  • Plumbing Quotes can be time consuming so we thought we would try something a little different on this job, quoting the job without actually going to the property but did it work out?
    In this episode we will be Plumbing and installing a Baxi combi 830 replacing an old Ferrolli boiler and updating some other parts of the heating including some radiators and repairing some basin taps to get this property's plumbing ready for the new family.
    We encountered problems straight away and they got worse when we tried to core the new flue hole, but plumbers are problems solvers so see how we overcome these hurdles.
    Also we will be trying out a new range of @velocityprogear bags including the Rouge 7.0 and the 3.5 jobbing to see if it helps us with our few days work

    That boiler job looked a right pain in arse 😢 you still did a good job of it though and the end result was still neat and tidy in my opinion. Rad valves pointing in the way looks a lot neater. Cheers for the vid

    That’s my patch Stourbridge, was based in Halesowen until I moved to Stourbridge four years ago, I dont tend to work too far from home nowadays with traffic etc, but I do tend to get people to photo message me a lot of jobs as well, saves running around wasting fuel, and sometimes not getting the job as well.
    Looked a bit of a ball ache of a job that as well😀

      Moving in on your territory 😂 was a one off for me that far, used to go Halesowen every Monday on my apprenticeship to pick up work for week…the flue was a pain but once it was sorted wasn’t too bad, could of been better but for there in the end 👍

    When you were measuring for the radiator brackets at approx 16 minutes you added 40mm to 160mm and got 190mm ! it should have been 200mm. 🤭

    Job looks good !
    I’m not a fan of blind quoting , we do have a portal on our website which lets the customer send us information
    Creates a massive backlog 😅 I prefer to meet the customer and I feel it gives them more peace of mind more than anything , also that there is an engineer behind the computer screen 😂 keep up the good work mate 👍

      Thanks mate. I was thinking of one of them quote builders on my website but I think it would get abused and not very good leads, quoting in person a lot better but worked out ok on this on 👍👍

    Neat install mate fairplay. Regarding the towel rad valves, only a Philistines would put them facing outwards.

    Just replace manky old taps. Normally most taps need it before the flexi's fail anyways. Plus more 💰💰

    • @bluebulldog_uk
      @bluebulldog_uk  3 месяца назад

      Customer choice with taps just told them il repair or if they get new i will fit, wasn’t on flexis was on solid connection which is rare

    Towel rad valves not pointing inwards just looks wrong.
    Do those tundish have a non-return valve to stop smells? I hope so...
