    my personal head canon is the destruction of skaro at the hands of the Doctor and the time lords was such a massive outrage for the daleks that the survivors of both factions actually put their hatred of each other aide and joined forces to destroy the race that was now their most hated enemy the time lords, they took on the new bronze casing to show that unity and single minded new purpose, which elementally led to the time war, as the doctor said time will tell it always does

    If you've not already read it, you might like the arcane wisdom hinted at in Ben Aaronovitch's novelisation of Remembrance of the Daleks, the closest thing to the 'original' explanation of the Imperial Daleks. The little bits of detail in this book are where a lot of the Big Finish stuff comes from - for example, the opening monologue in Lance Parkin's 'Davros' where he's considering suicide comes straight out of Aaronovitch's book...

    I've a theory (and story idea) that it was the Imperial Daleks that went on to become the Time War Daleks, (except maybe the Cult of Skaro), while the Original/Renegade Daleks seemingly 'died out' or went missing, (again possibly except the Cult of Skaro, who might have been Renegades but switched sides during the Time War), the Paradigm Daleks were created using modified/corrupted original (Renegade) and Imperial Dalek hybrid DNA, meanwhile, the smarter and more dangerous Original/Renegade Daleks (who consider themselves to be true Daleks), are still out there in hiding, awaiting for their grand return, still led by the original Black Dalek Supreme (and the Doctor's true arch-enemy), who faked it's destruction and had actually used a prototype 'Emergency Temporal-Shift' right in front of the 7th Doctor) to escape and rebuild the Dalek empire, without Davros. Speaking of which another theory I have is that at some point or later the Daleks discover a devastating temporal anomaly left over from the Time War (and more recent multiverse events, I'll of which, including the Timeless Child timeline alteration, were part of a plot orchestrated by the Vineyard, err, I mean Valeyard), that threatens their entire existence as well as the entire Universe, thus in a Grandfather-Bootstrap, 'Chicken and the Egg' kind of paradox, the Daleks, (perhaps in their own stand-alone adventure) have to travel back in time down their own timestream to Skaro during the Kaled & Thal 10000 year war to ensure Davros gets crippled (even if they have to do this themselves), which in turn will lead to their own creation, leading to a scene where Davros tries to remind the Daleks that he created them only for the Supreme Dalek to respond with this twist, "True... But it was the Daleks who created YOU..!"

    I prefer the premise of the Imperial Daleks over the rest, being as they were true cyborgs (bionic blobs with bits added, or having functional appendages with some kind of mechanical prosthesis grafted onto their very bodies) rather than either octopoid things or even more mutated blobs in a tank. They also have that massive Emu beak on the end of a long muscular arm that can strangle you even after their top section containing their brain has been destroyed.

    It would be so cool if we could get a little of the Daleks speaking in their actual language on-screen at some point. The glimpses Ben Aaronovitch gave us in the novelisation of Remembrance are such a tease. A fully canon but fan-sourced conlang project would be the dream of course!

    • @Dray1

      I've never really thought about the Daleks native language, that's actually something to look into.

    I think the Renegades did win but Davros got back into power (kind of) and redesigned them as Psudo-Imperial MK2 Daleks, Davros went from white to bronze so that no one would notice, the gold spheres and slats. are kind of a giveaway.

    • @Dray1
      @Dray1  2 года назад +4

      Good interpretation, it does make sense that Davros came back to power as he obviously didn't die, perhaps he just sort of faded from being ontop and was tolerated by Dalek Prime in the Time War

    I like to believe that the Renegade Daleks didn’t win the war but simply moved on to fight the Time war and I also theorise that perhaps 🤔 there are still Remnants of the imperial Dalek faction, hidden through time still experimenting and reeking havoc on the universe.
    However another explanation could be that Neither faction won the war as they were all destroyed by the destruction of Skaro. So davros created an entirely new batch of Daleks to fight the Timelords in revenge for destroying Skaro. Xx

    • @sword4005
      @sword4005 Год назад +2

      personally i like the idea that the destruction of skaro caused the most unlikely of scenarios that both surviving faction dalek called for a cease fire and eventually joined together against a common enemy a enemy that threatens all dalek kind, the doctor and the time lords there hatred for the now perceived greatest threat, no more expansion and conquest every moment was was dedicated for the war against the time lords eventually becoming the new who daleks and beginning the time war a outcome not even the doctor could have predicted

      Davros was at one point a humanoid, but was bombed by the Thals which crippled him and turned him into what he is now. I’d recommend listening to Big Finish’s “I, Davros” series if you want to learn more about him.
