You don't have the option to drive a car if your buying it out of someone's yard parked. Its more of a hope and see at that point. To date I've yet to find a sub $800 USD car that didn't have major rust or rot issues or was someone's failed project and all the wirings gone to hell.
And if neither of those two are the case, then it's a Saab sonnet 3 with engine parts missing and a seized transmission.

I’m 23 and I opened my dealership 2 years ago with my buddy after flipping cars for a year before hand. Don’t think you’re just going to be making tons of money easy, because you do need to know what you’re doing, it takes skill and when you get into inventory like 20-30 monthly it also takes really good knowledge of the market.

Hey Austin, when you started flipping cars how much knowledge of car mechanics did you have? I am 20 years old and want to begin investing in cars. @@Glock20AK I buy cars to make money but I don’t sell junk. I make sure to address all the issues and sell it for the going rate. To do this you need to have knowledge of the cars your purchasing. Also to get a good deal you have to be honest with the person your buying from and let them know all of the issues they have. It helps to have cash on hand and to not low ball them to much but try to buy the car at trade in value.
I just started this year around February as a hobby and I’m planning by the start of next year to make it my business to do this. I’ve been a car person since I was 13-14 years old. I’m 28 now but I’m by no means a profesional mechanic. I do you basic things and have tackled difficult jobs but somethings you have to leave it to the shop. I can’t afford to have the car apart on my driveway for 3 days. So far the least I’ve made is $800 on a car. All the cars I sell are cars I would own myself.

This video is the real deal. I have been doing this the last 5 years. Starting out this is just how you want to go about it. I am in Arizona and the cars have no rust, but plenty of sun burn and rotted rubber. It's all door handles, window regulators, batteries and tires. Those Altimas, Camry's, Accords and Subarus 93-2002 will be your bread and butter. I do real well at the auctions buying the Donated cars, most right at or near 150k miles. This is where people think these cars are done. You pick them up with Clean Titles that way. In Az, we do a ton of salvage stuff too as it is quick and easy, $50 to get them inspected. Those mirrors you can pick up at any Pull n Save or Pic a part for $7, fenders, bumpers, headlights, hoods too...all cheap. These cars are easy to do body work on. Good luck, and watch more of this guys videos, honest and true. Just be careful, you can only flip so many without a license or you will get popped.

Good job Greg . Im new to your channel by a few weeks and I must say you keep me coming back . Im a car guy myself but don't flip them, I fix them . I live in San Diego so we are about as far apart as we can be and still live in the same country. What happened to your brother , did he fix that transmission or get another vehicle ? I know you probably did a followup but I can't find it ?

Where do you usually find cars for a cheap flip? Mostly auctions or do you use craigslist and stuff as well?

@13:37 were those Mouse droppings on the floor? I owned an 2004 Altima that i bought for 2500 low miles but needed lots of work , Tires all brakes and rotors etc.. I drove it 65,000 miles for work and sold it for $3,000. The floor pan on the passenger was gone and I had to put new sheet metal in.
