How to clean, remove / refit condensate trap Ideal Logic boiler step by step
This video is for GAS SAFE ENGINEERS only, always follow manufacturer instructions.
Before to start any work on gas appliance isolate the power, turn off the gas and the waters.
1. Remove front cover
2. Download manual
idealheating.c...
3. Remove rubber pipe
4. Turn the trap clockwise to disengage
and lift to remove.
5. Clean the condensate trap.
6. Refit trap and rubber pipe
7. Test to not have leak

Should the condensator trap be refilled with water prior to putting it back in? I just followed this video and didnt refill it. However, other videos say you have to refill it. Please can you confirm? Thanks!

Hi quick question - why did you need to dispose of the water? is it not connected to a plastic exit pipe?

You have to clean the condense trap to not build up sediment because it can block it and then the boiler will stop working. Yes, it's connected to condensate pipe.
