I had this ultrasound guided FNA of my thyroid done today. The shot of lidocaine stung and hurt badly. That took my breath away. Then, the interventional radiologist did 5 needle sticks in different parts of the nodule. I did feel that back and forth movement with each one. I felt pressure. Now, my neck is still sore. When I swallow, it hurts but other than that, I am fine. May God bless whoever is having this procedure done.
I just found out I have a .43” nodule. I only found out because I had a very bad motorcycle accident and it was on a CT. Thankfully I read the report because the doctor didn’t tell me about the nodule.
Just had it done today at st mary corwin hospital and they opened up about 4 - 6 needles and biopsied 2 more cysts. It was an uneasy feeling i had but not overwhelming
I get this done Monday and please tell me how the fuck I’m not supposed to lose my shit? I have AWFUL anxiety and they prescribed Xanax for blood draws and it didn’t do shit. And I’m so angry because this isn’t fair. I will have an anxiety attack. I will not be okay.
I feel your pain. I had this done today with 5 cuts from each nodule. This shit HURTS. I tried deep breathing, praying and holding on for dear life. I do not EVER want to go through this again!
Actually, it was easy! I felt the pinch of the lidocaine, and that was it. My worry was for nothing. My doctor was very reassuring, and I was on my way in no time. And my results were negative. I would not hesitate to do it again.
Did it today on 3 nodules. She used lidocaine. Felt pressure and some discomfort. I was so scared of doing it that I asked the doctor for Valium. She prescribed one pill for me. 😂 Honestly, the fear was worse than the entire procedure. My neck feels like I was in a car accident. I’m using ice and OTC pain med. they said about 3 days. Everyone can survive this. Go have ice cream afterwards. 😊
This video doesn't help me. I already have this about more than a year ago. The ENT wants to cut and take pieces of the thyroids nodules and the Lymph nodes, one that according to the CT may be the result of a limpfoma that metastasis from the thyroid itself. The first time everything was benign, but something isn't right. The ENT told me that aspiration isn't as complete as the way he wants to do it, which is taking pieces to do many lab testings.... Yes!, I'm scare. Just wondering what it will be like.
Kindly let me know my dad have this after this treatment no any issue kindly let me know pls I m really so wooried about this what happened if some one have this experience kindly pls let me know 😢
I just had a thyroid biopsy today and they took 5 samples from each side. This is the most uncomfortable procedure I have ever endured. I am sure that I will have nightmares for several nights.
This was HORRIBLE! 16 powerful jabs into my neck. My neck was black for 10 days. And because they didn’t use ultrasound to guide the needle, they got nothing definitive.
@@UppityOne I have no idea. It was performed by the pathologist at a top hospital. When I asked if it’s done with a local anesthetic, I was told no. We don’t do that. I will never, EVER have this done again without the ultrasound and a general anesthetic. It was barbaric.

How much its cost?
Just had it done today and felt the same way. I only had to pay a $40 deductible.
@@kbalasuresh2883 I had to pay $744 over what the insurance covered.
I had mine today and same here. Did you guys take Motrin or Tylenol for pain?

How did you do?
Wow you need Jesus in your life, hope you doing ok
Demand a General Anesthesia. This takes less time than a Colonoscopy so whatever they use for that might work for this. Stand up for your rights.

Oh wow how did it go?
Tolerable? Minimal discomfort? This is 2024. It shouldn’t hurt at all!
Delusional much! 😂

I have to have this done can I request to be sedated? Cause I'm extremely nervous and have high anxiety
Thats my question and the same thing for me
I would!
Demand the most sedation that they can provide and that there is an ultrasound for guidance as they do the procedure
