      Did you ask the guy from Ideal why all their Logic Sumps split, & why they’re blaming service engineers for over tightening the screws?

      @@TheDickPuller The new sumps are ok now i believe.

    • @kevincranfield5235
      @kevincranfield5235 3 года назад +1

      My point was that if you clean the probes each year on a service, in my experience a small wire brush does the job, for the small amount built up it’s enough to remove the carbon, however if left for some time, I agree a file or something more substantial would be needed to remove it. But at that point I would probably replace the probe. And we don’t blame people for Sumps cracking.

    Is the silicon tube on most gas valves a compensation tube or does it move a diaphragm to close the valve. Baxi duotec needs a neg pressure on tube to open the valve are some just to compensate and get true mixture

    • @kevincranfield5235

    Hi mate my friends boiler has a f2 fault he is a gas engineer but dose not fault find boilers
    His boiler somethines fires up and works for 10 mins then cuts out f2 fault
    But has started not really working at all now constant f2 fault any ideas / tips to try.
    We have checked gas coming to boiler and when it tries to fire up gas seems to pull and like I say works occasionally so we don't think gas valve

      @kevincranfield5235 3 года назад

      If it’s around 8 year old plus, the boiler runs but just randomly goes to F2 whilst running, my guess by your description is you have a faulty pcb board, but I would need a bit More info to properly diagnose.
