Thanks for doing this video. I am just finishing up a clutch job and have the trans/subframe back in and torqued, but my power steering line routing is off. I forgot to put the lines between the rear mount before installing. Doesn't look like a huge deal and might be able to just loosen the bottom bracket bolt and wrangle it from below, but we'll see. Wouldnt have known how to route it without this video though!
Any tips to thread back into the rack. Having serious trouble getting things to align properly after getting the new hose back in. (Purchased OEM). Threads on rack are not stripped as i cut the old line and it threaded in no problem to check.
Hi, thank you for showing us how to replace the hose. I have a 2004 TL. When I start the car there comes a lot of smoke around the left side behind the engine. The power steering fluid also decreases. Might this be the issue of a bad power steering hose, that is dripping the fluid on the exhaust which causes this smoke? Hope you can help me out. Thank you.

It happens lol hopefully you didn't have to remove everything again
@@MrRangerZr1 got it all back together without major issues. Definitely a tight fit though!
What do you do in the step that says unplug power steering switch?
There is an electrical plug on the green switch, just disconnect it.

It is very annoying, just need to fiddle with it.
What’s the second line in the video for power steering is it the return line hose?
It's the old line next to the new line

Great video man!
Do you have to bleed the power steering fluid after changing the hose? If yes, how did you do it? Thanks for the helpful video!
Refill with new fluid, start the car and add till the reservoir is topped off.

Yes
Good job
