I'm a newly qualified engineer with very limited breakdown experience. Your videos are hugely improving my knowledge and making me more confident on jobs. Thanks for your help. 👏 👏

    Brilliant video bro
When seeing if the pressure drops on the gas valve when opening is it off the inlet or the burner test point you find that 🤔👍

Theres a simple trick to see if the gas valve is opening. Think of it like a mini tightness/drop test. Connect your gauge to the gas inlet of the gas valve, then shut off the gas tap on the boiler. This has trapped the gas between the gas valve and the tap and you'll read the standing pressure. The fire the boiler, if the gas valve is opening then obviously it will use that tiny amount of gas up very quickly, so youll see your reading drop like a stone as the gas valve outlet side opens. hope this helps.

Pretty outrageous any gas safe engineer compromising the boiler and human safety by cutting the condensate line - did you get an identifiable registration number? Well saved.😀👍

Why would he take a reg number? Cutting the condensate during freezing weather is pretty common we've done hundreds, or you could pay a gas fitter to come and defrost your condensate everyday for a week 👍

@@lukemcgarry6771 an internal condensate line going to kitchen waste line is much more likely to block in the condensate trap or back up from a blocked (rather than frozen kitchen waste. Customers are told over and over again to use Gas Safe Engineers and customers should reasonably expect professional, safe and conscientious service that does not prejudice customer safety.
