The gum wall started in the late 70’s. A few years ago the city scraped all of the gum off. But.... the people said no way! 🤣🤣 So they started sticking gum on the wall again, like right away. 🤣🤣 The people won! That wall is really cool. I adore SEA layovers (um the looong ones lol. ) If you’re a vegan there’s plenty of great choices downtown. Plumb Bistro is tops ❤️!
I'm not vegan but that is really cool they have variety! And so interesting about the gum wall! I had no idea!!

I live in Los Angeles but Seattle is my favorite city in the country so I visited there three times just in the past year. Love the market, the parks, MoPOP, museums, food, COFFEE!!, and just walking around on the cool cloudy days.
As a Seattleite, we call it Pike Place Market. 🤭 And you had Ivar's?! Omgeee, they have the best tartar sauce!!! I always grab a few jars whenever I go back to visit. Glad you enjoyed Seattle! I miss my city...💚🤗💙

It's a good thing that you were in a downtown hotel. Before the pandemic happened, I would go to Seattle every year for a sci-fi convention, and the hotel that it was held at, was right near the airport. The flight crews were staying at that hotel were placed in the wing that was the farthest one from the front desk (about a 1/4 mile walk from front desk to the rooms), and the view was either a small lake/reservoir or part of the hotel parking lot.
🤣🤣🤣 I'm eating a LATE dinner and even I feel nauseous from that gum wall! RIP Bubba 😢❤❤
I recently had a Seattle layover and loved it as well! We've had some AWFUL storms in Dallas lately too so I feel you on that scary driving. That was so nice of David to give you treats for your dog, I swear flight attendants really are some of the kindest people in the world. :)
Yes I've noticed Dallas has had bad weather as well! Seattle is absolutely stunning!
i absolutely loved being there....my cousin lives like a 10-20 min walk from everything touristy...there is a lil brunch place called CJ’s eatery...the best omelette and mimosas ever!!...as gas gum wall she said city cleans it off every so often and people just start re-sticking it

What is your favorite thing from Ivars? And yes go! It's pretty gross but also interesting to say you've been hahah.
My favorites are the 3 piece fish meal, the calamari, and the clam chowder. I haven't been able to find any fish better. I really love all their seafood. I am going to be in Seattle at least two time this summer, and hope I will be able to eat some yummy Ivars. They use to have it at the airport. I always wanted to be an flight attendant, but my grandmother wanted me to be a dental hygienist, and I ended up being a medical transcriptionist.. LOL!

The gum wall is the second most unsanitary place in the world- but you HAVE to put gum on it there. Also it’s the meeting point for the ghost tour of Seattle last time I did it

OMG this video makes me miss Seattle 😭. I went to biscuit bitch for breakfast one day and LOVED it, but didn't have time to go to pike place or the ferris wheel! I'm going again this year for sure!!! I remember staying at the Westin, I know I saw plenty of airline crew check-in and out, but I'm not sure if you stay there? Definitely feeling FOMO lol
SeaTac, PDX and PHX used to be my homes when I lived in the west. Now it is all EWR, Tampa, JFK....I miss the west coast terminals.

You're so lucky you're literally in the heart of Seattle also next time you go to Seattle one and tip go down to Richmond Beach amazing sure it's like a two-hour drive away from Seattle because of the traffic but it's technically a part of Seattle Beach might not be the cleanest but it's super beautiful you can you can see another islands in the distance and there's some very big mansions over there and the best Chinese restaurant ever called the Golden unicorn I grew up there so I'm giving you advice and if you want to see one of the best schools in the state check out syer it's something like that I don't know but it's super cool the school the beach the neighborhood it's just amazing it's amazing

I really don't want to steer you in the wrong direction, this was my first time in Seattle so I am not sure about exact names of hotels but I would be sure to get a hotel within walking distance to Pike Place Market because that area is really nice!

another suggestion next time you need to go to the back of the plug place market there is a person who makes paintings He's been there for over 90 years and I've only been living for like 10 but I still know him also there's a really good Chinese restaurant inside of the Pike place market on like a second floor next to the fish place Delicious next time check that out you get like of you too so yeah just yesand did you know there is a secret place on top of the space Needle only for celebrities and if you are not a celebrity you are not even allowed on it and next time you go to the Seattle please go up to the top of this place need those amazing it's flipping amazing you can see everything better than a hotel better than a boat better than being 50 stories in the air you be like 100 stories in the air but since it's just an elevator that goes all the way up and no stories it's amazing also fun fact the bubble space needle it burned down in like the 90s and they had to rebuild it that's why it's so tech more

The olive oil bottle? As a flight attendant I don't have to follow the liquid rules, but for a normal passenger you would need to put it in your checked luggage!
Were you grossed out about the gum in Seattle literally that's the famous landmark Seattle's gum wall so I mean if you were grossed out about it I'm not appreciated because that's a landmark a lot of people go there just to see it and see how the space needle and some of our beaches and a rainforest is but that's a landmark it's not a best and most famous landmark but it's famous so it's actually not gross it's called the gum wall it's more like a gum alley and it's famous

Those nails are so bad for you!!! They make my nails burn when I try to put them on! I don’t know how you can handle it.
The eye makeup on your left eye is so much heavier. Either too much mascara and/or fake eyelashes but it’s hard to see anything else but your left eye.
That gum wall is just nasty and I’m glad I didn’t see that when I was there. It was fun to watch the fish mongers, though.

@@KatNesbitt question for you on AA international business class. I've seen flight tips about ordering your food ahead of time to make it easier on crew. Does AA do this on international business class?
