If you are a victim of domestic abuse, please reach out to someone for help. Please call the national domestic abuse hotline at 1-800-799-SAFE. That’s 1-800-799-7233 or go to thehotline.org to chat with someone online. The great thing about this website is that, at any time, hitting the escape key twice will instantly take your browser to a google search page. In the event the abuser is nearby, you can ensure that you don’t get caught trying to get help.
If you are having feelings of harming yourself or someone else or even just need someone to talk to, please contact your local mental health facility, call 911 or call Mental Health America who operate the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK. That’s 1-800-273-8255. They’re available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The fact that the dog gets scared when there is screaming on the TV is so telling of the brutality that happened that night.
Really by far the worst aspect of this is that Michel manipulated his siblings to open the locked doors. They maybe could have lived but they didn’t want their big brother to be in danger

Exactly. I loved Mortal Kombat, Doom and Duke Nukem and played them all the time when I was like 10. It looks like a ton of us are curious about violent crime on here and I feel less weird now knowing that.

@@eg816 I want to understand the mind frame of someone who would commit a crime like this
My pain is my own, no one needs to feel what I feel.
Regardless whatever underlying condition these monsters have it definitely played a role in it.
This is probably one of the most accurate documentaries on this case that I've seen so far, so thank you so much for that. The names and faces of the two female survivors were supposed to remain private, though, as they don't want the attention from it. The eldest has come such a long way in her recovery but she will be emotionally and mentally healing from this for the rest of her life, long after her physical injuries have gone. She and Daniel were absolutely the heroes in this. And this case was the worst one that ever came through the office. I don't know a single one of the prosecutors and/or staff members that weren't affected by this one. The courthouse was a madhouse for both trials. So thankful to BAPD and the whole team at the DA's Office that put Robert and Michael away for the rest of their miserable lives. Rest in peace to all 5 of the victims. The park that replaced the house is so peaceful and beautiful.
I cannot imagine what the surviving sister must go through in her life. I can only hope she is surrounded by a loving supporting family and therapy. To go through what she went through and hearing what her cowardly brothers did to their siblings, is beyond disturbing. Thankfully, the baby sister knew nothing of it and likely doesn't remember the two killers anyway. There was an interview with one of the brothers about a year or two ago, from prison. He said he didn't mind prison because all he wanted was his own room. It was very strange. He told a totally different story than the one in the interview room with the detective. Or maybe it was the other brother, not sure. But I do hope the surviving sisters are living the most amazing lives ever.
Do you know why your city has had multiple mass family homicides?
Operators be like: hey can you talk a bit louder so the criminals can hear you?
Right, that shit pisses my off 🤬
Bro that phone call got me FUMING!
Just call, give an address and a short and brief explanation of what’s happening and hang up
i can understand it as a secretary bc even when people talk at a normal level, it can be really hard to hear them give important info over the phone. but it's still frustrating to listen to them not understanding people when they're in danger
@@acklesis i understand that point of view that they may not be able to hear everything being said Bc there may even be lots of noise around them in their work space but also if the police was already sent out , I feel they should still try and have the person remain as quiet as possible since that can cost their life in many cases, even if it takes slightly longer to understand since the most important thing is keeping the person alive not to retrieve all the information,
Poor Daniel should be considered a hero. He saved his sisters' lives and likely more.
He is a hero / very brave / lord this story is so hard

If there is any case in the world that deserves juveniles to be able to be tried as adults and receive life without parole... THIS case is it.
the death penalty is suitable for this specific case
The death penalty would be fine with me
Exactly. Even the DP is warranted in my opinion.. that’s just way too many vicious murders.. also for the fact they didn’t stop out of remorse they stopped because the cops caught him. If they were successful in their true plan- they would’ve went on to be mass murderers.. sooo ya, DP absolutely would be appropriate.
Ohkaykay
You are correct. But I think a LOT of these need to be prosecuted in that way, and I believe the death penalty should be on the table as well, for crimes an adult would be held to that standard.

Strong little child
When he said "Help", I cried. Omg!
As a former 911 operator, I can unfortunately tell you, they all haunt you....I had a 5 year old call me, could barely form a sentence, saying daddy was hurting mommy. I tried to tell him to go hide but I heard the dad ask him who was he talking to and the little boy said "the police, daddy. You were mean to mommy" then I heard a gunshot. The little boy and the mom were found dead. Mom was beaten to death and the 5 year old had a single gunshot to the head. I only got the address because the young boy called from a landline, which gives me the address immediately. I worked for 3 years, I took approximately 95,000 calls in that time period. The call I described was simply.....one of them....
@@moderategiantx3374 that's heavy. do those instances relate to compassion fatigue?
This story breaks my heart man. As an older brother I can't imagine being this disgustingly twisted to where I could end the lives of my siblings. Much less smile after. Two true sick freaks.
I could never understand any murder which is why I watch these
I get you. As the oldest sibling in my family this got me feeling awful and really heart broken for the younger siblings who probably couldn't put up much of a fight against those 2 demons.
And the fact that he tricked and killed his siblings who were trying to save his life. Like even the most fucked up people usually treat the people that are kind to them kindly back. This is next level evil
Anyone tries hurting my brothers their catching some 223 rem to the head
They’re human, not freaks, no different from you, aside from maybe experiencing or lacking suffering and thus missing the potential to build empathy; but nonetheless, their brains were severely underdeveloped (it doesn’t finish growing until 25) I don’t think they had the capability to truly understand what they were doing.
you can literally hear Daniel say "no Michael please" and that hurts so much
I can only imagine how many of us would love to knock that smirk of his bloody face.
While we keep him securely in place with a couple of bear traps...
Good thing prison doesn’t treat child killers nicely
Thats exactly what he wants. Your anger. Your "if I was there I would do ____". Your outrage. Thats the whole reason he came up with this plan. The best way to deal with someone like this is to lock them up and forget about them. The less outrage you show, the better. He knows he is getting a massive rise out of people, thats why he smirks
Really? Are you NOT GETTING THE POINT?? His dad DID smack his face...and threw him across the room. See what happened? Really, use just one brain cell up before you say something so inappropriate

I feel especially bad for the surviving sisters bc of how isolated they were before being violently shoved into the real world. Like how can they trust anyone after being nearly murdered by their family, but also being cut off from other people? Its so sad, and im sure the isolation definitely contributed to this in one way or another.
😔
They never knew what real life was the only life they saw was on the computer it just leaves me wondering why they did it. I remember Roberts lawyer saying that Robert would have a better life in prison than he ever had at home. Maybe that's why the records have been sealed I looked everywhere for his Roberts police interview now l know why l couldn't find it. It's so tragic but we'll never know why they did it they certainly are monsters.
Yeah, I know this may sound horrific, but it probably would've been better for them to all go together. The remaining ones will not be normal.
The little one slept through it all, she will be ok as long as she has loving parents now.
@@jacqueline3782 I think they stand a very good chance in life, they will always have the support they need, and also they are now out of the jail cell of the home they once lived. Lots of people go through tragic beginnings in life, and become very strong. To be honest I don't even know why I watched it?
My soul burned in pain when little Daniel bravely called 911 & you hear him let his big brother in, probably feeling relieved, and he says something like, "I called them", meaning the police. All to have that brother he was so relieved to see be the one he should've been fearing. So, so heartbreaking. 😭💔🥀
And to hear him say "please don't murder me" is heartbreaking.
@Jay Leno he was a kid. What would you do if you were in that situation at that age? Then he put in the best action to help his family and called 911
@Jay Leno so would I have done. Maybe his access was blocked. The sister tried to do the same and look what happened to her. I'm thinking you are a juvenile? That's not an insult. You just sound very young.
@Jay Leno hindsight is 2020. when you're in the moment, and in flight or fight, you don't always make the wisest decisions. the kid, even if he didn't hide in the most optimal place, was doing what he realistically could do to stay alive. everyone wants to sound tough, but you don't know how you would really react in that moment. have some respect for the kid.

Damn, too heavy... had to hold back tears, I can't believe that's how dispatchers are trained, you hear a child scared and whispering and you force him to speak loudly when he is obviously trying to hide...
Yes, I don't get it either. Crap, with all the technology you should be able to ping the phone's location and get help there quicker, or even with a name, start tracking addresses.
Ferreal so stupid
To be fair, she had no idea what was going on. She didn’t even know he was hiding. She did the best she could with what she could do. She didn’t tell him to speak loudly she just couldn’t understand what he was saying so she kept repeating the questions. She has to have some idea of what’s going on so she can send the right kind of help or it just defaults to one or two cops coming for a wellness check, and it’s usually not rushed.
@@user-lu2tb9nc3x that’s what they do but pinging isn’t an exact science like they show on TV. Phone numbers and names don’t always add up with a persons location either. They would end up sending the police to locations that weren’t correct. That’s why it’s best to get the address from the caller directly ASAP.
@@ssharkbait believe me, I get your point. But as a retired medical worker, you just get an instinct. We saved many a life based on the phone calls we got and what we saw directly face to face. Many of the interns rotating through used to tell us to chill out because we were over-reacting but with our insistence, we got those patients to ICU in time to get the critical care they needed. Later we could hear the senior doc telling the interns
not to ever discount " our instincts" because many times it was better than scientific data. I'd rather get myself in trouble directing a cop out to a potential emergency or crime scene rather than find out the person had succumbed to some horrible injury. I know the common adage is " opinions are like a----holes, everyone has them" and this was mine. Not intending to be cruel or insensitive. People have good instincts but they ignore them or don't cultivate them. It's a sixth sense, it's what makes your hair prickle when something is amiss, it's that little pushing or nudging sensation that tells you not to do something and you do it anyway to face dire circumstances. If they would enact more severe punishments on those who make prank calls that kind of crap would stop and we wouldn't have to worry if the call was real or not.

Ours have never tried an illegal drug, never been involved in sexual activity while growing up, and are great productive adults now.
The problem here sounds like total lack of parental involvement with the children having complete freedom on the computer with NO parental supervision. THERE'S YOUR PROBLEM! @@kasulthecasual BTW- all of us are civilians. There is a lengthy course and very rigid training, and 1 out of around 20 people actually make it to become a 911 operator. You should do some research prior to utilizing your keyboard......

Man. For anyone who has siblings, it's so hard to imagine this happening. Like, you sleep in the same house every night and then one day this shit happens. Very tragic
I can totally imagine this happening, perpetrated by my older male siblings
Exactly. We used to fight like crazy but this shit is nuts
@@angiet7380 that's fair. I only had sister's growing up. Anything even close to this happening to them would is something that hurts just thinking about
I have 9 siblings. We're all 18+ now, but I have been expecting this from one of my younger brothers for years. I was relieved when I learned he moved to Florida.
@@angiet7380 My oldest brother was a ticking time bomb, I'm so glad he moved away and he's other peoples' problem now. He was so hateful and cruel
There is nothing worse than hearing a child beg for their life then hearing that they were murdered. Absolutely breaks my heart. I have a 9 year old son, this shit hits different.
My sons seven and this shit really does hit different! Hold em tight!
I had to forward it past that part.. just way to much to deal with

I can.

I've never watched a crime video where they offered applicable resources at the end. And going that extra mile to explain hitting the escape button twice was really useful! I didn't know that, and I think it might help others. Thanks for taking the time to care and really research the info.
This is absolutely horrifying. I can't believe a human being is capable of this.

The fact the he’s literally sitting there explaining how they managed to kill them with no remorse or anything just explains how much of a Psychopath they both are.
They weren't taught and didn't learn emotions. Their crazy ass parents made sure of that.
Sociopathic at least
And deficient in social interactions.
He’s 15... it’s been less than 24 hours since the attack I guarantee what he’s done hasn’t actually set in yet....
@@qt_stacy wdym, this happened years ago
Terrible 911 operator. If someone is calling desperately for help, you don’t stop and ask stupid questions. His voice was much more clear than hers. They may have found him because she kept getting what he was saying wrong and he had to speak louder. I hope that’s her last day on the job.
Thanks Deb, had ta come see if I was the only one
Agree. She was unbelievable.
So glad you said that Deb. I have watched many 911 calls where the 911 Operator should have never been given such a job. If someone calls in whispering, that is a pretty big sign to lookover. Probably best to just say the address and hang up.
911 operators are so trash. The more calls you hear the more you will hate them.
@@Guenwhyever one time I called 911 because someone was driving on the wrong side of the road on a Main Street in my town. The car came out of a dealership and had no plates and he asked me like 3 times what the license plate number was. He also asked me more than once what street it was on. It’s like he wasn’t even paying attention. No sense of urgency.
Blackly fascinating, and I always feel a small tribute to victims in our acknowledgement and sadness at what happened to them. You're the best, my man
“My brother’s attacking my family”, “your dad”, “who is attacking your family?” Omg lady!!!!!!!!
Yeah its easy when you have subtitles. Without subtitles, it could have been heard as father.
@@JeromeSankara I was listening to this while my phone was on the table and I heard brother easily. I could see her thinking he said “father” but theirs not way you can get “dad” from “brother” even if he was mumbling or whispering from fear. She was trying yes, but it’s so sad that this family got taken so early. We can’t blame the lady because she was only trying to do her job and get all the info but I heard brother. Then again, we all say we’d do something in a situation but when it happens it’s completely different story
@@perfectjays were you on the call?
@@maryherrera7893 yes I was actually as you can tell by my comment
You’re supposed to keep them on the line and stall for as long as possible. Usually until the police show up
I love how one of the brothers INSTANTLY turned on his partner in crime and tried to frame him. Guess you can't expect loyalty from a psychopath.
It shocks me how matter-of-factly Michael Bever explains their plans. Emotionless. Such a monster.
I get the feeling that Michael went along with Robert because he was trying to save himself.
“Chilinated skitches” … “gangsta rapping and about that!” This guy is crazy AF
My heart goes out to the little victims but something about the parents doesn't sit right with me. From the marriage at 15 to the homeschooling, social segregation of the family, alleged abusive father...there was definitely something going on in that family. Of course that doesn't excuse at all the horrific actions of the brothers but there must be a reason as to why both of them turned out so fucked up. As other comments said, Robert seems to be just batshit crazy while Michael looks completely emotionless and detached from reality.
I don't know, maybe I'm wrong but it feels different from other similar cases I've seen
It reminds me a bit of the Turpin case, in which all the children were badly abused and never let outside the home. Maybe these kids went through something similar. It is not a good idea to stop young kids socializing with other kids at that age, because it could definitely affect them. It doesn't excuse anything, but might explain why the brothers grew up in a twisted way. It said in some video that Robert was molested while at daycare... Even that alone could have left him permanently scarred. Maybe the parents wanted to protect them too much and then the already traumatized brother started to grow resentment towards the parents. I don't know. There's so much to think about in this case. It is clear Robert and Michael were going through something very bad mentally.
@@legolatar7677 If the two brothers were abused by the parents (when asked about them, Michael said their mother was alright), why did they also kill their siblings? And so viciously, too, stabbing them over 20 times each!
Absolutely. The handwriting in the written confession shows profound neglect. Neglect can be more devastating than active forms of abuse they also endured. Nothing excuses these horrors, but it makes it slightly easier to at least comprehend that this wasn’t 100% random and certainly could have been prevented.
I had the same thoughts
I agree. You can’t keep children locked up and expect them to be normal, abuse or no abuse.
