Tip. If there is oil on the manifold or another bare metal surface and it isn't directly over something delicate, you can get the oil of super easy with brake clean. Just be careful around parts that the brake clean might eat away or dissolve. I use this on the cooling find of my mower and on my car engine manifolds when oil drops while I'm working on it. I enjoy watching your channel. That Ford EXP is pretty nice.Rarely ever see one anymore.
Hi. Just suggesting. If you can go to the junk yard and get all cosmetic for under $100. You would it make an extra $250. That's what I did. Cheers. Great work
I love the cars you don't even have to change the oil on - just keep adding more to replace what it leaks or burns. Such simple maintenance! :P
What I would do in addition: clean the headlights, change struts and brakes, new hub caps and sell it for $2000
The shot of the hdmi port civic you guys used is legitimately my car. The trunk is dipped, the “I eat ass” sticker, the whole 9 yards. I just had to point that out! Btw, I’m also the LS swap removal tech at J&J Auto Wrecking! What a small world!
this guy does more to a used car than a dealer.
Good on you mate, I've been to dealerships with crap that's way over priced.glad there is some good people in this world.
Interesting. My Dodge 4.7 has the same seal setup on its valve cover bolts.
I just take it easy around gaskets and rubber.
Learned a long time ago, never buy a car that's had an engine "detail" usually means they are hiding something.
And this video showed me some of the things to look for to avoid buying a flipped car.
Got a thank you letter from JR's sis in response to small donation i made to her campaign for cancer patients. Didn't expect that! The struggle is real and it is awesome that there are some who think about more than just themselves. Respect.
Litteraly everything I touched on my 91 accord shouldnt have worked when i got it with 300,000 miles. 400 in parts and its still goin at 360,000
Nicely done, especially for the cost. I was never really a fan of Honda Civics until I actually owned one and since then I've owned 2. Sold one for close to what I paid for it and put a lot of work into the other and it runs like new again despite having well over 200k miles on it. I can't believe how inexpensive parts are for these cars.
This channel has the best variety of content.
I thought that orange honda in the dealership looked familiar... Good job, I got my 03 civic in September of 2019, same notorious oil leak, plus a crumbling air filter housing to carburetor gasket. Spent a couple of hours at LKQ for some splash guards.
Replacing that camshaft cover is kinda similar to my field of work. Dr. Anus Phingerer, MD
I love selling honda's... I would of blacked out the peeling trim and fixed the gas cap door and hub caps and tinted it... then send it for 1950.oo ...I use to make a living at this so much i had to get a dealers license! I miss it ! Seeing your videos inspire me to do it again just as a hobbyist though...! Thanks for the videos, great job!
He said finagle. Thats all I needed for a good day.
$1300 for the fully running honda is very good deal. Whatever profit for what you do is very fair., and you are helping earth by repairing old disfunctional car to be useful for someone else. Worst thing is mostly good cars being sent to junkyard and meeting crusher
Ha, Tyler’s abandoned road has that affect on fuel doors 😂
I need some more $300 fix and flip cars in my life...
No worries about the high pressure washer. Every engine bay I hae ever done probably hundreds I have used high pressure soap and rinse. Just leave the engine running and well just dont like spray the fuse box or well anything else that doesnt like water.
Timing belt needs replacement also again at that mileage.
This Honda has more than a 100,000 miles left in it 💯💯💯💯💯💯💖
Original Price $300 + The official Honda gasket, Plugs, Coil Packs, Valve Cover Gasket w/Bolt Grommets (Estimated) $300. 'More labor than expected' but, you looked liek a Surgeon doing it. I Laughed so hard at the You Must Drop A Bolt Joke! Sold for $1,250 totally worth that and Total profit in 1 day around $650! I might start doing this!! Awesome! Great Video!
350 dollar estimated prices wtf? I think you Americans might be getting ripped off.Because I just checked up my local parts store and all of them combined only costed 100€ OEM! The cheapest ones and it would've been less than 50 euros combined.
You should do more quick flips, you are king of the quick flips. It makes a great video too!
I got a 5 second O'Rilies ad the second he said "let's go into O'Rilies."
Lol I got a coinbase dogecoin ad before a video where a guy survived on dogecoin
my 2003 es8 has over 350,000 miles. . drove it without the radiator for like 10 miles. . engine overheat and cut off. . .write it off like 4 times and completely destroyed it. . . and the engine still works perfect
*Phone Rings*
"Hello?"
"Hey yeah it's the guy you just sold that Honda to."
"Okay, what's up? Did you forget something?"
"No, I had to pull over on the highway, the engine overheated bad and..."
*Hangs up*
*Blocks number*
Buyer then proceeds to show up at sellers house later that night with his boys, and steals his $1,250 back.

Changing the valve cover gasket doesn't stop the oil leak in the spark plug sockets, that would be the lower oil seals under the valves.
Gotta be careful on the transmissions on the 01-05 civics and accords with 4 cylinders.
We not using standart transmission anymore..we use close ratio by spoons...
The manuals are awesome i had one hold 285 with no issues.
Should have checked through and removed coil packs before parts run. Knew that valve cover would be shot, seeping oil into plugs, plus oil is all over right side.
We all been there running back and forth tho, it’s always more than it seams, u got where you wanted to go.
Nice
Should get that Fiero running and sell it to help the R8 funds! 😂😂
awesome video! I"m in the process of flipping a 2009 nissan versa I bought from a relative for 500. can't wait to fix it up and get it cleaned up. its running on 2 cylinders. I love honda's though right now i'm getting my crx back on the road.
How does titling work in Kansas? - Did the previous owner sign the title over to you, requiring you to register it, pay tax and insurance - that would mess things up financially - how did you get around that?
He probably "skipped" the title.
Yeah just have the sellers signature. Don't sign the title. When you sell it, give the title to the new person.
Fitting for being your most viewed video. Absolutely perfect❗️💯
R8-Honda Civic....R8-Honda Civic.....R8-Honda Civic.....and you sell the Honda?????? wtf were you thinkin?
Mistakes Were Made 😂
@@WatchJRGo It must have come down to mileage for ya yes?....i always sell the car with the highest mileage myself ( even tho 200,000+ is the new 100,000)..but im sure that was the ONLY factor in your decision....i can see that now...
I'm really surprised to see these old car not so rusty. Here in Canada after 15y+ most car start to break apart from rust.
It does not snow too much in his area of Kansas
It was so cute how you opened the door for her 😂💙
AC/DC - Shoot to Thrill playing in the background when you were cleaning the valve cover was a good touch lol
The way you worked so fast gabe me anxiety like slow down and enjoy damn 😂😭
Assassin_Redeye looking for that comment
There is a SERIOUS water leak in the cabin. So much condensation is visible running down the interior of the glass. That explains the sagging headliner. I'd check the drains on that sunroof
if I was you. Prolly smells a bit ripe in there too. haha!
Everything is always “real quick” with J-R 😂 Love this channel 👍
Also, I had the same issue with that little plastic cam seal. Super easy to change out. I also did the valve cover gasket. Also easy. No leaks 👍🏼
