Had an automotive shop for 25 years, I always owned Chevy's. After realizing that Toyota owners only visited me for state inspection and service, hardly ever for repair, in 2008, I went Toyota. That Toyota still flawless at 126,000, now I purchased a 2019 Tundra TRD PRO. I had a family member who drives an F350 tell me that Tundra is junk. I simply said to him, one day you will grow up and realize for yourself, and he just gave me a blank look. The Ford guys are the worse, brainwashed! Awesome video, keep it up.
This a beast, You have a truck that will drive 200,000 miles. Not a techno truck. Reliable, capable and looks awesome. A truck to live in the outdoors. My pick.
@@10tenman10 Haha that's only if you literally buy the highest model and literally all the accessories (and I still doubt it would total over 75k). A solid SR5 Crewmax with off-road package you're looking at around 40k give or take. With longevity and reliability of this truck. I'd say that's a deal.
The people that buy these is to cater to those who want a modern truck which reliability and not not fuel mileage or the electronics of a Gmc or ram or f150. We need a category for the people who do want new and old school is the way to go. More simple. Just drive without think about your rims or running boards less to tear up. Smartphones can make up for apple car play. Get a car charger wireless at bestbuy for 20 dollars and do without those options if it tears your young not forced to take apart your dash for something simple. The same thing with the Nissan frontiers they last. Japanese just gets it right with the simple design and usable trucks. Mine has almost 90000 miles it drives like it did at 17 miles. And I replaced a light bulb, belt and new tires. Same brakes that will give you a whiplash no noise. And it drive city daily. It just works. If ford can make a truck as good I'd buy a ford.
If you are looking for luxury, try the 1794 version with wood and saddle interior it is striking. How was braking? Was there a lot of nose dive like there is in 4-Runner? I avoid the 4-Runner because of how bad the brakes and feel are, nose dive and really soft break pedal.
My family has had a very great experience with Toyota. Our first one was a RAV4. Now we have a Camry. I've heard great things about their trucks too like the Tacoma and this one. Tacoma, though, I'm noticing gets better fuel mileage than this Tundra even though you can tow more with the Tundra.
Do you get tired of the sound of the exhaust noise? I commute 110 miles daily at highway speeds, and while I like the sound, I wonder if I'll tire of it. Thanks.
The problem with the TRD Pro is that it is based off the SR5. The leather isn’t that good, there’s not heated seats, no Dual Zone automatic climate, no JBL audio. The problem with tundras is that they don’t have keyless entry, remote start, they have an outdated stereo without CarPlay, ad well as a bunch of other small things. I can deal with one or two missing things, but not a pallet of them. I want a tundra really bad but it needs more features
No factory remote start, no Android auto, no rear axle locker, no app like Chevy, and still mist use key to lock tailgate... however it's priced above competition. LTZ Z71 with 6.2L
Way too much, I bought new 2015 limited DC, added TRD pro exhaust and TRD pro F/R shocks, same truck with better interior for less than $44K. Got 72K miles and no problems other than back up sensor going out. I hated that crap anyway, so no loss for me.
Funny. I have watched about 10 of these reviews about the Tundra. Just about everyone liked the "big" knobs for the climate control, but never say anything about the tiny audio controls right above. Funny. He did not tell you anything but how pretty the truck is and how fun it was to drive. He said nothing about how the truck could drive through all of that snow and almost never spun it's tires.
“Incredibly capable truck”... really? It’s long and has open diffs. No crawl control, no locker. It’s literally just a truck. Bulletproof, but not capable more than other trucks that size.
Would like to see Toyota introduce an 8spd (or more) transmission to put in the Tundra to help with the fuel mileage... Keep everything else the same if need be...Personally, I don't think $63.9K CAD is that bad for what you get in the Tundra TRD Pro relative to what other trucks go for. With that said, no dual climate control? That's a little pathetic at that price point, can't lie.
No push button start, No Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. Same ugly boring ergonomics, very dated. I Love Toyota quality so don't beat me up here, It's just that I am ready for Toyota to really upgrade their interiors to the 21st century. When they do that I'll go get me a Tundra cause I know they are good trucks.
I have heated seats on my 2014 Tundra SR5 5.7L. Honestly I only used them twice since it was in the negative zone during the time but I'm not a fan of it, it's just pointless to me cause my butt is always warm (were I currently work at) and I've heard/read bad things about it burning and damaging the seat. So that's one major reason why I don't ever use it.
Thanks for checking my TRD Pro review, please check out my other truck reviews with this playlist: ruclips.net/p/PLTNzXaqyq6Ru_26T4Uf6-fkKTi6g1s1mJ

I've put 384k miles on my tundra and hasn't had one issue...try that in any other truck

Charlie Porch I'm about to get one. I'm coming from a 07 Titan with 245k miles. Hopefully one of these will do the same.
@@Bru946 hold on for about 1 more year. Tundra releasing a new redesigned truck. I was hesitant, but might as well wait. Right?
Chriz Sea. Yeah I agree. I might wait it out and drive the Titan for a bit longer haha
Tundra- spends a lot of time at the gas station.
Big 3 trucks- spends more time at the dealership.
As much as I love my tundra, 15 mpg is a bit ridiculous
if your worried about mpg get a small car, trucks are for power
I think the pricepoint for this car and reliability is the compelling reason to consider it.
@paquitos hammer
Is it really that expensive? Wow.

Having less technology like push button make this truck unbreakable. Old is gold.
Too late. Push button and auto start both have issues in the tundra 2020+
I've been idolizing the TRD Pro for years .... Finally, traded my 2016 TRD off-road in and got a 2019 TRD Pro ..... It truly lives up to the hype
Just purchased mine today ...so nice !!
You lucky basterd
what color?
The Black one @@bluesky3694 ... Thanking about changing the tires but every thing looks so nice stock :)
I'm jealous
waiting for my 2018 trd sport lease is up, then getting new trd pro
The F150, Ram and Silverado together would not make a pimple on a Tundra’s butt.
I so too many reviews about the tundra trd pro 2019 ,,
But man this is the best review ever ,, thanks a lot and ,, i hope soon i will buy one 💪🏻

I would say the braking wasn’t as strong as the 4Runner, but I have yet to experience a truck that has carlike braking abilities
It be nice they kept the color cement for the 19 PRO.
MY DREAM TRUCK

Under rear seat storage compartment is an optional add on. Front seat extension for your long legs are in the Platinum model.
They gave you the “Papa Smurf” version to test! 🤦🏻♂️
I love my 2019 TRD Pro in super white.
Great review!!!
Do you get tired of the sound of the exhaust noise? I commute 110 miles daily at highway speeds, and while I like the sound, I wonder if I'll tire of it. Thanks.
Exhaust noise was undetectable at highway speeds, and the wind noise was not overly concerning on long highway stints for me

Can always wait for a fuel cell tundra 😀

does the 2019 tundra trd pro come with front and rear sway bar?
Crawl control is only for serious offroading. The Tundra is way too big for that. I drive a Tundra, and have had 2 4Runners and a Land Cruiser.
raptor is also big, is it the same here?
I had an old sequoia. I suspect this is a similar vehicle. Quite reliable and predictable car. Seems a bit dated though.
No leather steering wheel....but Tacoma TRD has one....
I got the 17 tacoma Trd pro the cement grey
Thank you for an informative review
Thanks for your comment!
“Incredibly capable truck”... really? It’s long and has open diffs. No crawl control, no locker. It’s literally just a truck. Bulletproof, but not capable more than other trucks that size.
The ONLY drawback is the 14mpg hwy... Gas is expensive AF here in California.
Good review

You don’t buy a tundra and worry about gas
ehhh I am a Ford guy but Toyota doesn't want to change this model yet for some reason which makes it disappointing
If it ain't broke, why change it.
@@pnwmv I really do like the platform but Toyota has to change that l the way the truck looks
Mpg on the tundra is horrible for a "daily driver"
Yeah, I said this too. For a daily, I would opt for a Tacoma for better mpg.
$65,000 for this truck... I'm second guessing on buying this.
It's sad why has Toyota let this and other TRD products flounder into a somewhat 3rd world class product? This just can't compete in today's market.
Edward???

And yet the interior still looks like a 90’s Toyota Celica full of cheap material.
i test drove one last Saturday. i love it. i got it on my website, wanna see it. go to www.speedfresh.net

no crawl control still in 2019 on the Pro tundra ? for $ 63000+ dollars ? ..its a pass for me
45-50k price tag actually.
Johny Hansen No about 50k
Can' t beat the raptor ! That toyota Looks , suspension are no match for the Raptor
Take it off road
The exterior is nice, but the interior looks like its 15 years old. This truck is good, but no where near Ford and GM.
It’s great at draining ones wallet of gas money
Wow, cars that came out in 2010 have more modern technology than this POS. I'll stick with my '19 Raptor. 😉
Chris Kelly until one of your pricey turbos goes out and causes more damage. Hmmm maybe it's best you stay with your '19 Raptor😉
@@Bru946 Thanks, I will stick with it and actually enjoy the hell out of it. 😉
Haha silly goose. You dont know what you are saying. Coming from a Ford owner.
I'll keep my Tundra and the extra 20 grand I have in my pocket because I didn't buy a Raptor that sounds like a turbo charged hair dryer.
