You’re pleasant to watch. You always have a smile on your face.
Thank you!! That's so kind!!
Can we talk about how your makeup is always flawless?

For such a young girl - you are so ahead of the game! Taking responsibility for everything that happens in your life is actually all your own doing! You rock - I’m 50 and just got this! I applied passed everything so far wIting on my face to face!!thank you
OMG how exiting! Did you hear anything yet? I am 44 and looking into applying, any advice please? Good luck to you!!
I love your positivity despite your exhaustion and crazy schedule. Keep Safe.
I fly 87 to 95 hours a month. But I only fly 4 days in a row. Your schedule is crazy.
I fixed most of it but that schedule was tragic!! I used to fly 95-105 hours and still didn't have any schedule as bad as the one I got haha!
I love your videos. And this is random but your skin looks amazing & I like your hair a lot in this one. Your makeup is gorgeous & I like seeing your natural face too . Your energy is contagious. I'm not a flight attendant but I learn so much from you anyway. Keep smiling!
That is so incredibly sweet! I love reading comments like this and really appreciate all of your kind words!
Okay, all that is terrible for your sanity and health, but just hold onto that ADORABLE TINY KETCHUP BOTTLE. HOLY CRAP IT'S CUTE. I don't even eat Ketchup but that is honking amazing.
I just laughed so hard! Isn't that bottle the cutest?!
"nespresso over keurig. if you dont like it, fight me" i love it!! haha
I love your honesty and sense of humor with everything that happens. Even with that questionable room, you had a smile. Honey, I would find a better hotel next time. I was worried about you going out of the room!! If everyone had your attitude the world would be a much nicer place. Hang in there. You can clearly handle anything that comes your way.
Thank you!! Haha and I definitely didn't pick the hotel! My company provides them to us so I just get to luck of the draw lol!
I love your vlogs they are honest and comical at the time but remember, even on a shit day we"re having yet your vlogs make us smile....so thanks to for bringing in on a rainy day, a ray of sunshine on. To make us happy;
The ketchup is soooo cute so adorable 🥰
Your schedule reminds me of mine when I was a Field Engineer. Was always flying someplace on the planet. It was a lot of fun back when I was single.
As a FA for your Airline, I wish I could like this three times, LOL...I was laughing so hard at that schedule, I have totally made mistakes like that back in the day-let us know how it pans out....I wish you luck clearing all that away! :-)
As soon as I read the first six words I thought this was about to be a hate comment hahaha! Glad it's not and thank goodness I have cleared most of the mess up! Not all. But most!
@@KatNesbitt hahahah aww, no, no hate, no shade! just found your channel and I'm loving your vlogs, I am not a high time flyer at all, so when I saw that, I just felt the realness. :-)
Haha love it!!
Best older sister I never had ! Thanks for the advice !!!!
Just to say I admire you honesty and you accepted your mistake with good grace. Hopefully that month was manageable.
I enjoy your videos, thank you for providing us with all the information. I had video interviews and the waiting is killing me, I would love to become a flight attendant.
You have a fantastic personality and i really enjoy your video's. Im a stay at home mom and watch your stuff in my Me Time. Thanx for making my days easier😊I have always wanted to be a flight attendant. Have fun living your dream and keep up with all you're doing. Its great!
YOU HAVE A FANTASTIC PERSONALITY AND REALLY ENJOY YOUR VIDEO IM A STAR MOM AND WATCH YOUR
GOOD ATTITUDE! You got this!
Thank you Maile!!
I'm leaving for training in SLC May 15th so naturally I'm devouring all the FA RUclips videos that I can and I LOVE your personality! Thank you for doing travel vlogs and sharing so much
Hannah Rose Mansfield hey good luck in training!! Watching RUclips videos honestly helped me a TON as far as knowing about reserve and the actual everyday life of flight attendants!!
Thank you both ladies! Let me know if there is anything I can do to help and good luck with training! You will love it!!
Awww love... your attitude during this is on another level of patience. Who on earth is building these lines??? In my opinion, it seems cruel and inhumane. I am sure the commuters will take those from you in no time.. I hope so!!!
They did take them thank goodness! That line was definitely not for me! Most stuff I was able to drop or trade!
But what, there's more! Hahah. Oh gosh... I feel for you.
Most of it has been dropped or changed! But definitely got a good learning experience!
Your schedule is crazy! That is terrible that buddy bidding waives all those! Hopefully you get some good trades.
I got some awesome trades THANK GOODNESS! Haha!!
I’m addicted to your videos
Kat, the old saying. Live and learn for June going forward.
Good luck
Yes I was able to drop and switch most of it! But definitely was a good learning experience!
1yr since your upload! Love the videos and now I’m a FA too, how crazy 1yr can change thing’s
That is crazy!!! I can kinda relate.. my schedule next month is like the complete opposite of what I wanted 😔
Were you able to drop or trade any of it?! Thankfully I was!
I love your videos!☺️
Thank you so much Jenny!!
oh Kat that schedule really sucks!! I hope you can get rid of a few. It's gonna be a long May. :( I agree Nespresso is sooooo much yummier than Keurig, but Keurig is cheaper and they are more available. :) Even after seeing your May schedule and having a rough flight you are still smiling. You rock!! :)
Yes Keurig is much more accessible and they do have even off brand pods, that's very true!! And I've gotten rid of some of them so far so it's looking a bit more hopeful!!
Missed the small print did you Kat on your buddy bidding? You won't make the same mistake for June I'll be guessing. You're an engaging and fun person to watch, loving your channel, keep the vids coming!
I buddy bid with my friend and got that disaster of a schedule haha! But most of it was able to be dropped or traded! And thank you so much!!
You have a great attitude Kat!
Love your hair. A lot of trips
When you order in room service from the hotel, they always give you little bottles of ketchup and mustard, if you order breakfast, you get little glass jars of jam for your toast... I pocket those in my big purse when we're on a road trip and it comes in handy when there's not enough condiments in your fast food to go. When we're on a long road trip, I pack up snacks and fruit and water and if I have those little ketchup or jams, I pack up those two and bring some of my own silver and napkins. I hope you still got enough rest with your crazy schedule! 💖
Come to Colorado Springs!
Lol!!
I am new and i don't think this will happen.
Hi Kat! Just started watching your channel and love it:) You’re personality is so captivating!
Do you think you somewhere down the line you might post more than one vlog a week??🤔🤞🏼
Yes, when flying was slower I was posting 2-3x a week but now that I'm working more it has been a little bit more challenging finding enough time to work, film, edit, and take care of my household. But yes, definitely yes!!
Wasnt that white flat thing on the wall an ironing board
Yes. They also have them in the closet if it isn't on the wall. :)
omg la carreta is the best!!!! it's like literally the go-to spot if you want to try essential hispanic food
YESSS! My video didn't even do it justice!! SO GOOD!
Definitely!
Don't forget to check all hotel/cruise cabin beds/mattresses for bed bugs. 😝
The next time you're in MIA try the Bacardi To Go restaurant. The BEST empanadas. It's towards the end of the D gates!
also your schedule gives me anxiety LOL I hope it gets better
Gave me anxiety too when I saw it haha! Will definitely have to make note of that! I need to get empanadas next time I go!!
I second that I just tried them last week. Like an adult hot pocket!!
La Carreta is lit.
I love watching your videos, It makes me so excited to be a flight attendant, hopefully soon. On another note, the funniest thing happened while i started watching this video. It has been clear skies all day long where i am at, but as soon as i started watching this video and you were talking about the rain, there was thundering in the background, I paused the video to see if it was just your video, and surely enough it wasn't lol. Then came the rain, I just thought how ironic. hahaha , anyways love your videos and look forward to more :)
Hahaha!! I add that in for dramatic effect!! Kidding but how wild is that lol!
Commenting late as only just found your channel. How was that buddy bid schedule even legal? The contract might say you waive certain rights, but surely there are minimum standards from the FAA or unions on work schedules?
Ok , it say 90 hours approx. How many hours are actually involved. I believe those hours are in the air.
Both my parents were regional worked in the 50s. My father finnally ended up at Northwest Airfreight (a big ass building in MSP where 50 semi trailers can back into. A lot of cargo conversation came out of MSP (747-200/747-400 cargo)
My father used to do weight and balance in his head. Computers were for weather only. Back then. Good flights Kat
Aye American Airlines fam. I’m a fleet service clerk at ORD. Just started watching your channel, keep up the videos 👍🏻
So would i be right in thinking that when you try to impose your will on crew scheduling (Buddy Bidding), they will punish you for trying to make their job harder?
You should make a video about how to become a flight attendant. i.e. what degrees you need and such. What age can you become one and other useful info.
U ever been to alaska?
"NO, no i dont" HAHAHA
Kat, I saw another FA video that she dropped to 40 hours a month and she has only been with AA for about 3 year’s is that possible? After, how long you start with AA how long can you drop your hour’s? Thank You
OMG. You survived
What is it like landing in the snow and rain
I'm from Miami I used to run the empanada restaurant there
Do you use your phone to blog ??
love your channel!
what is usual for minimum flight hours in a month?
like for someone who wants children in the future and only wants to the least amount of hours
The lowest amount we are allowed to fly as a lineholder is 40 hours in a month. And thank you for the love!!
Holy damn. I’m asking myself a lot today.
I think that's an ironing board :)
What is the longest trip without having a layover
Yes, I have a like
Lol what??
What lipstick are you wearing
ODANS suck horribly for the crew - i am sorry you have to endure those. That said, I fly UA from CHS and it is normal to have a mainline flight from ORD during the summer. I make sure to thank the crew as it is nice to fly a 737 over a E145 but I know it sucks for the crew.
Thanks so nice and yes they do! Some people love ODANS though! I only like them when I want to get in from a trip early lol!
Can you do a video about resumes?
Sure! Is there anything in particular you would like to know??
@@KatNesbitt Advice in general or advice for things that employers would be looking for, stuff that would make a resume look more favorable to them, or just anything you could tell us would be great!
Eating at such odd hours must be hard
What are all those green boxes mean?????
Can you do updated terms video
Do you have different crew members every time you fly? How do you maintain good social friendships at work if you have new crew depending on flights? When you take a flight somewhere, do you fly with the same people back? :)
so a lot of the time, especially with bigger airlines, you could fly with people for a few legs, and then never see them again, or at least not for a super long time. But a lot of times people will find others they just connect with and they could be at the same base, so they can just normally be friends outside of work too. i also know some people that they will trade their flights around so they can try and be on the same crew as somebody else. But a lot of the times, yeah its just different people you'll fly with
As a flight attendant do you have to adhere to the usual check out time at the hotels?
SANDRA RUSSO no
And here I am thinking the (probably flight #'s) is the pay per flight...keep looking when she flipped back to the screen and realized they are probably the flight numbers :)
But I do love your videos Kat! Just found you recently and you are super fun to watch:)
What is a buddy bidding?
But wait.... there’s more!
It’s a bit like a sales pitch
So i’m 16 at the moment and i really want to become a flight attendant. i have been watching videos like crazy. i can’t wait. any advice ?
patience. that is the biggest advice i think almost anybody can give. For example with me, i applied for my airlines, and i did not hear anything back for 6 months, then i finally was given an email saying they would like to interview me. it was another 2 months until my interview, then 4 more months until i began training. so an entire year had passed since i applied. Then some people will go through all of that and they will be sent home during training and have to go through all of that waiting again. So just make sure you are able to play the waiting game, save up money for all of wait, and also just keep an amazing attitude about everything
From what I’ve seen & read about becoming a FA, customer service experience is important. So look at what you can do to demonstrate your ability to work well with others in various settings. (Ex. School clubs, tutoring, babysitting, retail, volunteer work, internships) Think about where you want to live & what kind of areas you would like to see as an FA. Do you want to work for a regional or mainline airline? Are you willing to re-locate & what kinds of areas do you like (Ex. big cities, smaller areas, mid-west, southern states, east or west coast) If you are interested in working on international flights or working for a non- US airline ( Ex. Air Canada or Emirates), learning a foreign language may be helpful. Knowing another language will make it more likely you can work international flights even before building up seniority. Save up money - some airlines have paid training while others do not. Either way, you will need some savings built up to help you cover expenses during training or for moving. Learn CPR & other first aid techniques since FAs must know how to deal with medical emergencies. Consider getting certified to help your resume/application stand out. This certification may help you get other jobs while you are a student. Learn as much as you can about the aviation industry & being a FA by reading professional publications, networking & through informational interviews. By keeping up with industry changes & networking you can learn how to be a strong candidate for the jobs you want.
Anne Araullo wow thank you for your time writing this! So helpful! I am 44 , worked customer service since 2004, but stayed home for 7 years raising my child, I am doing research on becoming FA, it will be hard to build resume..., is it possible for me to get this job and My first language is Russian , do they look at that as a bonus or not? Thank you so much for your help;)
I don’t know if I missed it in the video, but what does buddy bid mean? Does that mean trying to have a friend on the same flights the whole month/a few trips? And when you say “within the legal limit” when a flight attendant was quick called, does it mean how soon they need to be at the airport from when they’re called? Because in another video you stated that one flight attendant was late who was also quick called, but was within their legal limit. And what do you mean you’re legal for a trip by like, 6 minutes? Sorry for a million questions 😂
Great questions actually! Firstly, buddy bidding is where you bid matching monthly schedules with a friend. Secondly, "legal limit" is usually referring to how long you are allowed to fly within a day before you go illegal. So when I was legal for a trip by 6 minutes it means if that trip was six minutes longer I wouldn't have been able to be on it because my day of working would have been too long. They have all of these legalities to keep passengers and crew safe because we can work reallyyyyyy long days sometimes. Lastly, quick calling is where they assign you to a trip that has less than two hours until the check in time but you have two hours to get to the airport from your house regardless. So if you are quick called they may have someone preboard a flight for you until you get to the airport.
Kat Nesbitt thank you! That’s definitely helpful! Now what happens though if the flight goes over? Because we all know that happens lol. Like, if it’s supposed to be a 1 hour flight, but because of weather or delays or whatever it turns into a 3 hour flight, what happens then?
Butt wait theres more
I love your videos. Somehow I just like listening to your voice. Keep up the good work. They got me working from home and u make my day go by sooo much smoother. Thank you 😊 #GayFan
My area
6 days off with only 90hrs?!?!
Don’t know if you’ve already done it. But I can’t stop focusing on your beautiful glowing skin. Please let me/us in on how to and what you use. Thank you in advance.
I don't have the best skin care routine so I don't want to make a video on that just yet. As far as foundation goes, I usually use dermacol.
You just look amazing - and I love your spirit and work ethic. High standard for showing and performance. Love your attitude and your explanations. I’m not a flight attendant but you make it understandable. I like to travel. I don’t think that tourists on flights are giving you and your colleagues (enough) credit for you working hard to make us having a great flight and holiday. Came across your RUclips channel and I can’t wait for you to post next time. Oh, I’m from Denmark btw...
Denmark?! That's so awesome!! Greetings from the states!! And thank you so much! I love reading such kind hearted comments like this!
Lol as me being a future FA lol I’d take this lol
You are crazy!! Hahaha. You can keep that schedule lol
I'm not an English speaker, but i feel i can understand your speaking so well! Where's your accent from?, I wonder
Her accent sounds pretty American to me, not sure which region though haha. :)
I'm from good ol' Dallas, Texas!
Speaking of screaming kids, how do you contain yourself and what about the other passengers?
Screaming kids on my flights just remind me why I choose not to have kids hahah! No, but honestly I feel more sorry for the parents than myself and usually I try to help them out if I can!
Kat Nesbitt I feel for you. When my children were very young I prepared in advance and they never cried. Once we were flying to a family member’s wedding and didn’t realize our son was starting to get an ear infection. He didn’t even cry then. Parents need to pack suckers and pacifiers! And entertainment or be the entertainment, lol. We always had great flight attendants. You have a really hectic job! Tfs!
Think of the extra money 💰 🥴 hang in there! Hope all works out well
It's been good so far! I got rid of some stuff, not everything but it's a start!
Put the kids in the cargo hold.
Gosh your gorgeous..
What's a buddy bid?
Sweety, you can blame the company for not making clear what it would mean for you. They did not warn you about what may happen which means them liable for that.
Live stream Q &A covid-19 HOME Florida
Wow why would anyone buddy bid
You transform into a different identity when you go from red hair to brown hair.
What does buddy bidding even mean?
Thanks for explaining all that to me FSU
5:26 actually 7, you weren’t scheduled to work the first.
I DID NOT know that when you buddy bid you waive all your legalities.. I need to brush up on my contract as well!! Hopefully you can drop/trade and manipulate your schedule. I agree though, especially with this job is that you only make a mistake once! :)
Me either! I thankfully was able to drop and trade almost everything I wanted to! And yes that was definitely a learning experience to say the least!
Half moon
Can’t have everything ur way so
What is buddy bidding?!?
Great question! I should have explained that better! Buddy bidding is where you and a friend who are both line holders (not reserve) request to bid for matching schedules so you can fly together all month!
If you aren't documenting. Do you feel untethered from your sense of self? Do you talk to us more than your husband? A wondering, hungry ghost. "Would you like the can, sir?"
If I showed you my work/college schedule, it would look as bad as that... but for four months 😂. I hope it all works out for you. Safe travels!
Oh no!! I feel so sorry for you! I was able to trade or drop most of it thank goodness!
You're going to stroke out later in life if you don't relax a little.
Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Six days off only. No way!!!!!! 13 days in a row. No way!!!!
Yessss way!!! I've already gotten rid of quite a bit of stuff thank goodness but I learned my lesson!!
Wow....I work 90 hours in almost 8 days. I wish I could do 90 total in 1 month
Lol our schedules are set up differently from most jobs. For flight crew, 90 hours in a month means "inflight hours" not the amount of hours you are actually working. It's a little complicated to explain but you also have to think about how our check in times, standby times, and our layover time isn't included in our "hourly rate" so you are actually working a lot more than 90 hours.
Kat Nesbitt omg
Geez lady, you are drama
