderer who is also their kid).
Police need to stop going "well it's just a runaway, so no amber alert" because even if they are running away, they are at an extremely high risk to be kidnapped, trafficked, brutalized, etc. runaways need to be taken seriously, because despite it being their prerogative to leave, they are still in severe danger
It hasn’t changed here. Amber alerts would be watered down and people would get alarm fatigue if they included random runaways. So no. They shouldn’t be included.
Even if "it's a runaway" they should still be trying to find these underage kids! Like just because they chose to run away doesn't mean they're somehow safe. ughhh
It's only like that because the person is choosing to go even though they know the risks. It's not like a child that just gets taken who had no choice 🤷🏾♀️

I feel like if a child is missing regardless if they think they could have ran away should still put out an Amber Alert. There should be only one criteria..”is the child missing?” If yes, then alert everyone! What does it hurt?
I get what you mean but to put out an amber alert you have to know who has taken a child and have details such as a license plate and a description of the person who has taken the child otherwise motorists who hear the alert don’t know who or what they are looking for.
I agree. Unfortunately, it seems like Skyler was already dead by the time the Amber alert would have gone out, if they'd done it immediately. That's not always going to be the case, though.
Well I did once, but I stopped and I was pretty much scared of myself, I'm scared of hurting others so I wouldn't do that anymore, I let them go and live with my life.

@@a_gurl596 its kind of like, if you’ve ever heard the phrase “we really did that.” it’s usually a prideful remark, when two or more people express their feelings of joy, contentment, overall happiness with the outcome of what they did. basically saying “we really did go on three” was a subtle nod she knew only her accomplice would understand, that meant “we really did that”
I know it’s just a superficial coincidence, but I find it really bizarre how a lot of the case follows the same story beats as the Slenderman Stabbing: - A teenager was lured into the woods and ambushed by two other girls who were considered her “friends.” - The victim received numerous stab wounds from both girls, though one seemed to be more in control of the situation than the other. - Even after their arrest, the sanity of both perpetrators was repeatedly brought into question. The only major differences between the two cases were the motive, the likelihood of mental illness being involved, and of course how Peyton managed to survive her attack while Skylar wasn’t so lucky.
I think I remember watching about that one, weren't they around 12 and 13? They were walking down the road covered in blood when an officer pulled up and detained them. Their excuse was something to do with a slenderman (something like that) belief they had and they had to make a sacrifice to him? The 3 had a sleepover the night before for one of the girls bdays and they took knives from her kitchen, talked her into going to a park nearby. Maybe I'm thinking of another case but the one that I'm thinking of, the girl that was attacked survived. She was also stabbed many times. That story hit hard for me because my daughter is 13 and I always worry about others having ill intentions, my daughter is the most loving and caring kid, always wanting and willing to help and fix situations for anyone, be that shoulder to cry on and just be there for them, her heart is so huge! It hurts her when she sees someone hurting, she always feel the need to make it better so to speak! I just worry about others taking advantage of her and her special qualities and big heart. These stories just break my heart, I will never understand how someone can hurt another person especially children!
This is the play book for lily white girls. People literally sympathize with them for no real reason other than perceived helplessness. There's a demographic where it goes completely the other way, too.
Did I misunderstand or are they both incarcerated at the same prison? It seems inappropriate to let them be together. Also, the parole sentences are just a joke and insulting to be honest.
Yes, but apparently they don't really speak to each other. Rachel also got married. There's a twitter "fanpage" (disgusting) for Shelia and it has info on there about it all.
Shelia is a stone-cold psychopath... comforting the parents when she knew what happened to Skylar and where she was. My heart hurts for Skylar and her mom and dad.
@@matilda4406 Rachel was an accomplished performer. She had acting lessons and starred in many plays in local theatre and school for which she won many best actress awards awards . Voted most likely to be on Broadway What ur seeing is an act and if u go back watch Skylar's mothers reaction during rachels apology she knew this was a performance of a lifetime. I'm with Skylar's dad,, NO pity for Rachel. She's just as calculating as Sheila, just better at acting. She confessed not out of guilt but self preservation
You should see her most recent mugshots.. smiling wide and looking all prettied up, there are even twitter pages that support her and want her to get out of prison because people think she was just a teenager who made a mistake. It’s absolutely sickening.
i wanna hear more about sheila's mom, because i feel like she definitely knew what sheila did. why else would rachel *run* to her house to "get help"? needed her to help keep her story straight!
I agree with Skylar’s dad, to go to grieving parents and comfort them knowing you are the reason they lost their child is straight up PSYCHOPATH! I hope Rachel and Sheila never get out, they knew what they were doing, they planned it, and even gloated about it. Rachel may have apologized, but only after the fact of being caught and facing jail time. Sheila had ZERO REMORSE. They are dangers to society and I hope they never see the light of day. RIP SKYLAR 🙏🏾♥️
Rachel still seemed human since her conscience and guilt broke her down, but Sheila is just pure evil until the end. That cop who thought she was a narcissist was spot on.
Everyone’s like: she died alone, how sad! But she didn’t. Two people she considered her friends stood by and let her die after stabbing her over 50 times. She may have died very lonely and betrayed but she was not alone. And that’s what makes this so fucking sickening

Another sick part is if you look their names up on twitter they literally have fan pages. People talking about writting them letters and how they deserve a second chance because they made a mistake and their sorry. A mistake is hurting your friends feelings, killing them isnt a mistake you can just feel sorry for. Its sick how people are idolizing them

@@sarcasmxkateI think that’s even more insulting tbh. Rachel put on a performance, snitched on Sheila to save her own skin, and even cut herself a deal before she decided to confess. She even believed at one point she would get immunity. The one thing I can say about Sheilia is that she didn’t insult the Neese families intelligence by pretending that she was sorry and didn’t understand the gravity of her actions. Rachel playing this “holier than thou” character and acting like she was led a stray by Sheila is utter nonsense. She had the most to lose if Skylar made it public Sheilia and her were sleeping together. Her church family judging her, her parents judging her, her boyfriend dumping her. Would not surprise me at all if it was all Rachel’s idea to begin with.

Yes! Runaways are in danger too. What are they running from? There was a runaway named Mikela Bali in 2015 but I think she is in human trafficking from the way things turned out. This happened in Canada.
@@chloel.8007 The act of running away tends to be a symptom of poor impulse control. So people with poor impulse control are more likely to end up in dangerous situations, based on their lack of ability to reason through the consequences of their actions. So already, runaways are in danger. Then, you look at all of the situations a runaway could be put in potentially... lack of shelter, lack of money, lack of clothing, lack of food, drugs or alcohol, sex trafficking, etc. There’s no reason we shouldn’t be looking for them with everything we’ve got. It’s just irresponsible.
especially when the parents, family friends, teachers, etc. can vouch that the victim showed no signs of wanting to run away. the first 24 hours are the most important.
I can't even begin to imagine what Skylar's parents went through and now have to live with. And what Skylar went through the night she was murdered by the girls who she thought were her friends...it's extremely sad. Rest in peace sweet girl ❤️🙏
And the fact that he said “to me and my f- wife” in court as if he began saying family but then realised he only had his wife left I was literally sobbing
I know there's debate over who the bad influence was, Rachel or Sheila. I personally think Sheila was the louder personality. The fact that Rachel was racked with guilt and Sheila seemed unbothered indicates to me that she was the driving force, but they both deserve to be in prison
This is heartbreaking. I had a group of “friends” beat me up at a party because they saw me talking to a boy one of them liked. We were out in the middle of nowhere and my car was a over a mile away. I had to sleep in my tent that night which was the most terrifying night of my life. They taunted me all night and threw things at my tent. This was before we had cell phones. I was beat so badly, I could not see as I walked to my car at dawn. Hearing stories like these makes me see just how lucky I was.
I remember reading in one book that 3-person group should be avoided at all costs because 2 will always turn against the remaining one. Every other number of people in the group is better than 3 people. Also RIP, Skylar.
I really hate those cases where the police are like "oh a teenager is missing, probably just ran away, because that is what teens do and we obviously know the missing individual better than their parents etc :)", like how about you listen to that teenager's loved ones who actually know them, thus know what is normal behavior for them, honestly!!
Right? What I don’t get is even if they are a run away, why can’t the police just help look for them anyway? And especially why not just assume the worst when the parents are saying their child running away makes no sense?
i think sometimes it depends on guidelines and levels of priority, they won’t prioritize things that don’t immediately look suspicious or dangerous but their rules and guidelines definitely need to change. not cool that people are getting away with stuff like this bc they’re viewed as a lower priority
i get your point, but also abusive parents who don't want their kid to run away wouldn't claim that the kid hated their house, it would look bad on them. if anything, they should listen to their friends.

I kept going because it brought me peace. I eventually moved to the coast from Portland and made it a point to surf every day until my anger was vanquished.
In my thirties I decided to look into the then unsolved case of my mom's death. The letters are just full of her complaining about how miserable her life is and how she wishes she could go back to her normal life, no regret or remorse for what she did to Skylar and this infuriates me. There are other versions of this story that basically say that Rachel and Sheila were in a sexual relationship and Rachel feared her parents finding out because they were super religious and would have made her go no contact with Sheila, maybe taken her to one of those terrible boarding schools etc. So that was the motive. Rachel actually didn't want to be in prison with Shelia, she was kinda scared of her (as she snitched on her). They don't talk in there.
There's only one female prison in West Virginia

The apologies are not truly for the families its for the judge/jury to try to help their sentencing.

@@Melingue what....?
It shocks me that Racheal is a Christian, the most very hurtful thing you could do to God is take someone's life away.
People warned Jodi Arias' victim about her as well and he did not listen
You don’t have to believe them but at least keep it in mind if other red flags show up
Happened to me too many times. The only people that have hurt me were people someone else warned me about
@Tricia Geesey its backwards actually. They trust too much so they keep that friend.
@Beastbombshell the only thing they need is jail forever!
@Beastbombshell thank you for understanding literal children can change. These kids are awful, but there’s a big difference between someone who commits crime when they’re older and someone who commits crime as a child. I know it’s just a superficial coincidence, but I find it really bizarre how a lot of the case follows the same story beats as the Slenderman Stabbing:
- A teenager was lured into the woods and ambushed by two other girls who were considered her “friends.”
- The victim received numerous stab wounds from both girls, though one seemed to be more in control of the situation than the other.

Voted most likely to be on Broadway What ur seeing is an act and if u go back watch Skylar's mothers reaction during rachels apology she knew this was a performance of a lifetime.
I had this same thought.
Narcissists and pathological liars can fool even their parents.
@@kellicvred they can definitely. She also noted that Sheila's mom kept trying to get the hearing postponed or something. Seems pretty suspicious.
That’s a legal literally her mum should be in jail for information hiding about Skyler‘s death like your daughter stabbed another girl 55 times!?
you should watch the lifetime movie about it. in the movie the mom was an alcoholic who wasn't set in reality
Exactly, she died with the worst people around her that she could ever have. I would rather die alone than die like that

This story was gut wrenching. I remember watching her Dad at the court case of one of the murderers. His heart was completely destroyed.
The fact that Sheila could sit there and "cry" in SKYLAR's room, while being comforted by Skylar's MOTHER after killing Skylar with her own hands was fucking disgusting.
Shocking.

Another sick part is if you look their names up on twitter they literally have fan pages. A mistake is hurting your friends feelings, killing them isnt a mistake you can just feel sorry for. Its sick how people are idolizing them

Sheila's lack of empathy for Skylar shows that she's a real sociopath. Rachel at least made an apology
Rachel is a sociopath. She apologized not because she meant to but because it made her feel good.
I think Rachel’s lawyer told her to read the apology. I didn’t find it genuine
@@Hannahleigh_sure and I have zero sympathy for Rachel, but she at least made the choice to look remorseful. Sheila's clearly far more unhinged. There's genuinely nothing there. That lack of emotion is terrifying.
@@Hannahleigh_right
@@sarcasmxkateI think that’s even more insulting tbh.
Skylar's parents have actually stated they respect Sheila not giving them a fake ass apology because they know she has no remorse for killing Skylar and they didn't wanna hear a bs apology from her
respect is... very wrong word.
@@whodatninja439 I just meant that her parents did say in interviews that they're glad Sheila didn't apoligize because they didn't wanna have to sit there and listen to Shelia apoligize when they know she's not sorry at all
When they cut to them during her apology, they were not impressed
I totally get that
Can you even imagine a parent having to hear these girls speak after brutally killing their only child? Bless them both. Hopefully they can one day find some resemblance of peace.
Today is Skylar's birthday. I can't imagine what her parents are going through. I honestly can't stop crying & maybe thats dramatic but I don't care. Happy birthday, sweet girl. 💔

It PISSES me off that runaways aren’t taken seriously. They still don’t do Amber Alerts for runaways in some places. Runaways are still in danger.
Yes I agree. Altough each year (!) there are 1.6-2.8 million runaways :(
@@Swiss_Girl wow that's a hell of a lot😩

I know there's debate over who the bad influence was, Rachel or Sheila. I personally think Sheila was the louder personality. The fact that Rachel was racked with guilt and Sheila seemed unbothered indicates to me that she was the driving force, but they both deserve to be in prison
Sheila was the evil force and Rachel was the weak a$$ B.
Rachel HAD to confess to make her sentence less. She had to make a decision either first or second degree. Theyre both evil on the same length
They're both heartless terrible people. Rachel confessed bc she knew the cops were on to them, not because she felt bad.
they are both terrible but tbh i think sheila was evil and didnt care lmfao rachel just wanted a lesser sentance
For some reason I thought the red head was the evil-er one..... they both look like narcissists
Hearing stories like these makes me see just how lucky I was.
hope you have better friends now
Glad you made it out of there alive. School-aged kids are scary.
That's truly so horrible! I hope you're healing from that, and I hope that they rot in hell. I'm so sorry for you.
Those people suck hope you have better friends now. Or could at least find better friends in the future. 💙💖
I do hope you're okay and recovered, hun. Wishing you all the best
