At the beginning of this film, don't give any ideas... one day there will be three-story hotel auto caravans... hey, maybe that's a good idea!
I'm joking, of course, but you never know if it will be a feasible idea or not.
In fact, now that I think about it, maybe it is.
And Spanish may be slightly different both in syntax(?) and in pronunciation, which is sometimes very different, so this is a good bet on a good digital dictionary app. But in essence I am repeating what you have already implied.
Especially when it comes to personal essential medication.
When I went on my honeymoon by plane to Brazil, after 7 or 8 hours in a closed environment, they fumigated the interior of the plane with the passengers still there after having warned them and I think it was to avoid the importation of mosquitoes.
It's funny that through a simple and calm conversation you can memorize much better than reading a list of advice.

How do your kids and the cats cope with these all day border crossings? 🤔

They keep each other company and get thru it like champs. Not fun for anyone but a necessity of this life style.
