As world travelers, you know it all and it's a good thing that you share your experiences because a lot of unpleasantness can be avoided through your experience of difficulties, which is always good.
Especially the advice if you play defense when it comes to crossing a border and everything that entails bureaucratic responsibility, such as the example given of the sale of the car.
It's better to know in advance... than to suffer from not knowing later.

It's been awhile since we've driven down Baja. Besides FMM, is there another document needed to cross the state border into Baja Sur? I seem to recall making sure we got this document in the north before reaching the border between the states. Thanks for clarifying and thanks for making this video.
No they will just spray pesticides under the vehicle as you cross and ask for a fee. Sometimes they just wave you thru
I thought you didn’t need a passport to go to Mexico 🇲🇽?
Unfortunately it's hasn't been that way for decades. Definitely since 9/11
