To be fair Hamm’s offense often did have solid movement (not this good)… in the first half of games. But later in the season LeBron really slowed things down. Dude was 40, just got tired late in games, and did a lot of holding and running clock. I’m a LeBron fan, but let’s be objective.

In the 2024 Playoffs when the Timberwolves were shooting 3's like hot garbage they crumbed against the Mavs. Being able to win convincingly with bad shooting and still rebound for a bucket is THE recipe for success.

I don’t think either of them want that. They want schemes and game plans but also have the ability to call an audible if they see the defense acting differently. Bron has always said they want plays to go through AD. Vogel did that I think.

Instead now you give the pnr to the lakers. 8:00 lebron playing offball is good. Keeps him on the court but puts less pressure on him, so he’ll be available during the playoffs. The rest of the team also have more skills than just 3 and d, so utilizing them gives more depth to the offense than what ham did last year. You still have lebron if you need a quick play.
