@@bayareaplaya6004 lebron can still be the slasher when he has the ball. He’s very good at knowing when to cut as well when he’s off ball. Remember when he got that WIDE open dunk from cutting in the corner after bronny checked in. Ad is a surprisingly good playermaker in the post. Watch ad average a career high in assists this year, or atleast more than he has in recent years. I don’t think ad getting more touches is bad for LeBron or the lakers offense
It’s weird how people haven’t noticed he’s tried to defer to AD over the past couple of years.
@@terronricketts5867 good point. But during the ham era there were also stretches where ad simply did not get the ball especially during clutch time. I think that’ll change under JJ
Nice video. I noticed they seem taking more pleasure on the court and during trainings too than last year. I think JJ will be a great coach but he is also a good manager. I'll definitely keep an eye on the lakers this year without expecting too much from them.
Love these break downs
This is really good stuff ! Great explanations 👍
I KNEW JJ WAS THE KEY TO THE LOCK ON THIS OFFENSE AND GREAT EXPLANATION AND GOOD VIDEO
Lakers new OFFENSE UNSTOPPABLE 💯
That dish by Reaves at 4:40 was so casually smooth
So smooth I thought I didn’t hear a whistle and the play was dead
I was about to comment on your click-baity title, but instead let me say this: this is the best analysis of game and schemes LAL ran against Minnesota!
great breakdown video of the offense!
This was an awesome breakdown. Glad I found it. Absoultely love the pick off the cross screen (4:03).. think this will be one of their favorite sets over the year. Really don't think it is at all defendable
Good offense and execution. just couldn’t bring results but the process is looking good.
Lebron can actually save his energy instead of having to score 30 to win
The lakers looked young & fast. The ball movement was great!
This is a good vid man, solid analysis
They looked exactly how they looked the last few years -- when Bron doesn't have the ball in his hand 85% of a possession .. and AD is the focal point of the offense
Way more off ball movement was my biggest take away
@@Hobbsthetiger They had the same level of off-ball movement under Ham, Vogel, and Walton when Bron was either not playing or occasionally for stretches in the playoffs. Otherwise, Bron would wreck the ball movement by routinely shooting 30-foot 3s 3 seconds into the shot clock or backing his man done for 14 seconds for a bucket. Bron played team concept ball in game one thus far. The test is whether he continues to play that way should they have a 4-game losing streak or the media starts to wonder if "Father time is catching up because he's not only average 16, 5 and 4 etc.
@@Goodguy1fulBron was THE problem yet he still had the highest plus/minus on the lakers last year?
@@frankiethefrog1752 I don't subscribe to the notion that "Plus/minus" tells you everything you need to know about a player's commitment to playing basketball within team concepts -- or in playing in a way the gives his team the best chance to win... as every team in the NBA has a player on their roster with the "Highest
Plus/ minus .. doesn't mean they were all playing effective winning basketball.
8:50 idk why that was funny
Ye
What’s so disturbing is the fact that the Rookie (#4) that contributed to the win didn’t even get any PR. No end of game interview like they did with the other rookie (#9) who did nothing except miss open shots and chase a couple players around the floor. This is so terrible.
You shoot 5/30 from three and still beat a team that was in the WCF last season, you doin something right.
Yes hopefully this system works in the long run, consistency is key for them.
72 points in the paint is nuts!
Jj is already a top 15 coach
Amazing analysis 👏🏾
I think the interesting thing that you bring up that everyone kind of looked over is this: what if JJ wasn't hired for Lebron, but really for AD? What if his interviews were just about highlighting the succession plan that has so far failed to materialize every since he arrived in Los Angeles? Great observation and very curious to see how it will play out during the seaon.
if those shots start falling, this team may finally secure a playoff spot without having to go through the play-ins. title contention is still a long way away but it's clear that this team is heading to the right direction.
It was one game carried by AD the glazing is insane
Good vid man!
Can't wait to see your Nuggets Thunder breakdown good sir
and I hope my thunder can get back to full strength ASAP as well
What I saw that I liked from JJ was that he felt the swift in the game and changed line ups damn its been awhile I seen bron be content sitting on the bench
If AD continues where he left off last season, coupled with this new and improved offense, the Lakers will have a solid season 🍿Thanks for the breakdown.
Great video and breakdown
As with the last few seasons, the Lakers will be as good as AD's fitness allows
DLO pass at 6:08 was 🔥🔥🔥

Dude sick analysis
I was watching the game thinking damn JJ done did it
Darvin ham really was putting LA in hell
Great video man
JJ said that apparently the ball was completely new so the players weren't used to the feel.
Nice job. Subscribed. 👍
Love the break down
Nice vid 🫡. Thank you
Something that I absolutely loved was then exploiting personnel changes. They move to a zone and Bron finds 3 layups. Randle came in at the 5 and they immediately find 2 dunks.
I feel sorry for rudy man, and Randle is a Question mark for me on D..
Before I seen a practice or a first game, I had this secure feeling that, “I trust JJ”. This game over validated my feelings in way more ways than one.
I’m excited to watch Laker basketball again this year since 2020 championship.
Where are all the JJ haters at? Loud before the season started… not too loud now. 🤣
To me, it looks like a version of the triangle. And it looks good. Thank you JJ.😊
Never been a JJ fan but it's hard to ignore how much better the offense looked.
thankyou JJ Reddick, finally a coach that doesn't rely on individual players to pull points from their own bag, it finally looks like the lakers have a plan and arent just getting Bron and AD to try and score
I love seeing that lineup reeves, dlo, knect. Too much firepower
Great breakdown
Lakers definitely look like a dangerous playoff team if they can stay healthy
its so crazy what an actually good coach can do. when players trust the coach and buy in, it makes a vast difference
and imagine if those threes are falling in. The space in the paint area will definitely widen more . I mean JJ as a court general before with all the plays on his mind and Lakers executing it is really a fresh start.
i think it also helps they have a more available roster where all these movements are happening often because not everyones getting gassed
Great Video!
This didn’t age very well.
-Lo is exactly who we thought he was😂
nice analysis
This offense looks very good and got room for improvement considering how poor they were shooting 3's but i feel like the Wolves's defense's been quite underwhelming. Don't know how much the switch between KAT and Randle is to blame for it but having Gobert and taking 73 points in the paint is quite surprising for this team
I’m so happy as a lakers fan we don’t have bum ass ham anymore just tryna play the 2 man game all game and just saying to “be aggressive” in the game 😭😂
Subbed up. I like your style bro
Honestly that Reaves at the elbow and Bron back cut for the dunk looked intentional. Saw an analyst point out that Reeves rarely picks up the dribble in that situation. He was peeking baseline the entire time and even turned for a handoff while Bron fakes towards it and then cuts back door. So sexy if this is true!
that hornes action is looking vaery lethal if you put a slightly better passer like D-lo and Rui is making those corner 3's this might be very lethal.
crazy how the purpose of hornes just clicked all of a sudden
JJ is the new Steve Kerr. He created his own system with the combo of GSW (forcing the D to consistently move, creating confusion and openings) + DEN (handoffs, creating instant opening and dives) + CHI (triangle, anyone could score).
@6:54 did they misspell Candace Parker? Lol anyways I love this video bc it’s really reaching BBALL knowledge. I’m super excited to see how the Lakers keep this up
