Brilliant. I thank God for this insightful, clear analysis of why western countries are in a state of decline. In judgement, may God show mercy for His glory.
Our fight is not with flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Ephesians 6:12
The closing two minutes is powerful. The emotion in Dr. Jones' voice and the power of God's Word hits me hard as he reads those scriptures about Nebuchadnezzar. It's what we need and God promises it will happen.
At 58:32 love how his voice cracks when mentioning God the Father, shows his true color in his Love for the True One Triune God, shows his passion for The LORD of Lords. As a man I’m not afraid to admit, it brought tears to my eyes.
Amen! For this reason also God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow , of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. -Philippians 2:9-11
I had to listen to this repeatedly and repeatedly to understand it, but the depths of the message and the truth of the present age are exposed to the extreme level here.
What are you talking about? Christians tried to attack the United States capitol on Jan 6th to eliminate democracy. You are acting like christianity has something that is worth respecting. It doesn't. It is against human rights. Christians are trying to take over the school system. Christians are trying to take over everything by any means necessary and it is clear that christians have no moral values. Christianity is pure evil. Sorry, but now much more than the time when this speech was given, this is true. I am ashamed to say I once followed the blood god christ, but I now see it more clearly for what it is. Evil.
What is Gnosticism ? Gnosticism is an umbrella word for a broad spectrum of esoteric beliefs and ritual practices that variously combined elements of Christian faith, pre - Christian pagan beliefs, Platonic and Neoplatonic ideas in the early Christian centuries. It is hare to define them with any precision just as it is difficult to delineate the phenomenon of New Age in our times. Yet some of the general features that characterized the Gnostic approach may be mentioned. a. The Gnostics claimed that they have a special spiritual knowledge or revelation of the divine mystery hidden to others who were outside the realm of gnosis (= knowledge). The Gnostics had elaborately worked out esoteric ways and means of acquiring this so-called special insight which constituted for them the crux of salvation. Christian Gnostics had their own interpretation of the scripture and they produced "new scripture" like the Gospel of Thomas or Peter or Philip. b. Many Gnostic Groups had a dualistic understanding of matter and spirit. What counted for them was the spirit, and matter and material body were looked down upon. Salvation was for the soul, and the body had to be controlled and eventually suppressed by extremely severe ascetic practices in order to liberate the soul. In some Gnostic streams the same argument in favour of the spirit permitted licentious debasing of human body. c. Some Gnostic streams were misogynic and taught that women were the source of evil. They identified body with the female, and spirit with the male. Both woman and material body, according to them, were channels of evil forces. Some of the pseudo-gospels and other Gnostic writings showed this anti-woman and anti - body trait. It is to be noticed that in the four canonical gospels Jesus never condemned women or looked down upon them simply because they were women. Instead he showed compassion, understanding and respect towards women. Here is a saying attributed to Jesus and appearing at the end of the "gospel of Thomas" (some say it is a later addition): 114. Simon peter said to them, "Make Mary leave us, for females don’t deserve life." Jesus said, "Look, I will guide her to make her male, so that she too may become a living spirit resembling you males. For every female who makes herself male will enter the kingdom of Heaven." Formation of the canon and the Gospel of Thomas What we call the formation of "Canon of the Scripture" or the books of the Bible approved by the Church took a long time. There are still unresolved questions. For example, in the Syrian tradition the books of St. Clement of Rome (end of 1st century AD) are listed as canonical scripture while the Book of Revelation is not recommended for public reading on liturgical occasions. This is not so in the Western Church. In the Old Testament also there are books like Maccabees, Judith, Tobit and some others which Roman Catholic and Orthodox churches accept as part of the Bible while the protestant Churches do not. Such books are sometimes called ‘apocrypha’ (hidden writings) or better "deutero - canonical" books or books of secondary canonical status. They are not generally printed in the Bible published by Protestant Bible societies. Though there were some open questions in the complex process of the formation of the canon of the Bible, there was never any doubt in the Church about the four Gospels and their primary significance as the Holy scripture of the Church, witnessing to the saving events in the life of the incarnate Christ. The disputed Gnostic writings of later origin and the so - called gospels like that of Thomas or Philip or Peter do not belong even to the deutero-canonical books. They are simply outside the authentic Tradition of the Church. Even a Quick reading of them will tell us why the Church rejected such later writings that betrayed ambiguous and distorted interpretations of the life and message of Jesus Christ as handed down to us by the Apostles. They may have a value as ancient writings reflecting the thought pattern of certain marginal groups or individuals in the Greco - Roman civilization in the early Christian period. But they can never claim to be part of the Holy Bible of the Church God bless.
Read 1 John and you will see how he is also dealing back then with the influence of Gnosticism. 1. How he emphasized the real physical body of Jesus. 2. The need to avoid continuing in sin without repentance. (Most likely A response to gnostic belief that the body doesn’t matter. It’s only the soul/spirit that matters which is enately sinless. ( Thus, John writing saying “ he who says he is without sin is a liar.)
Hi, you seem to know a lot… I was wondering why the Catholic Church decided to wipe out the gnostics? In the 12-1300s They were and still are a pagan religion Whereas the gnostics were very pious peoples and in case of the cathars treated women with regard
Peter Jones always gives an amazing wealth of information. It is especially amazing as I see how it aligns with recent history and current world events. God bless him for using his intellect for the Kingdom of God!
I thank God for Peter Jones who does not fear but have the courage to spread the good news and calling the pagans wrong. Amen stop the negative and promote the truth 🙏
Don't be quick to paint with a broad brush! There are people in the Charismatic and Pentecostal movement who are more holy with deep theological bent than most people in the Reformed movement.
Their deep theological bent is bending scripture to justify what they want to do. Whether its female preachers and teachers, false prophecy in the church, fake tongues - faked gifts of all kinds, musicians with supposed God inspired lyrics.
Osei Adomako You are correct there are some Pentecostals that are better of than many Reform church goers but That’s despite the Pentecostal false doctrines, not because of it. Don’t forget that the Pentecostal doctrine is semi-pelagian in their view of salvation and sanctification, that is anything but Holy.
The Lucius Trust also has its fingers in some unlikely places. I subscribed to a vegan-oriented podcast a few years back and soon found out that the host worked for the Lucius Trust.
Yes, The Lucis Trust was formerly Lucifer Publishing, Alice Bailey channelled disembodied entities and wrote about 24 books that the UN use as a doctrine. New age religion. Constance Cumbey wrote 2 good books - The Hidden Dangers of the Rainbow. Also look up Alice Bailey ten point plan.
When he describes the church having "faced the heresy of Gnosticism and defeated it"... he means the plethora of men, women, and children who were slaughtered in the Albigensian Crusade... from which we get the modern phrase "kill them all, let God sort them out" from the historical utterance of a Catholic Crusader murdering gnostic Christians (cathars), when another Catholic remarked that their arrow volleys would hit Catholics as well as Cathars... "kill them all, God will know his own".
And as far as what portions of catholicism these protestant radicals here still espouse, they still push the lie that there were mass numbers of martyred christian in ancient Rome, as if the ascension of christianity were not, in fact, the end of religious freedom in the west until paganism could be recovered in the renaissance (and for a long time afterwards). Just as vain and hateful now as they were then.
@@chromebull884 which time then? Last time I checked the “church” that killed them is actually pagan and has been for a couple thousand years The term also was not coined prior to that
As an issue of survival modern syncretism must discount the biblical theology of redemption. The "Word" becoming flesh and dwelling among us (John 1:14) means death to any Gnostic worldview.
What did that mean? Understand the Bible and the Gnostic texts as well, quite well, but what does Miles Rains mean when it says this? Yet for me, redemption is not spiritual redemption for ones spirit does not need redemption. As for the body, it cannot obtain redemption, for it is temporary and will return to dust for which it came. No idea about worldview, but true Gnostic wisdom or Gnosis from within is about as close to truth as one will ever get in the flesh, and should at some point provide ascension of ones spiritual spark.
The Word became flesh not to remain flesh or keep us tethered to the flesh. The word became flesh because we are currently in flesh and in order to teach how to get rid of the flesh
Beware of Michael Heiser books. Heiser’s Hermeneutic The root cause of the issue with Heiser’s theology is his interpretation method, which errs on multiple levels. First, he interprets Scripture in light of pagan literature to interject polytheism into the Bible. As Peter Jones suggested of Gnosticism, “Whenever ‘Christian’ theology looks to pagan polytheism for inspiration-as it is doing now and as it did then-it discovers a titillating variety of reading techniques, without which the Scriptures of the one, true God would be strictly unusable.”2) Indeed, this hermeneutic method reigns supreme in Heiser’s writings. One critic of Heiser has similarly commented, “Heiser has a bad hermeneutical methodology because he has a bad hermeneutic philosophy. This bad philosophy has led him to bad conclusions. There have always been Christians who have tried to come up with some unique and revolutionary interpretations. Heiser is not the first to come up with this notion of a council of gods. You can see this in Gnosticism, and Marcionism, and in other adaptations of basic Christian doctrines. I’m sure he won’t be the last.”3) Heiser responded to Howe’s criticism, stating, “I assume that the Scripture writers were communicating to people intentionally - people that lived in their day and who shared their same worldview. This assumption is in place because I’m sensitive to imposing a foreign worldview on the writers.”4) In other words, he admits his hermeneutics is focused on imposing the pagan worldview on the Biblical authors, even though the Bible itself commanded the Israelites to not enquire into the theology of their pagan neighbors (Deuteronomy 12:29-32), and to destroy any Israelite guilty of doing so (Deuteronomy 13:6-18). One simple example of this is Heiser’s discussion of pagan deities were known to inhabit gardens and mountains which he formulates an entire theology revolving around this concept imported on the Bible.5) However, the Bible condemns this pagan practice as idolatry on “high places” (Leviticus 26:30; Numbers 22:41; 33:52; Deuteronomy 12:2; 33:29; 1 Kings 3:2; 12:31-32; 13:32-33; 15:14; 22:43; 2 Kings 12:3; 14:4; 15:4, 33; 16:4; 17:11, 32; 21:3; 23:5; Psalm 78:58; Jeremiah 7:31; 19:5; 32:25; 48:35) and “groves” (Exodus 34:13; Deuteronomy 7:5; 12:3; Judges 3:7; 1 Kings 14:15; 18:19; 2 Kings 18:4; 23:14; Isaiah 17:8; 27:9) with idols under “every green tree” (Deuteronomy 12:2; 1 Kings 14:23; 2 Kings 16:4; 17:10; Isaiah 57:5; Jeremiah 2:20; 3:6, 13: Ezekiel 6:13). God rebukes this idolatry that Heiser thinks is valid biblical theology, “your iniquities, and the iniquities of your fathers together, saith the Lord, which have burned incense upon the mountains, and blasphemed me upon the hills” (Isaiah 65:7). Where is the logic of building a “biblical theology” by imposing pagan practices which are specifically condemned in the Bible? One of his foolish arguments for allegorizing his mountain opinion is presented in his citing of Psalm 48:1-2, stating, “As anyone who has been to Jerusalem knows, Mount Zion isn’t much of a mountain. It certainly isn’t located in the geographical north-its actually in the southern part of the country.”6) Mount Zion is on the north of the city Zion, also called Jerusalem (2 Chronicles 5:2; Psalm 135:21; 147:12; Isaiah 10:32; 30:19). He contends, “This description would be a familiar one to Israel’s pagan neighbors, particularly at Ugarit. Its actually out of their literature.”7) Another problem with Heiser’s hermeneutic is he focuses on ambiguous text, plays fast and loose with the Hebrew language whenever he can, and when he cannot twist an interpretation of the existing grammar to fit his presupposition, he becomes the textual critic and changes the text itself or uses a different text to justify his position. Other Christian apologists have complained about Heiser’s handling of the text
It was a very good presentation. I wish he would have also encouraged us to pray for all those who are caught up in heretical thinking and practices. Did not the Apostle Paul tell us that we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of darkness? We’re not any better than those who have been entrapped by the Enemy to think heretically. What if you and I were also entrapped like them, wouldn’t you want to know if what you believe is true, wouldn’t you want someone to be praying for you to escape the lie? I know I would, and I thank God that someone did pray for me to escape the darkness I was in. It is a spiritual battle, let us not forget this. Let us not think more highly of ourselves than we ought.
@@LadyRushie # AMEN The HOLY & preserved WORD Of GOD Instructs us to PRAY for others. We DON'T NEED to WAIT for a human being to INVITE Us Or TELL Us to PRAY.
Speaking of gnosticism, a good correlation is Voddie Baucham's message on Gnostic racism. "You can't know about being X if you're not X, therefore you can't have anything to say." Kind of like the idea you can't talk about women's issues unless you're a woman (but what is a woman anyway?). Knowing these things is a secret known only to the initiates of the condition. Great insight into the BLM/race-baiting of things.
Elaine Pagels wrote a fascinating dissertation on the gnostic Paul, presenting both sides of the issue, without coming to any definitive conclusion. She is a popular speaker at numerous churches.
And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock[a] I will build my church, and the gates of hell[b] shall not prevail against it. Perhaps the rebirth of the gnostics is the rebirth of the church.
Which christian doctrine do you suppose Jesus would ascribe to if he came back today? My guess is it would be none. I believe he would chastise all of them like the he did the money changers and start a better one than any concurrently existing. I'm pretty sure he was big on love of god to redeem men of sin however it seems to me most so-called christians today are more into hating other christians and nonchristians alike. The more things change the more they stay the same you know. However that just what a sane person might say.
Gnosticism is just a word used to describe the collection of denominations that are unknown that belong to the texts found in places like the Nag Hammadi library. Nothing more, nothing less. Any attempt to say otherwise is an attempt at misinforming and brainwashing by conflating the information. It would have been really wonderful if Peter Jones did take the time to make the distinction clear before speaking publicly and openly about it. Instead of hastily misrepresenting the group of texts as though it were one sect of thought.
Unknown "denominations" that belong to texts? First no religious group belongs to a text. They write texts. And the texts belongs to them. Second denominations don't exist. The word is schismatics, sect, cult, or para- synagogue. Third these unknown "denominations" seem to have been well cataloged by Irenaeus and others.
@bigtechtyranny Real Christians believe in theosis: deification through the incarnation of God's divine Logos. As the Father's say God became man to make man God. They believe this God is the creator. They don't believe that the world was created by an evil emanation of Sophia (Sophia just is the Logos). They don't believe that evil has actual substance or existence either. They aren't dualists.
20:40 It's not that radical if women were the rulers of matriarchal societies in 9000 BC. It would be radical if it was something new under the sun. But it isn't.
Except that he had to refer to two persons being joined together to begin with,,,it, like all religious texts is an allegorical message of double meaning. You literalists are so simple minded
God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit is what is what the Bible calls a "tri-unity", or the Triune God, or the biblical doctrine of the Trinity: "There are three persons in the Godhead; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost; and these three are one God the same in substance, equal in power and glory." But that's not what Jones is talking about anyway. The binary he is describing has to do with two categories of existence: God and God's creation. They are not one and the same. God is not His creation and His creation is not God.

Yes the Bishop of Los Angeles Stephen Hoeller and the church in their locations are great. And Stephen is about the best and most honored person I have ever watched or listened to on the internet. He is a great man, with insights that I share. Sure hope your views are in favor of gnostic truth after your readings, but no idea, but do hope you come to know the deepest truth. And if needed, reconsider your religious doctrine. Be well Peter Jones. All is great
@@adrianpasillas3832 Just seen your reply... Yes you are correct. Everyone acquires inner wisdom (gnosis) when they are ready, in their own time. Just wish everyone to wake up, study all they can, gain insight, and not push truth from Christ to the sidelines because others say to do so. Be blessed
The "Lord´s Recovery" or "Local Church" teaches it's dangerous to read the Word of God directly. They say you will misunderstand it, so you need a qualified teacher´s interpretation. They promote only one teacher, exclusively, i.e: Witness Lee. They say he was God´s appointed minister of the age, like a "Noah" for today, and that he interpreted the whole Bible accurately and apart from him and his ministry you cannot really understand the Bible.
42:38 I agree with much of what Peter says but he & the rest of the Church really gotta wrestle with the inerrancy claims as so dogmatic, it makes Christianity seriously look like just another magic book...may want to read some of Jesus on what is Word big W is...John 1 & John 5:39...Jesus is the Word, the Bible by its own interpretation without presuppositions is a testimony too that...
Grouping all Gnosticism into Hermetic Gnosticism, which is what he has done here, is like talking about all flavors of Christianity (Baptists, Penticostal, Methodists and even the Mormans) and packaging it all into a lecture about "Those Orthodox Catholics." This is intellectually and spiritually dishonest. For example, The Cathars who lived peacefully and actually tried lived what Jesus taught where better Christians than most Judeo-Christians today....Judeo-Christianity is a house divided. Marcion was right. Are you Christian or Judeo-Christian? BIG DIFFERENCE.
"Split a piece of wood and you will find me..." Oh, bother... Who remembers the movie "Stigmata" that came out in the late 90's I think? The message in that horrendous piece of work was the assertion that this gospel of Thomas (which I don't believe was ever actually named) is a new revelation from God superseding all the rest. The writer of the movie was so intent on making that point that the main character who was to bring this announcement to the masses was given the signs of the stigmata in an attempt to verify her claim. What is SO difficult and frustrating in the ministry today is that we are up against Hollywood that proclaims fiction as if it were fact on the big screen, and in such dramatic ways that it convinces those who just don't know any better, and then we come in on Sunday morning in our suits and try to undo all that the enemy has done to the kids who have just barely managed to show up. So many kids don't WANT to know the truth; that's the attitude that I'm seeing today, and I honestly don't know what to do with that.
Will comment but you will not like it Lawrence. Yes fact, "Split a piece of wood and you will find me", yes "lift up a stone, I am there!", these are facts regarding Christ, but it is even more true, "For I am within you!, and "when you come to know who you truly are, then you will be as I am..". These are facts, for me at least. the Gospel of Thomas along with all Gnostic texts I have read hold great truth and have no lies within them. No comment on the movie, nor stigmata. Last there is no ministry, only for one within, directly from Christ and the Father.
It clearly says, let no man come between the Father (God) and us. Yes spiritual beings from his realm have imparted great wisdom to humans in our history, from Christ to Spirits imparting visions to those who wrote them down and are quoted countless times all over the earth. The real truth lies within, not in a building, nor from another, that is belief or faith at best, not truth or gnosis. But I can understand ones frustration regarding this issue. Wish you all the best, be Blessed.
Keep your kids on your path and stay out of my business when it comes to mine. I'm not a bad guy. I have a clean record. I do not like to hate or do anything hateful to anyone period, but if you keep trying to push your dogmatic philosophies on my child. I'll show you an enemy that will haunt you until you die, and your devil will look like mickey mouse compared to me.
You say that *Jesus did not speak in such terms* - please read the Gospels and Paul's letter to the Romans. As Dr. Martyn Lloyd Jones said, *the narrowness of the Gospel is the narrowness of God.* The narrow way to salvation in Jesus' words, the very opposite of the broad way of Gnosticism, neo-paganism, magic, and the One World Religion promoted by Pope Francis and so-called progressive (i.e. liberal) Protestants.
@@jackhaggerty1066 This is precisely correct. Jesus spoke nothing but truth because He IS Truth. "I am the way, the Truth, and the life; no man comes to the Father but by Me."

this is what is wrong with PHD,s in any spiritual matters they don't get it and trying to teach on something they don't understand if they did. would they know that gnostic texts say not just the same as the bible on christ but expound on this certainly not pagan teaching or belief. also this person is saying that if you believe any Gnostic texts that its like agreeing with homosexuals beliefs. this guy is very scary and cant even say that god is father without his voice cracking
The gnostic texts contradict the Bible, and some contradict others. Some claim Jesus was never crucified, while others claim he was but only returned as a ghost, and not in the flesh. Others claim he was married. The gospel of Judas claims the Jesus gave Judas the true gospel. And yes, others claim the Christian God is actually an ignorant devil that thinks he is God. Read the works themselves before trusting what you hear. This guy knows what he is talking about. Read the texts he is referring to before making comments that mislead others that might think you know something.
As much as you would like for Gnostic writings to replace the Scriptures, YOUR Ph.Ds clearly consider themselves and their teaching as superior to God. The Father was very clear in Revelation that we are not to add to, nor take away from, anything in the Holy Scriptures. Gnostic gospels seek to do just that, and in so doing, replace God Himself. I pray your blind eyes be opened to the Truth and that the Holy Spirit convict you of this sin you have turned to. Run to Him. Declare Christ as your savior by His work on the cross, and YES, His resurrection.
Doesn't God breathe His spirit into Adam? How on earth is that not just Him giving Adam a piece of His essence? You guys are not very charitable to actual gnosticism. You seem more fixated on theosophists and homosexuals.
Sorry to tell you but Gnosticism was never stamped out or eliminated. Yes the Romans, and Catholics wiped out perhaps over a million of true Christians throughout the centuries since the Council of Nicaea and Constantine. Not sure where this video is going, but Gnostic Truth and The Nag Hammadi are both quite real, and can assist one in gaining true gnosis, and reach a level of ascension much as Christ himself. Wish this Peter all the best.
What happened to the Cathars alone hurts me so much. It is such a shame what has happened in our history, and shows what religion can do with its power and influence upon governments from Rome on at least. So sad. Oh yea, guess I did grow up in the 60's. lol
@Troll Ov Metal Yes they do, perhaps even more, they or most worship the very creator of the archons who goes by many names. Is a shame, and most have no idea regarding the truth. Is sad to say the least. One should be careful of what they trust to be fact or truth.

It’s funny because the whole gnostic text describes the material god Yaldabaoth being a divine being born into ignorance. And here we see a Christian scholar being ignorant to a greater truth. The ignorance stems from this mans lack of understanding about the gnostic text, not because it’s entirely his fault, but because the truth about the texts has yet to be fully understood. The Elohim are a group of gods, and pagan and gnostic ideology is premised on the idea that there is more than one god and many characters in the story

Orthodox religion fears introspection more than the endless evils it creates. The persecution of gnostic thought shamelessly continues unabated since early times, orthodoxy content with imposed tyrannical doctrine strangely mirroring human deficiencies. This guy is lost.

Confused humans long ago determined their personal integrity may be redeemed by compromising their personal integrity through creating gods accepted by those with compromised integrity, thus rejecting personal responsibility, personal gods, social chaos. Philosophical corrals are much safer than free thought.

Here is a saying attributed to Jesus and appearing at the end of the "gospel of Thomas" (some say it is a later addition):
114. Simon peter said to them, "Make Mary leave us, for females don’t deserve life." Jesus said, "Look, I will guide her to make her male, so that she too may become a living spirit resembling you males. For every female who makes herself male will enter the kingdom of Heaven."
Formation of the canon and the Gospel of Thomas
What we call the formation of "Canon of the Scripture" or the books of the Bible approved by the Church took a long time.
But they can never claim to be part of the Holy Bible of the Church
God bless.

Nikola Jokic pentecostal-charismatic movement is God's counterpart to gnosticism.
Yes, emotionally based rather than scripture based. Fake gifts, female preachers, false gospel.
2 thess 2: 5-12...those who do not love the truth will be given over.....by God... to a deluding influence so they might believe what is false.

I cant believe this is from 7 years ago
actually it is from 2010 !
Beware of Michael Heiser books.
Heiser’s Hermeneutic
The root cause of the issue with Heiser’s theology is his interpretation method, which errs on multiple levels. God rebukes this idolatry that Heiser thinks is valid biblical theology, “your iniquities, and the iniquities of your fathers together, saith the Lord, which have burned incense upon the mountains,
and blasphemed me upon the hills” (Isaiah 65:7). Its actually out of their literature.”7)
Another problem with Heiser’s hermeneutic is he focuses on ambiguous text, plays fast and loose with the Hebrew language whenever he can, and when he cannot twist an interpretation of the existing grammar to fit his presupposition, he becomes the textual critic and changes the text itself or uses a different text to justify his position. Other Christian apologists have complained about Heiser’s handling of the text
Please speak on Heiser's psalm 82 . Thank you at your convenience, thank you for your insight.
Wow I didn't know this thank you
Gnosticism is the elaboration and reiteration of the Lie told to Eve in Eden: "You shall be as God"

There is no gnostic gospel. There were several forms of Christianity before the Canon was settled
21:24 did not Yahweh war against other gods? Did not this concept come back into Christianity with Constantine?
Gnosticism is just a word used to describe the collection of denominations that are unknown that belong to the texts found in places like the Nag Hammadi library. Nothing more, nothing less. Any attempt to say otherwise is an attempt at misinforming and brainwashing by conflating the information. It would have been really wonderful if Peter Jones did take the time to make the distinction clear before speaking publicly and openly about it. Instead of hastily misrepresenting the group of texts as though it were one sect of thought.
I guess that why there just happened to be a guy named: GNOSTRADAMUS?

The true Christ said: " I and the Father are One." No Duality there.

I never watched it . Supposed to be real bad though right ..highly blasphemous and all like
Will comment but you will not like it Lawrence.
This man is confused. Gnosticism is very dualistic.
Nope.
Excellent!!!
well this was a trip, he exists in opposition so much that he will never get anything done. jesus did not speak in such terms the truth is the truth
"I am the way, the Truth, and the life; no man comes to the Father but by Me."
what about the Rosicrucian's Assembly..
There's HOLY Gnosticism
And Satanic Gnosticism.
We christians who believe in GOD and we are saved by JESUS to live in heaven are HOLY Gnostics.
Who have SPECIAL knowledge that Jesus will lead us to heaven.
BUT those who deny Jesus Christ were Setan Gnosticsm.
25:38 returning to the equality of humanity before the male dessert cult of Yah won out lol
You are praying to the wrong God
Those who believe in everything are actually believing in nothing. ( in this case it is believing in things that are not real or true).

this is what is wrong with PHD,s in any spiritual matters they don't get it and trying to teach on something they don't understand if they did. would they know that gnostic texts say not just the same as the bible on christ but expound on this certainly not pagan teaching or belief. also this person is saying that if you believe any Gnostic texts that its like agreeing with homosexuals beliefs. this guy is very scary and cant even say that god is father without his voice cracking
Look up the alice bailey ten point plan. Alice Bailey formerly Lucifer publishing now Lucis Trust channeled entities and wrote 24 books crediting Lucifer. The UN has adopted her satanic doctrine/plan. It is anti-christ & links to the book of Revelation. God bless you.
Just look at the world, and one will know who created this realm, this is so clear.
If it (Gnosticism) is the truth, doesn't it make Satan the good guy ? I've read the serpent story from the perspective of Gnosticism, who do you think is Satan ?
@@shaqron3720 No! Surely not the serpent in the garden. Yes, I know who Satan is, he is the creator god who offered all this worldly realm to Christ on the hill, if he would kneel down and worship him. But for Christ, this was a joke, he wishes nothing to do with this worldly realm, and Satan's offer was foolish, as his name implies (Saklas) or the Demiurge also goes by Yaldabaoth. For he is the chief archon or Demiurge (craftsman), a false god. He also has other names.
@@shaqron3720 Moreover, in this myth (truthful), this realm is clearly of Satan's, also the old testament is mainly speaking of this very one as well. And the story in the bible of the Garden of Eden, that also is very misleading. If you read Genesis you will see it lies to you, or for a real version that was sealed up for 1500 years... Read Genesis 4 biblehub.com/niv/genesis/4.htm and The "Apocryphon of John" at www.gnosis.org/naghamm/apocjn-davies.html it says, "Yaldabaoth raped Eve..". Only if you want truth!
If you use Google Chrome or the like, it should have "three vertical dots (top right), that can be used to bring up an menu which has "find...", click it once at the above link for gnosis, and enter "Yaldabaoth raped Eve". You will see about 80% of the way down in "The Apocryphon of John" it will tell you what I post below. Hope at least one person finds truth. Be blessed.
@@shaqron3720 Here is what it says... Click "read more" below! (there is much more, but in contrast to Genesis Chapter 4, you will see.)
Yaldabaoth raped Eve.
She bore two sons.
[Elohim was the name of the first.
Yahweh was the name of the second.
Elohim has a bear’s face.
Yahweh has a cat’s face.
One is righteous;
One is not.
Yahweh is righteous;
Elohim is not.
Yahweh would command fire and wind
Elohim would command water and earth.]
Yaldabaoth deceptively named the two: Cain and Abel.
You can choose which you feel is true, but I know better, am from the Father, and the Word has shown me the truth!
All the best to you, be Blessed
@@shaqron3720 This (Cain & Abel) is good cop / bad cop, both are to deceive humanity, just like everything here of this realm. The deepest truths, the hidden secrets from the son Christ, the bible tells us, will be sealed up, sealed to the times of the end. Then man will rove the planet, and the true knowledge will become abundant. Will be available to all who seek it. These are the hidden sayings of the son of God, the true Father, that were written down for us, the last generation of humanity!
Interesting... I think he gets some things right, but I'm also a bit skeptical of his attempt to put Everything (bad) under the gnostic label... In my study of it, it seems a bit more niche than that... And a few of his points are contradictory... He links Masonic ideas/practice to this 'new' thing coming out in the 60's? Sorry mate, but Masonic practice/lodges/popularity has been around for a long time and wasn't hiding under the surface until late 20th century... I always heard that its heydey was in the colonial / early America times! Far more out in the open than now - Now it's kind of dead / bygone thing.
So this kind of historical revisionism gives me pause on some of this other claims and assertions... this is cultural-war comfort food for right-leaning, white american protestant evangelicals who drink up this kind of thing, so they don't ever have to self-examine themselves for any heresies or wacky theology, ideology or warped Biblical interpretations - which they/we too have by the spades! - including aspects of a kind of soft, Gnosticism!)
The fact that you are so desperate to refute it give it credibility!
Hi. I would like to know more from one on the side of it.
Peter Jones predicts SJW religion in 2010, amazing!
You are a classic example of a human being who is divided. And that is what Jesus proclaims in the Gospel of Thomas is the flaw in this world.
Luke 12:49-56
New King James Version
Christ Brings Division
49 “I came to send fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled! 50 But I have a baptism to be baptized with, and how distressed I am till it is accomplished! 51 Do you suppose that I came to give peace on earth? I tell you, not at all, but rather division. 52 For from now on five in one house will be divided: three against two, and two against three. 53 Father will be divided against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.”
Orthodox religion fears introspection more than the endless evils it creates. The persecution of gnostic thought shamelessly continues unabated since early times, orthodoxy content with imposed tyrannical doctrine strangely mirroring human deficiencies. This guy is lost.
@@HearGodsWord Did I make such a claim? Why do Orthodox religions continue to attack those who attempt truth through knowledge, gnosticism?
@@HearGodsWord Okay, an answer. Yes, I'm lost. An admission the speaker most likely would avoid. Those who claim to "know" most likely don't know. Knowing is more a journey than an end. It's unfortunate many Orthodox believers conflate belief with certainty.
The Great Falling Away is something much larger and more complex than I've ever really considered. This man has provoked my belief in the Word to a clearer level.
Confused humans long ago determined their personal integrity may be redeemed by compromising their personal integrity through creating gods accepted by those with compromised integrity, thus rejecting personal responsibility, personal gods, social chaos. Philosophical corrals are much safer than free thought.
A fair criticism
Yahweh is clearly seen in the Old Testament as killing and canceling all other gods. If Sophia is now mounting a challenge to Yahweh, oh well, who are we insignificant immortals.
Let the games begin and may the most vicious and most powerful win.
Like minions, humans might follow the true hero or heroine who emerges.
