Same here. I'd do anything for my kids and will always love them no matter what. But I'm also a responsible citizen and if one of my children is assaulting me, I'd be afraid theyd do it to someone else too. I've taught them that actions have consequences but I've also taught them that sometimes life is disappointing and that violence isn't acceptable so hopefully I'll never have to deal with this.

All I could think about the whole time was how the psyche unit gave him mood stabilizers and anti depressants, then sent him on his way with a bus ticket.
I for one have been on anti depressants and it doesn't matter which physician I discuss the medication with, they all say the exact same thing, " it can take weeks before I see any results from the medication" So then I'm stuck wondering why they would send him on his way like, he's good.

    • @maxxmarino6500
      @maxxmarino6500 5 месяцев назад +2

The mood stabilizers take no time at all to kick in, I was on trileptal and depakote, they're both originally meant for seizures (anti-convulsants) and work by limits sodium channels or some shit like that in the brain, whereas SSRIs and other types of antidepressants are reuptake inhibitors meaning it takes a while for the brain to create and release more of these neurons. Anti-convulsants just work by almost an opposite effect of limiting something that is already in abundance so therefore they will work immediately and the effect is usually a decrease in energy leading to less excitement and anger. Really just an overall emotional numbness in general. You're not happy but your not angry, at the most you might feel slightly depressed but not agitated. I've actually felt much more anxious and angry on antidepressants but then again I never felt they were necessary for me in the first place. Most of my issues were circumstantial and I grew out of it as I entered adulthood and gained independence

I cannot believe the hospital released him early, but they do screw up, from time to time. I once thought a client needed to be 302'd and the hospital staff said he was "just an addict" and didn't need inpatient mental health treatment. At our next staff meeting I found out he killed himself. It's been over 10 years, and I still think about what I could have done differently, to convince the doctor to commit him.

He cried and ran inside to tell his pops we hit him on purpose. (mind you we were all kids) His dad came out, took his sons side and from there the fun was over and we all had to go home. Not much of a story to most but its so vivid to me because looking back remembering his father have his sons side in even the smallest of things would end up being murdered by the last person he would've ever thought.

I see your point, and would make sense with any other dogs ...
However, police dogs, or any other dogs belonging to a recognised agency, are regarded as an officer of that agency, inclusive of military branches. In fact, in most cases, said dog is one rank above their handler; that means any unreasonable force by the handler on their dog would, and is, considered assault on a senior officer. In law enforcement, a suspect attacking a dog of a law enforcement agency would be arrested on suspicion of assaulting a LEO; human or canine, there is no distinction made.
Further, from other comments made, attacking, and killing, a canine office, is, in most States of the US murder of LEO in First Degree ...
An acquaintance of mine is a Correctional Officer, but has never said where. We talked about this kind of thing, and whilst most prisoners have a take it, or leave it, approach to human police officers, suffice to say killing a canine officer is many steps too far, especially when only the most heinous of murderers think about killing animals out of spite.
Or, it other words, even amongst hardened criminals, killing a dog, out of spite, often means risking getting John Wick-ed by other inmates; there are lines you simply don't cross, and killing a dog ... well ...

Mothman, agree. We should be rewarding based on integrity in both talents, not excusing poor behavior. I went to high school with a guy who was one of our top football players. He constantly cheated in school. I said something to my friend one day about how he only got away with that because he played football. The wrong person heard me say it and the principal called me to the office and told me if I spoke about him that way again that I would be suspended.

Me me!" 🐕‍🦺 Twice in our old place dumbass crackheads came up in our yard at night, the 1st while me & my dogfighting rescue Pitsky & his 3 kittycats was on a peaceful stroll out back, & the 2nd I had to let him loose on the fool I found him barking at that dared to actually try lighting up on HIS territory - out front. The only reason both of em still got faces is that somehow [the 1st time, which he turned at the sound of an intruder & instantly rushed over, really shocked me] when he ran at em & jumped up with that mouth wide open they stumbled back just enough to get a chestful of paws & "GTFOH!" barking instead - which they both did, while I held him back; if he'd a bit em off property that'd have been a different case. After that last 1, with porch-perched witnesses to spread the news, we had no more hood-rat trouble either at home or in the street. Those who can should really consider 1 of Dex or my beloved Chesapeake [for his blue eyes, after our delicious Bay crabs, a longtime family tradition in Washington], which there are Shepitskys too, "you're well protected!" then. I'm so glad they retired together in triumph. We would've liked the chair for this triple killing A(cre)OS , but out Californicator way it'd likely outlive the sentence. LWOP while it gnaws its "brain" out with hopeless regret - maybe to administering Due Justice its own sorry self - "suits me just fine." M.T.A.R.E.I.P. 📿

Sounds like preferential treatment even though he was a minor player. Makes you wonder just how many times this happens that an athlete gets a pass because of who they are. We all know that it happens but not to what extent. So many gifted athletes start getting preferential treatment in school so they don’t get kicked off the team. This reinforces a certain entitlement that carries on to their adult life. It’s disheartening that they are held to different standards and get away with their bad behaviors because they happen to have a natural gift that people admire.

This is why I speak out against my blood family. They were highly abusive, my father violent and caused me permanent nerve damage that’s left me mostly bedridden, my mother psychologically abusive and made me be her carer and my brothers carer because she didn’t want to parent, and massively enabled my brothers abuse towards me, whether physical or emotional. My brother sent me to the hospital a few times because he would grab my hair and smash my head into the wall, knowing I wouldn’t hit him back. I couldn’t, if I dared lift my hands to protect myself then my mother would scream at me for days about it, but would happily ignore my brother knocking me out and smashing my face into a wall.
Unsurprisingly I have cPTSD and PTSD. My mother was so concerned with her looking good and my brother looking good that she was completely fine with ignoring all the abuse, which is extra fucked because she’s had an abusive childhood and left my abusive father who was physically violent and sexually violent towards her. She was more concerned about their image than my safety, and she didn’t want any help of any kind because she just didn’t care enough about me, she constantly rejected help and demanded I care for my brother because she was “busy” (shagging random men, going out for drinks, meeting her ex, literally anything except parent).
I broke at 16 and ended up going off the rails, had an alcohol dependence where I very nearly became an alcoholic at fucking 16, and got into lots of trouble with police Scotland. They understood something was wrong but my mother spent more time trying to make herself look good than accept police Scotland’s assistance where they wanted to contact a charity on her behalf that helps with troublesome children. They got in touch with the charity for me because they realised she just didn’t actually care about my safety and only cared that she looked good.
So I speak out against them all the time, maybe bringing light on her constant behaviour will help others in some way, or help them recognise the type of narcissistic behaviour that enables abusers, but i got permanent disabilities from my shitty blood family so fuck it, imma speak out against them

You do know these "best boys" get put down when they aren't useful anymore to the K-9 unit yeah. They are too aggressive to be placed in homes because "k-9 training" is just abusing the dog until its hyper aggressive.

@@ennuibarbie I don’t think you are correct. Clinton passed a law in 2000 making it illegal to do that. Most of them end up living with their handler and some even get retirement $ in certain states.
