When you see a BIBLE read psalms 91: the whole chapter it’s peaceful
Manny Reyes that is my moms favorite psalm
Omg that book store is amazing! Powell’s is a place you can spend days in if your as much of a nerd as I am
Yes it was amazing!! Spend days and lots of money!
Kat, you don't have to be scared of the bible situation. I think maybe God wanted you to read it.
Don't mind me im just here a year later... binge watching all kat's videos 💜😂🤷♀️
Kat you forgot the most important part about PDX.......NO SALES TAX! Excellent hack about keeping things cool. My wife is a flight attendant for the One World Alliance member who flies out of Hong Kong. She's based in SFO, but lives in PDX. After all her years of flying, she'd never heard of that hack. She's definitely going to start using it because a lot of her crew hotels have no refs. Thanks for that.
Deschutes is pronounced de-shoots. good try though! 😂 also, I have lived in Oregon my whole life about 30-40 min from Portland. How have I never heard of Blue Star Donuts!?
Hahaha dang it! At least I got close lol. You have to try it! The customer service alone made me happy we went! If you have any cool Portland recommendations to do or try I will totally take them!!
Because everyone always goes to Voodoo Donuts! I’m going to Portland in June and will try Blue Star!
both are great as a portland native!
Blue Star are the BEST donuts. Took the fiancé there two weeks ago...we live near NYC. So had to get him some donuts and beer in my home state of Oregon.
Pine Street Biscuits, Altabira, the Japanese Garden’s, OMSI, the GORGE!!! multnomah Falls, timberline lodge, the alpine slide (during the summer)....
Your channel is not one I would normally subscribe to but I saw your amazon travel essentials video and now you have made me fascinated with flight attendant life!
Glad to have you anyways! This life is crazy but so much fun!!
Me too! I’m obsessed now!
@@annrobertson3737 Thank y'all!! That's incredibly sweet!
KAT IS AWESOME
Next time you HAVE to go to Salt & Straw for ice cream! Tea Chi Te for a good tea, Moonstruck for chocolates, and Voodoo Donuts!
Awesome!! Thank you so much for the recommendations! You're the second person to tell me Voodoo!
I have to second this idea! The lavender and honey is my favorite flavor, as is the strawberry black pepper and balsamic vinegar. So yummy!
VooDoo sucks and it is filthy dirty inside. I can't imagine how dirty the kitchen is. That is if you don't get stuck with a needle on your way there.
Please go to pips donuts next time! Literally best donuts in pdx. Take it from me born and raised!
Powell is a 5 Block multi story bookstore! Lol. You need to go to the Japanese Gardens and the Rose Garden! And Voodoo Donuts. And to Uwajimaya and Kinokuniya if you drive to Beaverton.
That's a good idea Kat when the fridge don't work to put the food in a sink with towels & ice, I'm praying for you Kat
Portland is amazing I’m so glad you got too experience it my sister lives in Portland love your videos :)
You are the most upbeat, positive person, always with a smile on your face no matter what difficult situation you're faced with. I thoroughly enjoy watching you. You have made me realize that I should put your eyes on when I wake up. Thank you for your sharing your experiences. God bless you and keep you safe always 🙏 ❤
Really liked this one even though it from 1 year ago. I'll peruse the links for places to go.
“I need some sage or something” 😂😂😂
I was shook! I seriously was bugging out the rest of the night haha!
Kat Nesbitt they just had the draw set up to stay open so anyone inclined would know where it was and there had to have been a slight slope to the floor under the nightstand.
@@sabrewolf9567 your framing of the question is terrible. I am atheist but damn get a clue.
Mickey Valois dam sorry merely wanted to make her feel comfortable if her views were relatable. The vast majority disagree with me, so no disrespect just curious?
The Bible is God’s love letters to us. No need to fear it.
I love your videos but ive never commented before. I live in central OR but i visit Portland frequently and you went to alot of the spots i was hoping you would. Deschutes Brewery is originally based in my hometown of Bend, you did butcher the name but ill forgive you. The Hot Toddy IS Awesome
Hey Kat, that’s funny cause I also live in Charlotte & I’ll be moving to Portland at the end of the month!
In Portland: Walk, Eat, Drink, Powells, repeat. LOVE Portland! Pack a Polartec .. for summer! Portland Airport:Best. Airport. Food. EVER!
💯❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️💯☝️☝️☝️
You should go check out Pioneer Courthouse Square, Portland Art Museum (if you have time), Voodoo Donuts, Pioneer Place (Under ground mall), My high school St. Mary’s Academy ( Go Blues), Pizzicato(right next to my school), Moberi (açaí bowls yum!!), have fun! Love ya!!!!
Portland is my happy place! I have family there, so I visit frequently. If you like tea houses, definitely visit Fly Awake next time you're in town. (flyawakepdx.com) My favorite is called The Lunatic.. NO clue what's in it, but it's delicious.
Love tea!! So thank you so much!
I now want to go to Portland. Simply because that hotel and those donuts looked amazing. The sights were also very pretty.
Oh honey! It's not just *A* bookstore. It is the most wonderful bookstore known to man! Love Powell's so much. Welcome to Portland!
Also, if you get the chance, go on up to Pittock Mansion! There is an absolutely amazing view of the entire city from there, and if you go in the spring, summer, or fall, there are so many beautiful flowers blooming!
are you able to share info about the ring on your right hand? Thanks, love your videos. I worked for the same carrier years ago....fun, fun.
Would you ever do a video on what you pack for reserve days when you don’t know where you might be going?
Yes I can absolutely do that next time I'm assigned OPR!
Kat Nesbitt thank you! Love your videos!
@@takeflight1994 Thank you so much!!
I love that you were so freaked out about the bible drawer as I would have been. We were in the city (NYC) awhile back just to play around and my fiancé wanted to go into a cathedral... I told him "if smoke starts coming off of me, it is not my fault" lol
I lived in Eugene, OR for 5 years and when my family and I did visit Portland we went to OMSI it is a scientific museum with an optional submarine to tour.
Love your channel, been waiting till you have a chance to come to PDX ( Portland airport). Lots of bad things has came out in news the last year about Portland. Not all of Portland people are bad. It is a place that it was not a year ago. Hope you have a good day in the city of roses. Portland can have some strange people but not all of us is strange. At least you was here on a day without Portland liquid sunshine (rain).
My favorite place is Washington Park Rose Garden in S.W. Portland, the Oregon Zoo is closed to it. Our Max train public transit system make getting around Portland easy .
Thanks for a good report about my home town. We do have our issues but also have a lot of good things to.
Hi Kat, María, DID YOU KNOW YOUR A CHILD OF THE KING OF KINGS & JESUS LOVES YOU SO SO MUCH, THATS ALL I WANTED TO SAY
The night stand is clearly not level. If it ever happens again, just put some folded paper or cardboard under the lower side (in this case, under the front of the table). That should help. If it doesn't, call a young priest and an old priest.
Next time you’ll have to try Departure. Amazing restaurant with the best views.
Thank you for the tip!! I just googled it and a picture of sushi popped up so I know it has to be good!
The crispy pork belly is amazing! I love your page. Husband is moving to Tennessee for work so I’ll be a frequent flyer to TRI from PDX and your videos have given me great ideas to make the travel easier!
Kat Nesbitt a good oatmeal hack for every cup of oats a cup of milk mixed together Maybe if over night in the fridge for breakfast wouldn't know the difference or at least i don't
I’ve always wanted to be a flight attendant but just had a baby! Is it hard to work this job if you have children?
lol i do that with the coffee maker too at my job at the hospital with the oatmeal🤣
And now Portland is one huge portapotty! Yeah, the key to the city is tied to a cinderblock!
OMG the fridge tip is amazing!
I always pack a refillable ice bag pack. Hotels always have ice machines and it keeps the contents of the crew bag cold. Then you can dump out the melted ice in the morning and refill the bag with more ice before going down to catch your ride.
You can also those beef sticks at AmPm and 7-11.
You should check out Portland City Grill...it is on top of the bank building and has the most amazing views from the bar. Great food focused HH also.
Awesome!! Thank you for the tip! I will google it now!
Yay I’m soooo happy you loved Oregon 🌲🌹 Come back soon!!!!!!!
Legal by one minute 😂 I can’t haha, amazing
Oh my goodness! I found your packing videos today and instantly subscribed. PLEASE do a video of your makeup routine! (Also, is that an Aggie ring?)
No joke, I just filmed a makeup routine but the lighting was awful so I deleted it. I will refilm it soon though! Yes ma'am class of 2015! WHOOP!
@@KatNesbitt Whoop! And Gig'em Ags. Class of 2015 here as well.😁
@@K-Sand Whaaat?! GIG EM! Such a small world haha!
"Make sure it's nice and withe, if it's brown dumb it and start over"
MY SISTER PATTY RADIVOY LIVES IN PORTLAND OREGON
Bring peanut butter and crackers next time.
What time did you guys get into Portland that night
Are you single?
Half her videos include things about her husband...
I really enjoyed your Portland Layover. Portland looks nice. Thanks heaps for sharing your food tricks. Amazing organiser.
Hahaha welcome to my hometown! Best place ever!!
You need to check out McMenamin’s
Yup...that's my town. Hoping they base me here. Lol.
Your ring is so pretty (right hand)
I stayed in the same hotel when I went to Portland, what a coincidence. Check out Tom McCall Waterfront Park, and the Rose Garden in Washington Park.
Just for the future....It's De shoots Brewery. HAHA!
Hahaha! Whoops!
If it's brown flush it down
I just started watching your videos and I love how you just put it out there and you really don’t hold anything back.
So question, what did u mean by you were legal by one minute?????
Thank you so much!! Basically because of how long I was already on duty for OPR and how long the flight was to Portland, there was only one extra minute making it 'legal' for crew scheduling to give me that trip. Does that make sense? I hope I explained that well enough haha.
Kat Nesbitt yes it does, I can’t wait to watch another one of your videos :):)
@@Luvbeefjerky Thank you again!!
I JUST STARTED WATCHING YOUR VIDEO AND LOVE HOW JUST PUT IT OUT THERE AND
Can you go past the “legal” limit, if your flight is either delayed, diverted, or it simply takes longer to get to a destination (I mean once you’re flying; I understand if the flight is delayed before takeoff and you go past legal you have to be taken off the flight)?
I can’t imagine that once a flight attendant hits legal that you stop working mid-flight!
have you tried running your bathroom hot water till it's really hot and using that for the oatmeal?
I never know how potable the faucet water is going to be so I do my best to stick to bottled water.
Departure in the Nines hotel is a great view point and an awesome place to get drinks. The food is okay, I would suggest going to Urban Farmer for food which is a few floors down.
I had to thumbs up for you blocking the holy drawer LOL
I was terrified lol!!
Just started following your vlogs, followed you on Instagram but spelled your name wrong and followed some random person by mistake. Lol.
Multnomah Falls.
Love your channel. You have great energy !! Love your personality 🥰
Thank you so much!!
Powell's Bookstore never let's you down, unless you get lost in it. 😩 VooDoo donuts is another nice spot to visit as well!
I love Portland! The food, the vibe, and the people are amazing!
Left PDX 12 years ago...best decision ever!
Jim Sabo.......don't come back
@@surferdude44444 Hahahaha
My son got engaged at the bookstore in Downtown Portland. 😘
What a lovely place to pick!! That book store is huge and absolutely amazing!!
I moved to Salem Oregon a year and 5 months now and I still love it as much as I did when I moved, was from South Carolina
Great vlog Kat! I You can't go to PDX without a visit to Voodoo Doughnuts, and I recommend the "Old Dirty Bastard" (doughnut covered with crushed Oreo's and peanut butter drizzle).
VooDoo is gross. Can't overstate that enough. Barf
I want to ask how do you feel about the leggings or spandex on the plane ? What is your feeling
Yes, Portland in March can be quite chilly and damp. Not as cold temperature wise as the east coast but the dampness kind of gets through everything. In Summer it's great here! Usually no east coast humidity.
Looks like Kat got some great weather during her visit, compared with what we usually get in March.
You must visit Pine State Biscuits. He’s from NC. He missed Biscuits from home. You must go.
Numerous locations, too.
I looooove Portland but it is so expensive! I mean, I live in LA and that is expensive too but Portland is beautiful so I would rather live there lol
Post notification squad ❤️😭👏 love your videos 😘😭
Thank you so much!
Me too love your videos ❤️
Jack Links snacks are made in the town over from me in minong wi
Luc Lac is a really fun Vietnamese restaurant!
Your my favorite RUclipsr😁😁😁✈️
That is incredibly sweet!!
If you go back and feel like venturing a bit from downtown, I definitely recommend the Alberta Arts District. Really cool neighborhood with neat spots. I stopped for a coffee break at Case Study Coffee on Alberta Street...neat place!
Perfect!! Thank you so much!
I love your videos. You should come to Denver. We have a lot of fun things to do.
I love Denver! I always seem to get really short layovers though! I will definitely try to be back this summer!
I live in Portland and I love Southland whiskey kitchen and vadoo doughnuts is good too . I would highly recommend do a short hike to one of the waterfalls
Step up your donut game. Voodoo is barf city
You are so much fun to watch I really enjoy all of your traveling comments and traveling gear suggestions. I bought the scarf and I love it!
I live in Dallas and travel quite a bit and I will see you sometime.
Thank you so much!! That would be amazing! I travel to DFW as much as I can since that's my home state!
God is trying to talk to you? 🤷♀️
You can get a small box of I think 6 pieces at Walmart, of the Jack Links for cheap. They also have a lot of travel size foods.
Next time I'm there I will have to go look for it. The Jack Links teriyaki flavor is probably my favorite even though it's a little higher in carbs. SO good!
As a crew member are you allowed to carry more than 3.4 of liquids?
Mark Stewart I heard you can carry full size products but Kat will solidify that for us!
Hey I live in Oregon! Near Medford Oregon which is about a 4 or 5 hour drive from Portland!
How beautiful! Do you have any pdx recommendations by chance?
What is the name of that hotel? It is great!
About and hour and a half from me :)
I have to say I’m impressed with the hotel. Because god knows I seen and I’m sure you as well have seen some dumps. When you get home how well do you sleep lol
As soon as I get home from red eyes or odans I pass out for hoursssss haha! And dumps would be an understatement for my regional hotels. So far all of my mainline ones have been nice because contractually they are required to be 5 star hotels lol
Ugh Powell's is the best!!!
What brewery did you go to ?
Voodoo doughnut is another great place in Portland!
It is a horrid donut place. Dirty. The staff is quite rude as well. Hard pass. So hard.
I don’t understand, do you have a problem with the Bible?😇
Sonya Phillips No, I just have a problem with drawers opening by themselves lol
Kat Nesbitt 😁😁😁😂😂😂😂😂
First video i watched from you and it’s all it took to subscribe : )
Aw thank you!! I really appreciate it!
Love your vids such a beautiful lady love how you share your daily life keep up the awesome work love propel so good 😘
Awww that's so sweet! I really appreciate all the love and support!
There are also some amazing coffee and doubt shops
Any recommendations of specific ones??
Just started watching your videos and subscribed immediately!! I have a question, how do they determine what based you get assigned to? I know I’ve heard they give you 3 options depending on the airline, but is that completely random? Thank you in advance😊
Bases are assigned based on vacancies/availability of the base/immediate flying need. Each company is different, some give you more than three options, some can give you less. They will basically determine they need x number of people at one base, y number of people at a second base, and so forth. Usually it is based on seniority (oldest person to youngest) but I have seen airlines use other methods to determine who gets their first choice and so forth. I hope that made sense lol.
Also welcome to the party! Haha
Kat Nesbitt ohh gotcha! It does make sense lol thank you! I REALLY want to be a flight attendant but hoping to be ORD based but I’ve heard it’s tough cause it’s a popular destination lol but thank you again and maybe I’ll see you in the skies😊
@@dennisecisneros372 You will definitely see me in the skies! ORD is popular but you can always transfer! Just make sure when you're applying you look for airlines that have a base there!
Kat Nesbitt I’m planning on applying for your airline😊 how long would I need to be with the company before I can transfer?
Love your videos! Thanks for posting!
I really appreciate it!!
Me, too! 💖
Great stuff! I vote for Utah!
Haha Salt Lake City is pretty cool! I've only been once but I loved it!
Ahhh wanna go to Portland so bad!
It's an absolutely amazing place to go! Highly recommend!
Better go before the mayor and governor destroys it completely
New Subscriber 💕
Welcome and glad to have you!!
i love this
Thank you!
Hope you enjoyed that trip out here to Portland! I am originally from Charlotte. Was born there and lived in town for a number of years. The approach up over downtown and out around St. John's in N. Portland is the best although rarely flown as winds usually don't blow that way.
